"Flying Saucer Draught Emporium just threw open the doors to its new location in The Sound at Cypress Waters, the uber popular new waterfront destination on the border of Coppell and Irving. Since 1995, the Flying Saucer has been one of Dallas’s favorite haunts for a broad array of craft and unique brews. This new location comes with a new food menu too including salads, rice bowls, and pressed sandwiches like the Andy Cubano Garcia with slow-cooked pork, yellow mustard, black garlic aioli, and pickles on Cuban bread. Drinkers will be delighted to know that the Saucer’s 40 taps can be taken to go in the bar’s growler and crowlers — another first for the company." - Alaena Hostetter

Great atmosphere on the patio! I had the honey dipped fried chicken with mashed potatoes. Had an ESB to drink. Spouse had the Carne Asada fries appetizer and it was my favorite between our two dishes. She also had a comforably numb cocktail.

Fun place with a great happy hour. $5 brews until 6 Monday through Friday. They had several yummy sours on tap. So many choices means we’ll have to come back. The giant pretzels are great to snack on while you chill. The charcuterie board was nice. I liked that they had fruits.

During my visit to the Flying Sauce in Coppell, TX, I was treated to an extraordinary dining experience. The mini charcuterie board was a delightful start, with a perfect selection of cheeses, cured meats, and accompaniments that balanced flavors and textures wonderfully. The chicken bowl was equally impressive, boasting tender, flavorful chicken with fresh, vibrant ingredients that made every bite satisfying. However, what truly made the visit memorable was the restaurant's unique UFO saucer decorations. The whimsical, out-of-this-world theme added a fun and unexpected twist to the atmosphere, making the experience not just about the food but also the ambiance. The playful decor elevates the dining experience, creating a unique and enjoyable vibe. If you're looking for great food in a one-of-a-kind setting, Flying Sauce is worth a visit.

Love this place! They always have a great selection of all types of beers/ciders/etc. The food is always great too, I’ve never had anything bad from their menu! I love bringing people here since the vibes are always so great, and there’s literally something for everyone. Plus, the area is nice to walk around, and the small selection of board games are always fun. Bartenders are super nice, and can help you find your perfect drink (with occasional tasters!) Prices are very reasonable for food and drink alike.

Google
GREAT place with not only a bunch of great beers, but good food! Try the Mojo wings! Why is my beer empty? Because it was so good! Knowledgable staff help you select if you're not sure which to pick from a HUGE selection of beers!

Google
There are lots of draught beer options. Food options are limited. But this is more of a bar and bar food like place. In healthy option cob salad and bowl are 2 options. Rest all is fry item.

Google
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the various local brews they carry. I am not a beer drinker, never like the bitter aftertaste, but I was surprised the lady at the counter found a drink that I enjoyed. Peach cider. Also liked the local brew sampler - each drink is paired with different girl scout cookies to compliment the flavor of each drink. Food was good was well. There is an area to pick up games pieces to take to your table to play checkers things to do outside as well.

Nice corner Restaurant near D18 in the Dallas Airport. We had the Texas BLT, which turned out to be great and filling. And my husband had the Turkey Club sandwich. They have lots of beer on tap and the service was super quick! There is an upstairs to the restaurant as well! Great food and service, nice and relaxing!

Yelp
Location Just off olympus Parking Large lot nearby with ev charging stations, street parking Atmosphere Sports bar-.lots of tv's Seating Low tables and outside Service Excellent!! Menu Best beer menu ever! Ciders, ales, ipa's, seltzers. Love it! Summary When our friends want to drink beer-this is the place! Great location, parking, outstanding service! Check it out!

Mr. H.

Yelp
This place knows their beer! When my belly is hungry for an IPA they never disappoint with their options. Not as many taps as other Flying Saucers but they rotate them effectively. Walk up to the bar to order food or drink, which I like but it looks like they are starting table service when the place is busier. The Bavarian pretzel is always soft and fresh. I love the mustard to dip it in too. Great fries, burgers, bowls and salads and the carne asada fries are great to share. Cool patio and live music on The Sound's stage. Always a good time at the Cypress Waters Saucer!

Yelp
In town for a business trip and decided to try this restaurant as it's just steps from our office. The associate taking our order was extremely nice and helped recommend a few items. I ended up ordering the Space Club sandwich with Sweet Potato fries both were very tasty! Everyone liked all of the different items they ordered. The decor inside is very nice with lots of nostalgic decor and there is definitely a calm environment here during lunch time. Very happy with our choice, would come here again next time I'm in town!

Nick G.

Yelp
Always very friendly and welcoming staff. Taps are rotated constantly and the staff is very diligent to pick up glasses and promptly clean tables. The staff will make you a taster of any beer you want to try and their food is all amazing! The carne asada fries and chicken wings are some of the best I've ever had! The soft pretzels are great also.

Angie H.

Yelp
The staff was friendly, but the young man at the counter wasn't very knowledgeable about the beer selections. Ordered a pretzel with queso. The pretzel had no flavor and very little salt. The queso was runny and not that tasty. They seem to have very little variety when it comes to beer. I can't say I would go to this location again.

Yelp
I have been here a few times, and definitely enjoy this place. Atmosphere - 5/5 - Located at Cypress Waters, this area is GREAT. most restaurants are close to the lake. This is a great place to be outdoors. Flying saucer has both an inside and outside seating area. Bring your pup! Staff - 5/5 - Friendly and knowledgeable. They have ALOT of beers, so if you are unsure, ask away. What to order: They have a HUGE selection of beers. Again, ask the staff if you need a sample, or a suggestion. I can tell you what I have had and ordered over the few times that I have been there. Velvet Hammer - Strong beer. 9%. Hoppy. For beer newbies, Hoppy = Bitter. Fireman #4 - Blond Ale. Not too hoppy. Tupps Winter Lager - Smooth lightish beer. Bourbon Barrel Quad - One of my favorite. High ABV. ABV = %. I love high point beers. Maredsous Tripel - 8%. One of my most favorite beers of all time. Very smooth aftertaste Devils Backbone - 8% - Smooth. Not too hoppy. I also did order the pretzel. It is HUGE ($12.50), but nothing special. It is big, but hard to justify a pretzel for that price. Overall, I really enjoy this place, and will be back again!

Nathan Z.

Yelp
Laid back pub atmosphere that is great for meetups or a drink after work. Service was at the counter which is always easy. You can keep the tab open though. The staff had good recommendations based on my tastes. The food was good. Crispy things were crispy (grilled sandwich) and cold things were cold (salad).

Lorri D.

Yelp
For being in the airport, this place was quite the surprise. The service was fantastic. The beer selection was extensive and the fries we had were delicious. The only reason for four not five stars is because of the lack of air conditioning and airflow on the second floor where we were... It was 80+ degrees so not very comfortable and there were no fans to move the air either .

Kim N.

Yelp
Bad customer service experience. Stopped into for the first time for a drink. Asked a simple question about whether a previous employee still worked there or not and was given a very rude response from Jess. Not sure if she was having a bad day or what but felt a horrible impression on someone who frequents Flying Saucers. Hoping she's not always a front of the house person because she definitely makes you feel uncomfortable.

Jamie T.

Yelp
Had the wheat wine recently! Was very delicious! I wish they still had the Japanese lager though : ( so make sure to try the ones you want to try before leaving!

Thuy N.

Yelp
Flying Saucer in Dallas is a fantastic spot for happy hour! The drinks and food are always great, and I have so many happy memories here. The location by the lovely lake adds to its charm, making it a perfect place to unwind in a fancy area. Highly recommend! Friendly staff

Dan R.

Yelp
Another Flying Saucer checked off the list, as I try to hit every one I come across. The charcuterie pretzel and a flight for each of us made a very nice way to close out a night.

Tori B.

Yelp
Looks like there are several locations for this one, but I am reviewing the one in DFW. I had a very long layover and was delighted to find this fantastical place right outside my gate area. Table service was wonderful. The beer selection was phenomenal. I have the Duke burger and it was excellent! I also recommend the community mosaic if you like mosaic hops. Highly recommend it!! I would definitely say this is one of the best people watching locations in the airport

Matt P.

Yelp
Don't let my UFO-obsessed nephew fool you, this is not an alien-themed restaurant. Much to his disappointment. But I'll say it before and I'll say it again, the DFW area comes growing and expanding every year I visit. And the North Lake area is no exception. We swung by for after-church drinks one evening, and it was a nice and chill atmosphere all around.

Howlishia E.

Yelp
My first time going to this restaurant. I must say it was very tasty. The service was quick and the ambiance was very nice. I will be going back in the future.

Dalia D.

Yelp
Best bar food I could find. Another great time! Also the EastSiders Cider is worth a taste if you're not into sours or ales LOL

Kelly V.

Yelp
Great place to stop in for a few local brews. Staff was helpful and friendly and seating was plentiful. We didn't eat but the food looked great.

Kelsey F.

Yelp
We came here for a cozy winter Saturday night. We came inside because the vibes were perfect. The crowd was low, the music was nice, the service was good. After getting our beers, I went to freshen my lipstick in the women's room and found the most inconvenient lighting I've ever seen in a bathroom. There is a single spotlight above each sink, and it shines on the top of your hands as you wash them. If you move your face closer to the mirror to see your makeup, you're in total darkness. If you stand back to try to get light, all you get is light on your scalp. You have to shine your phone flashlight on your lips to do your makeup. When I got back to the table and settled in with my beer, the song finished and the football game noise (which was previously on mute) came BLASTING over the speakers. Vibes immediately killed. Nobody in here is even watching this game, as you can see from the videos. And the volume is about as loud as you'd get at a concert. What was previously a cozy neighborhood vibe has now turned into the most obnoxious sports bar ever. They're not even muting it for commercials. Currently sitting here listening to the Burger King jingle at the loudest volume I've ever heard it. Then we switched to a Zoom video call commercial where the only sound was the guy yelling ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM at you for 30 seconds. As soon as I finish my beer, we are leaving. Never coming back here. I don't trust them with the ambiance anymore.

Jake Y.

Yelp
The fish and chips is so good. Some of the best fries I've ever had in my life. It's so dang good.

Alexis C.

Yelp
Awesome cold beers on tap, lots of outdoor seating and good service. Love the live music!

Miles O.

Yelp
I have now been to the Flying Saucer a couple of times, one when the place was quiet, the other when the Eclipse took place, and the Flying Saucer was hopping! In both cases, service met every need with great food and drinks. The appetizers easily could have been a meal, the quantity and quality exceeded our expectations. If you're still hungry after getting appetizers, here's what I had: The first time I ordered the soup and salad. The soup was a bowl of chili that was the best! The second time I ordered the Black and Blue Sandwich that consisted of marinated steak and bleu cheese butter, arugula, tomato and more. There was a pile of sweet potato fries with it. So good! The selection of beers takes you beyond your imagination and affords plenty of opportunities to try beers you might have always wanted to try. During my two visits I tried 2 different beers from Belgium. I highly recommend the Flying Saucer Draught Emporium.

Mallory S.

Yelp
The beers here are never ending. They have over 200! On Mondays all drafts are only 5$ if you get the dip plate add on the pretzel bites so delicious. I got a ranch water and that was yummy too. Plus on a nice day, you can sit on the water! (:

DAvid L.

Yelp
Used to be my go to for cowboys games but today got here for game and they have 90% booked for a private party. Not spending my money here any more.

Courtney H.

Yelp
Hidden gem! Small looking from the outside then you walk into a huge open bar with a ton of seating and an incredible patio overlooking Lake Ray Hubbard. Sampled several beers and ciders and highly recommend the fries and pretzel

Monali D.

Yelp
Love love love the ambience! Great place to hang with friends! I had a sumptuous meal here with a glass of Lakewood temptress, hippy hollow is the salad I tried and loved it!! Not a fan of the burrito bowl as it was dry. But great place to have a nice beer, their patio has a terrific view !

Ivan C.

Yelp
I had the intention to have a great time but they charged me a "Donation" without any notification. I just realized I'd the charge when I was paying. And the asked "why I don't want to help?!". It's not the amount of money but unnoticed charge - and they will use these donations for a tax break!

Jaclyn L.

Yelp
Go for the beer and then COME TO BINGO!!! Ive gone to bingo two times and it's amazing!!! I love bingo! They have an amazinggg pretzel you can munch while you play bingo on Saturday's (from 2-4)

Natalie G.

Yelp
The Flying Saucer seemed to be the hardest restaurant around for us to catch. Once it finally reopened, we couldn't wait to try it out!! As soon as we sat down, we were told the kitchen closes at 9. Such a bummer!! In my humble Yelping opinion, that is just WAY too early. If you know this area well, you know people are out here late. I was hoping for a great late-night spot close to home. We finally got to try it (we made it on time), and the beer selection was decent! That being said, I didn't really feel like this was the best spot to eat if you're looking for a filling dinner. The menu was the most limited that we have seen since the start of the COVID-19 changes. We had to eat our nachos and wings, and then go eat again an hour later, unfortunately. On that note, the food (though small) was mighty, indeed. It was very delicious! We just wish there had been more of it and more to choose from. Other than the hours and the extremely small food menu, please give it a try. I assure you that the decor, the beer selection and the flavor of the food will not leave you in regret.

Karin J.

Yelp
Came here for a work function and we had an amazing time. The food was delicious, the staff was accommodating and friendly. The beer was cold!

Iris S.

Yelp
My friends and I came here on Halloween and enjoyed some "socially distanced" entertainment and drinks. We sat outside at the picnic tables, ordered our drinks and beer inside and they brought it out to us. Across from us was a pavilion with live music which was really neat! We really enjoyed it. Biggest downside is all the parking says 2 hours only... we took the risk of a ticket because we were there for 4 hours. Being outside gave a different feel than how the Flying Saucer in Addison felt that we have been to before but it was still fun and the beer was good. Go out and support your small local businesses! This is a good one.

Ivan B.

Yelp
Great beers on tap. Good vibe. Came from out of town and worker gave us good advice on where to go

Phil B.

Yelp
It's a cool place for rare drafts. This is one of the few places where they have Belgium Trappist ales on tap. Limited food menu and kind of feels like a German Biergarten. Can get pretty crowded during weekends but overall cool vibes here and fresh drinks!

DJ Embu K.

Yelp
Excellent service and great overall place Super friendly staff. Nice location and good food and ambiance

Sereena J.

Yelp
This has become my favorite weekly hangout! Our group of friends comes here for all their amazing specials throughout the week. They have an amazing patio on Cypress Waters as well as a gorgeous inside. The taps regularly rotate and they have some wines, sparkling waters, and sodas for those who aren't here to drink beer. Mondays are $4 drafts, Tuesdays have trivia at 7pm and 9:15pm, Wednesday is $12 flights of four beers AND if you bring and play a board game, you get 25% off local beer cans, Thursday has special featured beers, Saturdays have Bingo at 2pm, and Sundays are $4 Texas beers. They also have happy hour 4-7pm with most beers only being $5, so honestly any day of the week you can get a great beer for a great price. As far as food goes, my favorites have been the steak Speedy Gonzalez bowl and the German Plate. The star here is the $3 huge bowl of delicious, crispy fries that you cannot leave without ordering. The staff is amazing, the location is always clean, and there is plenty of parking across Cypress Waters. Make sure to ask someone behind the bar if you want your beers to count towards a commemorative plate that will go on the wall!

Warren B.

Yelp
This is such a lovely place!!! Lovely and cozy ambiance, cute decor, great choice of beers, very friendly and attentive staff! Was here on a cold pretty eve so we sat inside, with some lovely music going on. Patio seating on a good weather day would definitely be fun! Must visit, if you are around!

Matt M.

Yelp
We had some travel issues and ended up finding this gem through Yelp. The beer menu was enormous, the beer was cold, and they had a yummy vegan pita sandwich option that was outstanding. Neat little spot.

Travis C.

Yelp
This is my new favorite Flying Saucers in all of DFW. It's got the UFO club, tons of beers on draft and a different type of food selection. The lunch here is not your typical bar food. It's actually healthier than what you would find at other bars or Flying Saucers. We went with the Andy Cubano Garcia. The pulled pork was delicious and went well with the black garlic aioli. It was very tasty and filling. The beer as usual was nice and cool and served with a smile. From what I saw they have an outside stage and plenty of wine to drink as well. This is not a full service bar though. As in they do not serve hard liquor. This is due to the Saucer being able to see you growlers/beer to go. Which is perfectly fine. It does seem odd seeing the walls without any member plates, but give it time it will fill up. Maybe just maybe I'll have my UFO club plate on the wall. FYI it costs $18 to join. When you have 200 beer (not in a row, 3 a day) you get your name on a plate. Now that there is a Saucers 8 minutes away from my work, I should get my plate in no time! I can't wait to come back and bring some friends to enjoy this wonderful bar and restaurant.

Rich J.

Yelp
Our whole crew went there for dinner last night...6 adults and 5 kids. The kids loved the outdoor play area. We enjoyed the solitude the play area gave us! Everything we had was really, really good.... especially the soft pretzels and the German plate! Other entrees we enjoyed were the chicken nachos, the Cobb salad and quesadillas for the kids. Of course, they have a gigantic selection of draft beers. It's a fun place to have a meal and drink a beer. We'll be back.

Anthony C.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this review will be based upon this visit. Currently, the pandemic has impacted some restaurants in ways that affect customer experience. Flying Saucer, for me, wasn't THAT great. It was good. But, just, good. Their limited menu is the most limited I've seen during these times and it's, unfortunately, disappointing and unsatisfactory. Also, their operation hours are very short, in my opinion. Being open only for 6 hours is a huge downfall as well. I would recommend going elsewhere for the time being. Somewhere with more options. Don't get me wrong, I tried their wings and nachos and they tasted great. But, I like to have plenty of options and this place just currently doesn't offer that.

Matthew M.

Yelp
We have been coming a few times per month for 6+ months. Love the beer selection on tap and the food. Bingo on Saturday from 2-4 is always fun and the kids enjoy their free root beer when they win. The service is great and the people very friendly.

James M.

Yelp
Cool area of town that I just discovered. I live in Hurst and usually go to Grapevine, but stumbled across this area of restaurants, a park, and apartments. Easy parking and many great places within walking distance. The Flying Saucer is a tried and true institution for incredible beers and solid bar food. They have outdoor seating on the back of the place that overlooks a waking park and a small lake. The service here was top-notch. Highly recommended!

Kristofer L.

Yelp
After a long day of work today I wanted a good beer and something to eat.. All of my friends were busy so I decided to take a chance with Flying Saucer. I didn't think anyplace in the area could come close to Rodeo Goat.. This place caught me by surprise.. I had the chili cheese burger with Fritos on it.. Fritos on a chili burger, YES PLEASE! The service was great, the place was pretty busy for a Monday night. The food and beer selection were both great, I will definitely visit again when I'm back in town.

Parker S.

Yelp
The food was sooo tasty and they hosted free bingo while we ate! I got the burger and the sweet potato fries were perfect, the carne asada fries are top tier.

Chef Joey S.

Yelp
Eat before you come for drinks! Overcooked "fish and chips" $18 and their picnic board /charcuterie $12 is disappointing. Yes, that IS sliced sandwich ham and matzo cracker. Lol otherwise, great staff and drinks.

Diana D.

Yelp
Staff is very welcoming & friendly. The setting is very nice as well! Will definitely recommend and be back.

John K.

Yelp
I feel like the staff may have been a bit overwhelmed the first time I paid these guys a visit in this location. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt though. Every business runs into issues like that from time to time. Especially in the restaurant business. All in all, this place is terrific! Very tasty chips and queso, extensive beer menu, and ample seating for whatever crowd you're wanting to bring. It looks like they host trivia nights too, so I bet those nights are a hit there!

Matthew H.

Yelp
805 was the pick tonight. Solid blonde beer with good flavor. The queso is really good and the added rotel mix reminds me of back home. Great outdoor area with a band on select nights. It's a really great venue and the servers do a great job after you order. Be sure to order all the beer first. Cheers!

Nathan R.

Yelp
Spiders fell into my beer on three separate occasions. The place was badass enough that it's still five stars. Maybe it's five stars because of the spiders...

Lacey C.

Yelp
We have been to the old Addison location, this new one in Coppell is in a nice spot. Everyone was nice and helpful, we will definitely return.
