I’m a huge momo lover and have tried them all over NYC. After seeing a viral post on Instagram, I was excited to check this place out — the photos looked amazing. Even though I had the option to try their food truck in Jersey City, I went all the way to NYC to experience what I thought would be the real deal. Unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The momos were cold, hard, and honestly didn’t even taste like momos. I liked the concept of pairing them with different sauces, but the execution just wasn’t there. The ambience was cute, but the food left me really disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this spot for momos and definitely won’t be coming back for them.

Finally made it to this hidden gem in NY!! Good service, great vibes, and mind blowing selection of Indian street food. Reminded me of the food I ate back in India! Highly recommend trying as many dishes as you can, it’s some of the tastiest Indian food available in New York!

A hidden gem in the East Village! Absolutely loved my experience at Fomo. The flavors were bold and authentic—especially the Chicken Kathi Roll and the Pav Bhaji. The staff was super friendly and took the time to explain some of the lesser-known items. This spot is a must-visit if you’re craving real Indian street food with a modern twist!

Loved everything about this place. Cozy decor, great food and friendly service. We tried every flavor- makhani, Manchurian, afghani, schezwan, chilli garlic, achari. Also tried the malai chaap which was not great. Can do better with the flavors. Sauce was less and did not penetrate the chap. Makhani momos were my most favorite, creamy and fresh. Fried momos were very soggy and chewy. Can improve there.

Highly recommend the crispy paneer sandwich! I'm a huge paneer fan and have never had it in sandwich form. It's freshly fried and perfectly crispy, and topped with chutney and pickled onions. There is a variety of momo flavors, but we loved the garlic butter the best. The momos come in vegetable, paneer, or chicken, so this would be a great place for vegetarians as well.

I Ordered the Chicken Steam Momos which were super juicy, the Butter Garlic Momos had the perfect punch of flavor, and the Plain Fried Momos were crispy and delicious. The red garlic dip that comes with them is just outstanding. A must-visit spot in NYC for street food lovers! ♥️

We had an amazing experience here! All the items we tried were top notch, fresh and authentic in taste. I particularly relished the Afghani momos, pav bhaji and the vada pav, and the tandoori chicken was to die for! The staff was friendly and helpful. Will surely be a NY staple for me :)

Google
We came for Momos after having Nepalese momos a couple blocks away. Saw the high rating and figured they must be good at this little shop with pink decor. It’s a small place with only a couple of small tables. Ordered the Afghani, Achari, and Szechuan momos- these are in order of spicy and Szechuan was the spiciest on their spice chart. In the photo Afghani is on the left, top right Achari, and bottom is Szechuan. The Szechuan is very different than the other two - more what most people would likely call a dumpling while the other two were more like fried ball’s. The Afghani was good - but Achari, my friend thought it kind of strange taste like a cleaning product. I’m sure it didn’t have that but I had a similar thought after trying it. Maybe these flavors didn’t work with us. I’m giving the restaurant the benefit here. There were other people enjoying the food here. Aside from the Achari momo the other momos were ok. Hope this is a one off and other people love it like the reviews say.

Yelp
As a momo fan who's had them at various Indian : Nepali restaurants, there momos are the best ones I've ever had and are mind blowingly-good. The flavors are not afterthoughts, and each momo is carefully prepared in the sauces. For example, the Manchurian is lightly fried and then put in the sauce to make it taste like a Manchurian ball, while the Achari has a "rub" on it with onions, etc. The space is much larger than I expected, with about four tables, each able to seat 3-4 people. You order up at the counter and they call your name, but even on a Saturday night, it wasn't difficult to find a table. The person at the register was really kind and walked us through our various options. This is a fantastic place for a quick bite or a meal. I'll definitely be back to try their other items like the soy chaap and paneer sandwich and report back again!

Yelp
Quite a disappointing experience. I was quite excited to try this new outpost offering Delhi-style preparations of momos. I don't see Afghani momos (or Afghani paneer) on menus too frequently - it's a cream-based sauce that's at the same level of inauthenticity as paneer "manchurian" - so that was of course in our order. For starters we tried the paneer sticks and crispy paneer sandwich. The paneer sticks had a terrible tough texture. The sandwich was one of the better parts of the meal, but they disregarded our instruction to skip onions - Jains beware! Most of the momos tasted pretty similar. The afghan, tandoori and achaari all had a very similar flavor, and the toughness definitely made it seem like they had been reheated. When I'm craving this sort of momo, I will stick to Momo Crave in Woodside.

Yelp
Fomo Momo packs the flavor (but not the heat)! Great menu variety for momo's but even the second and third spiciest choices were not spicy at all. Even with the great menu variety, I was disappointed that 1: you cannot choose multiple flavors in a pack without paying extra & 2: you cannot mix and match fillings so you must purchase two plates for two different fillings. Would return to try more flavors and would recommend to select people who are okay with standard options, no customization.

Yelp
After hearing glowing recommendations from a close friend, I finally had the pleasure of getting some take-out from FOMO MoMo NYC last night--and it exceeded expectations. I also had the opportunity to meet Ankita, one of the co-founders, whose warmth, approachability, and passion for the craft were immediately evident. We indulged in the Sexy Schezwan, Butter Garlic, and Must Makhani momos--all bursting with flavor and beautifully balanced. The Vada Pav and Pav Bhaji were equally impressive--nostalgic yet elevated, with every bite reflecting thoughtful preparation. It's inspiring to see two women entrepreneurs bringing such innovation and heart to NYC's culinary scene. Their creativity and commitment to authentic, bold flavors truly shine through. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try the Chicken Tikka Biryani, Tempting Tandoori, Amazing Afghani, Magic Manchurian, and more. Highly recommended--this place is a celebration of flavor and fearless entrepreneurship.

Yelp
Tiny place with good momos. Quick to serve. We walked in to an empty place around 8 PM on a Friday evening and were wondering if it was empty because the food was not up to par. We decided to risk it especially because someone else walked in and put in a take out order. Glad we risked it. It was actually good food. The way this place works is to order at the register and have food delivered to your table if you're eating in. We had a full portion of chicken momos with 3 flavors (12 momos total) and a half portion of plain steamed momos (6 momos) for a total of 18 momos between the two of us. For the full portion, the 3 flavors we picked were plain steamed, tandoori and afghani. We liked all of them but the plain steamed was surprisingly our favorite. All in all enjoyable, hit the spot. It may have been a bit pricier at about $2/momo on average but, honestly I am not up on my momo prices in NYC!
