A Bagel Shop Bows Out of Manhattan After Over a Decade | Eater NY

"A soufflé-focused shop has opened in the East Village, joining existing U.S. locations in New Jersey, Texas, Florida, and Georgia. The menu highlights include soufflés in flavors such as cookies and cream and crème brûlée, drinks like matcha mango lattes, and playful items such as croissant–waffle mash-up sandwiches, along with other sweets and beverages." - Emma Orlow

We ordered one matcha soufflé and one original, and both were really good. These are soufflé-style desserts, not regular pancakes — super light and fluffy, and not heavy at all. The matcha one had a nice matcha flavor, not bitter and not too sweet. The original with fruit and cream was simple but really comforting. The cream wasn’t too sweet, and the strawberries were fresh. Overall, everything tasted fresh and well made. The interior is really cute and modern, with a bright yellow and white color theme. The space feels clean, cozy, and fun at the same time — definitely a nice place to sit down, relax, and take photos. It’s also pretty spacious, so it didn’t feel cramped. The desserts look great for photos too. Overall, it’s a nice spot to relax and enjoy something sweet. I’d definitely come back to try other flavors.

Tried the viral Japanese soufflé pancakes, and they’re as soft and airy as they look! Each pancake is made to order, so it comes out warm, fluffy, and perfectly jiggly. The cafe itself is bright and spacious. *Salmon Egg Benedict $22.75 Instead of the usual English muffin, the poached eggs sit atop cloud-like soufflé pancakes. Plus, it’s such a great deal that you get a free cheesecake on weekends (I believed it was a limited time deal). *Original Basque Cheesecake $5.99 They offer original, matcha, and black tea flavors for the basque cheesecake, and I went with the staff-recommended original. I wasn’t expecting much since it’s a pancake cafe, but the cheesecake turned out incredibly creamy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. *Matcha Tiramisu Souffle Pancake $18.75 I’ve seen some reviews complaining about the pancake size, but in person it was actually huge and very filling. The soufflé pancake was airy, jiggly, and beautifully risen, served with matcha-infused mascarpone cream and matcha syrup. The matcha was quite bitter and one-dimensional on its own, but better with strawberries for balance. I got their matcha latte for free as I got a set, but I didn’t really like the bitter aftertaste.

The place is clean, bright and atmosphere overall very pleasant. The girl working there was welcoming, incredibly nice and attentive. Prices were reasonable. The avocado and egg cruffle was good and the fluffy pancakes definitely hit the spot! The original basque cheesecake (forgot to take a picture) was a pleasant surprise. It tasted like flan-flavored cheesecake!

Great breakfast sandwiches Very fluffy pancakes with a lot more seating than other similar stores. Enjoyed the sausage breakfast sandwich and fluffy pancakes. ONLY good for sit in seating since it’s fresh and takes 20 minutes to make. Coffee is quite good but extremely small sized for the price. No ketchup for the truffle fries but the mayo is good. Overall very satisfied.

The food here is amazing, and pancakes actually feel big and fluffy. The advertisement photos and videos don't lie. The sweet items are not overly sweet and feel genuinely fresh, and the savory sandwiches are really good. The service is also really nice, workers are very friendly and welcoming, especially Brendan and Suzen. Atmosphere is also amazing, with nice ambiance and music, they even turn off the lights to make it more comforting in the evening. Even though they are advertised as a brunch place you can come here any time for the sweets. Over all, the place is a must visit and every dollar is worth it with the portion sizes.

This souffle shop is amazing! Their desserts are incredibly soft, fresh, and perfectly fluffy. And the best part — they’re not too sweet, which is basically the highest compliment you can get from an Asian dessert lover. The creamy aroma and delicate texture make every bite heavenly. Honestly, I could eat this every single day.

I finally made it to Fluffy Fluffy NYC and the pancakes were yummy! Super soft, cloud-like, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I also tried the ham & cheese croissant which was a little salty but tasty. Bonus points for the fact that they serve alcoholic drinks too. I had a peach Bellini, which leaned a bit too sweet for my personal taste, but still refreshing and enjoyable overall. The space is cute, the staff was friendly, and everything came out pretty quickly. Great spot for a casual brunch date or a solo treat-yourself moment. My only issue was the mandatory tipping system. When you go to pay, the screen makes you choose a tip before you can even complete your purchase. You order and pay before you sit down. Tipping is a courtesy, not a requirement. I believe in tipping for good service, but it should never be forced. What made this even more frustrating was that I was asked to tip before I even received my food. At that point, I didn’t know if the service would be good, if my order would be right, or how I’d be treated. In fact, I ordered a BLT and ended up with a ham and cheese, so I had already tipped before even realizing there was a mistake. Food was good, but I wouldn’t return. Ig@thefunfluencer

I couldn't wait to try these pancakes and they did not disappoint! We ordered the All Day Breakfast and the Signature Pancakes, and everything was beautifully served and delicious. Excellent service and very friendly staff. Will definitely go back.
