Great neighborhood bar with a super friendly owner and employees, great drinks, and tasty food (pizza, wings, salads and sandwiches). Popular local hangout, everyone was friendly and seems to know each other.

Nice location. Appreciate their holding space for game nights. Wings were not very good even at 1/2 off. Don't go out much so still having a hard time wrapping my head around dropping $18 for 2 beers...

Bartender was really kind, and food was yummy! Usually bar food can be kinda meh, but the sandwich and quesadilla we got were satisfying. Fun environment too! Went for trivia and there was a good balance between "accessible" questions (easy enough for a beginner like me, but still had to think about it) and really good brain thinky questions. Whoever hosted trivia was also absolutely hilarious. We had a great time! They also ran a fundraiser which made it feel like a community in a place I'd never even been to before. Gorgeous art and a pool table as well :)

Popped in here a couple times by chance. It's not in my neighborhood, so, I can't make it over on the regular. There are too few bars in the city with their own food kitchen inside, and that is one thing I miss about living in the Pacific Northwest. It's always nice to find a bar in town with a hot food menu. My first time here it was a pub trivia night. Otherwise, chill, friendly, good feng shui.

It is a nice place to stop in, meet with friends, and have a few. Has a pool table. Very nice bartenders and decent food the few times I've had it. I'll be back.

A laid back, easy going neighborhood bar. This isn't the place to go to be seen or act flashy. But if you want to have a relaxing talk with friends over a pint, this is the place. Its beer, wine and a handful of soju cocktails here (no hard alcohol). There's always a great selection of beers on tap to choose from and, as one would expect from SF, the wine list has solid options. Folks also seem to love the sangria. There are several foods to choose from, but the pizzas are the real winner. Small enough for one person to enjoy and always delicious and simple. But honestly, you're coming here for the atmosphere and vibe, which is dim and not fussy. Put on your hoodie, grab a seat at the bar and watch the world go by outside the windows or chat with the person next to you. Fly Bar has been on this corner ... well, I moved to SF in 2004 and it was already established then. This is the place my friends and I always meet up at to catch up. It's homey. It's got a easy fire to it (not artificial feeling injected by design and loud music). This is a place you can still glimpse a little of the old San Francisco heart that is so rapidly changing these days. Try this place. I bet it'll become a favorite.

Terrible menu! Left half of the pizza in the plate, couldn’t eat. When I asked for ketchup they said: we don’t have fries so there’s no ketchup (wtf?!). Awful experience, never more

Visited for happy hour. Great bar vibe and friendly staff. The food was extremely mid but the nice bartenders made up for it. Tried the nachos and margherita pizza.

Took my British friend here and he loved it- reminded him of the pubs in the UK! Good meet up spot + nice ambiance inside with bars on window in typical SF fashion.

Fly dranks, bartenders, and vibes. Laidback but trendy neighborhood bar on diviz. This is a good size bar with plenty of seating, table tops, tvs, and a pool table. I love the local artwork displayed and the lights everywhere. It really livens up the moody space. This is a casual spot to grab a bite and drinks. They have a nice selection of can drinks/seltzers, a fun cocktail menu, and decent food menu (it's a bar). Fly Bar is easily one of my boyfriend and I's favorite bars in the city. One of the main reasons we frequent this spot is for the $6 "add shot to any drink" special. They offer 3 different shot options and espolon tequila is one of them. A freaking steal! Not only do we love the drink special, but the bartenders are soooo nice, another reason we keep coming back. Oh! and our dogs can come here with us. Love that. I've also dabbled into a few food items. They have solid buffalo wings. SF Trivia hosts free bingo on Monday nights. Trivia nights are on Tuesdays. Def check them out if you like an easy goin bar.

Loved the laid back, casual atmosphere with retro quirky "fly" posters/decor on the walls. Lots of seating available on a Sunday evening, a single pool table inside, friendly helpful service, and the strong cocktails. Of course we came here hungry, and the funky chicken pizza and buffalo wings did not disappoint. Cheesy, flavorful slices with a sweet bbq sauce and a nice balance of toppings (we even added prosciutto to the pizza). It was yummy! The wings had just the right amount of spice, and came with fresh and crispy celery and carrot sticks that I wanted to take home to my bunnies for easter, but we were so hungry, we ate those too! :D

Casual bar in Nopa. Vibes are chill and laid back. Didn't have a chance to try the food but the beer was good. Service was prompt and friendly. There's seating both inside and outside and they have a few TVs playing sports ball games. I'd recommend if you're looking for a chill bar to hang out at and grab a drink

I loved the drinks, I was so lucky to fit myself in last minute. Daniel was so clutch, their service is phenomenal. The plus is the music is exactly what I needed on a night like this! Thank you for everything!!!!

I had seen this place hosting Monday night Bingo and wanted to check it out. I wish the signage was a little more apparent, since I couldn't tell if I was in the right place or if they were even having Bingo. It's hosted by SFTrivia, and isn't the flashiest but a fun weeknight activity. They have multiple rounds and prizes including fun drinks and some giveaways. We got the Austin Mule and Act Right (sangria). I loved the mule and it had the perfect kick and was definitely strong enough. They have a selection of pizzas and appetizers. We didn't end up getting any of the food, but it also didn't look or smell all that appealing. I might come back for Bingo night, but not just for the food or drinks.

My husband and I had an awful experience at this place. We came in with a few friends. A random man made a few weird comments to us including telling us to stay awake. We were a bit confused by the comment and then he transitioned behind the bar and became the bartender. We tried to ask follow up questions on what he meant, but he was adamant I was sleeping at the table. When my husband question this, the man at the bar said: get your bitch of a wife out of my face. The bouncer/ doorman then defended the man that used the slur and we left. Nobody ever came outside to speak with us or discuss what happened. We were there for less than 30 mins. Our entire group left because we felt so uncomfortable.

I remember the day Kobe Bryant died. I was in my feels, so I went for a walk. I walked by fly bar, and something felt right so I walked in. The staff was very inviting. I had a nice amber ale and a pizza which was good, filling the gap that the mamba had left in my heart. RIP Mamba, Long Live Fly Bar

Fly Bar had a decent food selection in addition to drinks and cocktails. They had a lot of outdoor seating too that was dog friendly. There were a a couple options for pizza and I loved the veggie one, and it was pretty affordable for the portion size. We also ordered wings and a salad which I thought were ok. Overall thought this was a nice bar with good outdoor seating and food!

Stumbled into this bar after seeing a show at The Independent, greeted by a pair of very friendly bar tenders and immediately felt at home. There's a ton of cool artwork on the walls and the vibe is very casual. Wish I could pull some details from my fuzzy memory, but I'm sure we had a great time. Beer was cold, I'm sure of that.

I went to this place for bingo night and it was hosted by SF trivia. The bar was interesting and had plenty of spots to sit. There was a pool table and several TVs to watch the game.It had a good balance of activities and bar which would allow for a wide variety of night outs at this bar All the meanwhile I got two custom cocktails which were the Austin Mule and Act Right. Both were pretty great drinks and were relatively strong. The Act Right was a sangria cocktail which was a good mix. However they were slightly pricey for the quantity. The bartenders were friendly and got our drinks in a quick amount of time. Overall, I'd say this is just another bar in town. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I came here to try the pizzas and boy they are pretty good at an even better price during their happy hour. Happy hour pizzas are $3 off. I got the meat lover's pizza at $13. It was really big and I had leftovers. The crust is different. This pizza is worth the try and worth coming back for!

We came for the trivia night on Tuesdays at 7:30pm. Be warned - it's ridiculously hard trivia. This is not just trivia you can cheat and google on your phone either. Mixed with a couple of drinks, our group got 12th place. But, the drinks are decently priced and we had a great time! We had sake bombs, sangria and a few mixed drinks and the tab was surprisingly low. Heavy pours and fun times overall! They also now have bingo nights on Monday, which requires no obscure knowledge and sounds more down my alley. But, if you know random facts about comedians from the 50s, then make sure to reserve a spot over on their Instagram page (it sells out always!)

The service and hospitality we received at this bar was impeccable, not only did the drinks and food come out fast. The service from our bartender, daniel, was excellent and attentive. We will definitely be coming back just for Daniel's amazing service and care!

Great little place on Divis! It's unclear online, but they have a significantly reduced food and drink menu (still good options though). There is also awesome seating outside - there are 2-person tables along the side of the restaurant as well as bigger tables in the covered seating area on the street. I got the Funky Chicken Pizza as well as the Sangria. Both were delicious! I recommend this place for a casual dinner or drink. Staff was great too.

I've been going to fly bar for years but haven't visited in awhile. Recently stopped by to meet some friends for happy hour. While the food was great (discounted pizza for the win) and drinks weren't bad, the service was horrible. I felt like I was a bother and annoyance to the bartender when all I was doing was asking questions and ordering. I'm guessing it's more of a regular spot and forget about newbies. Oh well. I'd there is nowhere else to go I'd come back but they def didn't win us over.

The Fly Bar is a great local bar with a pub feel that is great for a casual drink out, week-day trivia night, or impromptu drinks with friends or on a date. This is worth the check-out if you find yourself on Divisadero! This is a great stop for some bar-food and a sports game, or a game of pool!

Came here for brunch with two friends and we ordered the breakfast pizza, hash, and sandwich. Food: 3.5/5 stars. Hash was filling, but pretty salty and a tad overcooked. Service: 3/5 stars. Slow. There was only one girl waiting tables and she seemed pretty overwhelmed even though the place wasn't that packed when we went - most customers were at the bar. Hopefully they have more servers on staff during busier hours. Ambiance: 3.5/5. Tables are old, lack of windows in the room. Art pieces on the walls make for a good conversation starter though. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if some of my friends really wanted to try it I'd still tag along

Very friendly bartender. Decent beers on tap. Food was good - great salads and chicken nachos. Buffalo wings were good too. Portions were big. Decent TVs to watch games. Lots of dogs too :)

One of my favorite hangs in NOPA. Their pizza is killer, and it looks like live music is on the way. I don't spend a lot of time in Fly's neighborhood anymore, but when I do, I stop in.

Great local spot. Friendly staff, good cocktails, and solid bar food. Lots of TVs for sports. Pool table is always free and was recently re-felted. Always a good time.

Situation - I've been to Fly bar many times, at all times of the day - Recently, I've been coming for their brunch Pros - They have a great beer selection - You can pay by credit card - The food is pretty darn good, for both happy hour and brunch. The quesadillas are my go to, even for brunch as they have a breakfast quesadilla. - There's a pool table in the back Cons - Only one bathroom for everyone

Bought a brunch special from GroupOn for $45 total (for 2 people) on a Sunday which included unlimited mimosas for 2 and 2 brunch plates from the menu! Thought it was a really great deal. Food wasn't anything out of this world, but it definitely hit the spot. The mimosas were good - tasted like a 50:50 mix of champagne and orange juice. My partner had the hash, which was great and I had a breakfast that had 2 eggs, bacon, and toast - which both were good and seasoned well. The bar itself isn't too big, only saw 2 TVs (not many for a 'sports bar'). But there is a pool table in the back. We went around 12:30PM on a Sunday in Nov and there weren't many people (no wait) when we first got there, but definitely filled in a bit more around 1PM. Also, the service was attentive + super nice. I'm not sure if I would run back to this place, but definitely worth it for a chill vibe and good brunch special... $45 for two people in SF - hard to beat. Thanks, Fly.

2.5 STARS My group of three was looking for a place to drink. Since we parked right by Fly, we decided to check out this location. We got here on Saturday, July 29th around 5:45pm. It wasn't very busy, so we easily grabbed a table across from the bar. *Sauvignon Blanc: dry creek - sonoma ($8) *Pinot Grigio: scarbolo - italy ($9) *Chips & Dip: tortilla chips with house-made guacamole & salsa ($6) Only two of us were drinking, so the other ordered food. I got the sauvignon blanc which I thought was okay. My gf hated her glass of pinot grigio. I didn't like it either when I tried it, but because I can't waste alcohol, I ended up finishing it. I don't remember trying the chips and dips, but they looked pretty standard. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. I used to come here all the time over a decade ago as one of my coworkers loved the happy hour here. I remember their pizzas being good and a great deal. To bad this last visit was a little disappointing.

I always have a good time at fly bar until I have to go to the bar and order a drink. The gal this evening on a Friday night was very kind and lovely. But the man working behind the bar has never been kind to me or any of the people I brought with me. This is my third or fourth time coming to fly bar and dealing with this particular bartender. So before I left I asked the female bartender for my bill. She goes behind the bar and print out the receipt and starts waving it in the air. I thought that was my cue to grab it. I very quietly walked behind the bar and grabbed it. When she saw that it was me she looks surprised. The other bartender came over and started aggressively telling me to leave the back of the bar. When I explained my side of the story he was nothing but rude and again aggressive and did not understand whatsoever. I'm sick and tired of dealing with the bartenders bad conduct and just being downright RUDE! I also live on Fulton Street. So this is a real shame. Also I should mention, that word on the street is that fly sucks because of their customer service. So as you still have many customers on the weekends you could probably have more...

I'd have to say I am glad Fly Bar has been around for long as it has, even through the pandemic. Last time I was there, the hardest alcohol they had were soju along with soju based cocktails, but now they have a full bar! The food menu is simple, but pretty much has everything that would please anyone with particular diets. For a casual time that is not pretentious, this joint is for you.

This is a place I love to go to whenever I'm in San Francisco. Especially when I stay at Metro Hotel. It's conveniently close by. I like coming here more in the afternoon than at night. Because they can get pretty busy at night. They have a nice beer tap list. Their pizzas are really good. Pizzas are enough for two people. But my friend and I always get our own. Friendly service. Just a cool place to hang out.

More bready. Got rid of the best pizza--greek i believe. Happy hour feels like just like eating tons of bread. Another Covid -warrior excuse downfall. If you maintain pre-Covid quality-- people will actually buy two times as much don't forget that FLY Bar--Three stars for the service---2 stars lost for all the bread bread bread, so insulting! Sangria still good! People that use Meyers lavender hand soap will love this place!

My boyfriend and I came here for Brunch and Bottomless Mimosas on Super Bowl Sunday using a Groupon. The brunch wasn't bad! The Groupon gave 2 items, so we got the "Birdnest Pizza", which was a breakfast pizza with eggs and potatoes on top, and the Chilequiles. They were a good quantity and we could eat only 3/4. The mimosas were fine - I could tell they were using a cheaper champagne, but who cares. It's very much a bar type setting, not the most sophisticated ambiance, but great for game day. They had a few TVs and a great beer menu. Would return!

Just stopped by for a quick drink and a bite. Had a refreshing Sangria, huge tender perfectly flavored chicken wings, and a delicious spinach artichoke dip with pita bread. Nice neighborhood vibe with friendly attentive service. And all at a reasonable price. Will definitely be back.

First patronage of the decade and met with the friendliest of service. We weren't here long on New Year's Day while we waited for our table to open up at Brenda's but still managed to sneak in a bottle of bubbly for some celebratory cheers. It's got a homely neighborhood vibe and it wasn't crowded. The bartender was so lovely with her infallibly positive energy and made sure we were well taken care of. Didn't have food but it seems like most folks were having pizzas. Great drafts on tap. Not often in the neighborhood but I'll come back for a pint if so.

I've been to Fly Bar once. It's a cute place with a lil pool table and lots of #locals. What really stood out to me and the reason I'm writing this review is because of the lovely bouncer I met -- Lucky !! Lucky was truly lucky. When I arrived at Fly Bar, I struggled to get my ID out of my purse, not because I was too drunk but because I decided I should bring a notebook in case I had any noteworthy thoughts. Tragically, the notebook made it so my purse couldn't open. I was worried that it was going to be stuck like that forever, but Lucky snapped his magical fingers and he FIXED IT!!! Later in the night when I left the bar because I discovered there was a caterpillar on my pants and I had to return it to a home of its choosing, Lucky listened to my entire tale and told me I was a kind caterpillar mom. I think he should be promoted to CEO.

Local neighborhood gem. Recently visited after too many years away and was not disappointed. Great outdoor covered seating too. Bartender was delightful and who knew, she's my neighbor. Cool people hanging out @ the bar too. A place I would feel very comfortable going to by myself. Good selection of beers @ reasonable prices. Met 3 friends there, 2 who chose not to eat, but 2 of us did and too bad for them. Let's see, we had the Nacho's, which weren't as good as I remembered and here's why. Yes, they were very plentiful and only a wee bit warm. What was the greatest turn off was ALL THE TOPPINGS were piled high in the middle and on top of the chips. So when you dug in, all you got was naked chips. It wasn't even the least bit appetizing. May not get those in the future. We did have a pizza - Carmel Blue which was quite tasty, good combo of ingredients and well spread out over the entire pizza. Crust was not great and paper thin, but, I would get this again. Good selection of items on the menu, many I would like to try in the future. Such as the Quesadilla that looks FAB in the photos Keep supporting your local restaurants and bars, we need them.

Only come here when I get the groupon. That deal is the way to go if you want bottomless mimosas. You have a select menu with that but the pizza is really good. Not your typical pizza but its a hitter for sure. One time the lady was super slow at pouring and that pissed me off, and another time a dude was standing on the bar with his shoes trying to fix the sound system. Besides that it has been chill. A lot of regulars and a good spot for low key Sunday football.

Fly Bar is an unassuming locals bar where it's straight chill time with beer and maybe a pizza. No real fancy bells/whistles--just a place to relax with a brew and/or food. Divisadero is a great area to hang in SF and definitely underrated, I think. Are you killing time and just want to hang somewhere in this area? Check out the Fly Bar.

Came here for a bottomless brunch with a groupon we bought. The brunch menu had a handful of items that were pretty unique including pizza (which I got). It was actually an awesome spin on a breakfast pizza and a very large portion. The mimosas were mediocre at best. Likely they used the cheapest possible champagne. It was just kind of dead in there which didn't contribute to good vibes.

Just one of THOSE days (that a girl goes through)... Yesterday happened to be one of THOSE days where everything compounded to the point I resorted to something I rarely do; use FB as a venting mechanism only to look like a total attention whore. BAD IDEA. People, this is why health insurance covers "mental health". USE IT. Perturbed over something that went awry, I was up all night tossing and turning all night only to then oversleep. The endorphins from my morning cardio session was temporary as I got into an argument with my melodramatic friend over something very arbitrary. This followed with finding duplicate charges on my debit card only for Wells Fargo to cancel my account without my consent. Leaving work early so I can get a temporary card, I found out upon arrival Wells Fargo were out of cards and going forward I will be charged $15/month for my account because I don't have a home mortgage tied to it (WTF?). Geez, can this day BE over already? My anticipation for dinner with my girls at Bar Crudo only turned into disappointment as we left $60 poorer, hungry, and offended by the service we received there. Really low key spot for Happy hour - so worth it! My BFF and I decided to come after reading some great reviews, and walked in to a very quiet ambiance. But to my surprise, I really liked it, because I can actually hear our entire conversation, didn't need to yell, and didn't need to fight anyone for the waiters attention. We decided to get a half pitcher of Sangria ($14), which was about 2 1/2 tall glasses for each of us, which was plenty and gave us a fun buzz! We also ordered the Blanco pizza to share - the white garlic & dried tomatoes were delicious. Would definitely come back!
