Now open in Proctor, Fondi brings its beloved Gig Harbor sourdough pies—made with a decades-old starter affectionately called Sophia—to Tacoma along with a family-friendly dining room and Italian-leaning salads and starters.

I normally don't like super fancy pizza, but this place really changed that. The pizza is the perfect amount of fancy and I love it. I come here often when I am out with friends and we all highly enjoy it. The staff are really nice and the food and drinks are amazing. Highly recommend to anyone!

The first time I came, I tried the four-cheese pizza and it was spectacular. I’m not really a pizza lover, but that pizza made me want to come back for more. On my second visit, I don’t know what happened… it didn’t taste the same. I felt a bit let down, though there was nothing wrong with it—the pizza was fresh, hot, and tasty, but for me it just didn’t feel like that first time, which was love at first bite. My only suggestion would be the bathrooms, as they weren’t very clean. The salad, however, was super fresh and delicious—I definitely recommend it 🤩

Hmm, where to start... They have the best pizzas with their signature crispy wood-fired pizzas, and we aren't kidding that they are our absolute favorite pizzas in all of Washington. Next on the list are their pizza rolls. We've had good pizza rolls, but never pizza rolls like Fondi's. Pro tip: If you really want your pizza rolls to be epic, you have to dip them in Fondi's homemade gorgonzola dressing. Trust us. We even know a three-year-old who isn't a fan of pizza (yeah, we think it's crazy too), but he will devour half a plate of Fondi's pizza rolls... Their salads are the freshest salads around; you'd think they were a strictly salad restaurant with how amazing these salads are. We've tried every single salad on the menu, and if we had to pick our favorite, maybe the Insulata di mele with its fennel-candied walnuts, but then we'd feel bad for forgetting their classic Caesar's forum, which is a Caesar salad even your kids will want to eat! We may have saved the best for last, because Fondi's flatbread, which we order crispy with the fresh mozzarella, white bean dip (kind of like hummus if we had to compare it to something more well known), and their pomodoro spread (a really fresh marinara-type dip). We almost forgot our favorite dessert! The Burnt Creme, aka Creme Brulee, is incredible; it's really the best way to finish your meal, but we sometimes order the Affogato as well, it's espresso over ice cream, and it's delicious!

I love this place and so do both my girls. It is hard to find pizza that is light and not so heavy and filling and greasy. This place has a KILLER margarita pizza! And the price is good. They have some good salads too and the pizza rolls and garlic bread is really good. We have a thin mets pizza once too that was great. I would say the Marg is DEF my fav. Great family spot for kids and families and in the best neighborhood. Love Fondi

Excited to try this place, I figured I’d give it a shot as it took over the space of another good pizza spot, that had a killer happy hour, and awesome pizza. I was so disappointed, the people working there were very nice. When you walk in you get a chain cafeteria vibe, a “get in- get out” vibe. Super bright and open, as opposed to the old dark, vintage cool look the previous owners preferred. I spent $42 on a “medium” ish sized pizza, and a small (smallest available size) salad. Which was a proper portion for 2 not so hungry people. I was so so so disappointed. Neapolitan style pizza is typically my favorite. The dough did not taste like anything, the ingredients tasted mediocre, it was just a very confused pizza. I hope I went on an off day, because it just wasn’t good. Read other reviews, some like it, some don’t. I guess that’s a pizza thing. Not everyone has the same taste in pizza. I was definitely not a fan. I say give everyone a shot and decide for yourself.

Google
Margherita pizza with house-made ingredients was excellent, and the side of gorgonzola for dipping (guilty pleasure, I like ranch), was delicious. Host was very sweet and helpful as well. Great lunch experience!

Nice renovation of the property. Food was really good. Had a Vegetariano Pizza and Insalata di Gorgonzola. The house white wine was good too. Service was good. I wish it was full table service and not having to order at the front counter when you enter the restaurant.

Yelp
Fondi pizza is a great addition to proctor. It's located right on Proctor (street parking - not too difficult to find). You can order at the counter unless you're hanging out at the bar. Weekdays there's an early bird special 2p-5p - one pizza, one salad, two drinks for $34 (I think?). If calling in an order for take out, their estimates for time are pretty good! (Pickup pizza at the bar) We've dined in 1x and ordered takeout 2-3 x since it opened! Dine in was a little slow but it was the 2nd day they were open, so I think just new business opening pains. We've tried the arugula and prosciutto pizza, the pear prosciutto pizza, pepperoni (kids like the little pepperonis!) and a mamma roma ... The Insalata de Gorgonzola reminded me of a wedge salad except not in wedge shape (chopped up iceberg) so it was good. The breadsticks were ok, the marinara was a little watery. Fondi is a welcome add to the neighborhood and in our weekly rotation! It's our go to for pizza (convenience, price, service).

Yelp
Fondi is a nice addition to the Proctor neighborhood! I was promptly greeted by the bartender when I walked in and was able to place a takeout order quickly. Building itself is clean and well lit. I went with the vegetariano & a margherita. The vegetariano was really good and the margherita was pretty okay. As far as pizza places go, it's not even close to my favourite, but if someone suggested it I'd be willing to go back.

Yelp
Excellent Neapolitan style pizza. Reminds me of my visits to Naples over the years. Excellent service by people who like their jobs and love the food they serve. Highly recommended

Yelp
Unfortunately the pizza is quite average. Ordered the pears and pepperoni pizza. The dough/crust feels too thick

Yelp
Fondi just opened this week in proctor. You order at the counter but they also have table service for any additions you want. The interior is really nice and open, with lots of sunlight coming in which makes for a really comfortable ambiance. The pizza was really good, we loved the prosciutto arugula but the classic pepperoni was probably the best in Tacoma, the crust is really delicious and is clearly made from scratch. The salad was enough for two people to easily share. We weren't huge fans of the sauce that came with the breadsticks but the bread itself was also really good. All the pizzas were under 25$ and I thought it was a fair price for the high quality of the ingredients. Over all it's a high quality pizza place that offers dine in or take out and is a great pizza spot, I will definitely return!

Yelp
Pizza isn't very good and it's filled with screaming kids. That's gonna be a pass for me, dog.

Yelp
We stopped into Fondi's new location, Proctor, last night, and had an enjoyable time. It was very busy, which is a great sign, and we were fortunate to be able to sit in the bar. If you have been to this location before (formerly Millhouse and Blind Pig), there used to be a separate bar and restaurant, but they have knocked down the wall and the bar seating is only at the bar. This was fine and this is the only way you get full table service. If you come in the main entrance, you order up front and find your own seat. I think that's my least favorite part of Fondi. If I'm going out to eat, I really like to have full table service. Also, because of the very open concept, It's quite loud and a wall or several might be nice. Haha. However, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and our food was delicious. We started out by sharing a chopped salad and holding the meat, as I am vegetarian. We also had a four cheese pizza and it was cooked perfectly. They were out of two of the four tap beers, so I was bummed by that, but not too big of a deal. They haven't been open very long. I'm excited to go back with our daughter, but I'm hoping we can find a time where it's a little more chill. I think they will have great success at this location!

Yelp
Service was great with the exception of the re fire on my pizza I'll assume it got burnt the 1st time around but still not a long way. The oven heated bread with the dips was good my pizza was good but I'm one who likes a pineapple, jalapeño option neither were but yet the pizza was still good I'd go back if suggested but wouldn't be my choice

Jeff S.

Yelp
Chop salad and pizza were excellent! Service top notch. Ambiance passable, small dining room. Overall excellent!

Yelp
This place is so badly decorated and the tables are close together to provide some semblance of connection. However, other people's children screaming right next to you is unpleasant. This restaurant is like The Odyssey but without any games. The breadsticks were cold and undercooked. The pizza was soft with black marks. I could picture Gordon Ramsey throwing a slice across the room in disgust. Good location, not Fond of the pizza.

Yelp
Fantastic Food, great service and a great atmosphere. This is one of the best Neapolitan pizza places around.

Yelp
We were happy to see that Fondi opened up a Tacoma location. We were greeted at the door by the owner, Chris, and our sweet server, Zach! They both were so kind and made us feel right at home. The food, as always, was excellent-- a flatbread and a chopped salad! The perfect lunch. The service was incredible. The atmosphere is spacious and perfect for either a date night, girls lunch, or family dinner. Will be back!

Yelp
Ambience is great, really cute interior remodel of the old building they took over. Service was I would say 7 out of 10... responsive, and friendly, but there's no reason why my order took almost 30 minutes. All I ordered was a pizza and a salad. True Neapolitan style pizza is famous for being very quick. Maybe it was the salad? The food was I would say 5 out of 10 for the price. The wood fired pizza wagon guy at the weekly Tacoma farmers uses much fresher and higher quality ingredients, and a whole lot more of them for about eight dollars less per pizza of the same size. The quality of the crust indicated cheap flour, low protein, not chewy; the cheese, which looked like big squares of processed cheese slices, and the very skimpy vegetables on what was supposed to be a vegetable heavy pizza, very disappointing. For the same price at Colvos pizza in Tacoma. you get about three times as much pizza and it's at least twice as good. And the salad was equally disappointing. it was supposed to have white beans and I saw three in the entire medium size $16 salad. And the bits of meat they included were extremely salty, made me think they came out of a package of cheap processed meats that have been chopped into cubes. Maybe with time they will improve - if they are open to feedback!

Yelp
A welcome addition to Proctor. Great Pizza and wonderful Salads. Good Service and a pleasant atmosphere.

Yelp
The food at Fondi is consistently delicious. However the Tacoma location feels like a very sterile cafeteria with zero ambiance, whereas Gig Harbor has a super cozy atmosphere and is a place you want to take your friends and family.

Yelp
Wanted to like this place because its so close and convenient to me, but I can't get past undone but also burnt pizza.

Thea Y.

Yelp
Caesar salad tasted fresh. The margarita pizza and prosciutto arugula pizza were both delish and came out hot with just the right amount of brick oven char. Servers were polite and attentive.
