Tried the viral Japanese soufflé pancakes, and they’re as soft and airy as they look!
Each pancake is made to order, so it comes out warm, fluffy, and perfectly jiggly. The cafe itself is bright and spacious.
*Salmon Egg Benedict $22.75
Instead of the usual English muffin, the poached eggs sit atop cloud-like soufflé pancakes. Plus, it’s such a great deal that you get a free cheesecake on weekends (I believed it was a limited time deal).
*Original Basque Cheesecake $5.99
They offer original, matcha, and black tea flavors for the basque cheesecake, and I went with the staff-recommended original. I wasn’t expecting much since it’s a pancake cafe, but the cheesecake turned out incredibly creamy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
*Matcha Tiramisu Souffle Pancake $18.75
I’ve seen some reviews complaining about the pancake size, but in person it was actually huge and very filling.
The soufflé pancake was airy, jiggly, and beautifully risen, served with matcha-infused mascarpone cream and matcha syrup. The matcha was quite bitter and one-dimensional on its own, but better with strawberries for balance.
I got their matcha latte for free as I got a set, but I didn’t really like the bitter aftertaste.
