Such a cute spot in CLT. I can’t believe I’d never been before. I went on a Wednesday, which happened to be half-off wine, so my bottle was only fifteen dollars. The staff was so sweet, and the atmosphere was calm and inviting. I also loved that they had real flowers throughout the space. I asked about them and learned they have someone who specializes in plants come in to take care of everything, which made the plant lover in me so happy. I tried the trio dip, which was good, though I wish the chips were a bit fresher. The hand tuna roll was solid but nothing standout. The Birria Crunch-adilla, though, was amazing and something I’d definitely get again. I’ll be returning for another wine night soon, and the cocktails looked great.

Folia was super chill and a good vibe. They had a live DJ, which immediately set the tone - music was on point, people were talking, just enjoying the moment. It felt social without being chaotic. I don’t really drink, but even sticking to non-alcoholic options, it was still easy to vibe out and have a good time with friends. Great spot if you’re looking for music, atmosphere, and a relaxed night out.

I visited Folia for the first time to hear the guest DJ. The atmosphere was beautiful. The space is thoughtfully curated and has a really nice, calming vibe. I ordered the Malabar hot tea, and while it sounded promising, it fell flat for me. I didn’t finish jr. It just didn’t live up to the ambiance. As much as I appreciated the aesthetic, the overall experience didn’t leave me wanting to come back. I cannot speak for the food or coffee but did see a lot of unfinished coffee drinks on tables.

We wanted to love this place. The decor, and location were spot on. Drinks were really good, and the food selection was just okay. Customer service was lackluster. Almost seemed like they were too busy hanging out and talking with each other at the end of the bar, rather than checking on our group to see that our drinks were empty. Not sure if we will go back to give it another shot.

I found this cute spot from IG and because of my love for plants immediately wanted to try it. I made reservations on open table which was an easy process and they had same day reservations which was great. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted then taken to our seats. The place is aesthetically pleasing. We were seated in the farthest back area, which was dimly lit and had a nice ambiance. The music was incredibly loud and you can barely hear each other without yelling. A guy came to take our drink order and told us that he was not our waiter because he was getting off but someone else would be helping us later. Which was fine, but the issue is, no one came to help us later and we had to flag a girl from another table to help us. Once we placed our order, everything came quickly. The drinks were really good! We also ordered the wings, which were $12 for 4!! Insane! But I was there for the experience so we tried it and also the trio dip. The dips were all really good..the guacamole was fresh, the queso was queso, and the bean dip was the best. By the time we left, we still did not know who our waitress was but would just flag down whoever was near by to help us. There was one lady who was super helpful and nice so I hope the tip went to her. Overall ok experience. But this is not someplace I will visit again.

My friend and I tried Folia yesterday after seeing the lovely vibes on TikTok. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. However, we ordered the chicken caesar salad and was very surprised by the portion size. The drinks were good and the salad was tasty but for the size and price of everything it doesn’t seem worth it. I would definitely come back for drinks or small plates before heading out somewhere else but I wouldn’t pick this place if you were expecting a divine meal.

The portions are incredibly small. My friend’s cocktail was like 3 oz. Mine was a mocktail & more generous, plus delicious. I actually chuckled when the Caesar salad came out. It might be hard to see proportions in this photo, but if you can envision the size of this bowl, it was like the size of a dessert bowl. It did taste great though! I would recommend to come here for cute pictures with cocktails, but not so much for a dinner. Service was friendly.

I guess the speakeasy didn’t work for this place because when we visited it was a storefront, haha. Too popular too quick, if I had to guess. Drinks were phenomenal! I’m thankful they had a standing area by the bar, so those who didn’t reserve a table could still enjoy the place. The foliage was very well put together, the whole place was just a ✨vibe✨. Service wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t bad either. We had a fun time on a rainy CLT night.

Fantastic experience here tonight. Great service, delicious appetizers and small plates, and delicious cocktails. The atmosphere and vibe was luxe and hip, perfect for a date or to bring your friends.

I'm sooooo happy I finally got to check Folia out for a work meeting last week. It's been on my list for a while now because it looks so beautiful with all their plants. Even walking up from the street you can tell it's a special place. Maybe I'm bias because I LOVE plants so much, but there aren't many places who put this much time into decorating their business with live plants. Once I walked in it was like I was teleported to a mini jungle, it's absolutely beautiful inside!! From the plants, to the bar to the furniture. Just gorgeous! I ended up ordering some tea and a parfait. Both were really good!! The only reason for the 4 star review is that unfortunately they were doing some major repair work in the bathroom, like it literally sounded like jackhammers were going off so I had to take my meeting elsewhere due to the loud noise. But the manager was so kind and apologetic. He brought us a free cinnamon roll and we thought that was super kind. I will definitely be back to really enjoy the scenery and vibes.

Another gem Southside of Charlotte. Was giving first date vibes. Very trendy looking spot. Small but comfy. I would recommend reservations as space is limited and they fill up fast. The service was great. Perfect spot stop in for some good cocktails and small plates before and night event. Tried the BBQ chicken flat bread. It was very good and perfect size for snacking. Washed down with the Pirates Pear cocktail.

Folia was very vibey. It had a dj and played some pretty good music. The place was jumping. This was obviously the place to be. After we were seated in what I thought was a very comfortable sofa area, we ordered what turned out to be pretty good food and drinks. The barbecue flat bread was amazing as well as the ice cream sandwich. I mean my food was crazy good. Definitely my kind of hang out spot.

What a cute and aesthetically pleasing spot! My husband and I dropped in just for drinks and I love the atmosphere of this place. They had a wide variety of drinks and they were good. I saw they also had food and are a part of restaurant week but we did not get any food. Overall a cute cocktail bar and I will def be back when I'm in south end.

Folia is a cute spot with beautiful foliage but the vibe left a little to be desired. The jalapeño Paloma was delicious and birria quesadilla was good but everything else felt ok. The service was quite slow especially since there wasn't very many people there at the time.

Folio is an excellent place to stop for some lite bites and a drink. The ambience, music, and staff are all top notch! I'd recommend as a place to start or end your night!

This is a beautifully decorated place to enjoy a night out with your girls, your boo or a solo outing. You will have to pay for parking and make a reservation to enjoy the ambiance. Make sure you bring ID or you will not get in. I didn't eat here but they have little bits for you to enjoy as well as drinks.

If Eden had a cocktail lounge, it would be Folia. This place is a jungle chic fever dream with leafy greens everywhere and tapas-style bites and indulgent desserts like the Octopus with Aioli and Chocolate Tres Leches Cake. I ordered multiple of their "Smoke After Passion" cocktails (mezcal, passion fruit, lime) which was basically the lovechild of a beach bonfire and a tropical vacation in a glass. Smoky, bright, and absolutely addictive. Also: Shoutout to Stasha, the service angel of this paradise. Get her if you can, she'll guide you through the menu with friendly precision like a sultry cocktail oracle. 10/10 would highly recommend this to everyone looking for an aesthetically pleasing, delicious, fun night out-or even date night!

I attended a bougie brunch with amapiano dj @soundsbysunday on the 1's & 2's ! Now this was the kind of laid back vibes that's right up my alley for the grown & sexy ! Here they serve up signature cocktails along with small plates! Perfect for even date night & or happy hour . I'll be back

Folia is such a fun place to grab a few cocktails before dinner. I do suggest making a reservation especially if you are looking to go on the weekend. Folia was easily accessible from the Bland Street light rail stop. If not taking the light rail or an Uber, parking is not the most easily located. I loved the ambiance and the decor is spot on. From the outside it appears to look just like a plant shop, but behind the door is where the fun begins- speakeasy vibes on point. The inside is set up into a variety of seating options. Bar, two top tables, larger party seating areas, and a seating area in the back. The bathrooms were single and only 2 available, but the inside is very cute as well. As far as the drinks go, I enjoy when there are mocktails offered on the menu. As a non-drinker, I appreciate having drinks that are just as fun and delicious. The only complaint I would have about my drinks was both drinks I wanted were unavailable due to the bar not having the syrups to make the drinks, so the bartender had to make up their own variation for my drinks. Not a huge deal, but also not what I was expecting upon going to a cocktail bar. Overall, I would suggest this place if you are looking for somewhere aesthetically pleasing and trendy.

A Miami oasis of good vibes, delicious small bites, and outstanding cocktails has found its way to SouthEnd and it's going to be the place to be in Charlotte! What you can enjoy: Food menu crafted by chef @tylerjordanlong and a cocktail menu crafted by @bobpeters. MUST-order snack: Octopus -- aji amarillo, espelette, and lime (Incredible!!!!) From the bar, to the patio-like couch seating with water features, and the speakeasy-like lounge seating in the back of the bar, every nook and cranny was perfectly thought out. Come for the well crafted cocktail menu (with non alcoholic options) and stay for the small bites and great service. Pro tip: You can make reservations on Open Table.

Folia is a total gem in South End. The space is beautifully designed and has such a cool, relaxed energy. When golden hour hits, the light pours in just right and makes the whole place feel even more magical. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to linger a little longer. I got the Shisho Unusual cocktail. Hands down the best cocktail I've ever had in my life. It's incredibly well balanced, fresh, and unlike anything I've tasted before. I'm still thinking about it. If you only try one thing, make it that!!! As for the food, the small plates are on the pricey side, but if you're splitting a few things with a friend, though, it would probably be a fine option. The service was great and the vibe was exactly what you want for a night out. Whether you're meeting up with friends or on a date, Folia sets the perfect tone. I'll absolutely be back--mostly for that cocktail.

"I must confess, I'm partial to all things Bob Peters, so I was excited to step into Folia. It took me a minute to find the door, but once inside, the host directed me through the low-key hidden entrance, and the fun began. On the other side, it felt like stepping into something truly unique--so cleverly decorated, with a chill vibe. We weren't shouting over loud music but were able to just enjoy a relaxed conversation. The service was fantastic; our server was great and really helpful in guiding us toward the best food choices. Oh but the cocktails!!! They are the true stars of this event! Overall, a fantastic experience.

First of all let me start with how absolutely cute it is in here!! The ambiance is made for plant lovers. There's just something about live plants that just set the mood & I love the earthy vibe. The bar was a whole vibe too! This was the perfect afternoon dinner spot after having dinner on our anniversary. I was excited to find out they had an espresso martini on the menu bc that was exactly what I wanted. Turns out it was a great choice! It was the perfect amount of espresso and cream with a couple coffee beans as garnish to make it cute! We let them know at the door it was our anniversary and they gave us a table marker that said Happy Anniversary! Overall, a great experience and I'll definitely be back soon!

This was my second time at Folia. Hostess was amazing, super friendly and asked questions about our party. Definitely prefer the seating we had tonight in the main bar area verses the green room. Still awkward to the point where I wouldn't want to order food but set up so it's easier to chat. We stopped in for drinks before dinner. Drinks were really good but a few $ more than other cocktail bars. Service was slow even though it wasn't packed. Maybe she was just having an off night. Overall good experience but I do favor a few other places with just as good of drinks that are cheaper with better service.

This is such a beautiful bar! I'm very excited to go back and try more of the menu. The waitstaff was all super nice and helped make sure drink ingredients were understood and helped explain what certain spirits were like. I'm already planning my next visit with friends!

A plant-themed speakeasy?! Count me in!! It is about time that Charlotte got some more speakeasies! The vibes at this place were immaculate. Great music and a live dj, but they didn't play music so loud that you could carry on conversations. The drink options were tasty, with creative cocktails and good presentation. Attentive servers with great suggestions and knowledge of the menu. I'll definitely be back soon! It's great for a date night or night with friends!

Walked into a beautiful bar ! They have a nice cool atmosphere with great music and nice seating area at the bar, couches and booth type and a back area more kinda private. Really nice decor and wall art. Esthetically it's really pleasing. Sunday early evening we walked in and got seated in a couch between all the foliage. Nice cozy spot. Their menu is pretty nice and varied I like how they split up seasonal drinks and classics and they have beer and wine too. A few bar snacks too. Drinks can be a little pricey I think. But what isn't these days. I went with a mezcal Negroni. Which was nice and pretty basic but $18. With tip and tax it was over $22. My other friends ordered drinks that they told we are out of as they were really busy last night and they batch make those drinks as they are the most popular. Honestly the minute I heard her say batch made I was kinda disappointed a place this nice would charge as much as they do on a batch made drink. Probably not something the servers should go around saying. I usually will not order a batch drink as I'd like my drink to be made when I order it. Especially if I'm paying almost $20. We ended up playing it safe with a G&T, French 75 and a glass of Prosecco. Service was good and like I said the place itself is really nice. Bathrooms spotless. In a nice spot in south end you can walk to easily. Probably a one and done visit for me though.

We went on a Saturday night at around 10:30 and it was a pleasant experience... the ambiance is nice, cozy spot, the music is loud so don't go thinking you can have a conversation but it's nice to have a drink and vibe out. I would say it's best to go with a small party, 4 or less. It was just the two of us but we didn't see where anymore than 4 could sit comfortably together.

The vibes were 10/10 but the cocktails were 6/10. When paying high prices, the drink quality is also expected to be high and that was not our experience. We ordered a classic drink not on the menu and it tasted pretty sweet even though the drink does not have simple syrup in it. The espresso martini had a very thin froth that barely held the beans up. I think it's because it was made with cold brew and not espresso -which would be ok if we were paying $12. I also think that the drinks would look better if they were in better glassware (nick and nora glasses) because the volume doesn't fill their current glasses and it makes you feel like half is missing. Both drinks just tasted pretty average which was surprising for the price. I loved the water fixture and live plants. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful. I will definitely try again and I hope they continue to improve!

Okay going to start with the bad and presume it's because they just opened. My cocktail glass had piece of glass stinking out in it which I noticed while drinking due to it snagging my lip. Very dangerous! I let the server know and they just said sorry but didn't comp my drink or even give me a discount. Service wise I was disappointed in that given if it had cut my lip they would have had a serious problem on their hands! That being said, I had the mango tequila drink and it was really nice. Well balanced and really refreshing. The decor is really cute inside. Definitely a great date night or drinks night place. Music was loud enough to hear but not too loud where you can't have a good conversation. I would be back but just hope the customer service in that sense is a little better.

I had such a great experience here this week! I went after work around 5:30pm on Monday and it wasn't crowded at all! The atmosphere is very vibey/modern and there's plants everywhere which is really cool! They have DELISH espresso martinis as well!! I sat at the bar, bartenders are great and will make you anything off menu if you don't care for their drink menu. It's always a great time here and recently they just opened up during the day as a coffee/bfast shop. At night this place is perfect and intimate with moderately louder music but it's great for date night or hanging out with friends!

One of the newest additions to the Charlotte cocktail scene is Folia, a speakeasy tucked away behind a faux plant shop entrance in South End. Make sure you make a reservation, as this place fills up fast and they don't allow walk ins to stand around the bar without a seat. This helps keep the vibe exclusive and not overly crowded. I've been told the vibe in here closely resembles the cocktail bars you would find in Miami, but I've never been to Miami so I can't confirm. What I can confirm is that the place is gorgeously decorated with lots of plants giving it a tropical garden feel. The service is very attentive and you can tell they really want all of their guests to have a great experience. Their cocktail menu when I went in was pretty small, but they had a good variety of different drinks both your classic cocktails, and their creative inventions. They also were more than happy to create something for you if the menu items aren't enticing you. With the amount of attention to detail they pay to their cocktails, they can take a while to come out. This isn't the type of place to pop in for a quick drink, but a place to gather with friends to relax and enjoy the experience. South End's dominance of nightlife continues!

The establishment is very well decorated and I love the live plants that are hanging from the ceilings. There is a nice craft cocktail menu and the bartenders are pretty friendly. The finger foods are VERY light. You either need to eat before you get there or make plans to eat afterwards as the portions are tiny....not shareable. This is not a place for dinner , but a bar that offer snacks while you drink.

A tropical speakeasy, indeed! Aside from being so cute and clean, the entire space was a vibe. The seating, the bar organization, the plants...amazing! We hosted an event at Folia and it went so well. As we were preparing to order food, the host helped us tremendously and even thoughI had to Google what some items were, my favorite was that Nduja flatbread. So good. Eli served us each with champagne and he was so friendly. We broke a glass and he made sure we didn't do lift a finger. The other host , helped me walk items to my car. Overall, every person in the city should go. I saw couples dating girls getting drinks. Groups connecting. It a great place for that and they have wifi lol

They scammed me on November 7th!!!! I went in there for a couple drinks as I have done in the past. 2 girls said hi to me at the bar and walked to a table. Later, I asked for my check and realized that the bartender had put the 2 girls' drinks in my tab. I never agreed or in any way hinted that I would pay for their drinks. I ask for these drinks to be removed from my check. The bartender brought the manager (a girl with glasses) who stubbornly refused to correct my bill. I was so pissed and surprised how this place and the bartender decided to go down this path. They lost a good customer, and I hope they lose more.

Folia is amazing, I'm kinda sad they added the new window to showcase it but understandably so since it looked like a plant shop. I considered it more of a speakeasy before but the ambiance in the place is truly amazing. Very soft music and makes for a great place if you're looking for something to sit back and enjoy a nice cocktail

Visiting from Indianapolis and was extremely disappointed. I waited over 30 minutes and my meal never arrived. The drinks were poorly made and not enjoyable at all. As an out-of-town guest, I expected much better service and hospitality. This experience left a very negative impression. I wouldn't return or recommend.

Cute place. Very mid century modern south Florida vibes going. Great soundtrack during 'Bougie Brunch'. Service was welcoming, attentive and pleasant. Not at all pretentious which is a good thing! The cocktails were very tasty and well made, creative options for lots of different palates. We shared several small plates that were okay. The sausage flatbread was definitely the favorite but overall the menu was mehhh and left much to be desired considering Folia is calling it 'bougie brunch'. I expected the food to be a little More elevated, considering the price points but instead, very basic bites with ambitious names and descriptions(bread and butter or cheese, egg salad, waffle). Again, the cocktails were good but didn't justify the prices. Come for the ambience and a tasty cocktail and know that is what you are paying handsomely for.

Just wow! The food, service, and ambiance at Folia is not to be missed. I had the shrimp cocktail and a couple of cocktails. I cannot wait to go back!

Great atmosphere for a drink with the girls. The drinks themselves were fun cocktails both refreshing and delicious. However, the service was terrible. There wasn't anyone in the place, and they were fussy about where we wanted to sit. Additionally, our drinks took forever despite not having anyone else to serve. I think the bartenders are still working on being more efficient.

My friends and families were celebrating a birthday this past Thursday night. As we approached establishment we were greeted with poor hospitality from the host. As she was rude and disrespectful she reluctantly asked how many of us that was there that night, we told here (10) people. She then proceeded to sigh... and exaggerated "Just ten" as if I told her bad news. She later told us to wait and disappear into the dining room discussing (assuming servers), as she came back she told us we can sit but to be aware there only (1) servers that night. Afterwards, as she was collecting menu she told us... "it's a must that everyone orders a drink/food". My mom was shook about this "rule" as she was there for chitchat and ambiance. But overall the establishment was beautiful and service was great, I hope they find a better host. Description of host: Tan older lady with glasses.

Best cocktail in Southend if you ask me! Rad ambiance with sick plants, good beats, and attentive service. This place rules and is a great intimate spot to hang with friends or for a date-night spot. Highly recommend reserving a table online, as it's always poppin'! Can't wait to go back!

I visited folia after work with a few colleagues and we were more to an impressed! From the friendly and highly attentive hostess, to our server and the extensive cocktail menu. We ordered a few cocktails and even an NA cocktail to try and they are worth the money, each one is unique unlike any other cocktail bar I've ever been to. I ordered the Pisco Sour and thought it was a creamy but light cocktail with lots of flavor and foam on top. Anyways the decoration, vibes and overall ambiance is exceptional, highly recommend making a reservation to be sure you can get a spot!
