Footprints Cafe Express

I recommend Footprints because it odd by day one of the most consistent Caribbean restaurants I’ve been to in NYC. The food is good and the variety of options is so huge; they cater to every single person and all diets you could think of. I’ve never seen such good food at such affordable prices either. I’ve shopped there several times (I’m sure you can tell by the amount of pictures) and will continue to buy with them. Each location has a unique feel of its own so you don’t get the feeling like “seen one seen them all”.

Great Food. Terrible service. The food may be worth the wait if you ordered a lot, but there is absolutely no excuse for taking my money and forgetting to make my food. I ordered ONE large soup and went to sit down and wait for my number to be called. One hour later, no more numbers were being called, so I walked up to the counter and showed them my ticket. (btw, the people working there are always more focused on each other than they are on any customer). I was speechless when the staff asked me if I didn't already get my food. If I forgot to pay and left with my food, there would be police involved, yet there wasn't even any compensation for wasting my time. Needless to say, I will not be going back. I am convinced it's called Footprints Cafe to remind you never to step foot back in there once you leave. If you can not do something as simple as provide the very goods you were paid for, your business is a complete joke.

I ordered food from here today and not only am.i disappointed the wait was for what I feel.like I got food poisoning. There's hair in my food inbeded in to my food. So it wasn't mine. My chicken was not real it just sauce on baked chicken I would avoid this place I will never return. And the guy and the lady at the front is very unprofessional. The food here suck. I am reporting this restaurant to the better business bureau Because they shouldn't be treating people like this for nothing. No good. Stay away from here this place is not good in food experience nothing

Over rated rasta pasta is TRASH they don't put no type of love into it just heavy cream Parma Rosa a peppers where is the jerk flavoring and seasoning? Ugh

I usually order online and one of my favorite dish is shrimp rasta pasta,but not anymore because the food is dry with no sauce. The food doesn't taste good like it use to.I tried ordering it again and I get the same results the signature flavor that I'm use to eating is gone.Im done.

The was food was good, nothing special. The service was absolutely horrible. We ordered for 9, and they completely left out 2 plates of food. Had we chosen to leave instead of eating there, we would've never known. They also falsely advertised having fish an okra. When we opened up the plate, it was fish and pumpkin (which we didn't order). After assuming it was a mistake, the cook came and told us that they never had okra, only fish and pumpkin (which we didn't order). Upon leaving, the manager or supervisor working there stopped us to let us know that we owed them $1 for the price difference between the fish an okra and the fish and pumpkin (which we didn't order). We gave them $1 and left. Avoid this restaurant at all costs.

I ordered a large popcorn shrimp and when I got home, I realize they gave me the small portion, but I was charged for the large portion. The wait time there is very long. I waited about 45 minutes for three items. Also, the plantain's were dried and no flavor at all. It’s unfortunate but the other locations are better!

The food was good, but they really need to do better about customer service. We had a party of Nine that wanted to dine-in. We were given no help only told us to put the table back after we moved them together ourselves to seat us. Luckily we dine in because we was missing a full order of Rasta pasta. My mom order okra and fish. We were missing the okra so they refunded me a dollar. As we were leaving the young lady approached me saying they gave her pumpkin that she didn’t order or want and asked for the dollar back. I was very surprised about that. As I said customer service was not up to standard.

Man o Man!! Y'all have some amazing Roti! I use to live literally down the street from y'all. The wait times are HORRIBLE like Jesus Christ wtf y'all doing back there!? Besides that tho the food was always enjoyable..

Cute tables outside! Great for photo ops. I had Rasta pasta with oxtails! Not a bite was left! It was so good! I also had a cucumber ginger juice! That was delicious too! The service was pretty good as well, we only ever came into contact with our server though. She was nice, did her job. Didn't go above and beyond but made sure we were okay so that was good. I would definitely go back!

Was hanging out last night with some friends had a few drinks and we stopped at the express footprints I grabbed an order of crab cakes because I love how thick and flavor they are, my friends ordered what they ordered , the wait wasn't that long service was cool, ate my crab cakes on my way home and of course they taste good as always especially with the sauce one of my favorite appetizers from their

if you're going to order from this place order from there days in advance just for you to have you to have your food on time between the actual time it takes to Make the dish and Uber eats orders you'll be waiting until tomorrow food is good the time waiting will piss you off and make you not want it

This place has one of the best crab cakes it's spicy but I love it they are just not consistent with the corn relish they usually put on the side even when you ask for it it's still missing from the order!

So I have eaten at all the footprints restraints and of course when they first began.. the food. was amazing, but 2024 latest changes noticed are as follows: Improvement on customer Service at the front desk, The Rasta Pasta has bee consistent, Prices are fair, Famous lemonade taste watered down, The Thai Fried rice is a hoax- The Shrimp are cutup into tiny pieces- No. whole shrimp at all. (this was not only disappointing, but very miisleading. Paid $20+. for a Shrimp meal and got shrimp flavoring.... This establishment makes too much money to cut up probably 3 shrimp... Disappointed

I order from this location very frequently. Taste wise this is my favorite foot print (yes I've tried all the locations lol I love Caribbean food ) Food comes packaged nicely, always arrives piping hot, stapled all the way for safety which I truly appreciate. Food wise? First of all - great sea moss, really good curry chicken these are my top items for ordering. The roti is just ok but I still buy it each time because I cannot get enough roti ever lol. My boo is a big fan of the Rasta pasta and the curry goat. Thank you footprints!

Clarendon Footprints never disappoints. Great place to order food and great ambiance.

Their staff are rude and act juvenile, the food can either be an hit or it can be an miss. It's an clean establishment.

We went on a Saturday night to grab some bites and drinks before a friend's birthday party nearby. The dining room AND the bar were pretty packed so we were lucky to get a table without reservations. There were a number of couples on dates as well as groups. Plenty of televisions are spread out so you can catch your sport of choice here. Our faves from the food were mackerel, salmon, and shrimp based. This is a great place for seafood. Entrees are large and filling so bring your appetite, and the expectation that good food takes time. However, while you wait you should try a drink....or two. Fair warning that their drinks are not for the weak! They pack a punch and were a great way to warm us up for my friends party. Footprints is an authentic spot for Caribbean food that doesn't disappoint. Be aware there is only one tiny little bathroom so that was kind of a bummer but at least it was clean and well decorated. Check it out

I'm not sure why this location has lower ratings than the Clarendon location because the service here is markedly better! The Clarendon location takes forever to prepare meals but this Flatbush location is both efficient and reliable. I can always count on receiving my Cajun chicken rasta pasta for pick-up or Uber Eats delivery in a timely fashion. I usually get the curry goat or curry chicken roti if I'm not getting Rasta pasta. Most meals have a nice level of spice to it, which I think it nice. However, if you're spicy tolerance is super low, it might be worth it to mention it to the cashier or waiter when you place your order. Although I've never dined in at this location, it looks like it could be cozy. I'll have to try in the future.

This was my first time visiting this Footprints location. I've frequented their Coney Island and Clarendon locations, and was equally impressed with the food here. I ordered the Rasta pasta with stew chicken, and everything was delicious! You can tell the stewed chicken was fresh, and it had lots of spice and flavor. I recommend calling ahead to avoid the long waiting time. Luckily when I went there was no one ahead of me so my food came out quickly, but they did seem pretty busy. They also have a nice outdoor seating area.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Went here after a show and regret it. Had the honey garlic chicken smh. The chicken was so hard and you didn't taste any honey or garlic because they must have mixed it with the hot sauce then we had the honey garlic shrimp and the same thing . We also had some rice and peas and it was so bland no nothing to it at all and now the macaroni pie lol its like they used some cheese and too much oregano just horrible. I told my friend to give her dog the chicken. She said her Sorrel was good and I had my own ginger ale. On our way home we saw that BBQ was open and we was double mad

Yo. Fuck this place. No lube. They've been falling offfffff....what is it - new management? New cook? Recipe? Things suck here - I'm sure they've been knowing for a while. Footprints and I have a toxic relationship. I know footprints no longer serves my needs, won't change for the better..and I still take them back, giving another chance. This is over. Officially. I ordered at 9:30. I kept calling , can't get through. After almost 2 hours of calling, I ordered from another restaurant (best idea of the night) and called it night Side of Shrimp was "rubbery" and not cleaned out. The oxtail meal came with two oxtails. Two. The rest was bone and gravy.

Ordered through grubhub. Expected that it'll take a while to get here since their take out service always take a long time. Saucy rasta pasta and the oxtail was tender, jerk shrimp and chicken was eh. Honey garlic shrimp was very good but kind of disappointed on the portion. Very filling on the rasta pastas tho.

I am a regular at Footprints Cafe & the food never seems to disappoint. The service could be a lot better but the place is usually crowded. The servers need to be more tentative towards their patrons

Bob Marley's Redemption Song is literally playing in my mind as I write this updated review. I honestly had been able to avoid this Footprints location since my last subpar takeout experience that fueled my initial review several years prior. However, I decided to give them another try since there was an a discount running for purchasing through their app. My real qualm was with their customer service and not with the quality of their food. I placed the order effortlessly through the app which informed me that my order would be ready in 20 minutes. I showed up 45 minutes for my order and was pleased that it was ready to go. It seemed like some much needed improvements were made and I want to applaud the business owners for this. I also have to commend them for the consistency in the quality of their Rasta Pasta even during the VID Pause. Simply delicious! I love their Rasta Pasta but the shining star of my most recent order was the Bacon Mac & Cheese Spring Rolls. I was super hungry so I ordered them to snack on the ride home and was pleasantly surprised. They were gooey, full of flavor that was complimented by turkey bacon and crunchy. I feel like these weren't always on the menu but I'm so glad that they are now. I order them all the time and they are still just as good as the first time. I recommend giving this Footprints location another chance and highly recommend ordering through their app.

Disgraceful. Rasta pasta trash worst Caribbean restaurant in what feels like the world.

My experience at foot prints was marred by an excessively long wait time, coupled with rude and unprofessional service. The lack of organization and communication only added to the frustration. Additionally, the poor quality of the food did nothing to redeem the overall experience. I would strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of this establishment until they address these significant issues.

Rasta pasta Rasta pasta R A S T A P A S T A!!! Did I mention they have amazing Rasta pasta?? I never been to this location before and didn't even knew it existed, but I'm also not from Brooklyn so that's no surprise. Anyway I was glad my wife brought me here, I feel the service was much faster than the other location, but shouts to the original footprints location. Anyway def a spot I can't wait to go back to and would suggest others hit them up for sure!

First time back here in years. Did not sit in to check out the ambiance, but I ordered a Rasta pasta with oxtail ToGo. It was pretty good and the portion size was respectable for the price. Anyone who eats oxtail knows it cost an arm and a leg these days. I feel like this spot is a Brooklyn staple and if your eating here Rasta pasta is a great suggestion.

I just ordered the famous oxtail and rasta pasta. It looked great, smell great but thought as a rock. It needed six more hours if stewing!!!! Smh!!!

Ketnie was phenomenal! As soon I entered Footprints, she greeted me with a smile. Ketnie was so patient while she was explaining the menu to me. Also, she was very attentive and extremely sweet. She made my ordering experience an unforgettable one. Shout out to Footprints (on Flatbush) and their great service!

I've ordered from here a few times via Uber eats but decided to call and do a walk in after visiting a business in the area and saw it was nearby. Someone answered the phone but put me on hold for a few minutes. I ordered the jerk chicken breast salad. The woman on the phone told me there was a price difference paying in cash vs card. I walked in shortly after placing and it was pretty busy. Employees were working diligently but it's a very fast paced environment with the numbers of people coming in and out. It took about 15 minutes to get my salad with the hussle and bussle. It was delicious. The veggies were very fresh, especially the lettuce cucumber and Tomato. I got it with a side of Italian dressing and they were very generous. The jerk chicken was fresh and spicy. Extra sauce was covering it and hit the salad which was perfect. Salad was a 10/10 for me!

BOMB BOMB BOMB! If you love flavor, pasta, fusion cuisine, a party in your mouth or all of the above, order NOW. Both the salmon and shrimp rasta pasta are creamy and savory with the perfect kick. Make sure you tell them to make it mild, otherwise they go in on the spices. The seafood is always cooked great and the noodles are NEVER mushy as I absolutely hate that. I love when a restaurant understands the art of Al dente pasta. The bell peppers give a breathe of fresh air to a rather dense and indulgent dish. Delicious. Now, it's not the cheapest meal through UBEREATS but it's insanely worth it! You'll definitely be able to taste the indulgence so def not an everyday meal but a nice treat. Overall, they get a major stamp of approval! I highly recommend their Rasta pasta which is what they are pretty famous for!

Was in the area with my fiancé for a hair appointment. He picked up food from here while I was getting my hair done. I saw the reviews and was leery however this wasn't his first time eating there. He mentioned that attitudes from employees aren't the greatest and it wasn't. The restaurant was busy as they usually are. There is street parking available. The restaurant resembles a deli style but the prices are more along the line of fine dining, some plates as high as $36. He ordered the Rasta pasta with coconut shrimp, $19. I tried one of his shrimp. He said it was good, for me it was a bit to greasy. I ordered the Rasta pasta with salmon, $19. The pasta was flavorful, a bit on the spicy end but not to bad. What I did not care for was the tiny bones in the salmon. I feel that they should state this on the menu. Once I noticed the bones. (After second forkful), I discontinued eating and finished after I returned home where I could eat more comfortably. Salmon was good but the bones tainted the experience.

Order from uber eats like I've done a dozen times in the past, had been a while since they messed up my order so I guess they decided tonight was the night! The ONLY reason I decided to support their establishment was because they had a buy one get one free rasta pasta with shrimp deal. They also had new seasoned fries which are $2 more than their regular fries. I finally get my food 2 hrs after ordering and I only get ONE order of rasta pasta and shrimp despite the receipt clearly displaying the buy one get one free deal AND regular soggy UNSEASONED fries smfh. I need to find a new Caribbean restaurant to get rasta pasta from asap. And if you have other options GO ELSEWHERE

This is the second time I've ordered from this particular footprints and they completely messed up my order. They need to get it together!

This is my second time eating from this location. The first time, we ordered two steam snapper, rice and peas and two orders of carrot juice. The food was okay. We ordered carrot juice, and the milk must have been old/sour we had to throw it in the drain. This time we ordered two oxtail dinners with rasta pasta. I must say I rather eat from Clarendon Ave. The oxtail was hard, I thought I was getting oxtail with the meat falling off the bone. What was I thinking? Rasta pasta was good though.

I am extremely disappointed that I have to update my review of this restaurant. I went to go get my usual yesterday. I noticed no outdoor seating. I asked if I could eat inside. In order to eat inside you have to fill out a form with your First Name, Last Name, Home Address, and Phone Number. This is extremely invasive. The worst part is that the form isn't kept in secure location. If you want to eat here. Just take your food and leave.

Damn this sh*t was so spicy. Maybe my tolerance has gone down because I couldn't even finish it, it's spicier than their jerk which I just don't understand. Whoever made my food went a little too crazy with the cayenne pepper and peppercorns because WOW, I would have chosen a different preparation for the meat had I known their version of "cajun" is really just a whole bunch of spiciness. The shrimp was wayyyyyyy over cooked and very hard, chicken was really juicy but I couldn't even finish eating because my mouth was on fire. The pasta was good as always but too much of the drippings from the meat was mixed in, I'll be adding a little more cream and cheese later on cause aint no way it's going to waste.

The food was alright but one of the pieces of chicken was undercooked and my sister got a stomachache after eating two plates.

Worst place ever to order food from a bunch of kids at the front and elderly people in the back. They talk so much that they can't get the orders through when you call the manager. He's walking around like a chicken with his head cut off like he doesn't know what's going on his own establishment. Don't waste your time going here for food.

Mmm...if you are looking for food that will warm your soul while satisfying your appetite, look no further than the Footprints Cafe. Your palate will be awakened by the bold flavors and mild heat in every bite. I LOVED the two orders of rasta pasta - one with stew chicken and another with curry red snapper. Just a little warning, the red snapper is SPICY. If you cannot handle the heat, then order the stew chicken. The rasta pasta and both proteins were well-seasoned. The chicken and red snapper (my favorite fish) were super moist, just melts in your mouth. The portions were very generous, so you will not be hungry any time soon. Trust me, you will not go wrong if you choose either of the dishes. Bon appetit!

Why is this place so inconsistent? When I first ordered from them the food was amazing. Anytime after that it's been a complete hit or miss. Some times they deliver fresh piping hot food full of flavor and other times it taste old or overcooked. I love their Rasta pasta when it's done right but since I never know what I'm going to get I will no longer be ordering from here I can't be bothered .

Pissed off. Food was terrible. Sauce for brown stew fish was bitter! No gravy for oxtails dinners. Never again. Had a large take order and the food was inedible. Not sure what's going on with Footprints but they fell off!

I wish I could give it a negative stars. the food and customer service is never before seen horrendous. I waited a whole 2 hours for okra, soup and pumpkin. The food was gross and the attitudes and lack of professionalism was beyond words. I will never go back and don't recommend anyone. cool at home or support better and faster to go restaurants

This is the WORST experience ever at footprints and the worst one out of their locations. Greeted with attitude which is very unprofessional and the young lady seemed to already be over it. Ordered our food and we set outside the place wasn't crowded which was good then when it was time to get the food the server instead of coming outside to ask what was our order number ask thru a glass and caught and attitude when she came outside to ask. For this to be such a good business footprints need to find people that want to work and that's dedicated to the business. Covid is still out and the numbers are going back up the worst thing you can do is have a business with workers whom have an attitude because they have to be at work. I would rather go to their other locations before I come back here. The rasta pasta is a hit or miss and today it was actually a hit which earned them the one star.

Thank you for being open during COVID. I'm really grateful for that! However, I tried to make my mom's Mother's Day a special one and ordered from here because like most folks, she's obsessed with Rasta Pasta. I placed the order by phone and was told it'd be ready for pick up in 25 minutes. I got there 30 minutes later and the cashier couldn't locate my order. A few minutes later, someone from the kitchen brought the order out and apologized for the inconvenience. On my way home, I realized that only the Rasta Pasta meal was in the bag and not the red velvet cake I ordered for dessert. Sadly, I had to turn back around and return to the restaurant for the missing item. There was a line outside and people were pretty pissed to see me high-tailing my ass inside for the cake but I wasn't about to wait on line again so I had to do what I had to do. Thankfully, my mom enjoyed both her Salmon Rasta Pasta and red velvet cake so I appreciate the food not being a disappointment. Stay safe and try to work more cohesively, Footprints. You're appreciated!

I stopped ordering from them about a year ago because the food was just nasty. I decided to give them another try today. I ordered Coconut Shrimp Rasta Pasta. As you can see the Shrimp is burnt and the Rasta Pasta taste like the container of salt fell in the sauce. This isn't Mc Donald's, I'm not spending a $1.00 on my food. There's no reason why I'm dealing with subpar food.. I recommend that you order from another Footprint. Footprint Express is a NO!!

DO NOT support this business! This is a statement from someone who is big into supporting black owned business. My wife and I decided we wanted West Indian food and decided on Footprints because it's technically on her way home from work. We ordered the Jerk Pork dinner, Rasta Pasta, with Oxtail and a side of curry brocolli to go. When my wife arrived to place the order, she was told the jerk pork was made to order and that she had to wait 30 minutes. Okay, cool. I'm into freshly made food. We live about 11 miles away in the Rockaways. When she got home 30 min later, we discovered there was no Rasta Pasta in the bag despite it being on the receipt that came with the order. My wife was tired and already had a headache, so I said I would call on her behalf. When I spoke to the receptionist, she was not able to help and placed me on hold for a manager. After about 10 minutes, the same receptionist came back to the phone without knowing why I was on the line. When I asked for the manager, I was told she was in the stockroom and to callback or wait. I decided to wait. After 20 minutes, I spoke with a manager and was given one option of a credit that had to be used in 7 days. It should be against the law to force me to pay for something I didn't receive. The charge should have been reversed. Who says we have the time to stop by within 7 days. Where we live, it costs a toll to get to this location. Strike 2. The jerk pork was not for human consumption. It was 80% all jerk fat! I was denied credit because after sending a picture, it showed some was consumed. I get it, but like I said, we live 30 minutes away. It was late and we needed to eat something. Imagine sharing a jerk pork meal where 80% of the jerk is not edible! Yeah, I know you can eat fat, and maybe my wife should have checked the bag, but this is ridiculous! Our hard earned dollars will not be supporting this business again! I never post. But I had to as you can see I'm thoroughly DISGUSTED!!

I this Footprints sucks, it's just right above their Coney Island location, which is the worst of the worst. I just left there, had to wait online with no one in front of me for 10mins, just to order a damn salad. I understand they do a lot of UberEats and DoorDash but with sooo many people behind the counter, why can't there just be one competent cashier behind the register? When one of the workers finally decided to take my order, she was the worst cashier ever. I got the short pudgy one with short hair, who for some odd reason couldn't believe that I just wanted a quick salad and had to repeat "Salad, only a salad?" 3x's and then somehow it took her 5mins to put just 1 salad in a bag. She asked what dressing I'd like, I said Italian and I guess she forgot in the 10 seconds it took to get the dressing bc I get home and I have ranch. WTH?! Do better Footprints. This is why I only go to and order from your original restaurant. ‍

I am so done with footprints. I am so mad that I gave them 3 chances. Usually the food is really good but the last 3 times were horrible. I usually order sweet plantains with my meals and they gave me expired sour plantains. It was just horrible I threw them away, never again.

Ordered The Fish Salad Tonight 1/22/20 One For Me And One For The Wife. Man.., These People Sent Day's Old Fish. Not Yesterday's Fish.., But Fish That's Like Five Days Old At The Least. Seems That What They Did Was Take Some Day's Old Fish Outta The Freezer, And Threw It On Top Of Some Sauce AndHeated It Up. Look at The Eyes Of Fish That Was Ordered Tonight And you Tell Me It's Fresh Or Not. I Ordered Thru Uber And They Think That This Allows Them To Get Off The Hook. Uber Didn't Make The Fish. They Only Pick Up And Deliver. How You As A Cook And Send Out Something Like This To A Paying Customer Is Insane. I'd Want To Outdo Gorden Ramsey On They Ass. This Is Terrible

Hey so I'm starving and hungry AF writing this. Why you may ask? Because I ordered my roti and spring rolls TWO HOURS AGO. I literally live FOUR BLOCKS from this location. I called DoorDash, they delivered the damn thing to the wrong apartment (someone got free food ). Then I called door dash then called footprints SEVEN times and each time got hung up on like it's not their effing issue to deal with. They gave me such attitude then my doordash driver says he went to the location TWICE and they still weren't done with the order. Omfg I should've ordered from ***Bake and tings**** Now they have me on hold for an ungodly amount of time and as soon as they hear my voice they either hang up or put me on hold. Whenever my order comes watch them only put 3 pieces of shrimp and some thin piece of roti. Thanks for taking your time especially during Coronavirus thing. After eating half I gave more stars....I was hangry.

Worst service you will ever experience sad to say. Order pickup an hour before, you will still wait hours after you get there

I just ordered 2 rasta pasta and jerk chicken to go. Cam home to eat my lunch and the restaurant pasta wasn't too bad , but the jerk chicken is disgusting....I don't know what this is definitely not jerk . They tried to put some type of sauce on it and . I called to speak to a manager so I can bring the food back and I was told the manager will be back at 5pm. Clearly no one was managing the food. Im so disappointed.
