Now open in Proctor, Fondi brings its beloved Gig Harbor sourdough pies—made with a decades-old starter affectionately called Sophia—to Tacoma along with a family-friendly dining room and Italian-leaning salads and starters.

The first time I came, I tried the four-cheese pizza and it was spectacular. I’m not really a pizza lover, but that pizza made me want to come back for more. On my second visit, I don’t know what happened… it didn’t taste the same. I felt a bit let down, though there was nothing wrong with it—the pizza was fresh, hot, and tasty, but for me it just didn’t feel like that first time, which was love at first bite. My only suggestion would be the bathrooms, as they weren’t very clean. The salad, however, was super fresh and delicious—I definitely recommend it 🤩

Excited to try this place, I figured I’d give it a shot as it took over the space of another good pizza spot, that had a killer happy hour, and awesome pizza. I was so disappointed, the people working there were very nice. When you walk in you get a chain cafeteria vibe, a “get in- get out” vibe. Super bright and open, as opposed to the old dark, vintage cool look the previous owners preferred. I spent $42 on a “medium” ish sized pizza, and a small (smallest available size) salad. Which was a proper portion for 2 not so hungry people. I was so so so disappointed. Neapolitan style pizza is typically my favorite. The dough did not taste like anything, the ingredients tasted mediocre, it was just a very confused pizza. I hope I went on an off day, because it just wasn’t good. Read other reviews, some like it, some don’t. I guess that’s a pizza thing. Not everyone has the same taste in pizza. I was definitely not a fan. I say give everyone a shot and decide for yourself.

Fondi has premium ingredients but both times I've eaten there, the ingredients are only in the middle of the pie and there's several inches of breadsticks. When I'm paying a premium price, I don't expect it to be a very small diameter and the rest uncovered dough. I was disappointed both times I visited. Yesterday, I ordered the pear pizza. In the past, every pear pizza I had was paired with Gorgonzola cheese. The sweet and the savory were a delicious combo. I should have read the description better because it was paired with balsamic sauce instead of Gorgonzola. Balsamic is a cheaper alternative and didn't satisfy me at all. Especially since there was so few ingredients in the center of the pizza and the rest again was uncovered. I won't be going back. ( Also note, the atmosphere is bright lights and stacks of pizza boxes. It's reminiscent of a cafeteria, there's no ambience whatsoever.)

Try this pizza! We really enjoy coming here and have been three times since they opened. The gluten free pizza is really tasty and their salads are a great portion. We’ve gone with family and they’ve ordered (and enjoyed) their regular crusted pizzas. I wish was that their “pizza per due” included Italian sodas. We don’t drink alcohol or coke products, so we typically forgo the drink option. My only complaint is the “cheesecake” dessert. This is not adequately described and is in fact cake with a layer of cheesecake. We’re gluten sensitive so we wouldn’t have ordered this knowing it was mostly cake. We’ll be back!

Was visiting a friend from many years ago and we were able to walk a few minutes from his residence to this place. Pleasant and productive within this pizzeria, they were busy and bustling. The beer choice was great, the pizza was delicious. The server was very helpful and attentive to our table.

I have been a Fondi (Gig Harbor) regular for several years. Their food is the freshest of any pizza place I've ever been (3 grown kids means LOTS of pizza). Their salads are worth the trip by themselves. The biggest compliment I can pay is the fact that the food and service at the brand new Proctor Location was every bit as good as Gig Harbor. That says everything that needs to be said.

We’ve always been big fans of Fondi’s Gig Harbor location, and the new Proctor spot absolutely lives up to the hype! The Bella Chop Salad is our go-to, and every pizza we’ve tried has been delicious. We’ve been lucky to have Zack as our host on several visits, and he consistently goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The service is just as impressive as the food. Fondi Proctor has quickly become one of our favorite go-to spots!

We were soooo excited to see the Proctor location finally open! We have been huge fans of Fondi eversince they were at Kent Station and so sad when they closed. We just went to celebrate our anniversary with the family and had a wonderful dinner. The taste was still the same and our server, Bella, was so very nice and friendly. Our kids love their pizza and their chopped salad is amazing! Thank you, Bella, for your friendliness and making our anniversary dinner extra memorable!

Yelp
Fondi pizza is a great addition to proctor. It's located right on Proctor (street parking - not too difficult to find). You can order at the counter unless you're hanging out at the bar. Weekdays there's an early bird special 2p-5p - one pizza, one salad, two drinks for $34 (I think?). If calling in an order for take out, their estimates for time are pretty good! (Pickup pizza at the bar) We've dined in 1x and ordered takeout 2-3 x since it opened! Dine in was a little slow but it was the 2nd day they were open, so I think just new business opening pains. We've tried the arugula and prosciutto pizza, the pear prosciutto pizza, pepperoni (kids like the little pepperonis!) and a mamma roma ... The Insalata de Gorgonzola reminded me of a wedge salad except not in wedge shape (chopped up iceberg) so it was good. The breadsticks were ok, the marinara was a little watery. Fondi is a welcome add to the neighborhood and in our weekly rotation! It's our go to for pizza (convenience, price, service).

Yelp
Fondi just opened this week in proctor. You order at the counter but they also have table service for any additions you want. The interior is really nice and open, with lots of sunlight coming in which makes for a really comfortable ambiance. The pizza was really good, we loved the prosciutto arugula but the classic pepperoni was probably the best in Tacoma, the crust is really delicious and is clearly made from scratch. The salad was enough for two people to easily share. We weren't huge fans of the sauce that came with the breadsticks but the bread itself was also really good. All the pizzas were under 25$ and I thought it was a fair price for the high quality of the ingredients. Over all it's a high quality pizza place that offers dine in or take out and is a great pizza spot, I will definitely return!

Yelp
We stopped into Fondi's new location, Proctor, last night, and had an enjoyable time. It was very busy, which is a great sign, and we were fortunate to be able to sit in the bar. If you have been to this location before (formerly Millhouse and Blind Pig), there used to be a separate bar and restaurant, but they have knocked down the wall and the bar seating is only at the bar. This was fine and this is the only way you get full table service. If you come in the main entrance, you order up front and find your own seat. I think that's my least favorite part of Fondi. If I'm going out to eat, I really like to have full table service. Also, because of the very open concept, It's quite loud and a wall or several might be nice. Haha. However, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and our food was delicious. We started out by sharing a chopped salad and holding the meat, as I am vegetarian. We also had a four cheese pizza and it was cooked perfectly. They were out of two of the four tap beers, so I was bummed by that, but not too big of a deal. They haven't been open very long. I'm excited to go back with our daughter, but I'm hoping we can find a time where it's a little more chill. I think they will have great success at this location!

Yelp
We were happy to see that Fondi opened up a Tacoma location. We were greeted at the door by the owner, Chris, and our sweet server, Zach! They both were so kind and made us feel right at home. The food, as always, was excellent-- a flatbread and a chopped salad! The perfect lunch. The service was incredible. The atmosphere is spacious and perfect for either a date night, girls lunch, or family dinner. Will be back!

Yelp
Fantastic Food, great service and a great atmosphere. This is one of the best Neapolitan pizza places around.

Yelp
Ambience is great, really cute interior remodel of the old building they took over. Service was I would say 7 out of 10... responsive, and friendly, but there's no reason why my order took almost 30 minutes. All I ordered was a pizza and a salad. True Neapolitan style pizza is famous for being very quick. Maybe it was the salad? The food was I would say 5 out of 10 for the price. The wood fired pizza wagon guy at the weekly Tacoma farmers uses much fresher and higher quality ingredients, and a whole lot more of them for about eight dollars less per pizza of the same size. The quality of the crust indicated cheap flour, low protein, not chewy; the cheese, which looked like big squares of processed cheese slices, and the very skimpy vegetables on what was supposed to be a vegetable heavy pizza, very disappointing. For the same price at Colvos pizza in Tacoma. you get about three times as much pizza and it's at least twice as good. And the salad was equally disappointing. it was supposed to have white beans and I saw three in the entire medium size $16 salad. And the bits of meat they included were extremely salty, made me think they came out of a package of cheap processed meats that have been chopped into cubes. Maybe with time they will improve - if they are open to feedback!

Yelp
The food at Fondi is consistently delicious. However the Tacoma location feels like a very sterile cafeteria with zero ambiance, whereas Gig Harbor has a super cozy atmosphere and is a place you want to take your friends and family.

Yelp
A welcome addition to Proctor. Great Pizza and wonderful Salads. Good Service and a pleasant atmosphere.

Yelp
Wanted to like this place because its so close and convenient to me, but I can't get past undone but also burnt pizza.

Yelp
Caesar salad tasted fresh. The margarita pizza and prosciutto arugula pizza were both delish and came out hot with just the right amount of brick oven char. Servers were polite and attentive.
