The 17 Best Vegan Restaurants in Sydney, Australia | Eater

"At Gunjan Aylawadi’s welcoming all-day Indian diner, you have to order the sabudana vada, essentially spiced hash-brown bites that chef Dhruv Sadaphal (previously of Fred’s) keeps vegan-friendly with sweetened coconut yogurt. The broccoli wings with hot tamarind sauce and dosa potato jaffles are also vegan and boast strong followings among fans." - Lee Tran Lam

Mind blowing food and drinks! I've not had a better coffee flavored martini - the filter coffee martini was so good that I got two! All the chats were very well done. We visited from Austin, Texas because I randomly came across an instagram video of their besan laddoo soft serve and besan laddoo is my husband's favorite dessert. I am so glad I took the chance - would totally visit again if we lived here!

This was a delightful experience, especially as someone with a garlic intolerance. They brought out a dedicated 'no onion no garlic' menu which was honestly already enough to win me over. The food was incredible, packed with wonderful flavours and creative twists on Indian dishes. Will definitely have to come back to try the rest of the menu!

Had dinner at the Fritterie after seeing posts on Instagram. The dishes are really tasty and fully of flavours. Balanced between spice and spicy. Enjoyed the meal in a relaxed and friendly environment. Good food for the prices.

beautiful ambience good music good staff and good food. Loved all the items that i picked. Chai, sabudana vada, vada pav, and besan laddoo soft serve with the nuts stole the show. Keep in mind if you’re coming alone make sure to come hungry. Portion sizes are good for the price point so you’ll be stuffed by the end. Overall amazing vibe

This was our third visit to Flyover Fritter and it just keeps getting better. The food is absolutely full of flavour, the ambience is warm and inviting, and the service is always top-notch. Gunjan and the entire team make you feel genuinely welcome every time. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area — you’ll love it!

Flyover Fritterie is one of those rare gems that just keeps getting better. I’ve been supporting Gunjan since her early days in Sydney CBD, and even during lockdown my husband and I were blown away by the freshness, quality and creativity of the food. (We were absolutely obsessed with the granola - hoping it makes a comeback one day!) Years later, Flyover has become one of our go-to spots for everything including casual dinners, Diwali celebrations, milestone moments, and catch-ups with friends. There are way too many favourites to list, but the momos, broccoli wings, vada pav, and that kapi soft serve (please bring it back soon) are absolute standouts. Truly mouth-watering every single time. Gunjan and her team are consistently warm, welcoming and full of heart. As a woman in business myself, I’m so proud of everything she’s built and the community she’s created. Kudos to her and the entire Flyover Fritterie team. Sydney is lucky to have you!

Flyover Fritterie in Redfern offers a delicious twist on Indian street food that’s definitely worth trying. We ordered the Black Daal, Corn Bhel Puri, Broccoli Wings, Vada Pav Sliders and Sabudana Vada – each dish was full of bold, authentic flavours and beautifully presented. The Vada Pav Sliders stood out the most, packed with spice and texture, it is street food elevated, yet still authentic to its roots. While the food was fantastic, the only downside was the long wait time, which took away slightly from the overall experience. That said, the quality and taste of the food made up for it. If you're a fan of Indian flavours or just keen to try something different, this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu!
