Fogo de Chão in Santa Monica is hands-down my favorite spot in the city — and honestly, the only place I trust to consistently deliver great food, service, and value. After getting burned at other Santa Monica restaurants with sky-high prices and forgettable meals, I’ve made it simple: I don’t eat anywhere else. Why risk being ripped off again when I know I’ll leave here full, happy, and relaxed?
The location is unbeatable — right on Ocean Avenue with stunning views of the Santa Monica Pier and the Pacific. There’s nothing like sitting down to a perfectly grilled cut of Picanha while the sun sets over the ocean in the background. It’s one of the most relaxing, picture-perfect dinner experiences you can have in L.A. — and way more interesting and inviting than the more formal vibe of the Beverly Hills location.
The food speaks for itself. The salad bar is overflowing with fresh, vibrant options, artisan cheeses, and seasonal sides. But the star of the show is the meat — and the Picanha is to die for. Tender, juicy, full of flavor, and served exactly the way it should be. Every skewer that hits your table is hot, fresh, and satisfying.
Service is another major highlight. Lucas is especially gracious — welcoming, attentive, and always making you feel like a VIP without being over the top. The entire team has that warm, family-style hospitality that keeps you coming back.
The restaurant is spotless, the vibe is elegant yet casual, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable — especially for the quality and experience you’re getting.
Bottom line: if you want an unforgettable dinner with top-tier food, great service, and a front-row seat to one of California’s best sunsets, Fogo de Chão Santa Monica is the only name you need to know.
