Best Dishes Eater LA Editors Ate This Week: April 14 | Eater LA

"A new Brazilian barbecue outpost with ocean views across from the Santa Monica pier, featuring a wide salad bar that looks into the grill where cooks rotate various cuts of meat like picanha, garlic beef, and lamb. A proper Brazilian barbecue feast should include vinaigrette (chopped tomato and onion salad), farofa (toasted manioc flour), rice, and feijoada (or feijoao — just the stewed beans); while sauteed collard greens are sadly not offered here, the salad bar is still terrific. As with many chains, it tends to show best early on when management and operations are at their tightest." - Eater Staff

Went recently had the enhanced experience brought a friend was prob like 76 before tax a person for that ofc, ive been to fogos quite a few times my first time at this location, the food was decent. The service was very mediocre for this kind of chain of restaurant in my opinion granted i did go midday, one of my servers was who was in the kitchen was cool the other one that was more of a busboy was kind of weird until he seen i was paying.. place was filthy when you look at the bottom of the tables there was food and trash and gunk all on the lining and it was on all the ones i seen, grab a broom and clean that up for christ sakes and then get on your hands and knees and clean them, i run a few establishments myself and i cant stand when people cut corners especially at a place of this stature.. Overall my experience was mid, probably wouldn’t return no time soon, i tipped 20 dollars on a 176 dollar bill and tbh that was generous in my opinion considering the very mediocre service that day. Clean up in that place a bit scrub everything, place is disgusting i should call health inspectors.

Amazing place! This was my first time here and we were there for a little birthday lunch, and what an experience! Highly recommend doing the experience while you are there- they have a buffet to go get all your sides and then they come around to the table with all different kinds of meat: bacon wrapped chicken, lamb, filet, ribeye, etc. The drinks were amazing and the service was phenomenal. And the key lime pie was great too!

LOVED this place! It was my first time at the Santa Monica location (I’d been to the Beverly Hills one many moons ago), and it did not disappoint. The ambiance was wonderful - once evening settled in, the lights dimmed and created such an intimate, cozy atmosphere for my birthday dinner. ✨ The service was truly my favorite part. Every server was kind, attentive, and thoughtful, while also giving us the perfect amount of space to simply enjoy the experience together. The food arrived at just the right temperature, with generous portions that were absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back again whenever I can!

We had an amazing experience at Fogo de Chão Santa Monica! Our server Matheus was absolutely outstanding — attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. He explained the cuts with such detail and made us feel very welcome. The service truly elevated our dining experience. Thank you, Matheus, for taking such great care of us! We’ll definitely be bac

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fogo de Chão in Santa Monica is hands-down my favorite spot in the city — and honestly, the only place I trust to consistently deliver great food, service, and value. After getting burned at other Santa Monica restaurants with sky-high prices and forgettable meals, I’ve made it simple: I don’t eat anywhere else. Why risk being ripped off again when I know I’ll leave here full, happy, and relaxed? The location is unbeatable — right on Ocean Avenue with stunning views of the Santa Monica Pier and the Pacific. There’s nothing like sitting down to a perfectly grilled cut of Picanha while the sun sets over the ocean in the background. It’s one of the most relaxing, picture-perfect dinner experiences you can have in L.A. — and way more interesting and inviting than the more formal vibe of the Beverly Hills location. The food speaks for itself. The salad bar is overflowing with fresh, vibrant options, artisan cheeses, and seasonal sides. But the star of the show is the meat — and the Picanha is to die for. Tender, juicy, full of flavor, and served exactly the way it should be. Every skewer that hits your table is hot, fresh, and satisfying. Service is another major highlight. Lucas is especially gracious — welcoming, attentive, and always making you feel like a VIP without being over the top. The entire team has that warm, family-style hospitality that keeps you coming back. The restaurant is spotless, the vibe is elegant yet casual, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable — especially for the quality and experience you’re getting. Bottom line: if you want an unforgettable dinner with top-tier food, great service, and a front-row seat to one of California’s best sunsets, Fogo de Chão Santa Monica is the only name you need to know.

Google
Andreano - waiter was very attentive and fun to talk to. The team was good. Not so fond of the hostess, they're just there. Food.. the meats were a bit dry unless you ask specifically for what type you want. I've been to the El Segundo location and I enjoy the ambience there. However, the live music was nice and I enjoyed it. The view is great! I'd give this 3.5-4.. And 5 to Andreano, come seat in his section!

Fogo deI stopped by Fogo de Chão Santa Monica on my own, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable solo dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel completely welcome and comfortable. They were attentive, polite, and genuinely kind, checking in just enough without being overbearing — which made the evening feel warm and personal. The ribeye was absolutely perfect — juicy, tender, and full of flavor with that signature smoky char. You can tell the chefs know exactly what they’re doing. Each bite was rich and satisfying, cooked just the way I like it. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause and just appreciate great cooking. Their happy hour deal was another pleasant surprise — 50% off South American wines that are already excellent on their own. I enjoyed a glass that paired beautifully with the steak, and the staff even made a few thoughtful recommendations that were spot-on. The ambiance was relaxed yet upscale, with a nice buzz of energy but never too loud or crowded. Even though I was dining alone, I never once felt out of place — just comfortable and content, enjoying great food and great service in a beautiful setting. Overall, Fogo de Chão Santa Monica impressed me on every level. Between the perfect ribeye, amazing wine deal, and outstanding service, it’s easily a five-star experience. Whether you’re with a group or dining solo, this place makes you feel taken care of. I’ll definitely be back!

I was very well taken care of by Mateus at the steakhouse! He was extremely polite, attentive, and kind throughout the entire service. A true professional who made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back many times — not only for the food but also for the outstanding service. Well done!

Yelp
The food was awesome. The service was awesome , can't believe I got this for six bucks , can't wait to try the other locations when I'm traveling around

Yelp
My server, Charlotte, was an absolute joy. She was very informative and funny. She was also very celebratory over the celebrations we were celebrating. I really liked Charlotte.

Yelp
First time going, my wife and I went for lunch. I had the "Full Churrasco" experience and my wife had the "Market Table & Feijoada Bar" with Picanha meat choice. The market table had plenty of items, all fresh and delicious (of what I had, I saved most of my appetite for meat and dessert.. ;-) ). The black bean and sausage soup was delicious, too (didn't try the lentil, this time). Added the available white rice to it, as well. (Oh and the Brazilian cheese bread is great, too. All of the staff were super nice (see below) and the meats that came out were cooked perfectly with the right savory flavor. My favorites among all of them were the top-sirloin, the lamb and tied for second, the Picanha and the pork. For dessert, I had the Chocolate Brigadeiro which was amazing, but I highly recommend your warm beverage of choice to go with it as it's rich, but very difficult to not want to finish (and I did ;-) ). My wife got the Crème Brûlée which, she said, was the perfect top to creme ratio. Also, as a nice touch, since they heard it was her birthday, they had "Happy Birthday" and her name written in vanilla icing at the top of the plate. We went in on a Tuesday afternoon and the place was not crowded and the interior is definitely fancy, but we saw plenty of people not in polos or "nice dress" attire. ;-) The staff were all super nice.. naming them here, because 1. Why not? 2. I told them I would and 3. It doesn't hurt to amuse them by saying, "Oh, I saw you mentioned in yelp!". :-D Kelvin, Lucas, Peter, J.J. and the General Manager, Stephanie. :-) Everyone was very nice, helpful and attentive to us and it was nice to have that experience to go with the excellent food and decor. OH.. also, there's a public parking place just "around the corner"/down the road from where they are, so you can get walking-distance parking.

Yelp
This experience was quite the failure I was excited at first because I learned that they had an à la carte option versus a buffet. I mean, the salad bar lunchtime buffet I think was under 20 bucks but I would just prefer to order one entrée and take home my leftovers even if it cost me a little bit more There was happy hour, and I ordered a cocktail off the happy hour me and you and it was nice. I also ordered the burger. I ordered it to be cooked medium. It came out, medium rare if not closer to rare whatever I didn't complain. My friend ordered her food soon after I had started on mine she ordered her burger, medium rare, and I showed her what mine looked as medium. She said she liked her burger to be cooked exactly the way mine was so she ordered it medium. Hers came out well done. She cared enough to say something and they just couldn't comprehend. They asked her if she wanted a new Burger so of course she said yes, but the interaction was so bizarre as if they had no idea what to do and they couldn't understand why our burgers were not cooked correctly. He said maybe they mixed them up or like no we ordered 30 minutes apart from each other all our drink orders took forever to come out. I honestly would never come back here. I think this was a great concept when her first came out and now it's just too expensive and with the lack of good staff there was no point of coming back other than the pretty view of Santa Monica pier

Yelp
Over the years I've visited many different links in the Fogo de Chao chain, and this one turned out to be every bit as I expected it to be :-) It's a good place to bring family, friends, or both to enjoying a filling and tasty meal. Tip: The noise-level inside is surprisingly low, even when the venue starts to fill up For starters, we enjoyed the salad bar. We also enjoyed the complimentary bread and mashed potatoes they brought after we were seated. Then we flipped our card from red to green and the meat started coming. From chicken, to pork, to steak and more, there's a very wide variety of types and cuts offered. If you don't see what you want after a few minutes, ask and they'll bring it if they've got it. Service is very attentive, and we never found ourselves waiting too long for anything.

Yelp
Definitely a must try for everyone when visiting Santa Monica.. I got a burger and I think Yuca fries for only $10, I wanted to order more but I was super full. PLUs..the place looks beautiful, almost unbeatable restaurant scenery!! And it over looks the Santa Monica Pier!! Definitely coming back for their all you can eat marvelous meats!! FYI They don't accept Apple Pay..

Yelp
I have been to several Fogo de Chao steakhouses in different locations. I have to say, this is the most scenic location. When you sit in the patio, you face the famous Santa Monica Pier sign and can almost see the beach. You can definitely enjoy people-watching when you sit outside. Service was excellent! The servers including the manager kept coming by to check up on us. I wish I had gotten all of their names. The evening I went, the special meat was the pork belly with honey. That was mouth-watering. The pork was perfectly cooked and the flavors were both savory and sweet. I also love their salad, fruits, vegetables and soup bar. I love the papaya they offer, all the grilled vegetables, hummus and more. Overall, it was a treat!

Yelp
First at this location. Honestly didn't even know there was one in Santa Monica till some friends mentioned it. Stopped by for lunch and also found out that happy hour was all day. Compared to the other locations, this one is right across the street from Santa Monica pier. Good location, close to the beach and shopping. It's not as big as the others though. Lunch time on a Friday, it wasn't that busy when we arrived. But did fill up when we left. Check in was easy, as they take your number which our information was already in from other location. Got seated on the patio which was perfect. Nice day out, good view of everyone walking by. Inside was nice but it was to bare as it was still pretty quiet. We opted for the salad bar instead of the Brazilian experience. For lunch, the deal was great. 18.99 for the salad bar which also comes with the sides of cheese bread and other sides. Same as if you were having the all you can eat meat. We also ordered some of the happy hour specials and drinks. I don't know if the lunch bar is different to dinner but what they had was quite nice. You have the salad options, there was fruit, chicken salad, potatoes salad. Also the charcuterie board area, soup and can't miss the maple bacon. Choices were good which was also worth the deal. Knowing that you could just have the salad bar alone was great for lunch. And that happy hour was all day, even better. Service was really good. All the staff were excellent. Location wise for this property was great. Nora's big as the other location but was really nice. Would definitely be back.

Yelp
Just want to give a 10/10 on my old fashioned , haven't try the food yet since today was my first time trying their drinks, old fashion is my drink and from all the places that I've been having it I gotta say Fogo de chao at Santa Monica is been the best , you can feel the sweetness , the smell the alcohol from the drink . Eveything on point

Yelp
Went here on a Monday and had a terrible experience. The cheese bread tasted like pure oil. The meat didn't come around often at all and everything was way too overcooked. The garlic steak was not edible and overall the meat was very tough, fatty, and chewy. Our waiter also never game around to check on us. No one was attentive at all. So expensive and felt like a complete waste of money.

Yelp
Went to dine here at fogo de chao September 30th! It was a beautiful evening and Romair gave us the best service ever! He was very attentive and was super nice and on it! Julian as-well was super fast and gave us every single meat and asked us for every request, we love him! Thank you to the manager Logan, very nice guy and we loved talking with you! We hope you go far! Again thank you Romair for being such a great server! We love coming here! Obrigado! It looked super clean and nice inside, I highly recommend coming here!

Yelp
BEST Fogo location in LA by far! The outdoor/indoor seating is perfect for beach side people watching hehe. Service here was on point. We got the surf and turf so we got to try their lobster tail. YUM! Salad bar was so good too. I love eating my meats with fruit and they had plenty of that on the bar. The variety of items was 10/10 and very well stocked.

Yelp
If you've never experienced a Brazilian Steakhouse before, know that it's a buffet-style service when servers bring different cuts of meat by your table for you to try. Fogo de Chao has two options for this: a "Best of Brazil" standard option and a premium options that's roughly $25/person more, but includes additional, premium cuts of meat. Looking back, I wish I would have opted in for the premium -- most of the pieces of meat I got on the standard package were pretty fatty, and I wish I had pieces of the rib eye, filet, and sirloin that comes with the premium package. I'd give the standard option a 3/5 stars for flavor and value. What impressed me was how attentive the staff were -- many, many servers stopped by to see if we needed anything or if there were certain cuts of meats we were waiting for. The service took Fogo de Chao up a star in my book. If I returned, I'd go for the premium option, but it's not often I want to spend $100/person to dine.

Yelp
I had the most amazing experience at Fogo. We arrived at a great time for dinner. We were seated and began our Brazilian Steakhouse experience. The market table had delicious fresh fruit, salads, cheese, etc. Across from the market table, was a hot bar with soup and beans, yum. Service was excellent, from seating, to selection of cuts, clearing our table, making sure we had what we needed... everything was perfect. The ambiance was beautiful, modern, sleek, blue, woody, great lighting, in a trendy upscale setting. The bar is gorgeous, with great views. Notable mentions: Picanha Lamb Queijo Coalho Mixed field greens with mint Pineapple Crème Brûlée cheesecake

Yelp
Gorgeous new space just opened in April 2025 at the most prime corner of Ocean Ave facing the pier entrance. They place will be very busy with tourist and locals alike. They do have valet convenitely located right in front of the restaurant. They have all day happy hour - $5 beef, $8 wines etc The patio is completed insulated and glass view of ocean ave and the pacific ocean sunset as well. They have a huge full size bar here along with two dry aging meat lockers and two private dining rooms for events/reservations. The meat grilling is also for display here for everyone to see which is great as some locations you cannot see it like the beverly hills. It is a new location so everything looks extremely modern from the decor, lighting, materials etc Service here is wonderful, fast, all temperatures and presentation are as you expect from Fogo. There are brunch options which include omellete, waffles, etc options too There is free 90 minute parking at the santa monica public lots just two streets away.

Yelp
If you haven't been to Fogo de Chão yet, now's the perfect time! I checked out their new Santa Monica location, this is the 4th location I have visited and it continues to never disappoint. So excited there's finally a Westside spot that is just minutes from the beach! If you're familiar with the area, it's located right on Ocean Avenue, making it a prime dining destination with incredible views and vibes. I stopped by around 12:30pm for their brunch selection, which includes the Market Table (buffet-style) and a wide variety of fire-roasted meats. Since I don't eat red meat, I opted for the Frango (Chicken), warm Pão de Queijo (Cheese Bread), Crispy Polenta, Mashed Potatoes, and Caramelized Bananas, which are all fantastic. The Market Table was overflowing with delicious items like fresh seasonal salads, exotic veggies, aged cheeses, cured meats, seasonal soups, made-to-order omelets, Belgian waffles, and more. I paired my meal with a refreshing Brazilian Limonada, which is honestly magical. The food was flavorful, the service was top-notch, and the overall experience was so much fun. Tips: -Check the website as each one seems to have varied prices based on location -Park in Lot 8 for free 90 minute parking and a 4 minute walk to the restaurant

Yelp
Terrible food. Terrible service. Ambiance is nice. Food came cold. Tomahawk was cold. We had two waiters and both were super unfriendly and looked like they didn't want to be there. Will still left a 25% tip but won't return. Desserts were also very bad. Papaya cream had all of us run to the restroom. Very bad experience. The Beverly Hills location is a different level.

arianna j.

Yelp
Our server was, Dez. He was the coolest and nicest server. Overall, our experience here was great (we did their churrasco) . Everyone was so accommodating to us (myself and boyfriend). The food was also perfect and there were a lot of different choices to choose from, whether it came to the meats or the market table. The ambiance was perfect. Perfect for a date night or special occasion. It is very intimate compared to another Fogo location we've been to. Santa Monica is definitely our favorite Fogo location!

Yelp
Great food and service. Wait staff was attentive and no long waiting for food. The view of the SM pier area is a great bonus.

Yelp
Came here this past weekend for the first time. We have been to several different locations. This one is a little bit smaller, but was still good. Charles was our server and he was a very friendly and attentive. You can't beat the views at this location. And the lunch price is always worth it!!

Yelp
Lunching with my BF son on Father's Day. He's a young fella who will get his money's worth! For Father's Day, there is the Indulgent Currasco, pre fix, that includes lobster tail or jumbo crab cake and a dessert. I'm all in for lobster and nephew had a crab cake. Key Lime pie was bomb! Servers and the entire staff all were superb and very kind!

Yelp
What are the odds that the same person who gave me the most amazing service on my first visit would be the one to take care of me again? Pretty high at Fogo de Chão, because Romare embodies the kind of genuine energy that makes this place shine. From the warm welcome to the gaucho chefs carving fire-roasted meats tableside, every moment feels special. The lamb (Cordeiro) was hands down my favorite--tender, perfectly seasoned, and full of that authentic Brazilian churrasco flavor. I couldn't get enough! Between the Market Table stacked with fresh cheeses, veggies, and salads, the open-grill ambiance, and service that truly goes above and beyond, Fogo de Chão is more than just dinner--it's a whole experience.

Z N.

Yelp
The good: Nice location, comfy restaurant. Kids under 7 eat free. The not so good: We did the best of Brazil promotion. The meats came out very slowly and we left after waiting too long, and hungry. After that, my husband and I had stomach issues, not full on sick, but not normal.' I really hoped it would be a good pick for us because the location was great, but unfortunately we won't be back.
google avatar

Whitney R.

Yelp
Great food, clean restrooms, excellent service. Arni, Sarah, and Dez made the experience top notch. I can't rave enough about how kind all of the staff members are.

Michelle V.

Yelp
I had such a great experience dining last night! The service was truly exceptional, attentive, friendly, and miles better than what I've experienced at the El Segundo location. The servers came around frequently, the meats were perfectly cooked, and they made sure our table always had fresh sides. Everything felt smooth, welcoming, and the servers actually cared about us getting fresh meats. I'll definitely come back to this location.

Yelp
I came in for happy hour and had a wonderful experience. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. I always order the lamb chops whenever I visit any location, and they were exceptional -- perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, fresh, and full of flavor. Truly one of the best every time. I also tried the Caipirinha, which was refreshing and well-balanced, along with the cheese balls that were crispy on the outside and perfectly cheesy on the inside. Everything was prepared beautifully and tasted amazing. The location itself is fantastic. It's right in the heart of Santa Monica, and you can look out the window and enjoy a stunning view of the beach while dining. It's such a great atmosphere -- a perfect combination of great food, great service, and beautiful surroundings. I will absolutely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday with a reservation and the place was really hot, which I didn't like. The meats were a little dry for me and the salad bar lettuce too wilted. Overall, I liked the taste of the meats and the service was pretty good. The ambiance was nice I just wished they would blast some air conditioning.

Yelp
Alright, let's talk Fogo de Chão. I recently hit up the Santa Monica spot, and honestly, it was a completely different ballgame compared to my last rodeo with them a year ago at the Pasadena location. You know, the one where I felt compelled to drop a one-star review because, frankly, the steak was dry and the side dish was just... bland. It was a real letdown, especially when you expect some sort of standard, even if it's not Michelin-starred territory. Fast forward to Santa Monica: The atmosphere? Absolutely on point. Really vibrant and welcoming. The service was top-notch, attentive without being intrusive, which makes a huge difference. And the food, well, it was genuinely pleasant. Not mind-blowing, but certainly miles ahead of that disappointing experience in Pasadena. Everything was cooked well, and the flavors were there. It's a strange thing, having such a wildly different experience within the same chain. It makes you wonder about consistency, doesn't it? But based on this recent visit, Santa Monica is doing something right. This isn't a perfect 5 because "pleasant" isn't "perfection," and that Pasadena memory still stings a bit, but it's a solid showing and a definite rebound from a year ago. It restored some faith, I'll give them that.

Yelp
Came here with my family from Hawaii it was there first time as I'm a vet an other Fogos but this location was amazing by the Pier, service was note worthy shoutout to Charles and Andrew. Loved that the food was fresh as well highly recommend if you have not been to a Fogo de Chao!

Christie S.

Yelp
Food was good as usual, but the service was terrible. We got seated and were given our drinks and that was the last time we were helped. We had finished eating, and we were sitting there for about 40 minutes waiting for someone to approach the table. We had asked for the check and even then took about 20 minutes for someone to pick it up. My boyfriend and I were very disappointed with the service.
google avatar

Sara K.

Yelp
As a member of Fogo and a regular diner here at least twice a month, whether for brunch or dinner, I noticed that this location lacks good customer service. We sat at our table for 15 minutes without anyone asking what we wanted to drink. I had to get up and ask the waiter for drinks. The salad bar was empty, with bare or barely empty bowls and no French bread. We had to constantly request items, refills, and dirty plates sat in front of us. This is not one of the better locations to eat at.

Lorrany P.

Yelp
Terrible service, bland meat. In short, I've never been to such an awful steakhouse. You are bringing shame to the Gaucho culture, terrible quality. My husband, who is from Rio Grande do Sul, was so happy there, but when he saw how bad the food and barbecue were, he left disappointed. Besides that, the guy who served the meat only gave me raw meat. I asked him for what I wanted and he wouldn't give it to me. It was my first time, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, it was awful.
google avatar

Antonio G.

Yelp
Came here for the first time on Mother's Day and this location delivers an exceptional dining experience with its top-notch food and attentive service. The meats are consistently flavorful and cooked to perfection with a fresh and diverse selection that complements the endless churrasco beautifully. The staff is professional, friendly, and ensures you're well taken care of throughout your meal. However, if you're planning to visit with a larger group, be prepared for a potentially long wait--even with a reservation. Parking can also be a bit tricky. There's valet service nearby, but otherwise, your best bet is the large parking structure a short walk away. It offers 1.5 hours free, which is helpful, but any time beyond that comes with a fee--so plan accordingly if you're settling in for a full dining experience. Overall, it's a great place for a high-quality meal, just be mindful of the logistics if you're going with a crowd or staying a while.

Yelp
All Day Happy Hour with a Gorgeous $10 Burger, what more to say! Yes, All Day, Everyday in Santa Monica!!! Welcome this extraordinary, sophisticated, seaside Brazilian restaurant and bar, to town! The food is always fresh and scrumptious (love the fresh, warm cheese balls), the service is unimaginably friendly and attentive (a special thanks to bartender Mert, who makes delicious libations, including the Brazilian caipirinhas, and a personal favorite is the refreshing cucumber-mint Martini. This classy, clean and beautifully renovated restaurant is a welcome escape from the busy Santa Monica Pier touristy crowds. Ample, free 90 min parking in the neighboring downtown Santa Monica public lots. I'm so grateful to Fogo for coming to Santa Monica- I have been to the Beverly Hills location, which is also FAB!

Yelp
So delicious. It's pricey but worth it. Weekend brunch is great. One of the few all you can eat brunch buffets around nowadays. And also if you didn't want to do any meat, the brunch buffet market table. I think is about $20 which is a major steal for all you can eat. The restaurant itself is lovely. Right by the pier. Really nice inside.

Yelp
Now, I am a huge Fogo fan -- I have been to many of their locations, and this new spot of theirs completely raises the bar. Starting with the ambiance, everything is warm and welcoming yet subtle and calming. With a modern, cool-toned interior with nods to Brazilian culture and great acoustics, everything feels more intimate and upscale compared to other locations. Regarding food, everything was as stellar as usual, with a few highlights. For instance, we were given an opportunity to choose and/or request our temperature for every item, and the market table was a U shape rather than oval, contributing to a more organic flow of everything. But perhaps the best of all was the service. Often times, servers can be hard to flag down, but not at this location. Our party was checked in on every few minutes, with requests we had being sent to the kitchen and fulfilled within minutes. Not to mention the utmost professionalism and kindness from everyone involved in our experience. Overall, everything was seamless, and the classic Fogo de Chão experience is brought to new levels in Santa Monica.

Yelp
Amazing, attentive! Shot out to Logan, both Andrew's, and Sarah! Exquisite offerings as usual. The Market Table was fresh, fresh and the freshest! The meats brought out were cadenced perfectly and the temperature of the meat was perfect! It's like they knew my wife and I were coming! I have never been served so quickly. I have been a Fogo enthusiast for over 35 years and come to either the Santa Monica, Beverly Hills or El Segundo location, at least once a month between the three locations. I have a second residence in Sacramento and have dined at the new Roseville location! Super happy with our dining experience this evening at the Santa Monica location and will undoubtedly be back next month! Cheers and thanks to the Assistant Manager Logan for greeting us and making us feel so welcome!

Yelp
Sara is an amazing server. This is by far the best Fogo location, the meat is tastier and the staff really cares about the guests' positive experience.

Yelp
Our reservation was at 8 PM. They seated us in the patio outside and it was freezing, so we asked to move us inside. Then they said it would take 10/15 min, and instead it took 40 min to seat us in another outside area, where it was still freezing. our table was hidden and nobody came for the first 20 minutes until I went complaining. the table was in the worst spot of the whole restaurant. the food itself was good but definitely not worth 90$.

Yelp
Went in to sit at the bar. The service was excellent and the bar menu was great. They have a $10 burger which is an amazing value for the quality! Happy hour drinks at the bar were very reasonable for this area too. I would definitely go back again for that burger and the apps on the bar menu.

Yelp
This was my first time at a Brazilian steakhouse--and my first visit to any Fogo de Chão in the greater Los Angeles area--and I have to say, it quickly became one of my favorite dining experiences in a long time. The location itself is absolutely stunning. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by an incredibly friendly and attentive staff who make you feel welcomed and valued. The ambiance, with its warm candlelight and elegant decor, creates a relaxing atmosphere that truly transports you into a different world. I opted for the unlimited meat service, and it did not disappoint. The "gauchos"--highly trained servers--move from table to table with various cuts of perfectly prepared meats, slicing them with precision and care. Their professionalism and attention to detail are impressive. The salad bar is equally exceptional, beautifully presented with a wide array of fresh fruits, vegetables, and appetizers that cater to every taste. One standout was the handcrafted lemonade--refreshing, unique, and something I'd return for alone. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. At no point did I feel overlooked. The staff is genuinely warm, charismatic, and informative, providing a level of hospitality that enhances the entire experience. Fogo de Chão exceeded all expectations. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Most importantly, I would like to thank Andrea for being our server, and taking care of my whole table.

Yelp
Love the Fogo in Beverly Hills, excellent service there, organized, and most importantly, tasty meat! This new Santa Monica location was a great disappointment. There were over 30 of us tonight: - lack of ventilation in our section once the doors were shut for privacy - disorganized staff that always run out of meat by the time they get around to our table. No one had the bright ideas to serve our table of 6 first next round to make up for it - other tables were on to their 6th meat and we were only served 2nd - had to complain to the staff multiple times before they acknowledged and brought some meat over - every single type of beef were way too salty, one can literally feel every single grain of salt on the meat, never had that experience before - all the beef were dry and tasted like beef jerky - never had filet mignon this tough in my 60 years of life - staff were totally uninformed on what were ordered for our group meeting. When asked what is for dessert, "I don't know" was the answer Will go back to their Beverly Hills location, never again to this one

Yelp
We loved it! The service was amazing, Christoph was very attentive and Greg was popping out of nowhere. The manager lady with a low voice was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. A special shout out to the Brazilian cheese bread- it was beyond delicious! And from the drinkers of Arnold Palmer- apparently it's the best in town because of the amount of sugar per glass!! The kids loved it! All in all - what a great experience! We will be back!

Yelp
It pains me to say this because I love Brazilian steakhouses, but this was the worst I've ever had in my entire life. While the ambiance and service were great, the food was below sub-par - every single cut of meat lacked seasoning and had a funky taste. Everything lacked flavor and tasted very bland, and the quality of the meats was very poor. I had a bad experience here the first time, but I gave it another shot, hoping it would be different the second time around. This was unfortunately even worse. Fogo has been consistently inconsistent, and until standards are put in place, I don't see myself coming back again.

Yelp
That's some tasty MEAT! Great food, and service was excellent. Ask for Arnie, and he'll make sure you get everything you're expecting. It was truly delicious.

Yelp
I had an amazing experience at the Brazilian steakhouse! The food was absolutely delicious -- every cut of meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The salad bar and sides perfectly complemented the main dishes. What really made the night special was the service. Andrew was outstanding -- friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. He explained the menu, gave great recommendations, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. I highly recommend this place if you want a great meal and excellent service. We'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Terrible management of reservations and service. We went as a walk-in at 7:30 and was told it was going to be a 30 minute wait - we sign up and then find a reservation online at 7:45 and book it. They tell us we still have to wait and they do not honor the 7:45 reservation. We just made a reservation next door at Meat on Ocean which thankfully they know how to manage their reservations better.

Yelp
We came to Fogo de Chão in Santa Monica to celebrate my birthday with a group of friends, and everything was amazing from start to finish. Huge shoutout to Stephany and Sasha, who absolutely went above and beyond to make our afternoon special. Their hospitality was next level--super friendly, attentive, and just genuinely awesome people. The food was, of course, incredible. They brought our favorite lamb chops right to our table (perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful--SO good). I also ordered a delicious Brazilian beer that paired perfectly with all the meats. Highly recommend if you're looking for something cold and smooth to go with the meal! The Market Table was fresh and colorful, and we loved being able to take our time and enjoy everything at our own pace. Definitely coming back. The food is fantastic. Thanks for making my birthday feel extra special!
