A classic Italian comfort food diner. They distinguished the menu between lunch and dinner so they weren’t serving their dinner dishes at lunch. The spaghetti wasn’t particularly unique or striking, but it was satisfying. The best part was how amicable everyone was.

A reliable anchor restaurant in the neighborhood, good atmosphere for eat in or a satisfying meal via delivery. Wood fired pizza is always delicious and beet salad or roasted cauliflower sides are ideal for rounding out a meal. Fair prices and fresh ingredients too. I'm a happy repeat customer.

I recently had a large reservation (~15 people) at Follia, and it thoroughly exceeded all expectations. The private dining room is stunning: It has a beautiful ambiance, perfect size to allow for mingling while comfortably seating 15, and had a rustic, cozy vibe. The service was also wonderful: Our waiter was very attentive, but never hovering or overbearing. The meal was paced perfectly from drinks through dessert. And the food, truly blew away expectations. Between the starters of assorted pizzas and salad, the four entree dishes, or the desserts, everything was prepared and tasted wonderful. I can't recommend Follia enough for a large dinner reservation (or even a casual dinner) -- everything was a 10/10

Hosted my baby shower at Follia over the weekend in the private wine cellar - could not recommend it enough. Beautiful intimate space, food was delicious and the service was incredible. Dana was great coordinating the event, and Nellie who was taking care of us during was amazing!!! Highly recommend celebrating your special event here

Such a cozy spot! The warm, intimate vibe is perfect for couples or a relaxed night out. The pesto pasta? Absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. Everything exceeded my expectations, from the service to the ambiance. Can’t wait to go back!

I’ve been coming to Folia for 6 years now and have celebrated two birthdays here. I’ve recommended it to so many friends and family over the years because I absolutely love the food and atmosphere. However, I visited yesterday and was disappointed to find that the food was not at the usual standard I’ve come to expect. The brunch pizzas and burgers have always been my favorites, but this time, the pizza was watery and undercooked, definitely not like the delicious brick oven pizza Folia is known for. The salad was also underwhelming, consisting mostly of leaves with some dressing and just a couple of croutons. Overall, the food felt rushed, which was disappointing. That said, the service was still amazing as always, our server was attentive, and everything arrived quickly. Unfortunately, I couldn’t fully enjoy the bottomless mimosas because the food didn’t live up to my expectations. I’ll definitely return because I’ve loved this place for years, but as a long-time loyal customer, I hope Folia takes this feedback into consideration!

Spot for a holiday party, pizza, salad and appetizers and they kept the drinks coming quickly, which was nice. A little tight and low ceiling being in the lower area of the building (so watch the steps down). Service was friendly and they had a number of staffers assisting with taking orders. Pizza was ok; thin crust, hand-made for the wood fired oven meant some slices were a little burnt, others were very good. Pesto pizza was good; honey pie lacked enough spice. Not too far away from Union Square so easy to hop by.

Follia is an intimate spot in Gramercy. I came by with a party of 6. We started off with drinks and apps - truffle polenta and crostini. Then we ordered the shaved Brussels salad, truffle fries, two pizzas - the pesto and hot honey - as well as the eggplant parm and cacio e Pepe. My favorite was the eggplant part and truffle polenta. Overall the food wasn't bad but have also had better.

Staff are friendly and enthusiastic. Very accommodating as well. The restaurant itself is cute, there's indoor and outdoor seating which is nice in the warmer weather. Fries and eggplant caponata were good. Eggplant was REALLY REALLY good. I'm not sure why it wasn't served with bread or anything, outside of the complimentary bread they give you. So ask for more! The pizza looks great but it was painfully underwhelming. Not much flavor. A let down. Overall it was alright. I didn't find the menu to be too exciting and unfortunately had mixed feelings about the food.

This is a really solid local neighborhood spot with a great happy hour! Their oysters were delicious, meatballs are great, and I absolutely love their Margherita pizza--which is really thin crust/light with great quality ingredients. The peach bread pudding is also delicious and not too sweet. Their service is always great too; nice staff and quick/efficient.

Great Happy Hour on weekdays keeps me coming back for more. Great prices, great food, nice crowd, and great waiting staff make this a treasure in my neighborhood.

Maybe it was because we went during sunset with the limited menu, but I was not a huge fan. I tried the New York Style pizza which tasted fine but I've had better at local pizza spots.

If I were rating on food alone, I'd probably go with three stars - it's fine, nothing especially noteworthy in either direction. The burrata crostini was okay, but honestly tasted like something I could easily make at home. My spaghetti dish was nice, with al dente spaghetti and a pretty good sauce. But Follia gets an extra star because the prices are pretty darn competitive, the service was great, and the space is really nice. The menu is a good $5-10 less per entree than what I've seen at similar restaurants. Come for the nice ambiance and some people watching along 3rd Ave. Just don't expect the best meal of your life.

Excellent brunch, great prices. The menu was huge for brunch items, the drinks were plenty. 90 minutes of Bloody Marys, Mimosas or Bellinis was great! Breakfast pizza was delish. Nice service, our waiter was great. Very much a NYC ambiance, tight and dated, but we that's New York, we were happy either way. Good experience.

Reliable food in a dimly lit, bustling atmosphere. It's nice to have local place that services up great crostini, pizzas and pastas that isn't so busy that you can't get a table, yet busy enough that it's lively. The staff is friendly and they don't rush the meal. The creamy mushroom polenta is out of this world!

I came here for a quiet night of dinner alone. The atmosphere is very cozy and the service was very good. The servers and the host were very friendly and I was able to have a relaxing dinner by myself. I got the meatballs to start and the house made pappardelle with pork ragu. The meatballs were hearty with 4 pieces for a great price! The pappardelle was also delicious with their house made pasta. The prices cannot be beat for Italian food in this area. The food here is pretty decent for the price (you could do a lot worse at a higher price point), definitely going to be a neighborhood staple when I need an Italian food fix!

Want to preface that we eat here at least 2 X a month and they need to do better. Went last night and the entire night was an epic fail. Normally we sit at the bar and eat and the bartenders are amazing. Last night we ate in the dining area. Waitress was ambivalent to us and we felt very rushed and not engaging. Ordered a salad with no bread service, everyone else around us had bread. Ordered a bottle of wine and never came back to check on us or pour. Had to serve ourselves. The food was the biggest disappointment- ordered a pizza - arrived really fast, bottom was burnt and top was so cold cheese didn't melt. And pizza is $20 for a 10". Was missing an ingredient and waited for waitress - we gave up and started eating. After 10 minutes she came by and offered to bring us cold ingredients to add to our cold pizza. At the end she brought the check and never engaged or even said thank you for coming in or acknowledge the error on the pizza. Not sure we will ever go back.

A very cozy neighborhood Italian joint. A simple pasta menu where the dishes are filling enough to be an entire meal. And quite reasonably priced if you fill up on that pasta. Meatballs: A great comfort food to start with as an appetizer. Dense, meaty and full of flavor. Also, lots of nice marinara sauce to go along with this. Arancini: Crispy on the outside with lots of cheesy rice inside. Another great way to whet your appetite. Almost didn't even need the marinara dipping sauce. Cacio e Pepe: The simple flavors were there. Salty and umami cheese. Freshly ground pungent black pepper. Though the choice of regular old spaghetti felt a little common compared to a more exotic bucatini choice that other places offer. While the cheese was indeed sticking the pasta, it didn't quite feel emulsified, maybe because they used large shreds? Orecchiette: Very green looking, but didn't taste too herbal. Liked the sausage balls mixed in. Hearty comfort food.

I've had much better meals....our order of cacio e pepe pasta was basically plain spaghetti with a sprinkle of pepper. It was dryer than the Sahara. No sauce in sight. It was just the worst pasta we've ever seen. How can you serve this at a restaurant? My baby sister could make better pasta than that. The other pastas, like the bolognese and the pesto orochiette were better, but nothing to write home about. They were still a bit on the dry side, and I'm a firm believer that pasta sauce should indeed be saucy.

My friend and I came on a weeknight and the place wasn't very full so we were seated very quickly. We shared the arancini, which were tasty. Then I got the squash ravioli and she got the orecchiette. Everything was tasty.

Something has changed from the previous years! Ownership, Chef(s). Maybe or Definitely! Follia got rid of their BEST pasta dish they had! Ragu Pappardelle! I have tried others like the clams pasta Vongole. The pizza's are not bad , but personal pizzas. I heard the bread pudding desert is fabulous. For a neighborhood joint it's nice not great. It used to feel great now it feels tired. Happy Hour is good The ribs and oysters

Was able to get a vegan pizza but total BS that they remove the cow mozzarella and charge you $4 and for vegan on top. You're stuck paying extra vs substituting and I think penalizing vegans for trying to make an ethical decision is pretty absurd and stingy. If you're a vegan looking to go out to dinner with non-vegans you will be able to eat a solid meal here. The staff may not be super helpful so be warned.

We came here on the holiday weekend, the service was super fast, drinks and food were out in only a few minutes. I would highly recommend both the margarita pizza & cocktail!

Excellent brunch at Follia today! My wife and I met my daughter in her Manhattan neighborhood and had a chance to dine here. On a rainy Saturday, a week before Christmas, this was a cozy spot to eat, with a great brunch menu. We started off with a few drinks and a crostini appetizer. I really liked the pesto with whipped ricotta one. For entrees, my daughter and I each ordered the mushroom omelette, my wife ordered the brioche French toast with bananas. I also ordered one of the large biscuits with jam. Everything was well prepared and tasted delicious! If you're around Gramercy or Union Square, I'd definitely recommend giving Follia a try! Drink up and Chow Down!

Nice casual ambience. Decent food and decent service. No complaints but nothing outstanding. I may dine here again if I live nearby or happen to be in the neighborhood but didn't find it worth traveling for.

What a hidden gem!! Been meaning to check out Follia since its only a couple blocks from us, so we stopped by for a Friday happy hour. There's ample outdoor seating and it wasn't crowded. Happy hour is 3-6pm and there are great specials. Dollar oysters! $3 meatballs! $10 pizzas! $8 cocktails! The oysters are fresh and delicious. I had a dozen, but will get more next time. So tasty! We tried three pizzas: margherita, mushroom, and pesto. The pizzas had a perfectly light and chewy crust. The mushroom was my favorite out of the three, with an ample amount of mushrooms and cheesiness. The meatballs were pretty good, but I'll try some other items instead, like arancini and ribs, next time. Follia is now my go-to neighborhood happy hour spot. I'll have to come for dinner sometime too to try the pastas and other items.

We did a takeout this time. We usually eat at the restaurant. Our experience was really great. The manager was very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. We do really love eating there as well.

I came here with my boyfriend for dinner on a Tuesday night and we really liked it! Our server was very kind and attentive (I wish I remembered her name) and our food came out at a good pace. We got the burrata salad, which comes with arugula, squash, and roasted red bell peppers. This was refreshing and the flavors were great together. The piece of burrata was just a bit smaller than expected, so we wish that could've been a bit bigger. For entrees, we shared the butternut squash ravioli and roasted chicken with potatoes. The ravioli was amazing! I've had butternut squash ravioli before at other places but this is definitely the best one so far. There were pieces of roasted brussel sprouts and butternut squash on top. The chicken was flavorful and not dry with crispy skin. The potatoes were seasoned well and there was a generous amount. In the future, we'll be back to try the hot honey pizza.

Love Follia and love the waiter Matthew that serves in more ways than one. Attentive, hilarious, willing and able to make our experience top notch, Matthew was the best waiter I've had in weeks. Thanks for the amazing service and the amazing rice balls.

Had a great brunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The food and mimosas were perfect. Thank you to Matthew for a fabulous experience. Will be coming back.

Sat outside for a Thursday night dinner, and service was quite slow. I actually didn't even know who my server was because it was a different person each time. We sat in the outside section across the sidewalk with all the plant beds, and I wish we could've been seated closer to the restaurant side or inside because...there were a bunch of small insects or gnats(?) flying around that area. I felt unsettled sitting there but the friend I was with was eh. And we couldn't even find a server to change our seats or ask. Just dealt with it. Food was fine once ordered. I don't know that I'd come back.

Had a really good dinner here. We got the burrata crostini and mascarpone with honey crostini and they were both great. We also split the margarita pizza with arugula on top and it was very good. I got the mushroom ravioli for my dinner and it was good, but the portion was so small and it was a bit salty. I would come back and order the same apps but would probably get a different main dish.

Met a friend of mine for a quick drink. It's definitely a cute spot and for a Friday night it was packed packed packed so make a reservation. I think our server got mad since we didn't order any food and she kept trying to rush us out and kind of threw the bill at us? Not cool. Despite that, it's a good spot with a decent menu.

This place is great! Awesome location near the East Village, so you have plenty of options should you want to grab more drinks after. Lots of outdoor seating and a good sized space indoors that's decorated very cute. I went for brunch and you have the option to add unlimited mimosas to your entree for a reasonable price. Lots of options to make most folks happy: egg dishes, salads, pizzas, pasta, sandwiches. We all enjoyed our food. Came out fairly quick. Mimosas were good. They also give a complimentary bread basket to start. Can't wait to come back!

This is a great neighborhood spot with a notable ambience, wood paneling, a spacious layout and an attractive bar and kitchen area. We stopped in randomly on a Sunday afternoon as we were in the area and wanted some brunch. Everything on the menu looked appetizing, but I opted for the funghi and uovo pizza (Wood Fired Mushrooms, Smoked Eggplant, Mozzerella, Parmesan, Fresh Oregano, Egg & Bread Crumbs), which turned out to be a pretty solid choice. Lots of flavors and textures happening all at once, from pungent cheese to fresh oregano to some sort of sweet fruit jam flavor-- not sure where that came from. The dough was nice and crispy from the wood-fired oven and the breadcrumbs added a surprising crunch. For $15, it was also a rather large portion. I also sampled an affordable $8 Bellini and a delicious latte. The only downside was that, on a cold and rainy day, we were seated near a window and the cold was definitely seeping in a bit.

This place is fantastic! I went there with my wife, and our son and his roommate who in college here. They had been here previously and recommended it. Everything we had was outstanding. Pretty good ambience, and solid service. Definitely recommend it.

First off, loved that we didn't have to wait for a table and we're seated immediately. We were hungry needed food as soon as possible. We ordered 3 pizzas and finished all 3 of them. I could not say one bad thing any of the pizzas. The staff was very nice and helpful. The table side candles and dim lighting was perfect for a fun evening with girls to sit down and discuss the the days events.

The food was great but the bartender, "ZK", was extremely rude and dismissive. Never once asked how our food was, didn't pour the bottle of wine we ordered, nor refilled our water. When my friend said how much he enjoyed his meal, he was answered with "ok". Even though the service was horrible, he tipped 30%. He asked what was her name. She replied, "It's on there." (The receipt). While we don't expect Southern hospitality everywhere we go outside of the South, this was beyond unacceptable.

Food is always fabulous here. I eat here every time I come to NYC and always look forward to it! Truffle fries are also really good.

Great place. Lots of seating, prompt and friendly service. Pizza pies are tasty with well balanced flavors. Calamari is an excellent starter and crème caramel is a perfect end of the meal. Wine list is extensive and prices are very reasonable.

Delicious! Great pasta, I ate every last bite. Highly suggest the arancini, it was so good. I got the homemade Agnolotti, cleaned the plate no problem.

We brought a big group for brunch and had a really great time. The bottomless deal was pretty standard. They were pretty generous with bringing around pitchers but we did get a hard cutoff (which lowkey was a little intense considering it was a pouring rainy day and the restaurant was half empty - other places I've been in the area are a bit looser with the timing). The food was delicious but unfortunately 4 of 8 in our group ended up feeling sick by the end of the night. All 4 ordered cacio e pepe (three got the eggs, one got pasta). Not sure if it was just a bad batch or something but we're probably not going to be back... Great service though!

Came here last night and had a great experience. We started with a bottle of the Syrah which was divine. For food split a few different things between three of us. We got the funghi pizza and arancini both very good, and got a few small plates as well. The small plates were 2 for $14 so we got the truffle fries (can't go wrong) and broccoli rabe which also good. This is a super fun place to eat drink and catch up with friends, would recommend making a reservation as it did start to fill up towards the evening. Will most definitely be back!

I have been a patron for several years and this last evenin... the last evening I will ever visit again.. I had to read credit card information and put my flashlight on my phone. A s white woman approached me and asked for me to turn off my ligh. I told her I couldn't because the bar is dark and I beed to retrieve information for the phone rep. Her friend at the table said "that bitch needs to turn her light off" I confronted them and asked why he would say that after I explained to his friend what I was doin. Management did nothing to control them as he was aggressive and the woman as well. As as black woman in an establishment that should clearly have seen the exchange they sided with the white patron. Over a phone light? The staff allowed them to swear and curse.. Clearly this establishment doesn't want exclusivity

Good spot with a nice and ample outdoor seating area. Stopped for drinks and snacks with friends--cocktails were solid and the wine list is sufficiently diverse--appreciate that they have a small carafe option for most by the wine by glass options--basically 2.5 glasses for less than the price of 2. Bites were fine but a bit overpriced given the size. The arugula salad was very tasty with nice chunks of parmigiano and apple tossed in a subtle but spicy olive oil, but a bit small. The marinated olive bowl was so tiny as to render it practically impossible to share (as we were expecting it to be geared towards). I mean, at an $8 "sunset menu" special price, it still pretty much came out to $1 per olive.

My friend has been raving about their wood and charcoaled pizza oven. So I finally had to try it. Yes, I definitely can taste the wood baked pizza. It was thin and crisp. I brought it home. Tip on reheating pizza: Preheat the pan at 450 degrees oven and then put your slice(s) on it for 2-3 minutes! It comes out so crisp. So worth it to buy this pizza. I tried the mushroom one. It has different kind of mushroom on it. For left over, I heated it up and out a Sunnyside egg on top for breakfast!!

Always good food and drinks - a neighborhood gem. Pastas are fresh and tasty and pizza is great too.
