Food 101 Bar & Bistro

Great little restaurant/bar the service was Exceptional. Drinks were so good friends I was with had several. Then we ordered food. The Lee Ming with names potatoes, salads, paragraphs was phenomenal. I ordered chicken salad. It was phenomenal as well. Salmon dinner also phenomenal. I highly recommend this little restaurant. You will enjoy your experience here.

Been coming here for years. Still the best in its' class in Western Mass. Food is outstanding, bartenders make deliciously strong cocktails, and service is polished, but very warm and congenial. Absolute perfection.

Excellent food and the wait staff is amazing. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming - we love it! I’m a picky eater and their Statler Chicken puts me in tastebud heaven. My husband loves their chopped salad and filet.

Very nice staff, but food was below average. I think they are trying to be French Bistro, but the food is very under par even for Western Mass. If you are going for a night cap. It is a nice place . If you are going for great food, there are many other options. - Service: 8/10 - Food: 3/10 - Ambiance: 7/10

I enjoyed the food and atmosphere here at Food 101. The scallops were fresh, and the pork was tasty. I especially loved the wide cariety of appetizers. If you live in Western Mass, and are looking for a nice meal, this is the place.

Uncomfortable at 1st, the waitress & bartender were making gestures of how they would close in 1.5 hours (which we were in & out in 40 mins.) Besides that server was nice & the food was very good! Nice dining! Would highly recommend!

The ambiance is nice. But…the way this restaurant positions itself, between prices and everything else, more is to be expected. First - no blue cheese stuffed olives for martinis. Our server apologized and shared that people are always asking for them and many people bring their own. So…why not have them? We ordered the oysters and they were so small - like, ridiculously small. The server brought us another half dozen, on the house, which was nice, but also a weird way to admit their oysters should not have been served at full price. Our entrees were OK, but overall tasteless. I had the special - lobster and shrimp risotto. Absolutely no seasoning and there may have been one small piece of lobster, but likely just a piece of shrimp - the lighting is very dim. We all had to ask for salt and pepper to actually give our food some actual flavor. Disappointing experience given the hype and the price. Our server was extremely gracious and accommodating.

A really delicious meal— can’t complain at all. Everything was cooked perfectly and really tasty. The service was superb. Definitely will return next time I’m in South Hadley, such a nice dinner.
