Canadian Rockies Dining Guide to the Food & Drink Scene | Eater

"A stylish, nature-inspired boutique hotel in a national-park town with contemporary outdoor-themed design, an on-site spa and hot tub, and two restaurants that showcase Rocky Mountain cuisine: a grand dining room with a wood fireplace for hearty breakfasts and a lounge serving elevated comfort dishes such as salmon-and-leek fishcakes, mac and cheese with Alberta Gouda, and butcher boards for evening dining." - Zoe Baillargeon

If you have plans on staying in the STL this is the place to stay. Extremely clean including the parking lot. There is always someone cleaning somewhere everyday. Great people, great room, and a balcony. Yes the interstate is loud outside but nice and quiet in the room.

The staff is SO NICE! And bend over backwards for the guests. New owners 1-2 years ago work very hard to make us feel at home here for a week. Not new and shiny, but everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable. There is no restaurant here yet, but plenty nearby, esp for a short drive. Love the neighborhood too, for walking in the morning.

The staff were great and the service was solid. But honestly, paying $310 for two nights in a one-bedroom felt way overpriced. The quality just didn’t match what I’ve gotten elsewhere for less.

I regret booking at the Forest Park Hotel in St. Louis. This is hands down the dirtiest and most uncomfortable hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I paid $355 for two nights, and what I got was worse than a $60 roadside motel. The room was disgusting from the start. There was visible mold inside one of the picture frames on the wall above the vent, stains on the box spring skirt that looked like body fluids, and hair stuck to it. The headboards were greasy and had drink splatters on them. The bathroom was even worse – the toilet was crooked, the corners had brown buildup, and nothing looked properly cleaned. The lampshades were dented, the balcony felt like a jailhouse walkway, and the hallways smelled like cigarettes and farts. Even the little things were neglected – dust on the desks and drawers, smudged patio doors covered in handprints, dingy and overused towels, springy and uncomfortable beds. The whole place had a dark, creepy, unkept vibe. The only thing that seemed halfway decent was the pool. What makes it worse is that the Red Roof Inn right across the street — which is a two-star hotel — is cleaner and better kept than this place. I would have much rather stayed there than here. That says a lot. I am unfortunately still here, trying to tough it out, because I already paid and other reviewers said this hotel doesn’t issue refunds. But for the price they charge, this is unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Save your money and book elsewhere. If your money is tight and you’re looking for an affordable hotel, go to Red Roof Inn over this. And what makes me even more mad is looking at the reviews I didn’t see before booking — and realizing they were all right. I should have believed them. The audacity of this place is crazy. The front of the building and the lobby look nice — cute decorations, nice couches, everything to make it seem welcoming. But the moment you get past that point, it’s all trash. The rooms are disgusting, it stinks everywhere, and on top of that the elevator doesn’t even work. I had to drag myself up to the third floor because the elevator was out of service. And you’re charging $139 a night for this? Never again. I wish I had done a walkthrough before booking, and that’s exactly what I’ll start doing from now on.

We stayed 1 night. The room was clean had bed bugs it does sound like someone trying to unlock the door at night. The elevators sound like it’s on its last leg. Serves no breakfast or any kind of snacks. Bathroom had no toilet paper holder no shampoo no conditioner or anything of that sort the staff are friendly not a bad hotel in a pinch the beds was comfortable they are pet friendly it does smell like weed in the building so just be aware of that if you have health problems.

Had a damp, musty feel to the room, floor and bed sheets. Traffic on internet is very loud. (Switching to across the hall wasn't aloud) * The customer service stinks. We was understanding of it being old and out dated for the price. Light fixture beside the bed was broken and dangling, plug-ins slide outta the wall. Wet/dirty towels wasn't replaced.

I experienced fraud and was unable to complete the booking and check in as my information was spoofed on a booking site and they canceled and charged the booking for a site that I did not intend and they would not offer hospitality in honoring the reservation as a solution to fix it nor work with the agency on a booking issue but was told I could just pay cash. The business is littered with long term stay/primary residence and lousy with off lable security that does nothing. This is a "once was nice" old holiday inn that has been debranded and has fallen into rent by the hour type status. A woman was carried inside unconscious and they acted as if that was business as usual. This should be avoided at all costs.

The staff is awesome. The hotel is older and the staff does a great job. The hotel does not have exercise center, restaurant or bar as I saw on their ad. Swimming pool was very nice and relaxing.
