Fork and Plough absolutely lived up to the hype. From start to finish, the food, atmosphere, and service were outstanding.
We kicked things off with the Brussels sprouts appetizer, which was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. My wife enjoyed a skinny margarita that was refreshing and well balanced. For our starters, she had a fresh, well-composed salad, and I went with the pork belly paired with fried green tomatoes, topped with pimento cheese, an incredible combination that was rich, savory, and uniquely Southern in the best way.
For our main courses, I had the pork tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, while my wife had the blackened shrimp, which was seasoned just right and absolutely delicious.
Dessert sealed the deal. We shared the poppy seed lemon cake, which was light and flavorful, and I also had the key lime pie; bright, tangy, and the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal.
The only minor critique I have is that the music in the bathroom was extremely loud. I understand the need for ambient music in the dining area, but it was a bit overwhelming in that space. That said, it’s nowhere near enough to take away a star.
Overall, Fork and Plough delivers across the board excellent food, great service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend and definitely a place we’ll be returning to.
