"Addison’s Flying Saucer Draught Emporium, one of the Metroplex’s first craft beer bars, will close for good on December 31 after 25 years in business. The beer hall, known for hosting more than 100 rotating taps of craft brews, posted the news on its Facebook account on December 21. The founder Shannon Wynne mentioned that the lease on the location is up, and he is opting not to renew. The Addison location was the second to open after the Fort Worth original, and the original location, as well as the Saucers at Lake Ray Hubbard and Cypress Waters, will remain open." - Brittanie Shey

Google
The bartenders were very friendly, attentive, & informative. It was my first time coming and they did mind making sure I got the right flavor/type of beer I was used to. There was live music outside. Loved the atmosphere, good vibes.

Leslie Iacono

Google
The best service. Great margarita. Very cool space inside and outside, there a whole stage for live music. Not a ton of vegetarian options, maybe more of a drinking place for me but cool vibes and great service

Brandon Klopfenstein

Google
Worst food of any flying saucer. The people of FT Worth should hold his place accountable for the terrible beef jerky they call steak. Then, to top it off, the fish and chips are just a brick of batter with little to no fish remaining inside. It's been cooked into oblivion. Quality control regarding the food is horrible. The staff is so nice, but don't bother eating here beyond a pretzel.

Google
My buddy and I decided to catch up and have some lunch at the flying saucer. We had the best experience tonight. Our server, Lori (sorry if I misspelled) was incredible. She was very helpful and knowledgeable and just so sweet. We also met the manager Travis who was just as great and made us feel welcome. I signed up to be a UFO member and I can’t wait to go back. We had a great time, highly recommend.

Google
We really love their outdoor stage with live music, especially in the early spring. Both charcuterie boards were excellent. Excellent Lemon Drop Martini. Bartender whipped up a grapefruit martini for me as well, YUM! Definitely going again soon.

Google
Love this place! The food is delicious, the servers are cheerful and the atmosphere is English pub/sports bar/great outside seating/close to Sundance Square. Gotta start coming here more often.

Mikey

Google
This is a great bar that is perfectly situated in downtown Fort Worth. Right off of Sundance Square, it has a large and well shaded patio where you can sit and sip a beer and watch the world go bye. The beer selection is large and has many varieties. I recall trying their food at one point but it was a long time ago and it didn't leave me with any particular impression, so it must have been just okay. Having said that, remember this is a bar and not a bar and grill, so don't expect to have an expansive food menu. This will definitely be my go-to hangout spot after work.

Google
1st night in Fort Worth, had a walk around Sundance Square looking for food and stumbled upon Flying Saucer and so glad we did, great food endless choice of beers and great service, highly recommend

Yelp
I recently stopped by Flying Saucer Draught Emporium with some friends for a quick bite and drinks, and as always, it was a fun time. This place has an incredible beer selection--pretty much any type of beer you can think of, which makes it a go-to for beer lovers. We shared a Bavarian-style appetizer sampler, and it was really good. Perfect for sharing, and paired well with the drinks. The service was excellent, with friendly staff that kept things running smoothly. The atmosphere has a cool, laid-back vibe, great bar, and the patio is a nice bonus, especially when the weather's nice--it's great for people-watching. Located near Sundance Square, Flying Saucer is in a prime spot if you're looking to grab a drink before heading to an event at Bass Hall or the convention center. All in all, it's a solid spot to hang out, enjoy good food, and try new beers.

Yelp
Came here for New Year's Eve since it was by our hotel, amazing experience! The food was phenomenal and came out incredibly fast. Lots of options for beer. We loved our carne asada fries and build your own pizza. Our server was sweet and attentive! The inside has fun decorations and a chill vibe with outdoor seating. 100% recommend checking out if you're downtown.

Kevin M.

Yelp
Always a go-to in Ft. Worth! The food, service, and ambiance are great. If you like beer, you can't go wrong. The selection is huge! It's also a good place for a large group of people, especially if the weather is nice.

Jarek G.

Yelp
What a cool freaking beer bar. The curated flights are a great range of all the options they offer. The bar has tons of seating and the bartender was able to put on golf for us which was awesome. The outdoor seating was great and was even able to pick up some Girl Scout cookies. Will definitely come back when I'm in Fort Worth.

Yelp
A great place to go for beer lovers; lots of options. I ordered the steak sandwich and a side salad with blue cheese. I requested medium rare for the steak; I would consider what I got to be raw. I still enjoyed it! Had great flavor and the bread was perfect. I would've preferred bigger cuts of steak as they kept falling off the sandwich. The side salad was good, but odd. I didn't specify what type of salad- it was just listed as a side salad. It had olives, raw mushrooms, and mozzarella on it. Again, it was still good but a very unique assortment of toppings. Dressing was fantastic! I had a slice of my friends pizza she couldn't finish, great pizza too. It had an ideal ratio of sauce to cheese and toppings. I sat outdoors and it was perfect. Great space to people watch. Lots of tables for seating options. Our service was good- it was a busy day so some things took a bit longer than others (namely my friend taking awhile to get her drink), but the servers were very friendly and helpful in answering any questions our table had.

Hope A.

Yelp
Always a great location for a quick beer on a hot day. Even an Aperol Spritz hits the spot. Cute atmosphere as well. Highly recommend when in the Sundance Square area.

Carlos V.

Yelp
A good variety of beers, nice ambiance, good service and good food. They have a nice shaded patio but the temperature was too hot to even consider it.

Tobie C.

Yelp
What a fun night! We went around 4pm on a Sunday and sat outside under the trees and shade on a cooler day. We had a great server, Addie, I believe. She made great beer recommendations and was always friendly and helpful. We stayed for quite a long time just enjoying the weather, people watching, and company. The pretzel was great, with the two options of cheese or mustard to dip in. And then we did a hot mama pizza and substituted pepperoni instead of sausage. The heat and the sweet were so good together. The service was friendly, quick, and it was a really great atmosphere to enjoy friends and company! Definitely will be back.

Jon C.

Yelp
What a great bar. So at first I walk in and see the menu up on the wall and think, that's a healthy amount of beer on tap (maybe 10-12), but didn't have exactly what I was hoping for, but definitely fine. Then I sit down after ordering, and that's when I saw the menu. MANY MORE beers on tap, a laundry list of options. And I was there on a Monday and its $5 pints on Mondays and that was fantastic. ANY BEER FOR $5! But then the bartender comes over to my table and I ask, I'm here 1 night, what should I drink that'll knock my socks off. He considers what I've already had and then recommends a can. And you know what, it was exceptional. Totally different, totally delicious, and the best recommendation I've had. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere. A game was on and many people cheering for the Dallas team and I got into it. It was fun. The one docked star was I had dessert there and it was mediocre. Would definitely go back and hope it's a Monday.

Yelp
Flying Saucer truly stands out with its inviting atmosphere, making it a delightful spot for casual dining and drinks. The ambiance of the place strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively, creating a great setting for both relaxed conversations and vibrant gatherings. The highlight for any beer enthusiast is undoubtedly their extensive selection of craft beers. This impressive array caters to all tastes, from the hoppy IPA lover to the stout aficionado. The variety and quality of the beers on offer are commendable, making it a go-to destination for anyone looking to explore unique and flavorful brews. As for the food, the fish and chips were a standout. The fish was cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior and flaky interior, paired excellently with their homemade fries, which were a hit in their own right - crispy, flavorful, and evidently made with care. However, the French dip, ordered by my wife, was just average. While it was decent, it lacked the wow factor that the fish and chips carried, leaving a bit to be desired in comparison. The service was outstanding and our beverages never went below half full. In summary, Flying Saucer provides a wonderful experience overall, marked by a fantastic atmosphere and an impressive selection of craft beers. The quality of most dishes, especially the fish and chips, adds to the appeal. Although there's a bit of inconsistency in the food quality, the overall experience is definitely worth it for anyone who appreciates good beer and a warm, inviting ambiance.

Yelp
We sat inside because it is still cold in February. We sat at the bar to order drinks and lunch. 10 minutes into our lunch, around 2:30, someone opened the outside double doors which let all the cold breeze come in. We asked our waitress at the bar about that and she said, "I'm not cold". Then she went immediately and talked to her coworker, looking at us. We then asked the coworker who came over to see if there was a reason the door was open. She said that they open it when the weather is nice. She said that she was sorry we were cold. We were too. Other people put their jackets on. We asked for to go boxes and left. Food and drinks were all good.

Shontel C.

Yelp
Came for an event and it was great! The venue itself is perfect with a huge outdoor area which has a stage and plenty of seating. The staff were great and so were the drinks. Try the jalapeño cucumber margarita for sure!

Ashley R.

Yelp
Cool atmosphere and great location! Lots of beers on tap but quality of the beer was not to our satisfaction. I had St Arnold Art Car and it was not cold and the CO2 seemed off. Service was attentive and very friendly.

Vedette V.

Yelp
My man crush and I ate here with a birthday group before heading to Studio 80. There are a ton of beer selections and a few cocktail options. Definitely need more cocktail options. We ordered two Comfortably Numb cocktails and although pretty, they were very strong. Definitely would not them order again. The fish and chips were good, although the crispy batter on the fish became soggy rather quickly. The fries were good. The service was quick and attentive. Overall, a pretty good food experience yet the drinks we had were less than stellar.

Coni B.

Yelp
Read about this place online while looking at what to do during our visit. So glad I found it! It's in such a cute part of FW. I stayed outside as I had my dogs with me (dog friendly!!) and it was so pretty and nice under the trees and canopy. We came mostly just for a beer and their selection is amazing! You'll find not one but many beers you'll want. After such beers we decided maybe a treat would be toooo bad and got a pretzel. Even it was good! The place is clean and the staff are super kind. Give it a shot!!!

Lynn M.

Yelp
In a fantastic downtown Fort Worth location, this establishment had an awesome vibe. Beer selection was unbelievable...if they don't have it, it doesn't exist or isn't worth having! Service was super friendly. One member of our party had an issue with her food being cold, and the manager promptly and apologetically took care of it ... and took 50% off of her bill. Pizza was good, black and blue sandwich was great and the honey chicken dinner so so. Salad was fresh. Best bet, IMO, would be to come in for appetizers, sandwiches and beer.

Lynette H.

Yelp
It was the best grilled salmon bowl I have ever had. My husband had a delicious pizza. We enjoyed amazing drinks. Their jalapeño drink is highly recommended. Service was great. It has wonderful outdoor dining that completed the dining experience. Highly recommend.

Tammy A.

Yelp
What a way to start the New year .... 2025 with awesome company. The food and service was awesome . Not to mention the ambiance A-plus . Dj was rocking it .

Michelle L.

Yelp
The selection of beers is impressive. Not being well versed in beer, the bar tender was able to help me pick a beer in the same family. The menu was sad. There were limited items and the food we ordered was "meh" at best. The outdoor venue was great. Benches and tables with attentive wait staff. I'd go back to sit outside with beer in hand, but would choose to eat something before I went

Becky P.

Yelp
Loved the outdoor atmosphere. We stopped in after some shopping in the square for some beers and the tostada bites. They were delicious and came with 4. One of each of us. The waitress was great at recommending drinks, as well.

LaTaya M.

Yelp
Pleasant surprise. I didnt really expect much from this place but it was actually pretty good. I made a flight and to my surprise found some dark beers that I liked. I ordered a pizza and loved it. My husband ordered a burger and he thought it was pretty good as well. I will be back. The service was great and the ambiance of the place was nice as well.

Leah F.

Yelp
So glad that this establishment still exists, I worked here in college over 10 years ago, and the vibe is still here- food is great and beer selection top notch, the service is friendly and consistent - only complaint is the the GM doesn't allow the girls to wear tennis skirts- what's that about?! The patio here is the vibe - outside at 90 plus degrees and it's not uncomfortable one bit

Holly M.

Yelp
Server was awesome!! And the appetizer and pizza were amazing! We could have just chilled here for hours....oh wait...we did!

Kim D.

Yelp
This place has wonderful history and is definitely worth checking out! The plates on the walls are a great conversation piece, and the beer menu is very extensive. The staff are also lovely. I ordered the Rueben, and it was good. The fries, however, were not anything special. I think that if the food was elevated just a bit, this place would be perfect! Even as is, it's a cool local spot if you are in the area.

Sydney D.

Yelp
Best bar i've been to since i've moved to Fort Worth. Haven't had a bad beer yet and the food is great. Service is always so amazing. They have great music as well as live music. I really can't complain about this bar it's pretty good.

Keasha E.

Yelp
Service was quick and waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. We were there for lunch , there was plenty of outdoor seating. The turkey melt sandwich and steak sandwich were both very tasty. Nice outdoor atmosphere

Miranda E.

Yelp
Place is a absolute nightmare of "service" You come in find your own seat and literally NOBODY approaches you for service. You will have to find a server and order at the bar which occupies their bar seat for nothing when all you wanted was to sit and eat. Then if you take your food back outside you probably lost your seat cause you were inside waiting on your food. They need to decide what they want to be bar or restaurant. I REALLY WANTED to like this place but it's disorganized garbage. GO somewhere....anywhere else. The bar servers are nice though!

Chele H.

Yelp
Nice to have a place opener later on week nights especially for folks staying in downtown for work or play. If the place is busy or slow have some patience as the service is very slow due to the casual atmosphere and seating. I was there with very few guests close to closing and waited a long time for a server. Might suggest if going solo, even if going for food, see about sitting at the bar as bartenders don't ever ignore guests. Food is the typical pub offerings like burgers and fries. Their version of a French dip was fine, not the best I've ever had but also not bad at all. You get what you expect. It's known for its huge beer menu though as someone who is not a beer drinker it was a bourbon on the rocks and meal for me. For other non-beer drinkers know they have limited liquor brand offerings.

Heather D.

Yelp
We've been here a few times, but the food was really sub-par this time. My hubby and son both had burgers. They were the blandest burgers they've ever tasted. Fried were also flavorless (which is odd for hand cut goodness) and the portions of fries were super small. My Paco Bowl was the most bland, rice and chicken I have ever had in my life. I doused it in hot sauce just to have any flavor. Service was ok - my son's burger was wrong and it took 10 Minutes to bring out another, but the waitress was very nice and apologized. I LOVE their turkey sandwich (which I did not have this trip) but the cooks need to learn something about spices.

Mike M.

Yelp
Stopped in a for a quick bite and a beer. They have a main room and a side, patio facing section. Several TV's and lots of tables. Good place to watch a game. Far too many beer choices but the servers are quickly able to make a selection. My blonde ale was delicious, as was my order of fish n chips. Definitely a comfortable bar and grill.

Deya Z.

Yelp
We stopped by on a whim on a Saturday night since most of the breweries in town closed at 9 or 10 pm. To our surprise it was super quiet (and bright...for a bar, at 10 pm). Anyway, Flying Saucer has been around forever & this location's been here i think since at least 2012...so we were surprised to see it so quiet. The patio is amazing with tons of seating. Inside, the place still feels very gen x - chotskies/flying saucers on the wall & a bit of a Friday's vibe. Folks there ranged from tourists grabbing a drink away from their hotel to locals catching a late game on tv to wedding guests trying to keep the vibes going. The beer selection was decent with local craft beers on tap and your standard national brands. We were surprised they didn't have more local beers on tap. Our server was super friendly & quick. If you're looking to grab a drink, this place has you covered.

Katie S.

Yelp
Great food and great service. Wings were delish and we loved the atmosphere. My husband got a burger that was great too!! Also, the specialty beer was a must.

Kendall H.

Yelp
Wow this place has the biggest beer menu I have ever seen! We came on a Wednesday night and the place was packed - and for good reason! The food and drinks are good, and the vibes are casual and fun. A great place to pop in after work or before a night in downtown. We got the chicken sandwich with pimento cheese and pickles - it was really good! The burger was good too but be sure to add cheese because it doesn't come with any :(

Glenn P.

Yelp
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in March, and this Yankee had an hour to kill in beautiful Fort Worth before meeting his cousin for lunch. Whatever was a boy to do? Have a couple of really good beers, obviously. And what to my wondering eyes should appear? Flying Saucer Draught Emporium, with over 50 beers. I'm a poet and I don't even know it. Seriously, it was good and fresh beer of all types. Two tasty flights and eight samples later, I staggered to the Uber pickup spot. They had great selection across the spectrum of beer and cider options. My choices: mango sour, IPA, Imperial IPA, imperial stout, double bock, Hefeweizen, black IPA, and a Scottish Wee Heavy ale. And the outside seating on a warm March day really made this Northerner happy. Sorry I can't speak to the food. NEVER ruin a good beer buzz with food. I'm just sayin.

Marica M.

Yelp
Great selection of beers and a few options of seltzers if beers aren't your thing. Food is your typical bar food and it was pretty good! We sat indoors during our stay due to it being super windy. Outside on the patio, they have live music. All seating is first come, first serve. Service was great, our waitress was attentive!

Patricia E.

Yelp
Stopped in after a top golf round. We got the Hot Mama pizza, was yummy. Made well, they didn't bullseye and had a nice spread of toppings. Not too hot. Nice selection of beers.

Brandi K.

Yelp
Ok so it's kitschy and fun inside. The booths could use some attention as it looks like this place hasn't been updated since it was built. I popped in for a cocktail with a friend while bar hopping one night. I ordered a beer which thank goodness because it's really hard to screw up something that comes in a can. My friend ordered a cosmopolitan... literally the simplest and most ordered cocktail ever (he's a bartender of 15 years, btw). The server who took the order had no idea what a cosmo was and clearly neither did the bartender. It showed up in a lowball glass on the rocks, was hot pink and not at all a cosmo. It was something, but good is not how it could be described. Genuinely can't wrap my head around it.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Loved the food and vibe here! I stopped in before a show at Bass Hall and I can't wait to go back! I got the burger and my friend got the chicken sandwich and both were delicious and the fries were fresh! And even if you don't like beer (like me) there's so many great cocktail options! Definitely come here if you are in the Sundance square area

Erica H.

Yelp
Great place to have some drinks and food. Great outside seating and patio area with live music depending on the night you go. Inside it's like a mix of a sports/dive but cleaner. Don't let the look fool you, the food was exquisite.

David C.

Yelp
I'm just going say this. I randomly came to this place from out of town and it happened to correspond with their trivia night. They asked sixty questions. I knew the answer to like 2. TONE IT DOWN WERE NOT ALL EINSTEIN. Seriously though, the service was about the fastest I've ever seen, anywhere. I ordered my food and within about 5 minutes it was out. Amazing. Shilyn (could be spelling that wrong but it's pronounced shy-lynn) was our waitress and she was super sweet and funny. I would definitely come back here.

Geoff G.

Yelp
Very good beer selection. Food was subpar and service was not good. Waiter would disappear for long periods of time.

Diana D.

Yelp
Best thing about this place is that it's open late! It gives Irish pub vibes but it is not one. The bar tenders were very friendly, polite and attentive. We went on a Friday night around 11:30pm and it was pretty busy but there were still some bar stools available. They have the best watermelon cider! Prices are very reasonable. We ordered the steak fries, they were very good! And the Salmon bowl...it was a little flavorless but it was good quality salmon. It's definitely a very good option to stop by for a quick drink and bite when nothing else is open.

Dmitri A. N.

Yelp
A little disappointing after knowing this place for so long. The appetizers came out a minute after the entrees but everything was cold. The server seemed to have been assigned outside seating despite us being inside served by him so he wasn't running by us often. I wish I had pictures but the food coming out all at once made it difficult. A lot of money for a disappointing dinner.

Mark W.

Yelp
Love this place. Great beer selection and great food. Service has always been on point. Cool feeling inside. Have yet to be here on a day when we could use the patio, but I'm sure it would not disappoint. A definite stop.

Yitzhak O.

Yelp
Still great today after opening in 1995. So many notable Beer Mavens. Sarah, Jenny, Lacey and many others !!!

Autumn M.

Yelp
It's your typical Flying Saucer - dark pub vibe, lots of beer options, some TVs scattered around. They definitely get five stars when it comes to choices of beer, but their food menu is very lackluster. And it seems a bit overpriced. This location was pretty spacious and had the US World Cup game on all but one tv. The staff are alright. Depending what you're looking for, I think there are better options around. If you want a beer list with like a hundred beers on it, then sure, check this place out. Otherwise, head some place with a more unique vibe and better food.

Ponce C.

Yelp
My colleague and I went here thinking the the food was gonna be good because of the reviews and we knew the beer selection had to be good. We ordered Fish n Chips and the fish had to have been sitting out for some time because when we got our dinner, the edge of each piece of cod were dry and rubbery and the fries were limp and soggy. My colleague sent his back and ordered a sandwich which was better. I also ordered wings that were suppose to be fried wings but they were just rubbery. Not even 1 crispy wing out of the whole basket of FRIED wings. Definitely not the place to go for food but definitely go for the beers. The bartenders were great, they definitely knew their beers but their knowledge of food needs a bit of work.

Jovan A.

Yelp
Really great place to go I was visiting from out of state the food is really good for a bar one of the better bar foods I've ever had and the patio is amazing as well right in heart of downtown Fort Worth I will definitely go back next time I'm in town

Hailey S.

Yelp
it was so cute here. i had the paco taco bowl, it was really good and gluten free. and i don't drink beer so i just had a margarita (mid). the atmosphere outside was wonderful and i loved how it was dog friendly. the dog that sat next to me was amazing.
