Where to eat and drink at Las Vegas Ballpark, home of the Aviators | Eater Vegas

"A chef-driven hot-dog and sausage concept appears at three concourse locations with inventive takes like the Heater (a hot link with Calabrian chili relish, Kewpie mayo, spicy mustard and parmesan on a potato bun), the Hercules (a bacon-wrapped foot-long topped with dry-aged beef chili, pickled mustard seed and sweet onion jam), the Jetsetter (Snake River Farms wagyu with banh mi–style pickles and cilantro mayo) and the Chicago Smokehouse (smoked cheddar brat with neon relish, peppers and tomato on a poppy bun); stands are located by sections 103 and 112 and behind centerfield." - Susan Stapleton

Google
I wouldn’t consider myself a “yoga person,” but I LOVE FlyDog. I’m a runner, and the best way I’ve found to stay injury-free is consistent yoga. Their heated rooms are perfect, not so hot that I feel nauseous, but warm enough to get a really deep, satisfying stretch. FlyDog is a great place for true yogis and for people who are just starting to explore yoga. Highly recommend!!

After many years “off” yoga, Flydog has provided a welcoming re-entry to my yoga practice. I have yet to experience a below-average instructor, and the studio vibes are always positive. I love the intensity available in the power classes equally as much as I love the gentler classes. My body and mind are starting to crave flydog!

We had the best time with Eliza! She led a private party yoga session for our bachelorette party. She was so easy to talk to, very communicative & flexible. She wanted to personalize our experience to make it special for us. I highly recommend her!

Google
I am new to yoga but always look forward to classes at FlyDog! The power classes are challenging but also fun and meditative. Eliza and all the other instructors do a great job at creating a welcoming and inclusive community and are always willing to help or provide tips if you ask! Overall, I have really enjoyed my time here and find a way to work a class or two into my schedule each week!

We had the best session with Eliza for my bachelorette trip!! She was amazing and it was so fun incorporating group and partner poses! We all had the best time and can't thank you enough!

Flydog is my favorite yoga studio I've ever been to. And I've been to lots, and used to teach a bit myself. I've been going off and on for close to 10 years. Mostly in the winter. I only take heated (if you're into something more chill) and power (if you're in for a challenge) vinyasa, and I've never had a mediocre instructor. Not pretentious, no annoying "woo". Just a great centering cleanse for the mind and body. Nice facilities, clean, showers & towels available, easy parking. I only wish I had more time to be a regular all year.

Judith

Google
I highly recommend all of Eliza's power Vinyasa classes. The room is heated and the flow is challenging so get ready to sweat! If you have trouble with a pose she will assist you unless you say otherwise. Its ok to sit out on any poses that are too hard but there are not too many super advanced poses in the all levels classes. I have also booked several private sessions with Eliza to help improve my form. Pricing is fair for what you get. They also have affordable mat and towel rentals if you forget to bring your own. Barre/mix is a great option if you don't have a mat or want to rent one. Their class schedule is predictable and easy to fit in at least one weekly class if you have a full time job.

Yelp
I was visiting Charlottesville and needed a yoga home for the next few nights. I came across this fabulous studio and was very in awe with the instructors and the community. The space was very lovely, spacious and convenient parking wise. All the teachers and students were friendly. During classes I appreciated each teacher as they all have their own personality and provided a safe place to really re-ground. My last class was the candlelight on Thursday and instantly after class I thought, I'm really going to miss this studio. I hope to visit again when I'm in town. Super clean and cozy. Thank you Caroline, Kira, Megan and Stephanie for providing such great space and flow!

Yelp
I really enjoyed the 30 day into to FlyDog Yoga. I enjoyed taking aerial level 1 on Saturdays, as well as the Yin and Barre classes. As a beginner yogi, I am always wanting feedback on my form, and I appreciated that the instructors would stay after and answer any questions I had and also give me additional feedback. However, my latest experience after the 30 day trial wasn't the best, and I don't think I'll be returning. I attended my first aerial level 2 class, and I felt like a burden the entire time. It appeared that everyone was already well bonded--which was fine, but there wasn't much explanation behind any of the poses, and it was expected that I know poses that were completely foreign coming from level one. This was really discouraging, and I know I have a lot of room for growth in my practice, but I'd rather do it in a space where I feel comfortable with where I am in my practice.

Yelp
Flydog is the best! The staff is so welcoming and non-judgemental. Theyre knowledgeable and make the classes so much fun! The place is reasonably priced and the community is just so positive. I am so impressed with FlyDog. I usually never stick with these "introductory deals", but I will certainly be joining the FD community when my offer is up!

Yelp
Fly Dog rules! After being a Core Power member in California for about 10 years, I moved to Charlottesville in 2016 and nervously began looking for a new studio. My first class at Fly Dog sold me! The power classes are hot, challenging, inspirational, and fun. I love the music and the cushioned floors which make daily practices much easier on my body. The studio also has a nice variety of classes from aerial to yin to barre and sculpt. All are excellent, but power classes are hands down my favorite-- and now when I go back to Core Power on visits, I am a Fly Dog snob and miss the rigor and relaxation of my Fly Dog classes!

Yelp
Visiting from out of town, needing some yoga, and at 5:30pm I saw a 6pm heated Vinyasa class on the calendar I wanted to try. I'm so happy I went with it and highly recommend this studio. Everyone was welcoming (from the front desk to the instructor) and exhibited so much patience when the card reader wasn't working as expected; I appreciated that they offered a free mat/towel rental for first-timers and that the studio and locker room were clean and organized. Women's locker room may be a bit crowded before and after a full class. The class itself was encouraging and engaging and the live-streaming didn't interrupt practice, in my opinion (we were off camera and the instructor still walked around to guide us in the studio). Thank you FlyDog!!

Yelp
I went to FlyDog yesterday for the first time and loved it! The studio is brand new and there is so much space compared to the downtown studios I've been too. Plus there is ample parking at the studio, again something you don't get downtown. The locker room was very much appreciated so I could actually be seen in public after sweating so much. I went to a heated vinyasa class with Patrick and really enjoyed the flow. I want a class with a challenge, that makes me sweat but also lets my mind wander some. That is exactly what I got and I can't wait for another!

Yelp
This place is purely magical! I could not appreciate the awesome team at FlyDog more! I have taken classes with five of their instructors in the last 30 days and they are all magical in their own special ways. Thank you does not "cut it!" Run do not walk to FlyDog!

Yelp
Awesome private session! I hosted my sister's bachelorette in Charlottesville for 18 women and wanted to make sure we had some fun activities planned. FlyDog was very flexible with the time of the off-site session and our instructor Jennifer was lovely. Even though we had requested a sweaty work out (ambitious for an 8am on Saturday), Jennifer adjusted it to be restorative for the group. The group had a ton of fun and she provided us with some recommendations for where to go and how to get around efficiently.

Yelp
I've had one class so far after purchasing the new student special. I loved the environment, the attitude and encouragement from the teacher- really excited to go back and try more classes!

Yelp
Flydog is the BEST yoga studio in Charlottesville! Eliza and Brad (the owners) are some of the nicest, warmest, friendly people. I had been searching for a studio in cville for a year that felt "right". from my first class I knew fly dog was it. The studio feels like home. The instructors are awesome! Definitely check out: Eliza, Patrick, Mary Ann, and Carly's classes they are awesome! The 6 am with Anne is also an awesome way to start your day.

Yelp
I love this studio. I started with them when they were up at Stonefield and there were maybe four people in a given class at the time. The instructors are fantastic and Eliza is my favorite for a certain energy she brings. Maryanne is another favorite. Very empowering and aerobic. My only caveat is that some classes get so full that you feel like a sardine. I try to only take up one rectangle for my mat, but it sometimes feels like I can't even get that. I realize that every person is $12, but when I book in advance and show up early it would be nice if I could avoid getting kicked in the face. Also, can we find a challenge other than crow pose? I don't understand the obsession with this bird.

Yelp
Awesome yoga studio! I went to a military veterans class they provided -mix of men and women, and it turned out the owner joined us in the studio too! He was so nice to us when we first showed up at the front desk, and even explained how he created this class specifically for veterans b/c he wants to help those in need of focusing, relaxing, and so they can speak with others if needed. And since it's closed off to only veterans, and majority are males, it's not awkward or embarrassing when a man shows up with no prior yoga experience at all. The instructor assisted the students who needed help without calling them out, and showed modifications for harder positions. The locker rooms are clean and spacious, and they had mats for those who didn't bring any.

Yelp
Great yoga studio. Prices are very reasonable. They have a great start up package for new clients for 30 days. You can sign up for classes online and it's very convenient. classes start and end on time. Staff are very friendly. Most importantly, they don't call you out in the middle of work outs.

Yelp
Such an awesome experience! FlyDog's instructor, Jess, led a private power yoga class for my girlfriends and I for my bachelorette party. It was an awesome class. Jess catered to all of us with varying levels of yoga experience. The newbies felt very comfortable and learned some new poses, and those of us that practice frequently were still able to be challenged. The company was great to work with to set up the private event and even brought yoga mats for us to use. Would definitely recommend FlyDog yoga!!

Yelp
The studio offers variety that is hard to beat. There are Power classes for your more energetic days, Yin classes for days when you need to unwind. Likewise, there are uptempo teachers who give you a burst of energy and quieter, peaceful teachers (Ingrid and Shannon M. are favorites) for a more introspective practice. Nearly every day, no matter my mood, there is a a class that suits my needs.

Yelp
As a beginner, I was a little concerned I would feel totally out of place (especially since the classes here are "all levels" - i.e., there are no specifically beginner classes), but that couldn't be further from true! Both the instructors and other students in the class were warm, welcoming, and the classes really are accessible for all levels. The prices are also really reasonable, and since the introductory month is only $30, there really isn't anything to lose. I'm happy to have found a place that will allow me to incorporate yoga regularly into my workout routine!

Yelp
My first experience at this studio was unlike any yoga experience I've had. The class felt more like a workout than a yoga session. I was prepared for the heat, but the instructor just sort of "yelled" out the poses. Don't get me wrong - she pumped us up, but it was not a typical yoga experience for me. Luckily the heat pulled me in and I went back. I've since had different instructors who were more "yoga-like" (meaning, we said "ohm" at the end, took a real Savasana, started in cat/cow, etc.). I'm definitely a fan, and would recommend this place for a great work out. I just give a small caveat that it's just that - a workout, not necessarily a deep yoga experience. But if you're good with that, then I highly recommend! (And give multiple instructors a chance!)

Yelp
I recently went to a class back in November. It was okay, but the instructor mentioned politics quite a few times during the class. If I'm paying for a yoga class, I don't want to be disrupted by outside elements. My feedback is that I don't want to feel like Im on Facebook during a class-it was quite off-putting.

Yelp
This is my favorite studio in town! The instructors not only teach rigorous classes that get your heart rate up, but they also take the time the break down fundamental yoga poses and enhance your yoga practice. Their intro offer of 30 days for $30 got me in the door, along with the diversity of classes offered, and I will never look back!

Yelp
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi/yogini, you have to try FlyDog. The atmosphere has only great vibes, the teachers are wonderful, and the owners (Brad and Eliza) are extremely accommodating. They'll go to great lengths to make sure you can practice when/however is most convenient for you! Overall awesome studio.

Yelp
I just moved to Charlottesville and I decided to try FlyDog Yoga for the first time. The website said to arrive early for your first class, in order to register, setup your mat and have time to relax before class. This seems reasonable as most studios suggest this. I arrived 20 minutes early since it's a holiday weekend and I figured they'd be busy. The door was locked, I guess they don't let anyone in until 15 minutes prior, which I wish I would have known. After the previous class let out, they opened the doors and a few people, including myself went in. There was no one at the front desk, and I had to wait around with two other yogis. While waiting I saw at least 3 people go behind the front desk to get something. They were all people who work there, but were not working at that time? None of those people made eye contact with me, even though I was clearly waiting to be helped. Also, none of them volunteered to get the person who was supposed to be working the front desk. They just ignored me, and I continued to wait. Finally at 5 minutes before class, someone came to the front and asked "Is there something you need?" The front desk person didn't welcome me, or ask me what brought me to the studio. They never ever asked me if I had done yoga before. They didn't offer any information about the studio or offer to give me a tour. I felt like they didn't care that I was there or if I come back, even though I was interested in the Intro Package. The class was okay. The instructor was nice. The bad feeling at the beginning of my experience over shadowed the yoga class. In all fairness, I will give it another shot. I hope my second experience is much better. I would give them one star, but since the instructor was polite, I'm being nice and giving them two stars.

Yelp
love everything - the classes are challenging but balanced, the instructors are positive, the studio is clean, the class variety is great!

Yelp
This is the worst Yoga Studio I have ever been to in my life. The instructors do not know what they are doing and the studios are closets. After my 3rd attempt at trying this yoga (if you want to call it that) I walked out of the class because the instructor didn't know what to do.

Kofi D.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The teachers really know how to help you push to levels that you didn't think were possible. They have a great deal to get you started, $30 for 30 days. Be careful, once you try this place you'll be hooked! The owners are so personable and down to earth and the staff follows in that vein. I will definitely be re-upping once my trial period is up. This place feels like what yoga was created to be.

Claire R.

Yelp
Love FlyDog! Their 30 day intro special is the best yoga deal in Cville--pretty sure I've tried every single class they offered. It's an especially great studio if you want yoga with a Pilates/cardio edge, though their yin classes are very relaxing. I also tried aerial here (despite being really nervous about it) and found the instructor and owner really helpful and informative. Eliza is a rock star, and her classes are really inspirational (and totally kick my butt, in a good way). Eliza's husband (often at the front desk and in classes) is very kind and helpful. Margaret is an amazing teacher--I've practiced yoga here and in NYC for years, and I still learn something new in every class with her.

Karl Q.

Yelp
I'm relatively new to Yoga, but am delighted to have picked FlyDog as a place to learn and practice. The location is convenient, the hours match up with my schedule, and the instructors are just what I was looking for. You'll find a welcoming environment with challenging (but accessible to novices like myself) sessions.

Michael S.

Yelp
Went to class taught by Patrick. Excellent class with cool music. It's a really nice facility with showers!
