I found a Piece of plastic paper in my soup :( I also found out the porridge was not regular porridge it was peanut porridge you have to inform ppl there is nuts in it due to any allergy . The lady did not inform it was a different kinda porridge . Other jamaican stores inform there will be a diff type of porridge. I see they have no grade Inspection on window but there is a picture online false advertisement and I took a chance with them . I will never come back food is not safe to eat and I don’t think they are cleaning properly and check the food .

Just came back from ordering from this place this my second time and I have to say over priced and I will take my money else where it’s always the girls they are extremely rude . They take my order far away I have to raise my voice to speak what I want. when you just want to ask a question about the food she did a horrible packaging job because I ask a question didn’t even hand me my food after I payed just packed it and walked away with a attitude this is the first soul food spot I ever went too that serve raw cabbage and I’m from Brooklyn . I also called before coming into the store too ask if the cabbage is cooked today or do they normally sell it raw she said it’s cooked as I went into the store I ask again she tells me it’s half cooked lol . Ox tails usually be good but today the food literally has big pepper balls as if they don’t grind the pepper correctly not trying to choke on pepper won’t be coming back to this store I rather go too the other soul food spot by the Q6 by McDonald’s but Unfortunately it’s closed on Sundays .

Fast pace lunch counter, had the Curry chicken over rice and peas, steamed veggies and plantain, mild seasoned...meh needs the Scotch bonnet.

Food was extremely good despite the exterior. You go here for the food not the look of the place . Have to thank them for using and honoring Groupon. I took a picture of the prices also as of October 5th 2022.

I walked into this place not knowing anything about it yet willing to find out. As I walked in there was a sour face old woman sitting behind the counter; she never bothered to make eye contact, nor greet me, nor inquired if she could help me. Instead, I was under the impression that she was annoyed that I came into her space. She face was already sour and she had the audacity to screw up she face even more. With that I exited as quickly as I entered. That being said, I couldn’t possibly say anything about this place except that it was unwelcoming and didn’t seem to care if I bought something or not so I won’t bother to return. I do suggest however that if they want people’s business they should be more inviting to potential customers because you never know who is walking into your business.

Booked and paid 5 days in advance for a catered event. Called the day before to confirm pick up at 12p. I get there at 11:50a to be inform the food is now being cooked and it won’t be ready. I had to demand a some type of refund and they didn’t even give me back half of the payment. The food ended up being 2 hours LATE!! As a West Indian, it’s disgusting that black business continue to do this to their communities. I would NEVER RECOMMEND them for events. Mind you the owner suggested that I could travel from Queens to pick up in Brooklyn. Should be SHAME

The jerk chicken is dry and way too expensive $37 for some jerk chicken is outrageous this was a big disappointment and the service was slower than molasses and not friendly at all will never go back there

Holy smokes. Was walking down Parsons Blvd for some lunch and saw the grill parked - then the smell hit me! For just $15 I walked away with practically three meals worth of jerk chicken smothered in sauce and Mac and cheese. Definitely at least two thighs, part of a breast and three drum sticks. Fall off the bone tender and moist. Some of the most delicious chicken skin I've ever eaten. Very nicely spiced, not too hot at all. Speaking of heat, the temp of my carry away container was piping hot. Extremely delicious and I feel so lucky to have accidentally walked by it. The gentleman who assisted me was really sweet, too. He was fielding a lot of questions from passerby's while he served me. Impressive multitasking!

I went on Sunday and ordered the BBQ Jerk chicken Sunday Special 2 pieces of chicken with rice , peas and cabbage. , The chicken could have been cooked a little longer. Food was mid , I will not be visiting again. FYI : Get the Groupon.

First-time ordering from here, I had a Groupon, so I decided to stop by. Quick friendly service, I ordered a small oxtail rice and peas, no vegetables. The food is hot and fresh, a nice amount of oxtails usually other places give you more rice than meat. I will definitely order again.

Whether at the restaurant, Forever Jerk near JFK Airport in Queens, NYC, or on the side of a random street in the boroughs, their jerk is one of the best in the city. Load it up with sauce. Jerk sauce is a bit spicy while the q sauce is sweet. Meat falls off the bone. We typically get a half or full chicken. They'll chop it up with a cleaver. Finger licking good! We love stopping by their tent and smoker setup on the way back from Gateway shopping, the beach, or the restaurant coming or going to 5 towns Costco. For the street side locations, the lines are frequently long, cash only, and they make to order. It's fun watching them smoke or grill the food. Typically standing only... and take out. I'm going to be very honest and transparent in this review as I am in all my reviews. I am of Jamaican descent and anytime I hear a rave going on about jerk chicken I always try to get to the spot lol. I visited this restaurant today located in the queens area. I live closer to the food truck they have on Pennsylvania Ave but the lines are always so long, so I said let me try this location. As I walked in there was only 1 person who was waiting so my order was taken right away. The man who took my order was ok, somewhat friendly but without a smile lol. I ordered a small jerk chicken rice and peas with veggies and fried plantain, and a small stew chicken rice and peas veggies and fried plantain. The sizes are very generous, you get nuff (a lot) rice . The food was also very fresh BUT did lack so many flavors. I'm honestly not sure if I would visit again but I'm definitely happy I got a chance to try them out.

Absolutely delicious food, this is a gem in the neighborhood. I was greeted by a very friendly and energetic young lady. She took my order a Jerk pork and a jerk chicken meal. Both were perfect juicy, tender meat with the subtle taste of smoke. This is a mild but flavorful jerk with the slightest kick. I added their sweet and their jerk sauce. So why the 4 stars? 1- they ran out of 2 of their 4 sides 3 hours before closing. 2-the restaurant could use sprucing up. 3-there's no parking.

Excellent Jerk Pork! Hot & delicious. Definitely adding them to the lunch rotation. Will definitely be back.

was a bit hungry decided to stop by, I ordered rice and peas and fried chicken.that food was so distasteful and horrible.. idk how they still in business? rice grains was hard, fried chicken fried too dry, the oxtail gravy taste burnt.... I regrets ever moment going there. I wanted to call back and get a refund .... i was so mad I throw the food out and decided to share my experience with the world...needs a new chef, hope they can get it right one day!!

One of the worst jerk chickens that ever had. Ordered a jerk chicken and a side of macaroni and cheese. It was bad enough that they called me telling me they didn't have any more mac & cheese. This was my first disappointment. When the food finally came, the chicken was so burnt it looked like charcoal.. Every single piece of chicken wasn't edible. a complete waste of money I was better off going to sleep hungry.

Finally had the chance to try the jerk chicken after watching the long lines up and down Pennsylvania ave. Now I will say that the 1st bite I took the chicken was fresh, but all I tasted was jerk no other seasoning so it made the chicken taste bland. As I always say with chicken is you have to watch the grill or you'll overcook and the chicken will be hard. I think I'll stick to peppas on Utica with the long lines!

Pretty good for some local food. It's hard to get good jerk around here these days. I remember when they had the food truck on the corner and a friend of mine said they actually opened up a location. I always stick to the jerk pork you can't go wrong. They serve very generous portions. I got rice and peas cabbage and plantains with my pork. And a side of Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese was simply ok, not by far the best Mac I've ever had but it can gwan. I was actually surprised they were out of oxtail gravy when I requested it for my rice. Overall food was good. Guess I came on a good day lol. Service was alright. I was in and out with my order. Next time I come here I'm going to try out their smoothies or juice. I like the versatility, and option for if you want to be health conscious.

I absolutely LOVEE Forever Jerk..I have brought pans of jerk for two occasions and it was a hit!! Everyone wanted to know where I got the jerk from.. I also brought the chicken raw to take to NC for a BBQ.. It was FIRE!! It grilled up great just like if I bought it from the guys outside in BK... I recommend this place to anyone who will listen!! Thanks FOREVER JERK!! I will be back for MORE!!

After reading an article published in the NY Times about this small eatery, I was fortunate enough to locate one of their stores in Queens. As stated in the article, the jerk chicken is slamming. I ordered the whole jerk chicken that was smoked and chopped up, the sides of rice and peas with mixed vegetables were delicious too. As suggested in an earlier review, jerk sauce is a must preferably on the side. Yea, it's the best tasting and cooked jerk around!

Because of the reviews, I went in with low expectations and left surprised. I went in on a Sunday evening shortly before closing and they were out of jerk. Ok, kinda expected that. The 2 ladies in front were kind, friendly and engaging (unfortunately that's not a normal reaction in this hood) so they offered the barbeque chicken. They let me taste it first and they gave me a pretty large serving for tasting. It was good so I ordered it. They also offered a tasting of the jerk chicken soup (never heard of that, but...why not). It tasted just like it sounds. I ordered a large soup. Not bad. I have returned a few times since. The jerk chicken had a smokey, firey taste which was great. The meat was dark meat, thigh and leg. Not a fan of dark chicken meat but in fairness I didn't ask for white meat. I will next time. When I went to purchase the barbeque chicken they were out of it so I got the jerk. When I went for the jerk, they were out of it, so I got the barbeque. The jerk sauce was a little perfumey, not traditional. Didn't care for it but I hope they do well. They just need to make the jerk available all the time. I mean it is Forever Jerk, right?

This has to be some of the absolute worst jerk chicken with rice & peas I have ever taste. The chicken was super dry and the rice and peas were hard as if it was cooked, frozen and reheated. I waited a long time for my food and overcharged. They have a juice bar but when I went to order the lady said they close at 6pm. Never again. NO

Lack luster customer service. They claim to do delivery in Uber eats but it's never available. Yet they advertise this a lot on their social media accounts. Sent the issue to the social media accounts and the response was maybe your ordering outside of business hours. After that I was left on scene as I continued to voice my opinion. So much for trying to help a business out. Go somewhere that's gunna appreciate you tryna help.

The reason why I don't recommend this place one it's a rip off two this is like the second time I went there and the chicken has blood inside it I ask to change it and they refuse ...... one I ordered a small jerk chicken by itself no rice nothing why they charged me $20 that's just crazy they need to investigate this place over charging people for food .

Food is ALWAYS BARELY warm. Cold even. Manager is a rude skunt. He shows no professionalism whatsoever. It's a business and customers should be treated with the upmost respect. PERIOD. The man was eyegazing me, yes staring. Smh! The cashiers are very nice people otherwise. Food is suffice but not the best. I won't recommend because the wait is overbearing. Cabbage & rice was okay. They have a juice bar as well I ordered a kale with strawberries & pineapples smoothie but it seems to me I had more kale than anything. Thats a negative for me. This place has the best jerk chicken in queens... The jerk chicken is amazing.. I usually have to go to a Resturant more then once to do a review. I can say each time I went to forever jerk, the jerk chicken has been on point. I haven't experienced the long lines and the long wait for new chicken to be made. I'm very thankful for that cause I'm coming from Long Island and when coming from so far, to have to wait is a no no so I'm happy I went at the right times.. Thank you for giving us a great jerk spot in queens, we definitely needed food like this in our area.. ******THE BEST JERK CHICKEN IN QUEENS******

It doesn't look like much... but the Jerk is very good. We had the meal with Jerk chicken and rice and beans. The portions were very generous. We ordered online through Yelp and then picked it up so we didn't have to wait. We are also ordered a small order of jerk pork which I gave to a friend of mine, and she called to tell me it was delicious and wanted to know where it was from. I look forward to trying the other items on their menu, they have Jamaican patties they have Jamaican roti different kinds of curry goat oxtail and all kinds of fish.

While the wait can sometimes be long, it is worth it. Overall the service is good (with the exception of one individual). Besides that, the jerk chicken is absolutely outstanding. Seasoned and cooked well with great sized portions for what you pay. The chicken is knowingly cooked fresh as you can see the grill before you even walk in the building, blazing! Don't forget to get some extra sauce on the side. They always have some even if it's not on display. Ask. You won't be sorry. Last complaint: i just wish they were on Uber Eats.

I like this restaurant. The Jerk chicken is awesome. The juice bar is great as well. Customer service can be better, there are some really nice people working in the spot. The food variety is pretty good as well. If I had to recommend a jerk spot this is the place hand down. Give it a try you will be greatly satisfied.

I would like to know why y'all call y'all selves forever Jerk when your forever out! What kind of establishment are y'all running that it says y'all deliver and y'all don't. You say you close at a certain time but your out of chicken hours before you close. Your servers have a bad attitude and your unorganized. To be honest your food is decent but I've had better. And the only reason they get all of this business is bc your the only Jamaican restaurant in this area. Be humble and do better.

I have tried many brown stew chicken but his one exceeds all. Even the most popular one in queens, some are too sweet and not savory but this place OMG it's my go to for stew chicken, Calaloo and bananas, their jerk my 4 year old can't stay away from. The only down side is they need to hv more organization upfront. The wait is a little long. They need to work on that. Besides that this place is my favvvvvv

Went here with my husband who was really in the mood for some good jerk chicken. We read some mixed reviews but decided to give this place a try anyway. The jerk was very dry and did not have great flavor and it didn't taste fresh. We went at around 4 pm. The rice was even worse. The sweet plantains were hard and cold. We also ordered a cow foot soup and it was just OK. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Great food that has so much flavor! I wish the meat was boneless because i hate getting bones in my mouth, but other than that, i love the chicken with rice and plantains! The rice is always moist and melts in your mouth. The portions are so big that i always have enough leftovers for a second meal!

I was referred to this particular restaurant for some good ole Jamaican jerk pork and/or jerk chicken. I absolutely would love to admit that the experience was really good. I would recommend getting your jerk sauce placed on the side because it can be a bit spicy!

Hands down the best jerk chicken restaurant in South Jamaica. Smokey and well seasoned. But they need to start serving white meat. Currently they only serve leg quarters. It's your Friday night spot and they are very kind with the portions, my serving is always filled.

I'm so grateful to have this place within walking distance. After your first taste of jerk chicken, you'll be on that line for the 3-15min wait without fuss. It's DELICIOUS, with or without additional sauce, I've also had soup, oxtail and fish and they are all flavorful. I've been a patron (food truck) since I moved to the neighborhood 2 years ago and I am extremely proud of the evolution, which wouldn't be possible without both good food and service! It takes forever to get your food. 30 minute wait for Jerk Chicken! The item which they are known for? Why? I d in my care for the other food but the jerk chicken is good but the wait it too long.

Great food, best jerk in queens, the oxtail is super tender and the soup is so good, I love the fried dumpling and festival and you get to choose from a bunch of amazing sauces on the side. I highly recommend!

I can't understand how the jerk chicken could be so good but the curry chicken could be so bad. I spent $12 on my plate today and I'm thoroughly disappointed. The chicken isn't even cooked all the way through folks and there is no flavor. I'm shocked. People love you guys. I like you guys but this has me rethinking if I want to bet my money on a meal there again. And I didn't even get a receipt to bring it back since I didn't realize this until I got all the way to the city already. You must do better.
