Best Dishes Eater LA Editors Ate This Week: April 14 | Eater LA

"A new Brazilian barbecue outpost with ocean views across from the Santa Monica pier, featuring a wide salad bar that looks into the grill where cooks rotate various cuts of meat like picanha, garlic beef, and lamb. A proper Brazilian barbecue feast should include vinaigrette (chopped tomato and onion salad), farofa (toasted manioc flour), rice, and feijoada (or feijoao — just the stewed beans); while sauteed collard greens are sadly not offered here, the salad bar is still terrific. As with many chains, it tends to show best early on when management and operations are at their tightest." - Eater Staff

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fogo de Chão in Santa Monica is hands-down my favorite spot in the city — and honestly, the only place I trust to consistently deliver great food, service, and value. After getting burned at other Santa Monica restaurants with sky-high prices and forgettable meals, I’ve made it simple: I don’t eat anywhere else. Why risk being ripped off again when I know I’ll leave here full, happy, and relaxed? The location is unbeatable — right on Ocean Avenue with stunning views of the Santa Monica Pier and the Pacific. There’s nothing like sitting down to a perfectly grilled cut of Picanha while the sun sets over the ocean in the background. It’s one of the most relaxing, picture-perfect dinner experiences you can have in L.A. — and way more interesting and inviting than the more formal vibe of the Beverly Hills location. The food speaks for itself. The salad bar is overflowing with fresh, vibrant options, artisan cheeses, and seasonal sides. But the star of the show is the meat — and the Picanha is to die for. Tender, juicy, full of flavor, and served exactly the way it should be. Every skewer that hits your table is hot, fresh, and satisfying. Service is another major highlight. Lucas is especially gracious — welcoming, attentive, and always making you feel like a VIP without being over the top. The entire team has that warm, family-style hospitality that keeps you coming back. The restaurant is spotless, the vibe is elegant yet casual, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable — especially for the quality and experience you’re getting. Bottom line: if you want an unforgettable dinner with top-tier food, great service, and a front-row seat to one of California’s best sunsets, Fogo de Chão Santa Monica is the only name you need to know.

Best Fogo location yet! I have been a huge fan of Fogo for a long time. This is such a fun place for large groups or just a fun night out with friends. We were so excited to see this new location open and in just a beautiful spot! Directly across front the Santa Monica pier, this restaurant offers the perfect sunset views and people watching. The staff were friendly and attentive, and really knew their wine list and menu well. Now the food! The walk up bar was complete with fresh salads, hot soup, grilled veggies, cut fruit, charcuterie, and more! Save room on your plate for their table sides of mashed potatoes, fried polenta, and plantains. My personal favorite is their cheesy popovers! Yum! All the meat were cut table side and everything bite was flame grilled to perfection. We had to try them all, but time and time again the picanha is always my favorite. 🤤 We finished our meal with a crème brûlée for the table. It had a beautiful sugar crust that cracked into the smoothest vanilla cream base. I can not recommend this specific location enough as it feels really upscale and special. Also only a short walk from the pier and arcade, which was the best way to end our night after such a delicious meal.

It's been 10+ yrs since my last visit to a Brazilian BBQ, but this is my first at Fogo de Chão. They've always had the best reputation, so I was glad that FDC opened up in Santa Monica. Great LUNCH special. $54 with all you can eat Full Churrasco including the famous marketplace salad bar. My guests had the salad bar; one paid $12 extra for a choice of 1 meat. But for me, its all about the BBQ meats. I started with a $10 Caipirinha. It was so smooth that I got 2. Not a good idea for lunch, but it was my birthday luncheon. They offer a $15 deluxe Caipirinha which I'll try next time. I restrained myself from eating those amazing cheese balls. Warning: they will take up space in your belly. Save space for the meats. I restrained myself from the marketplace salad bar. Must save space for the meats. From what the others got, it was an amazing spread. One commented that she shouldn't have ordered the extra side of meat. The salad bar was enough. Many gluten free options. No salad bar for me. I get my plate, flip over "meat card" sign to GREEN for go! and wait eagerly for the swordsman with the skewers of meat. Would you like some picanha? YES, medium-rare please! Pre-plan your Brazilian proteins: Picanha (prime part of top sirloin), Fraldinha (bottom sirloin), and Roasted Chicken, Bone-in Ribeye, Filet, Lamb Chops, pork belly with honey and lime, bacon-wrapped goodies, sausages, and more. They provide 3 sauces: chimichurri, spicy red, and a sweet chimichurri for the lamb chops. After 6 or 7 rounds of meat, I forgot the lamb chops. Full. Oh rats, I'll have to come back. And for my birthday, I got their amazing flame toasted cheesecake. Perfect ending. Annette was server ☆☆☆☆☆. Great service overall. I'll be back.

The food and service were amazing! We ordered the Surf & Turf which was fairly priced. The rotation of meats was diverse and perfectly timed. Our waiter, Romare, was so attentive to our needs. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and initially weren’t planning to order dessert. However, he overheard us talking about crème brûlée and brought it out for us, on the house.

Alright, let's talk Fogo de Chão. I recently hit up the Santa Monica spot, and honestly, it was a completely different ballgame compared to my last rodeo with them a year ago at the Pasadena location. You know, the one where I felt compelled to drop a one-star review because, frankly, the steak was dry and the side dish was just… bland. It was a real letdown, especially when you expect some sort of standard, even if it's not Michelin-starred territory. Fast forward to Santa Monica: The atmosphere? Absolutely on point. Really vibrant and welcoming. The service was top-notch, attentive without being intrusive, which makes a huge difference. And the food, well, it was genuinely pleasant. Not mind-blowing, but certainly miles ahead of that disappointing experience in Pasadena. Everything was cooked well, and the flavors were there. It's a strange thing, having such a wildly different experience within the same chain. It makes you wonder about consistency, doesn't it? But based on this recent visit, Santa Monica is doing something right. This isn't a perfect 5 because "pleasant" isn't "perfection," and that Pasadena memory still stings a bit, but it's a solid showing and a definite rebound from a year ago. It restored some faith, I'll give them that.

The food was really good and Romare was a great server. He made sure we were good throughout the dinner. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten here, but I’m leaving very satisfied today. The chocolate molten cake is to die for!! They even put “thank you” on the plate. So cute!

Google
Fantastic experience! The picanha and filet mignon were cooked to perfection, the salad bar fresh and vibrant, and the cheese with honey was unforgettable. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the cheesecake was the perfect sweet ending. Great food, great vibe highly recommend! I can’t wait to come back.

I dined at this restaurant for the first time and ordered the salmon, which was served with asparagus. After 3 PM, it turns out they switch to a dinner-style service that includes access to the buffet. They serve a special Brazilian bread that was incredibly delicious — made with cheese and a type of flour. The texture was so unique that at first, I thought it was made from potatoes! The buffet had a great variety. I didn’t eat any meat, but the concept of the restaurant is really interesting — you sit at your table, help yourself to the salad bar, and then servers come around offering freshly grilled meats and chicken right to your table. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Yelp
Dined at Fogo in Santa Monica for Sunday brunch. I had the best server, Charles and a lovely experience. I would recommend to anyone. Thanks fogo

Yelp
Thank you so much the food was amazing and Greg was amazing. He made sure we were good many times and was so kind.

Yelp
I had the most amazing experience at Fogo. We arrived at a great time for dinner. We were seated and began our Brazilian Steakhouse experience. The market table had delicious fresh fruit, salads, cheese, etc. Across from the market table, was a hot bar with soup and beans, yum. Service was excellent, from seating, to selection of cuts, clearing our table, making sure we had what we needed... everything was perfect. The ambiance was beautiful, modern, sleek, blue, woody, great lighting, in a trendy upscale setting. The bar is gorgeous, with great views. Notable mentions: Picanha Lamb Queijo Coalho Mixed field greens with mint Pineapple Crème Brûlée cheesecake

Yelp
Went here on a Monday and had a terrible experience. The cheese bread tasted like pure oil. The meat didn't come around often at all and everything was way too overcooked. The garlic steak was not edible and overall the meat was very tough, fatty, and chewy. Our waiter also never game around to check on us. No one was attentive at all. So expensive and felt like a complete waste of money.

Yelp
So I have been here 3 times now: weekend evening, weekday evening, and weekend brunch (or what I thought would be brunch). Came here very early after they opened and because of their team service sometimes you have lots of people asking how you are and what you need and then when you need someone it's hard to find them. I love their happy hour menu (available all day everyday). The cheese with honey was delicious, the wings great, the filet mignon board with chimichurri. I would say everything was great except the burger, it just lacked any sort of seasoning. We also did the churasco experience for brunch (apparently dinner starts at 3 but they were nice enough to honor a brunch card we had been given in weeks prior). The market table alone is fabulous. So many good sides and healthy options. All the meats were great, honestly wish I could have eaten more. I like the enclosed patio for the sunlight but it can get very stuffy and warm if they don't have the windows open. I've been here when they've had a musician playing and he wanted it closed for sound but it was almost unbearable. They were very kind in accommodating changes for us though. Pros: people watching and food options. Cons: still working out service kinks in a new restaurant, If you're in the are it's a great stop in and you can get a lot or a little food and some good drinks and the people watching across from the pier is great.

Yelp
BEST Fogo location in LA by far! The outdoor/indoor seating is perfect for beach side people watching hehe. Service here was on point. We got the surf and turf so we got to try their lobster tail. YUM! Salad bar was so good too. I love eating my meats with fruit and they had plenty of that on the bar. The variety of items was 10/10 and very well stocked.

Yelp
First at this location. Honestly didn't even know there was one in Santa Monica till some friends mentioned it. Stopped by for lunch and also found out that happy hour was all day. Compared to the other locations, this one is right across the street from Santa Monica pier. Good location, close to the beach and shopping. It's not as big as the others though. Lunch time on a Friday, it wasn't that busy when we arrived. But did fill up when we left. Check in was easy, as they take your number which our information was already in from other location. Got seated on the patio which was perfect. Nice day out, good view of everyone walking by. Inside was nice but it was to bare as it was still pretty quiet. We opted for the salad bar instead of the Brazilian experience. For lunch, the deal was great. 18.99 for the salad bar which also comes with the sides of cheese bread and other sides. Same as if you were having the all you can eat meat. We also ordered some of the happy hour specials and drinks. I don't know if the lunch bar is different to dinner but what they had was quite nice. You have the salad options, there was fruit, chicken salad, potatoes salad. Also the charcuterie board area, soup and can't miss the maple bacon. Choices were good which was also worth the deal. Knowing that you could just have the salad bar alone was great for lunch. And that happy hour was all day, even better. Service was really good. All the staff were excellent. Location wise for this property was great. Nora's big as the other location but was really nice. Would definitely be back.

Yelp
If you've never experienced a Brazilian Steakhouse before, know that it's a buffet-style service when servers bring different cuts of meat by your table for you to try. Fogo de Chao has two options for this: a "Best of Brazil" standard option and a premium options that's roughly $25/person more, but includes additional, premium cuts of meat. Looking back, I wish I would have opted in for the premium -- most of the pieces of meat I got on the standard package were pretty fatty, and I wish I had pieces of the rib eye, filet, and sirloin that comes with the premium package. I'd give the standard option a 3/5 stars for flavor and value. What impressed me was how attentive the staff were -- many, many servers stopped by to see if we needed anything or if there were certain cuts of meats we were waiting for. The service took Fogo de Chao up a star in my book. If I returned, I'd go for the premium option, but it's not often I want to spend $100/person to dine.

Yelp
Gorgeous new space just opened in April 2025 at the most prime corner of Ocean Ave facing the pier entrance. They place will be very busy with tourist and locals alike. They do have valet convenitely located right in front of the restaurant. They have all day happy hour - $5 beef, $8 wines etc The patio is completed insulated and glass view of ocean ave and the pacific ocean sunset as well. They have a huge full size bar here along with two dry aging meat lockers and two private dining rooms for events/reservations. The meat grilling is also for display here for everyone to see which is great as some locations you cannot see it like the beverly hills. It is a new location so everything looks extremely modern from the decor, lighting, materials etc Service here is wonderful, fast, all temperatures and presentation are as you expect from Fogo. There are brunch options which include omellete, waffles, etc options too There is free 90 minute parking at the santa monica public lots just two streets away.

Yelp
If you haven't been to Fogo de Chão yet, now's the perfect time! I checked out their new Santa Monica location, this is the 4th location I have visited and it continues to never disappoint. So excited there's finally a Westside spot that is just minutes from the beach! If you're familiar with the area, it's located right on Ocean Avenue, making it a prime dining destination with incredible views and vibes. I stopped by around 12:30pm for their brunch selection, which includes the Market Table (buffet-style) and a wide variety of fire-roasted meats. Since I don't eat red meat, I opted for the Frango (Chicken), warm Pão de Queijo (Cheese Bread), Crispy Polenta, Mashed Potatoes, and Caramelized Bananas, which are all fantastic. The Market Table was overflowing with delicious items like fresh seasonal salads, exotic veggies, aged cheeses, cured meats, seasonal soups, made-to-order omelets, Belgian waffles, and more. I paired my meal with a refreshing Brazilian Limonada, which is honestly magical. The food was flavorful, the service was top-notch, and the overall experience was so much fun. Tips: -Check the website as each one seems to have varied prices based on location -Park in Lot 8 for free 90 minute parking and a 4 minute walk to the restaurant

Yelp
I came in for happy hour and had a wonderful experience. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. I always order the lamb chops whenever I visit any location, and they were exceptional -- perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, fresh, and full of flavor. Truly one of the best every time. I also tried the Caipirinha, which was refreshing and well-balanced, along with the cheese balls that were crispy on the outside and perfectly cheesy on the inside. Everything was prepared beautifully and tasted amazing. The location itself is fantastic. It's right in the heart of Santa Monica, and you can look out the window and enjoy a stunning view of the beach while dining. It's such a great atmosphere -- a perfect combination of great food, great service, and beautiful surroundings. I will absolutely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

Yelp
Lunching with my BF son on Father's Day. He's a young fella who will get his money's worth! For Father's Day, there is the Indulgent Currasco, pre fix, that includes lobster tail or jumbo crab cake and a dessert. I'm all in for lobster and nephew had a crab cake. Key Lime pie was bomb! Servers and the entire staff all were superb and very kind!

Yelp
Went in to sit at the bar. The service was excellent and the bar menu was great. They have a $10 burger which is an amazing value for the quality! Happy hour drinks at the bar were very reasonable for this area too. I would definitely go back again for that burger and the apps on the bar menu.

Yelp
Love the Fogo in Beverly Hills, excellent service there, organized, and most importantly, tasty meat! This new Santa Monica location was a great disappointment. There were over 30 of us tonight: - lack of ventilation in our section once the doors were shut for privacy - disorganized staff that always run out of meat by the time they get around to our table. No one had the bright ideas to serve our table of 6 first next round to make up for it - other tables were on to their 6th meat and we were only served 2nd - had to complain to the staff multiple times before they acknowledged and brought some meat over - every single type of beef were way too salty, one can literally feel every single grain of salt on the meat, never had that experience before - all the beef were dry and tasted like beef jerky - never had filet mignon this tough in my 60 years of life - staff were totally uninformed on what were ordered for our group meeting. When asked what is for dessert, "I don't know" was the answer Will go back to their Beverly Hills location, never again to this one

Yelp
Came here for the first time on Mother's Day and this location delivers an exceptional dining experience with its top-notch food and attentive service. The meats are consistently flavorful and cooked to perfection with a fresh and diverse selection that complements the endless churrasco beautifully. The staff is professional, friendly, and ensures you're well taken care of throughout your meal. However, if you're planning to visit with a larger group, be prepared for a potentially long wait--even with a reservation. Parking can also be a bit tricky. There's valet service nearby, but otherwise, your best bet is the large parking structure a short walk away. It offers 1.5 hours free, which is helpful, but any time beyond that comes with a fee--so plan accordingly if you're settling in for a full dining experience. Overall, it's a great place for a high-quality meal, just be mindful of the logistics if you're going with a crowd or staying a while.

Yelp
Now, I am a huge Fogo fan -- I have been to many of their locations, and this new spot of theirs completely raises the bar. Starting with the ambiance, everything is warm and welcoming yet subtle and calming. With a modern, cool-toned interior with nods to Brazilian culture and great acoustics, everything feels more intimate and upscale compared to other locations. Regarding food, everything was as stellar as usual, with a few highlights. For instance, we were given an opportunity to choose and/or request our temperature for every item, and the market table was a U shape rather than oval, contributing to a more organic flow of everything. But perhaps the best of all was the service. Often times, servers can be hard to flag down, but not at this location. Our party was checked in on every few minutes, with requests we had being sent to the kitchen and fulfilled within minutes. Not to mention the utmost professionalism and kindness from everyone involved in our experience. Overall, everything was seamless, and the classic Fogo de Chão experience is brought to new levels in Santa Monica.

Yelp
All Day Happy Hour with a Gorgeous $10 Burger, what more to say! Yes, All Day, Everyday in Santa Monica!!! Welcome this extraordinary, sophisticated, seaside Brazilian restaurant and bar, to town! The food is always fresh and scrumptious (love the fresh, warm cheese balls), the service is unimaginably friendly and attentive (a special thanks to bartender Mert, who makes delicious libations, including the Brazilian caipirinhas, and a personal favorite is the refreshing cucumber-mint Martini. This classy, clean and beautifully renovated restaurant is a welcome escape from the busy Santa Monica Pier touristy crowds. Ample, free 90 min parking in the neighboring downtown Santa Monica public lots. I'm so grateful to Fogo for coming to Santa Monica- I have been to the Beverly Hills location, which is also FAB!

Yelp
Terrible management of reservations and service. We went as a walk-in at 7:30 and was told it was going to be a 30 minute wait - we sign up and then find a reservation online at 7:45 and book it. They tell us we still have to wait and they do not honor the 7:45 reservation. We just made a reservation next door at Meat on Ocean which thankfully they know how to manage their reservations better.

Yelp
This was my first time at a Brazilian steakhouse--and my first visit to any Fogo de Chão in the greater Los Angeles area--and I have to say, it quickly became one of my favorite dining experiences in a long time. The location itself is absolutely stunning. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by an incredibly friendly and attentive staff who make you feel welcomed and valued. The ambiance, with its warm candlelight and elegant decor, creates a relaxing atmosphere that truly transports you into a different world. I opted for the unlimited meat service, and it did not disappoint. The "gauchos"--highly trained servers--move from table to table with various cuts of perfectly prepared meats, slicing them with precision and care. Their professionalism and attention to detail are impressive. The salad bar is equally exceptional, beautifully presented with a wide array of fresh fruits, vegetables, and appetizers that cater to every taste. One standout was the handcrafted lemonade--refreshing, unique, and something I'd return for alone. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. At no point did I feel overlooked. The staff is genuinely warm, charismatic, and informative, providing a level of hospitality that enhances the entire experience. Fogo de Chão exceeded all expectations. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Most importantly, I would like to thank Andrea for being our server, and taking care of my whole table.

Yelp
Hubby & I went tonight for our wedding anniversary and we had the best service. Sarah and Sofia were beyond amazing. They checked in often and made sure our evening was great and that we had everything we needed. Just based on their service I will be coming back to this location. Thank you both!

John K.

Yelp
To the tall guy who calimed to be the owner of the Pacific Catch in Santa Monica and refused to give us his name. Why were you afraid to give us your name and disappeared and rushed to the kitchen. You don't know how to treat guests and you are very rude and racist. There are plenty of great restaurants to choose from in Santa Monica so don't act like you own the best place.

Yelp
We loved it! The service was amazing, Christoph was very attentive and Greg was popping out of nowhere. The manager lady with a low voice was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. A special shout out to the Brazilian cheese bread- it was beyond delicious! And from the drinkers of Arnold Palmer- apparently it's the best in town because of the amount of sugar per glass!! The kids loved it! All in all - what a great experience! We will be back!

Yelp
Wow--what an incredible experience! First off, major shoutout to Jennifer, the General Manager, and Romer, our amazing host and server. From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and just what you'd hope for in Santa Monica. I was lucky enough to check out their soft opening training experience, and let me tell you--I'll definitely be back (and next time, I'm bringing friends!). I was seated right away with a gorgeous view of the Santa Monica Pier--absolutely stunning. Started off with sparkling water and lime--simple and refreshing. And yes, happy hour all day--how awesome is that? They brought out fresh, warm bread while I waited for the main course, and it was a perfect little snack. Now... the food. I went with the churrasco experience, and it was next-level good. It's a constant rotation of meats--steak, pork, chicken--cooked to perfection, from well-done to medium. Every bite was flavorful and juicy. There's also a buffet-style spread with everything from meats and cheeses to fruits and veggies--seriously, something for everyone. I finished with a crème brûlée that might be the best I've ever had--smooth, creamy, with that perfect crisp top. Came here to celebrate a birthday with a friend, and the whole evening was flawless. The service, the food, the ambiance--it all came together to make it truly special. Highly recommend. Santa Monica's got a new gem

Yelp
ad high hopes for Fogo de Chão in Santa Monica, but unfortunately, our visit was a major letdown from the start. We were first seated in a spot where the sun was absolutely brutal. It was so uncomfortable we had to ask to be moved -- they really need better sun shades or more thoughtful seating arrangements for afternoon diners. After moving, things somehow got worse. Once we changed seats, it felt like we were forgotten. We didn't see a server for an unreasonably long time, and we were placed right behind two large families who seemed to get all the attention from the gauchos. By the time the meat got to us -- if it did at all -- there was barely anything left. We asked for lamb three times and it never came. The dining area was packed way too tightly, making the whole place feel chaotic and cramped. To top it off, there was a baby crying almost nonstop nearby. Not the restaurant's fault necessarily, but combined with everything else, it made for a very unpleasant atmosphere. Overall, we spent way too much time waiting, not eating, and feeling completely overlooked. Definitely not the premium experience they advertise -- especially for the price. Won't be coming back.

Isaias R.

Yelp
Romare gave us incredible service! Will be coming back, we also tried the strawberry hibiscus caipirinha and the pineapple lemonade and it was delicious

Yelp
We came to Fogo de Chão Santa Monica to celebrate a birthday, and the food was truly excellent. The gaucho chefs carving meats were outstanding -- warm, attentive, and consistently checked in to offer a great variety. That said, service outside the meat experience could use some attention. Our drinks took quite a while to arrive, and dessert was delayed enough that it took away from the momentum of the celebration. This location has so much potential -- the atmosphere is great and the core dining experience is solid. With a bit more coordination on drinks and desserts, it could easily become a top-tier special occasion spot.

Yelp
Came here last night around 7:10pm with some friends to celebrate my graduation as well as my friend's birthday. The service was bad. We had to asked our server as well as different servers for the cheese bread multiple times because they didn't deliver it to our table. On top of that, someone randomly picked up the first bill that was given to me, it had my credit card in it and then, I was given the same bill when I told the server that I already paid it. It took them ten minutes to find the bill with my card so once I got it, we just left. Overall, it was a horrible experience, horrible service and I do not recommend coming here for dinner nor to this restaurant. It made my night one of the worst nights ever.

Yelp
Don't typically write reviews but the service + food were atrocious. Not sure if we came at a bad time but everyone here looked like they did not want to be there and left feeling almost sick from the meat quality

Yelp
Our amazing server Greg went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. For example, he asked if we had any requests for meat and the food came out in seconds. He made my wife's birthday dinner one to remember! Great service, great food, and an amazing ambiance.

Yelp
We had the best experience again Andrew was amazing and had us laughing the whole time. Isaac, Evan and Giselle were very polite and made our experience even better. we will definitely be coming back again and again. If you have a chance, make sure you order the grilled pineapple "fire". The bartender Lisa knows how to make an old-fashioned made my night! Thank you for knocking it out the park. Beverly Hills has competition for the number one in the west side. I vote SM location.

Yelp
Did not get our bread, side of french fries, pineapple is made to order, waiters took too long for refills, order placement, receiving food took too long. I expressed my concerns to shift manager and stated he'll check on the order requested more than 15 minutes previous. Failed at tourist attraction service.

Yelp
Wow what a great time. Came by on my day off and sat at the bar to watch the dodgers game. Great service from Alejandro, at the bar made an old fashion that'll blow you away. Great vibes, great hospitality - the filet mignon was to die for! Will definitely be back for more highly recommended

Yelp
Another wonderful lunch experience today. Thank you for the hospitality led by the General Manager, Stephany and FOH Manager, Logan.

Yelp
This was a really delicious meal, but I would probably rate the experience 3.5 stars. We did mention we were first timers, but it wasn't until almost half-way through our meal that we were offered sauces or sides(which we didn't really know were available, so we were just eating our meat alone). Once the sauces arrived, the chimichurri changed everything. It elevated the flavor so much and made the rest of my meal sooo much better. Most of the meats were really tasty, only the bacon-wrapped meats and the Parmesan-crusted I found to be really tough and somewhat dry. The grilled cheese with honey was amazing. And the pork belly with honey and lime had incredible flavor, though I wish it had more of a char to it. The salad bar was a little underwhelming... not really my thing. Everything was fresh, but other than salad and pineapple, nothing else appealed to me. BUT I do have to mention the candied bacon was INCREDIBLE! What was mostly disappointing was the service. In the beginning, we had a really nice woman taking our order and explaining everything and answering our questions. Then, another man introduced himself and said to ask him if we needed anything, and we didn't really see the woman again at all after that so it almost seemed like he took over, but at the same time, it felt like he didnt feel responsible for our table. The table next to us had constant people taking care of them as if they were in charge of that table, but we had to track down the waiter anytime we needed anything. He would never stop by us when walking by, or he would try to shoot a thumbs up from the other side of the table next to us instead of coming over and asking if we needed anything(we usually did). And again, we never saw our initial waitress again. All of the waiters dropping by meat were very nice and helpful otherwise. It's very nice that they hook it up for your birthday with $25 off(with rewards) and a free dessert. (The cheesecake brulee was INSANELY good with the crunch of the brulee. ) But otherwise, this is a very expensive meal at $75/person. With rewards, there is some specials available which I would probably return to redeem.

Yelp
The food was excellent!! Service was too notch. Daniella's service made our celebration so much more special. We definitely recommend Fogo de Chao and Daniella at the Pasadena location.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. We made a reservation and we waited over 20 minutes once we sat down - no server came up to us so we were forced to fend for ourselves. Every staff member was irritable. When I flagged a manager he also made me wait and begrudgingly helped. I have been to many Fogo and this was not a good experience. I waited about an hour to eat and I was so hungry and no one was helping. Understaffed and poor customer service. If you're craving - go to Beverly Hills. The waiters here are lazy and entitled. I shouldn't have tipped. They literally do not deserve any time as there was no service!!!!

Yelp
To be honest I think this is our favorite interior set up. I loved how the buffet wasn't in the middle but in the middle back. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. Greg was an awesome server who check on is and got us different meat cuts for us. Sarah also would check on us and tag teamed amazingily with the servers. The food was of course amazing and top notch. The desserts were not overly sweet. My friend was so happy with her Birthday dessert

Yelp
Fogo de Chão is great. We were lucky to make last minute reservations after exploring the Getty nearby. We fortunate a beautiful table which has an amazing view of the Santa Monica pier. We did the Taste of Brazil, which is such a great deal. We enjoyed almost all of the dishes, but the picanha stood out. It was delicious. It's something my wife and I truly enjoyed and something worth going back to. The service here is as stellar as it gets. Everyone was attentive and quick. The only caveat here is the parking, but other than that, it is a great place worth every penny.

Yelp
So where do I start... the hostess was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! LOVE HER! however, they gave me a dirty glass and the dishes were dirty and still have crusted food on them. Not just a spec no whole dry pieces. The manager came over after he heard and tried to rectify it, this is why there are getting one out of the two stars. The other star is for the quality of food. I was charged $17 for a well drink, on the receipt it looks like I bought a shots. The waiter was NO WHERE TO BE FOUND after our initial order, it was definitely "where's Waldo" after we finished eating and gave many queues of indicating we were done, 20 minutes or so later he comes. The waiter told us that they moved his section, however there was no communication whatsoever we couldn't order more if we wanted to. Very poor customer service. My husband went to the bathroom at the beginning and end of our restaurant visit to see the same employee in the bathroom on their phone. So nice right! My husband and I frequent fogo de Chão and it is a tradition of ours to go on our wedding anniversary, this location needs a lot of help. This is probably the first or second time in my life that I did not tip and still do not feel reluctant that I did not do so.

Yelp
Just letting you know I never heard back from anyone at your business regarding the issue I had even though you asked me for my phone number so you could call me. Anyway please let me know if the policy ever changes that we can bring dogs to your outside deck. Thank you.

Yelp
We arrived at our appointed reservation time, get warmly greeted by someone who confirmed our reservation - then she disappears and leaves us hanging for 15 minutes while several tables behind us got seated first. Finally one of the other hosts asked us if we were being seated, so we told them we were forgotten, so they proceeded to seat us. Fine... The place is cozy, is much smaller than other locations, no matter -- we're here for the food. The sides were tasty, we opted for the deluxe churrasco with the lobster tail -- decent lobster tail, no complaints here. Same with all the buffet things. But where this place spectacularly fails is THE MEAT!! By far the worst Brazilian churrasco in the westside, and we've tried them all and have our favorites, but the meat seasoning and overall quality is just terrible. I wonder if they have quality managers, because it's just overall bad. That being said, aside from the bad meat and forgetful hostess, the servers were very attentive and deserving of some praise. As locals we won't be returning, but hopefully someone in management who has competitive taste buds can go check out the competition in Culver or Century City and maybe pay attention to the flavor of the meats -- you know, the main attraction...

Yelp
Love the atmosphere and food! It has a beautiful view, and the meat is top quality. Peter was an amazing server.
