The Hit List: New Barcelona Restaurants To Try Right Now - Barcelona - The Infatuation

"In Barcelona, where beachfront takeout options mostly start with "Burger’ and end in ‘King,” it was high time for a spot serving a top-notch beach picnic to open. Enter a new counter-service focaccia sandwich joint by the team behind pizzeria Balmesina—and it’s only four blocks from Barceloneta beach. It’s a supremely low-maintenance alternative to assembling a picnic in the market, where a gleaming steel-and-glass counter heaves with prosciutto, bresaola, speck, and salami, and a short menu scrawled on a whiteboard. There are natural wines in the fridge and Bavarian Weihenstephan beer on tap. The Mortazza—with mortadella, burrata, tomato, and pistachio pesto—is a gently elevated classic, while the Baita (speck, mozzarella, creamed mushroom with ricotta) comes with the cured meat sliced fresh right in front of you. This is an old-school deli with nothing pre-prepared, so prepare to wait 15 minutes on weekends." - isabelle kliger, isabelle kliger, isabelle kliger, isabelle kliger, isabelle kliger, isabelle kliger, isabelle kliger, isabelle kliger, isabelle kliger

Delicious ! We have tasted the ham and cheese, and the truffle one and it was truly good. Only down side is that it is a bit expensive. 10€ for a focaccia (even if the quality is very good) seems a bit to much.

The best place ever- came here almost every day whilst staying in Barceloneta because we just couldn’t get enough! The staff were all super friendly and such a nice, chill vibe in there (especially when compared with similar spots in the area). Couldn’t recommend more 🕺💖

Porchetta is delicious. They make it in house and what he’s most passionate about. The ingredients are excellent. The combinations are delicious. As an added bonus we they have a natural wines to accompany the delicious sandwhich. The focaccia is arguably the best part of the sandwhich, perfect balance of crispy and soft.

Absolutely the best sandwich place in Barceloneta. The porchetta is extremely tasty and there is quite a lot of it. Loved it!

Superb! Ingredients are fresh, smartly combined and work so well with the wines on offer. The artichoke/olives veggie option is 5*. Owner is from Naples, he clearly knows what he’s doing.

Great spot! The focaccia was absolutely delicious — fresh and full of flavor. The staff were kind and attentive, and there was good music playing from the speakers, which added to the relaxed vibe. Definitely worth a visit!

Google
Nice sandwich place near the Barceloneta market. Very tasty focaccia paninis with quality ingredients and generous amount of sauce in every bite. For the 2x1 deal, it was an amazing offer, but 10€ is a bit pricey for the size. It took 40 min to make our sandwiches, but it was incredibly busy for the promo. However, they gave us a free (delicious) beer while we waited.

They serve amazing focaccia here. The guy gave us a great recommendation. But we had to wait a long time when the place was almost empty. And there was something strange with the toilet, the door wouldn't close.
