16 Best Sushi Spots in Denver | Eater Denver

"Duy Pham is a name longtime locals trust. Having put his stamp on many a hot spot over the years, the veteran chef is now synthesizing his many years of experience at this Dairy Block attraction: The menu isn’t strictly Japanese (or even strictly Asian), but it’s no less intriguing for that. Think bluefin nigiri with blue cheese and scallions, scallop sashimi with truffled pea puree and Meyer lemon, or maki filled with preserved peach and shiso." - Gigi Sukin

The vibes here are lovely. Unfortunately, I just don’t think the sushi lived up to the hype. I’ve given this place a fair shot—once ordering à la carte downstairs, and once for the omakase experience upstairs. Starting off, I didn’t love the à la carte. For a high end sushi restaurant, the rolls seemed full of cheaper filler such as imitation crab and vegetables. It’s also worth mentioning that my first attempt at booking the omakase went terribly wrong. My husband had reserved counter seats months in advance for my birthday, only for us to get a morning-of call canceling our reservation with no reason. We scrambled to find a backup restaurant (thanks, Temaki Den), and needless to say, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. When we finally made it back to try the omakase, I appreciated the effort—the chef was kind and clearly passionate—but the execution just fell short. The rice was a bit too vinegary, some of the courses didn’t feel cohesive, and the lack of fish variety didn’t quite justify the high price point. I left feeling underwhelmed, especially considering the anticipation and cost. After multiple visits, I can confidently say this spot just isn’t for me—and I won’t be returning.

Google
So sorry Foraged but I gotta be rigorously honest and score ya low. The waitstaff was kind. But the service was unforgivingly slow. Getting the receipt to pay took way too long too. The food all came in a weird order. They messed up at least 2 orders. There was a 30 minute spacing minimum between the first item of food delivered and last item of food delivered. The Taki Udon Noodles with shrimp added was the best thing they had. $8.00 N/A Gold Athletic beer seemed to expensive comparatively. They don’t serve Red Bull or coffee. The edamame was very small pods. The steak 🥩 my friend ate he gave a 6/10 rating, the steak was overcooked and wasn’t seasoned well. The jalapeños were obviously out of the can and not fresh; they had a weird discoloration. The spicy tuna rolls had tuna that looked old, almost grayish. The oysters were so big and unpleasant, I sent them back. The asparagus was huge and too hard. It was very slow at 7pm on a Friday night and now I know why. Please work on service speed and food quality. ***Please note: there is a 22% service fee charge for parties of six or more.

We went here after a Rockies game and didn’t regret it! First off the chandelier was a view! Our bartender was great! They have many rolls to choose from and I loved the Bruce Lee Roll and Gyoza. My wife got the Kimchi Fried Rice and wow. I’m not a big kimchi fan but I would get it for myself after that!

Google
Exceptional Sushi Experience in Denver I recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic sushi restaurant in Denver and opted to sit at the sushi bar, which I highly recommend. Sushi Chef Grant served us, and his expertise truly enhanced the experience. He explained that much of the fish is sourced directly from Japan, which is evident in the freshness and quality of each bite. The sushi was top-notch, with beautifully balanced flavors and meticulous presentation. Despite the premium quality, the prices were reasonable—not overly expensive like a Nobu, but still delivering an elevated dining experience. If you’re a sushi lover looking for exceptional quality and a knowledgeable chef, this spot is a must-visit!

Google
Foraged offers a unique dining experience focused on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The dishes are beautifully plated, and you can tell there’s a lot of thought behind every flavor combination. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to explain the seasonal menu. The mushroom risotto was a standout, perfectly creamy with a rich, earthy flavor. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, making it a great spot for a relaxed evening out. If you're looking for a farm-to-table experience with a creative twist, Foraged is a must-visit!

Google
Foraged was unbelievable. My girlfriend and I had a top 5 eating experience ever there. We booked a normal reservation on Monday, but had the choice of sitting at the sushi counter when we arrived…. Great choice by us. The chefs were so kind and talked us through the process of making sushi and served us instantly. The sushi dishes were amazing in taste and look. The combination of the food, camaraderie with the chefs, and the uniqueness of the experience made it unforgettable. Oh, and the happy hour prices were insanely affordable. We will be back soon!!

I’m from Atlanta and was in town for a couple of days. My boyfriend reserved a table here for 7:00 p.m. for Valentine's Day. He saw on open table that this place was nice, it was pricey but we’re always down to pay more for good quality foods. We were fine with sitting at high-top tables, but we were not okay with the air we felt every time the door opened. I did not understand why the outside door was wide opened, but the inside door was open/closed. I only saw our server a handful of times. We asked to move tables but our server said it was fully booked. I could not even understand how or why after I tasted the food. It was SO SALTY. The cook, Logan, was nice enough to give us our Valentine's Special to go. They compensated us by giving us a discount for the long wait. I wouldn’t come back.

I have had much better sushi. The price just doesn't feel justified. The appetizer and entree were good as were the service and cocktails.

Yelp
Solid sushi in LODO. Came here on a Friday with a friend and sat at the bar... wasn't busy at all so the staff was super attentive and helpful. Started with a Lychee Martini... and had a few too many but super delicious and refreshing for summer. Crispy tuna is amazing, perfect bite. The pork belly buns are also amazing and hit the spot, the perfect two bites. Spicy tuna/ rainbow roll were also great.

Yelp
This place is conveniently located in Milk Market, near the shops and Maven hotel. I do like this place and think the Nigiri is good, but compared to other sushi in the area, I think it is the bottom tier. The menu is more modern and has more options for those who don't like fish or sushi. This is certainly a plus for groups, but for real sushi lovers, it's really not the best spot. I had no problem with service the most recent time I went! The bartender was lovely and the staff seemed to get along. I came here about 4 months ago and table service was a little iffy, but that was just one experience! I'll probably be back to this spot since it's in the area and I love sushi, but only if the other sushi spots are full

Yelp
Went to foraged with my family for Mother's Day. Solid 4 stars. The fish was fresh and the dumplings yummy. Our favorite was the foraged roll. A little spicy and all flavors blended well. My kids liked the smoked salmon roll. And the lavender lemonade with edible glitter- so fun! Also had the spicy salmon roll- decent. Lastly, a roll wrapped with cucumber and no rice- so great for Paleo diet- but wish it was a little more flavorful. Service was good but not excellent. Could have been a little more personable and taken plates away earlier. I think this would be a better date night vs early 5pm on a Sunday for a better vibe and cool lighting. However, we got happy hour on a Sunday- half off most rolls!! Can't beat that! Lastly, the dairy block is sooo fun! We wandered and took pictures and turned the music boxes on the wall in the alleys outside the restaurant after our early meal.

Yelp
Limited but quality happy hour, impeccable service! I visited Foraged for their happy hour on Monday and was surprised to see this place was practically empty! I was surprised because there's no reason not to check it out: the food was excellent, service top tier (Ross took great care of us), and the design is stunning. The interior is reminiscent of a modern upscale after hours spot, so maybe it's more lively later in the evening. I will say, although the happy hour selections are limited, their offerings were exceptional. I was so obsessed with that soy butter sauce that came with the edamame, I kept it to dip my roll in after we finished the appetizers! Maybe with a more accessible location this happy hour would become a regular for me, as I doubt i'll get lucky with parking on a busier day. Overall, superb experience and I look forward to more from this establishment!

Yelp
You can dine under a 370,000 handwoven crystal chandelier at this restaurant... FOR[a]GED is a dynamic, two-level Japanese restaurant & raw bar located in Dairy Block in downtown Denver. We arrived and were seated in the main dining room. The aesthetic was sexy with the alluring sparkle of the chandelier & burgundy seating. The restaurant's focal point resides in its astronomical goddess of a chandelier - it's gorgeous. Owner, Meghan Gold & server, Kaitlin were both wonderful; each made sure we had everything we needed while we dined. Meghan was a firecracker with evident passion for the restaurant & her team (she was so fun). We started our night off strong with a round of cocktails. The Lycheetini was made with Wheatley vodka, lychee, seasonal fruit, lime, and simple syrup. The Lycheetini was my favorite cocktail of the night - it was refreshing and tropical with light floral notes. The Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini was made with pumpkin spice slurry, Mr. Black Coffee liqueur, Wheatley vodka, and cold brew coffee. This martini was awesome - imagine all the delicious flavors of fall in a cocktail, and this was that. It had a rich, creamy texture and a hint of spice. The White Lotus was made with Hendricks gin, sake, pickled ginger, lime, and simple syrup. This was a fun drink with a sweet nose and a hint of citrus The FOR[a]GED Old Fashioned was made with coffee infused Buffalo Trace, vanilla bean simple syrup, and black walnut bitters. This coffee-infused old fashioned added a jolt to the classic drink. FOR[a]GED also has a great selection of beers and sake. The Crispy Rice was made with spicy tuna, jalapeño, sweet soy, yuzu kosho aioli, and micro cilantro. This was a solid starter; the rice squares went well with the dollops of spicy ahi tuna. The Yellowtail Sashimi was made with pickled jalapeño, micro cilantro, and mushroom ponzu. This was an extremely flavorful, yet light dish. The Gyoza was made with pork, spicy balsamic tamari, and spicy mayo. There were several options of Bao Buns, and we had the Pork Belly & Soft-Shell Crab. The Pork Belly buns were served with a pineapple hoisin glaze and citrus salsa. The Soft-Shell Crab were served with a citrus aioli. We had several Signature Rolls and the presentation on each were great. The Tony Stark Roll was made with spicy tuna, jalapeño, cucumber, cream cheese, dragon crab mix, Thai-chili sauce, spicy mayo, pickled jalapeño slice, and tobiko. The pickled jalapeño slice that topped the roll had the perfect balance between spicy and sour and paired well with the rounded, salty sweetness of the tobiko. The Zilla Roll was made with shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber, seared spicy salmon, sweet soy, spicy mayo, and chives. The Bruce Lee Roll was made with shrimp tempura, crab mix, cream cheese, minced garlic, Fresno sauce, unagi sauce, tempura crunch, scallions, and tempura fried. This roll was hearty and very savory. The FOR[a]GED Roll was made with crab mix, avocado, cucumber, escolar, blue fin tuna, sake-soy butter, garlic chips, and Thai chili-ginger sauce. The FOR[A]GED roll was creamy from the crab & avocado and the blue fin tuna that topped the roll was smooth and fresh. The Thai chili-ginger sauce added a nice little kick in spice. The Fried Rice was made with shrimp, green onions, and egg. The Tonkotsu Ramen was made with braised pork belly, charred Bok choy, kimchi, tamari soft egg, fried mushroom, and pickled onion. The ramen was characterized by a creamy soul-warming broth and all the umami & savory goodness of everything in it, from the chewy noodles to the tender pork belly. For dessert we had the Cheesecake & Lemon Creme Brulee.

Yelp
A beautiful spot for any kind of meal!! I booked a reservation on a Wednesday night for a work dinner, and the whole group loved the ambiance and food. A great pan-Asian menu include vegetarian options. Special shout out for the ube colada, which is hands down the best non-alcoholic drink I've ever had in my life. My coworkers and I still talk about it regularly!

Yelp
Classy, upscale feel. Great staff; they were slammed before Billy Joel concert but did a great job handling the crowds. Every employee i saw (sitting next to drink pickup at the bar so we saw **a lot** of servers) was professional and extremely customer service oriented. I was very hopeful and maybe it was just a bad night or the regular chef was out or something, but that was the ^^worst^^ bowl of ramen i have ever had. The broth was somewhere between dishwater and Campbell chicken soup. So disappointing esp at that price. My husband really liked his bao though so maybe i just got unlucky. The place is great- stay away from the ramen . All three stars are for the place and its people. Two missing bc my food was just *bad* tasting. I would have said something but we were on a clock to be somewhere.

Yelp
Some of the best sushi i have had in a while. We got three rolls as well as the crispy rice appetizer. We had great service, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Overall ambiance of the restaurant was terrific! I loved the cool chandelier as you walk in.
google avatar

Yelp
Very trendy restaurant that has a broad menu, but focuses on seafood and sushi. We got the crispy rice and three different rolls. I usually go for nigiri, but their nigiri is insanely overpriced for one piece, so we got some rolls that had mostly raw fish. The crispy rice is topped with chopped tuna. The rice was pleasantly crispy but the tuna topping was lacking. We also ordered the yellowtail roll, tuna tataki roll and the foraged roll. The tuna tataki and foraged roll were just ok. The standout of the night was the yellowtail roll. They topped the roll with pickled jalapeño and it complemented the yellowtail very well. The service is great and the decor is nice, but the price to quality ratio is really lacking for me. I would definitely come back for happy hour.

Yelp
The ambience and service were on point, the gyoza was the shining star of our selections. We actually left a fair share of what we ordered on the table. Huge selection of spirits and sexy ambiance on the front side of the Dairy block. Glad we tried it out but not feeling overly inspired to return.

Yelp
The vibe of the inside is pretty cool, especially once the sun is down. our waiter was so patient with our party being late and got us everything very quickly. I got the spicy watermelon Marg and it was delicious. Do not suggest the espresso martini at all. Maybe it was just an off night but our fish was not very good, an overall consensus from our group of 5. My salmon nigiri and smoke salmon roll were just alright. I did think their spicy Mayo was greeeeat and a little spicier than normal. Overall, I think there are better sushi places at that cost than here. I'd do somewhere else before coming back.

Yelp
Came here for NYE with a big group and was disappointed to say the least. Honestly the two stars are for the service as both the hostess and our waiter were super sweet and helpful but I'm sad to sad the food was meh overall. Started off wanting some hot sake but alas another restaurant that only serves cold sake and I was disappointed. Went with a Mule instead and it was bland and left a lot to be desired. Went with a miso soup instead in search of some warmth and it was so unbelievably salty I couldn't even eat it. I'm not a big salt person so I had my fiancé try it too and he said it was inedible as well. Moving onto apps, we ordered a bunch to share with the table. We got the edemame, the veggie gyoza, tofu bao buns, and charred broccolini. The broccolini and bao buns both came out cold. Like as it they were just taken out of a fridge cold... which was very disappointing. The veggie gyoza was so over spiced you couldn't even tell what it tasted like, but after one bite I couldn't even get myself to finish the rest. The edemame was pretty good though! As far as rolls go I shared the forager and the Tony Stark rolls and both were good but when I'm spending $22 per roll I'm expecting it to be great. The Foraged roll was definitely a fan favorite overall. A few people got some nigiri as well and said that was pretty good. It was New Years Eve and they were busy so we didn't want to continuously bother the waiter as the poor quality of the food wasn't their fault. Maybe it was the holiday rush that left all the food so subpar. (Although it really didn't seem much more crowded than it would be on any given weekend night). But I'm sad to say I don't think I'll be coming back here.

Yelp
First time here, it looks like a rowdy fun dinner get together restaurant. The interior was really humid im not sure why so we sat outside. Service was fast and attentive. The pork belly buns were more on the fatty side and I did not prepare for that. It wasnt the best fat to meat ratio. Fried shumai were over fried. They were too hard and dense to swallow without the help of water. And calamari was mid, its hard to mess up calamari. I was pretty surprised with the Thai tea being actual tea and not a form of powder. I dont think this place was worth it overall. The price were a little bit too expensive for such average meal. I was expecting some caviar for $20 sushi roll.

Yelp
Happy hour is everyday from 3-6pm and it's the best time to go! Half off sushi rolls, $2 oysters, $5 off sake, and much more. I bookmarked this place on Yelp, and stumbled upon it walking aimlessly around dairy block. The king salmon nigiri was $5 and worth every penny. It so soft and almost melts in your mouth like butter. The same we ordered was creamy which isn't not what I drink, but it was really good! Especially when I ate a bit too much wasabi, the same was a nice coat. The beer and a shot deal is a great deal! That free pour shot felt like a shot and a half. I live in SLC, UT where the bartenders have stoppers to pour exactly 1oz in your drink. I was a little toasty afterwards. The surf and turf roll is amazing and one of my favorites! It was also a first eating steak with my roll and it was great! The yellow tail roll was recommended by the bartender, but I didn't care too much about it. Great service, friendly staff, and wonderful vibe in the restaurant. Definitely coming back to try their omakase!

Brandon M.

Yelp
The best bourbon collection I have ever seen at a restaurant. They sell bottles as well. Friendly staff, great experience.
google avatar

Yelp
We were able to walk in for dinner on a Sunday night. The ambiance is nice with some stylish decor, there was a huge pinkish coral reef shell on top of the ceiling of the bar. There was plenty of seating that was evenly spaced so you had room from your neighboring table. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The sushi rolls were delicious. We were able to have good conversation since it wasn't loud in the restaurant even though all of the 1st floor tables were occupied. Good place to go!
google avatar

Hailey G.

Yelp
Was in the area and wanted to stop for a couple apps and a roll, so decided to try it out! It was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon. The server was really friendly and our food came out pretty quickly, which was awesome. The edamame was way overdone and whatever sauce was on it wasn't evenly coating everything, so it was pretty dry and flavorless. The gyoza was really crispy and the sauce was awesome! Super glad we got that. Our roll was okay, but all of the individual pieces were pretty inconsistent. Some had a lot of fish inside and some almost had none. Overall, wasn't blown away by anything, but service was great!

Yelp
This is one of my boyfriend's and my favorite sushi places, and this is the more fancier, stylish, expensive option - of our favorite two. We came here at the start of our relationship, this spring, and I loved the Lychee Martini. Last night, I ordered a mocktail - the Ube Colada - and it was a gorgeous purple color, with delicious taste, including pina colada, with ube and lychee. Even my boyfriend loved it. To start, we ordered the Summer Citrus Salad, for two, with blueberry, goat cheese, pine nut, pickled fresno, and orange vinaigrette. It came with arugula and orange slices. For rolls, we ordered the Black Dragon: dragon crab mix, pineapple, cucumber, seared spicy salmon, fresno sauce, sweet soy, and chives. Along with a California Roll. We repeated our spring favorite of the following nigiri & Sashimi: - Salmon: preserved lemon, shiso, sesame seeds - Mackerel: preserved lemon, shiso - Bluefin Tuna: St. Agur blue cheese, chives And I think in the spring we also loved the King Salmon: Kazami, aged shoyu, salmon roe, and scallions. We did not order dessert, however if we had, I would've tried the Lemon Creme Brulee. Next time!

Yelp
Regrettably, the dining experience at Foraged fell short due to lackluster service. Despite an intriguing menu showcasing locally sourced ingredients, the charm waned in the face of inconsistent attentiveness. Slow response times and a lack of enthusiasm from staff overshadowed the culinary potential. A sense of disconnect between the kitchen and the front-of-house diminished the overall enjoyment. While the concept of foraging for local produce is commendable, the service missteps detracted from the anticipated dining pleasure. A more seamless integration of service and culinary excellence would undoubtedly enhance Foraged's appeal and encourage a return for discerning patrons.

Yelp
Foraged is an amazing Japanese restaurant in LoDo Denver! The service was outstanding and very attentive. The best Pork Belly Bao Buns I've had in Denver by far! So good! Everything we had was well balanced and very fresh. The restaurant atmosphere was very pretty and modern as well. I recommend this place to anyone looking for an upscale Japanese restaurant experience in Denver.

Yelp
Food was 6/10, it was a little over priced for what we got, and it took a very long time to receive our food. The ambiance was nice. Overall not a bad experience but it is definitely on the expensive side.
google avatar

Sean K.

Yelp
Huge space. Fun atmosphere. Exceptional service. The dumplings are a must get. The tomato sashimi was a little salty, but very enjoyable. Veggie roll was adequate. Zakuro Kick cocktail was very very sweet. Prices are a bit steep and portions are small. Vegan options very limited. Food quality and service made the experience. 3.5 stars. Would return, if I had too but with so many options around town, I may not.
google avatar

Yelp
We just walked in for lunch at around 2:30 PM. It was quiet. Our waiter was so nice and we had some funny jokes in between. All his recommendations were on point. All the food was amazing. We ordered 2 more servings of the gyoza. Loved the modern style. Right up my alley. Definitely would come back when we're visiting Denver.
google avatar

Yelp
Calamari - awesome Mussels - delicious Sake - amazing Rolls - so so so so good Blistered shishito peppers - decent They were out of bao buns - which was super disappointing. The side salad was a bit bland. Didn't love it. Great place to have conversations and a good evening. Service was amazing. Great vibe overall.

Yelp
Don't come here for happy hour! I'm pretty sure they use different fish or something is wrong with the quality but the half off happy hour rolls taste so cheap. No bueno!!!!! On another note, during dinner, the quality is great. The hand rolls are my absolute favorite and the main rolls hit different too. Service is great and I like the atmosphere in here a lot. Solid 4/5 during dinner time and great for dates or groups.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was not good in my opinion. The spider roll was gross. Service and ambiance was cool
google avatar

EJ V.

Yelp
This was a very disappointing meal, and it was not cheap! We started with cocktails, mine was very blah and lacked personality. Our food was average. We said around a C-ish. Everything was bland and the fish was not the best quality. The NY strip handroll was trash. They use so much mayonnaise probably to hide the fish is sh1t. I gotta say, the service was a big bummer too. I made a reservation and then they moved us to the bar because they couldn't accommodate our party. There were plenty of spots open, I don't get that at all. So they sat us at the bar, and we got almost zero attention. I tried to ask the servers questions, one was too busy to deal with us, one disappeared and forgot to put in our order, and the other one "just moved here" so he didn't know anything about the menu. Couldn't answer a single question. I really had high hopes for this one, it was such a dud. Go to Hapa Sushi around the corner, it's exponentially better.

Benito A.

Yelp
Thank you Fooktani Jr, Rick & Nick, you three made us feel like we were hanging out in your backyard. The special Umi roll was a buttery melt cooling down the salt with the touch of lemon zest! Don't skip sitting up at the bar upstairs with these three!

Yelp
I think we just found our favorite sushi place in Denver! The ambiance of this place feels very club-like and we loved it. Our waiter was very nice and welcoming. Their happy hour ends at 6 pm, even on a Saturday which is rare. Their happy hour menu had a wide selection and we saw the value there. We got two of the salads and you can either get them in a small or large portion so we got two small portions. We preferred the roasted beet salad over the miso Cesar dressing as the latter had a very mild miso flavor to it. The roasted beet salad on the other hand was packed with complex flavors and textures. The vegetable gyoza was very tasty and flavorful, the dumpling dough was perfectly chewy as well. Whatever you do, get the foraged roll when you come here. This roll is buttery, tangy, and so smooth. I loved all the rolls but this one was my favorite by far. I will be coming here every time I am in the mood for sushi.

Yelp
Came here for Happy Hour (4-6) for the 1/2 Sushi rolls. Not only is the Happy Hour a steal, but the quality of the sushi is truly great. We got the following: 1. Tuna Tataki Roll: Garlicky delicious-ness with a substantial portion of sushi! 2. Salmon Tartare Roll: Was the cheapest roll we got but interestingly my favorite of the three. The texture of the salmon was just really good. I got a side of yuzu sauce and dipping a piece of sushi in it was just a great zesty combo. 3. Surf n Turf: This was very good especially if you like a flash cooked steak moment. 4. Spicy Tuna: Had a kick but was still very good. IMO Salmon Tartare was better than the Spicy Tuna. The cocktails are definitely not something to sleep on as well. I recommend getting here early for an early date night and heading over to 1-Up arcade for a Happy Hour drink deal as well :)

Nora C.

Yelp
We came in for a quick bite and ordered a wide array of items off the menu for a family style meal. Everything was delicious! Our waiter Ryann was amazing. He was attentive, friendly, and made the overall experience better! The Chuck Norris roll was an explosion of flavor.

Yelp
We ate here on a Friday night, the place was pretty empty. The ambiance is chill. The space is absolutely stunning. I loved the ginormous sparkly rock light/chandelier hanging from the ceiling. I had the spicy watermelon margarita which was refreshing. I think it could be spicier and with more alcohol. We had the Crispy Tuna, Foraged roll and Dragon roll. The Crispy Tuna was yummy but I wish the rice cake pieces were bigger! The Foraged roll was packed with imitation crab which I love (but imitation crab is quite the filler)! The Dragon roll wasn't super impressive but still tasty. I think the shining star was the King Salmon. It was very buttery and perfect. Service was okay - based on how many tables there were filled (about 25% of the restaurant) I think we could've had more attentive service. Their happy hour menu looks legit! Half off rolls. And they have a ladies night!

Yelp
Food: 5 stars Service: 2 stars Ambiance: 5 stars The area this restaurant is in is great! Great place to walk around after a full belly has been fed! Also the set up in the restaurant is beautiful! We made reservations of lunch. We didn't really need it. We ordered the vegetables gyoza, it came with a spicy sauce, so good! We also ordered the fried rice, there was a kick to it! Loved it! A bit on the saucy side, but that was a plus for me! We had bad service unforunitly, no smile, no personal connection, no eye contact. Seriously bare minimum. Go for the food!

Yelp
5/5 for service 3/5 for food 4/5 for drinks 5/5 for ambiance The Shishito peppers and bok choy were my two favorites of the night. Fish tasted like it had been sitting out a little too long or something and the crispy rice didn't impress me. My old fashioned was definitely on the sweet side, but I really enjoyed the zakuro kick was really good.

Yelp
Yeah!! I have this saying: I had to ball up my feet, so that my socks and shoes would stay on feet. The Surf n Turf roll was so good!! I wanted to order 2 more!! The pork gyozas were so fresh tasting, these didn't come from Costco. From what I can tell they have an excellent whisky bar, and service was excellent. This place is without a doubt, worth your time and effort. **Flight Attendant approved***

Yelp
A friend of mine and I stopped in for a late dinner the other night after a wine tasting in the Dairy Block. It was so dim in there we were worried they were closing soon. But nope, they didn't close til 11! We were sat and then scanned the QR codes for the menus. I couldn't decide between the tuna poke bowl or one of their sushi rolls. I asked the wait staff which one they thought was better, and she said the bowl. So that's what I went with. My friend ordered edamame and the soft shell crab steamed buns. I didn't 100% love my poke bowl, but it tasted fine and the tuna was good! But I did kind of wish I ordered the roll, after all. My friend seemed to like the soft shell buns, however struggled to eat them because the shape was rather odd and large, but they looked super cool! The ambiance in the restaurant is very clubby, it's really dark with a blue-ish/purple tint to everything, and a large crystal-like decorative piece in the ceiling. It looked like there were private rooms and an upstairs section. Would likely be good for a group work dinner if some sort.

Yelp
The food was good, the service was horrible. The waiter took my partner's order and as I started talking to order, we made eye contact and knew that I was ordering but he walked away. When I flagged him down, I said I would like to order. He said "I know it's fine." I waited for him to be ready to take my order and he still wasn't listening to me. So I said you walked away and didn't take my order. And again he said "IT'S FINE ITS FINE!" And did big hand motions and started to back away. I just wanted to put my order in with my partners so I said my order as he was walking away. We were so confused by him, and felt hurt that he didn't apologize and he dismissed our needs.

Yelp
It seems like there's always something just a bit off when I'm here. In my experience, there's never anyone at the host/hostess stand, and they seem to be frequently out of menu items and/or short -staffed. The food has always been good, so it's worth returning to for a late night bite or if you want to sit at the bar and don't care too much about service.

Yelp
Amazing late night happy hour menu. Definitely try the pork riblets - their version of wings + ribs. So tasty! *Late Night Happy Hour Sunday-Thursday 9-10 Friday & Saturday 10:00 to 11:00

Yelp
For[a]ged gives you that intimate sushi bar setting. Looks really posh inside and so is the food plating :) We thought we would need a reservation 7pm on a Friday night but we surprising easily got a table. Or it could also be we're still in the midst of the pandemic.. but all I can say is they have plenty of indoor sitting and in the outdoor patio too. It's right around the corner from Dairy Block. Everything from the rolls, plates and yakitori look amazing. I really enjoyed the For[a]ged roll and yellowtail appetizer. There's just something refreshing about it. Fatty tuna with truffle hand roll is OK. We thought of getting the fatty tuna bowl but glad we didn't because it wasn't all that. The NY strip is a bit dry but the saucy butter made up for it, especially the asparagus stalks. My friend and I weren't too crazy for the Crispy Rice tuna at all - it's kind of like munching into some croutons to me so I caution you not to get this one. Otherwise I think we had a splendid meal and drinks to boot. Our server was pretty attentive too and gave great recos overall.

Yelp
I was surprised to see the place pretty dead for a Friday night around 7-8pm. They have large tables so they can accommodate big groups. At least 6 large tables were empty on Friday. Could be that it's winter time. We sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks. Both very good and had a couple of hand rolls. We treated this place as our appetizer before going to dinner somewhere else. It didn't feel like anything too special. We'd probably try it again with different hand rolls/drinks.

Yelp
Everything we were looking for in a dining experience. The ostrich was especially nice and new for us! Cocktails were amazing too. Loved the Dairy Block discovery.

Yelp
This place is pretty cool. Love the music sections and the overall atmosphere here. Service was exceptional, really enjoyed our waiter. Food was great, im not a big sushi person so I can't say where this ranks in Denver but I throughly enjoyed it. Everything I had outside Og the sushi was also very good. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
Been here a few times now and I was super happy with the food last night! We got the Yaki Udon noodle hot dish, pork belly steak buns and brussels sprouts and let me tell you, I will be craving those noodles for a long time. Tons of flavor and cooked to perfection. Brussels weren't anything to write home about but they were great dipped in the leftover noodle sauce. Pork buns were yummy! The sushi rolls are okay.. not overly impressed. Will definitely be back for more noodles though!

Yelp
We wanted to love Foraged but it just wasn't it. We came for HH. Drinks are $8-$10 on HH, oysters are $2 and select sushi rolls are half off. Also select appetizers on hh. The lychee martini was good - vibrant in color, fruity, and tasty. The oysters were from Seattle. They were good and meaty and came with a mignonette. Pretty simple. The pork gyoza that we got tasted like they came out of the freezer. The ones I get from Costco are juicier and more flavorful. The tops of these dumplings were rubbery and almost stale. There was barely a streak of spicy mayo and any dipping sauce. The rolls - I have no idea how they can charge close to $20 without hh on these things. Every roll was filled with an artificial, mayo heavy crab mix that was overly sweet and off. We got the rainbow roll, soft shell crab, surf n turf and tuna tataki (this might've been the only one without it). Usually the crab mix is less overpowering at sushi places but BLEH. The fish on top of the rainbow roll looked days old, lacked flavor and color. There's a $1 charge for spicy mayo. I thought I was eating worse than grocery store sushi. I had waaaaay higher expectations for a place that is known for their fish and sushi. I'm a sushi lover - I can appreciate high end sushi and I can appreciate normal sushi. This was neither and super disappointing. Atmosphere is night clubesque. I know they have a late night hh, which fits with the vibe. It would be awesome for the vibe and the younger people that were rolling in if there was better music and sake flowing or something. And ofc the food has a long way to go. There are a couple of TVs so watching a game would be easy (without sound). Good location downtown. Did we come on an off day? I sure hope so!

Yelp
Visited Foraged for the first time on Friday early evening- around 5 pm. Based on my disappointing experience, my word of advice- stick to the other sushi restaurants downtown- you will have better price, service, atmosphere, and food; not to mention, cleaner. Cleanliness- To begin, my chair. My initial chair had a wet spot and a noticeable spot with lack of padding/springs. I about switched with the chair directly next to mine at the same table but noticed it was also wet and visibly dirty. Luckily, the adjacent table had a dry chair I could switch out. Next I noticed the place setting (small square plate) was also dirty and had dried residue on it- stole clean plate from table next to ours. My partner's place setting did not have any chop sticks so we also took some from next door table. Soy sauce dispenser and candle at table also appeared unclean and well used. Food- My partner and I ordered the pork gyoza for an appetizer. Gyoza as generally dry, rubberish, and underwhelming. Clearly something insta warmed from its frozen state after purchase from some restaurant supplier. We also ordered sushi- the spider roll and tuna tataki roll. The rolls were decent based on my taste preferences, but nothing extravagant and generally visually unappealing. Service/atmosphere/value- no happy hour on Friday evenings, so restaurant was pretty dead with only 3-4 tables occupied. Was pleasantly greeted by host and quickly seated. Restaurant was wanting to be trendy and upscale but soiled chairs, dirty table setting, weird smell, and lighting quickly diminished that attempt. Service was unremarkable. Was seated at table for ~5 minutes before waiter greeted. He offered to come back so we could decide on drinks which was asinine since we were ready to order and had been seated for a while. That was consistent for the whole visit- waited for service staff longer than reasonable for how dead the restaurant was. This included a wait for the check/credit card to be processed while our waiter traipsed across the restaurant and casually talking to the bartender. However, waiter was generally friendly and got the job done. For value- overpriced for what was received. $15 cocktails, $10 for 5 reheated gyoza, $16-17 each for sushi rolls.

Yelp
Awful awful awful sushi. The sushi from king Soopers is better looking and tasting than this was. My bf and I went for happy hour and if something seems too good to be true it probably is. The HH rolls were $5-9 each and they weren't even worth that. They tasted terrible and we ate 1 bite from each that we got. We did eat the vegan gyoza which was fine. Another thing that annoyed me was our server didn't say anything about us not eating any of the sushi and didn't ask us if everything was okay. I'm sorry, but be more attentive as a server and notice if your tables aren't enjoying their food. A waste of $60.

Yelp
Came here for the first time for a birthday celebration. We were a party of 10 and they were so generous accommodating us, including storing a cake in the fridge, providing a knife to cut the cake/offering to cut the cake in the kitchen, and providing extra plates. I also accidentally left my cake plate behind. When I returned, someone who I believe was the manager retrieved it for me from the kitchen, fresh out of the washer!!  Service aside, the food and drink was excellent. They have not one, but TWO happy hours-- one daily from 4-6, and another late night that varies depending on day. During HH, most rolls are half-off. I tried the salmon tartare roll, which had a great tender mouthfeel and came topped with crunchy tempura flakes and few spicy microgreens that complemented the dish. Overall, great for a group gathering or just for great sushi.

Yelp
We went here for an early dinner date night with friends and I'm glad we did. Great ambiance, great food, great drinks, great service! Loved the smoke in the Kemuri Gurasu drink. This was a perfect concept to share plates and try a bunch of items. The pork riblets might have been my favorite but everything was tasty. I forgot to take pictures of the pork belly buns, yellowtail roll, fatty tuna handroll and pork gyoza. I just couldn't stop eating to take a few pictures. Will be back for more!

Yelp
This place was amazing! The vibes are unreal, it kind of made me feel like I always at the cosmo in vegas! We had a group of 10, and the service was sooooo fast, checking on us every 10 minutes making sure to get our drinks refilled! I had the foraged roll and the dragon roll. The foraged roll was sooo fresh and would for sure try again! The dirty martinis were also probs the best I hve had!
