"Patrick Mahler and his team offer a unique culinary experience in the form of an exciting six- or nine-course set menu. Replete with intricate details, it blends classic, Japanese and Scandinavian elements. Amuse-bouches, such as shiitake dashi with a lovely hint of ginger, provide the perfect prelude. Hard to be beaten in terms of intensity and complexity of flavour is the combination of Miéral pigeon and truffle, accompanied by the wonderful depth of pigeon jus, as well as Albufera sauce and white cabbage foam. The signature dish of duck liver ice cream with beetroot and beef tartare also deserves a special mention. The quality of the ingredients is second to none. With over 35 000 bottles and complete vertical collections, the wine cellar is a treasure trove for wine connoisseurs. The service is top-notch: perfectly coordinated and unflappable, and the chefs talk you through their dishes personally. The restaurant itself is upscale and chic, housed in an elegant and spacious glass cube overlooking the lake – by night, the moonlight lends the space a uniquely atmospheric charm. In summer, the terrace is simply idyllic!" - Michelin Inspector

Michelin Announces 2019 Stars for Switzerland | Eater

"In Vitznau on Lake Lucerne, the fine-dining restaurant at the Park Hotel regained its two-Michelin-star status in 2019 after being omitted from the guide in 2018; it had held two stars under chef Nenad Mlinarevic since 2014 and, now led by chef Patrick Mahler, appears to have returned to its former standard." - Monica Burton

The service, view and atmosphere are all great. Very impressed with the main dish pigeon which came from brasseries. It is so juicy and tender. We ordered additional caviar 50 grams for 165 CHF which is also a very good experience. Will recommend this place.

As a guest at the renowned Park Hotel Switzerland, I had the privilege of dining at the hotel's two Michelin-starred restaurant, Focus. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was nothing short of amazing. The team greeted us warmly and ensured our every need was met with the utmost care and attention. The food itself was truly exceptional. Each dish was impeccably presented, showcasing the chef's artistry and the restaurant's commitment to culinary excellence. The flavors were bold, yet perfectly balanced, leaving us thoroughly satisfied and craving more. The menu featured a harmonious blend of locally-sourced ingredients, expertly crafted into masterpieces that delighted the senses. What truly made the dining experience unforgettable, however, was the breathtaking view. The restaurant's panoramic windows offered a stunning panorama of the surrounding Swiss Alps, creating an ambiance that was both serene and awe-inspiring. It was as if we were dining in the heart of nature, with the majestic mountains providing a stunning backdrop to our meal. As the dinner came to a close, we were delighted when the chef himself came to greet us and ensure that we were completely satisfied with our experience. This personal touch was a testament to the restaurant's dedication to exceptional customer service and its unwavering commitment to providing a truly memorable dining experience. In conclusion, Focus at Park Hotel Switzerland is a culinary destination that truly lives up to its two Michelin stars. From the impeccable hospitality to the exquisite cuisine and the breathtaking views, every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a world-class gastronomic adventure in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

⸻ We visited with my mother to celebrate life—marking my recovery from cancer and her successful brain surgery. Our stay was particularly meaningful, as we had last been at this hotel 27 years ago, making it a nostalgic return. The service, location, and food were all exceptional and exceeded our expectations. If there is one point I would kindly suggest for improvement, it would be to consider closing the pool to guests after 7 p.m. From the moment we arrived, we sensed a noticeable shift in the hotel’s guest profile over the years, likely due to changing dynamics of wealth and accessibility. Unfortunately, this has led to an atmosphere that at times felt less refined than what we had previously experienced

Amazing food, very friendly staff, beautiful scenery! Every dish is an artwork with excellent taste and presentation. I want to thank the team for their attention to every detail and friendliness, especially the girl who accompanied my son to choose the ice cream. A top notch food atelier!

This food is extremely good and the wine pairing was really clever. The view is also one of its kind. As are the waiters and the chefs. Very very nice people. Service, food, wine pairing, view, ambiance 10/10. Its 100% worth it. We had a great evening.

Service was great, very friendly and attentive. The location itself is also amazing, probably more so during summer months. The food however was very mellow, nothing really stood out, nothing had bold flavors. Selling a 6 course menu for CHF 295 whereby one ‘course’ is just bread & butter is bold. Felt very overprized (not just the menu; CHF 7.50 for an espresso, CHF 8 for a coke), will not return.

Focus has to be one of the best dining experiences you can have. The food is very delicately put together and the kitchen team explain each dish very well so you can really appreciate them. The staff do everything possible for your night to be awesome. All this is topped off by one of greatest views. If you can have dinner close to sunset and sit outside if weather allows.
