Maine’s Food for Thought Expands to East Boston March 2020 - Eater Boston
"Food for Thought is opening a new location inside the popular East Boston deli, Sammy Carlo’s Delicatessen and Catering. The menu is inspired by East Boston's Hispanic and Italian heritages and features a diverse range of dishes, including a burger, shrimp mofongo, lobster tamales, beer can chicken, and a grilled cheese sandwich made with doughnuts as the bread." - Terrence Doyle
Cool new restaurant inside Sammy Carlo's Deli.
We went for brunch this afternoon. I had the carrot cake french toast, which was a sweet and decadent treat. My husband enjoyed the sausage poutine, which looked delicious!
Service was also great, with the owner, Jay, walking around and introducing himself.
I can't wait to return to try out their full menu!

Sunday brunch with pancake sticks and candied bacon, BLT & carbonara. Loved sitting outside to enjoy, I'll be back to try a number of other really creative dishes they have on the menu.

Just stopped in for brunch and it was awesome! We shared the Nashville chicken and the tot poutine - highly recommend. Good food, service and reasonably priced. Will be back for sure.
