"The Foundry is the go-to spot for brunch in Davis Square. The large dining room has plush leather seats and the menu consists of really good omelets, benedicts, and various sandwiches. The poutine here is a particular standout for its crispy fries, but we also like the eggs in purgatory, perfect for slow mornings when you need some spicy tomato sauce to wake you up. Make sure to save room for dessert, because the crispy on the outside, soft on the inside beignets with chocolate sauce are a must. " - lala thaddeus

Food was great but a bit pricey. The environment was very nice. The grilled cheese was especially pricey but all the food was flavorful and enjoyable.

Went here for valentine’s day dinner. The food was delicious!!!!! We ordered off their pre-fixed menu and then ordered a mushroom starter (i can’t remember the name but it was SOOOOO good). The wait staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond. The short rib was incredibly tender and cooked amazingly, the chicken fell off the bone, the wagyu tartar was the star of the night though. The flavor was absolutely incredible i would love to come back here. The hostess noticed when she seated us that our table was wobbly and my partner and without saying anything to us she came back and asked if she could fix it- we weren’t bothered by the rocking but it definitely made our experience better and we appreciated it! Our waiter boxed our leftovers up too and was just incredibly kind and attentive. Truly a 5/5 experience.

Google
Delicious restaurant with great, creative drinks and SUPER nice staff who seem actually happy to serve you. They have incredible brunch. Pork belly Benedict was original and delicious. The pork belly was crispy and not greasy at all. Eggs in purgatory had great flavor. I think this going to become my go-to place in Davis 😊

Google
The food here is amazing. You can tell a lot of thought and consideration went into their menu, and the quality of the dishes are outstanding for the price. Cocktails are extremely inventive, strong, and beautifully presented. I've visited twice - including for NYE - and have always felt like a valued customer even when the place is full. Highly recommend for a nice date / celebratory dinner spot.

I’ve been a regular here for the past year or so, and this place is fantastic. Last Valentine’s Day, they accommodated my wife and me even though we had no reservation (other plans fell through) and quite literally made our evening. The food is always good, the atmosphere is unique, and staff is friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a unique dinner experience.

Google
I dined here recently for the first time with a group of friends to celebrated a birthday. I only have positive things to say about this establishment. The staff was attentive, fun and very professional (Cole was excellent!). My friends had the oysters for an appetizers and were raving about how delicious they were! I ordered the steak frites for my dinner and it was heavenly! I had a cake set aside to surprise the birthday girl and the staff was able to keep it all a secret until it was time to bring it out for dessert 🎂 Thank you so much for a memorable first time here! I will definitely be back

Came for dinner before a concert and had a great experience! We ordered the burrata and a steak to split. Burrata was thoughtfully presented and the figs and pomegranate were nicely paired with arugula. The steak with chimichurri was cooked well and extremely flavorful. Service was great too!

Google
Such a great, neighborhood trendy restaurant and bar! Cocktails are always fantastic (although slightly experimental in my opinion) and while the food comes second, it’s still amazing. The grilled cheese and soup is a go-to for a reason, definitely worth ordering it! The Brussels sprouts are also always on our table. We’ve walked in more times than made a reservation and I’d recommend that you make one just in case. That said, the longest we’ve had to wait was about 15min during dinner rush for 4. 2-3 cocktails + light food is around $40-60 a person, pretty typical for the area!

Yelp
The staff were friendly and helpful. The food hot and delicious and was served quickly. The seating was comfortable and the place has a great vibe. A super place to enjoy dinner for two or a group of friends. Lots of choices on the beer, wine and mixed drink menu.

Yelp
This placed surprised us for brunch yesterday! We came here for brunch before heading into Cambridge in Boston for some sightseeing with my family. The place wasn't too busy yet because I think we were a little early for the brunch rush. We were seated immediately and our server came over quickly with water and took our drink orders. Our food came out quickly, which was great, because we were starving and in a little bit of a hurry. I ordered the pork belly Benedict, which was delicious. Pork belly was good and not too greasy, the eggs were poached perfectly and the buttermilk biscuit was spectacular . My brother ordered the Tres leches French toast, one requested without the fruit. I got to snack a couple bites of this one of them was unable to finish. Wow was that French toast delicious! It's a little sweet, but not overly sweet and the French toast was made perfectly, fluffy in the middle, and a little crisp on the outside. I'll definitely be back to this hidden gem in the future. Location is great right in Davis Square only about a block away from the T station.

Yelp
If you are looking for a low key bar with good apz and astmosphere. This place is for you. . Inside feels intimate and luxurious , a perfect spot for first date or a romantic hang out . A little hard to find at first when you have to look for a small glass door with the res name on it, and walk down the long stairs to get into the res They have a lot of cool drinks option here, depend on your mood, but I love their truffle fries!!!! The best fries I have tried in a while Downside: pricey and the service is not good

Hayward L.

Yelp
Spacious gastropub with very good food and an extensive drinks menu. Came on a Monday and enjoyed some football and $2 oysters. The burger is pretty darn epic, it's so rich and decadent. However I was a little disappointed by the other aspects besides the food. We were served by several different waiters. One brought us the wrong beer (it turned out to be non-alcoholic), then brought the right one - but ended up charging us for both beers despite it being her mistake. Price-wise a lot of items are expensive and not great value for money. Warning that there is also a 3% additional service fee added on the bill, which is pretty annoying considering some of the staff paid minimal attention to us.

Tiffany H.

Yelp
Great location. Was visiting my daughter in Cambridge n didn't know where to go n this place was able to accommodate us. Drinks are great. Prices reasonable.

Julianne W.

Yelp
Such a good spot for a nice dinner. Service was fine, not fantastic but not poor. The dinners we got were great, the truffle ravioli and fish and chips pictured here were top notch! Fair warning, the truffle ravioli are filled with truffles, so if you're not 100% into truffles, perhaps stay away! Ambience is upscale, but you could probably get away with jeans!

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday morning for brunch and the place wasn't too busy so we were seated quickly outside. Service was a bit slow - it was hard to get our server's attention outside since they weren't always around and food took quite a long time despite the place not having a huge amount of people. We ended up waiting over 40 minutes for our food which wasn't ideal, but we didn't have anywhere to be so it wasn't the worst. The sticky bun was good, but it was a bit small and pricy for what came out. The main entree I got was extremely small for its price and wasn't worth the wait either - definitely wouldn't return for brunch if all portions are this tiny. Overall, food tasted decent but the size and long wait left for a lackluster brunch. I probably won't come back unless someone else really wanted to come, but that's just my personal preference. Regardless, I'm glad I tried Foundry's on Elm so now I have a baseline of what to expect!

Yelp
No nonsense restaurant serving good pub food along with a solid beer/ drink selection. Stopped by here for dinner last night with my brother and a friend of ours. We made a reservation the day of - wasn't too difficult to get one set thankfully. When we arrived, we were promptly seated. The interior of the restaurant is very nice - the bar is illuminated nicely with warm light, and the booths and tables have comfortable and spacious seating. For food and drinks we each got the following: * Me: Smokescreen and The Foundry Burger + Avocado w/ Truffe Fries * My Brother : Bananasaurus Rex and Fish and Chips * Our Friend: Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale and a Grilled Chicken Sandwich w/ a Side Salad Our drinks came out pretty quickly and were fairly good. My drink was tart and tart and scotch forward which was quite nice. My brother's drink wasn't quite what he expected - for a drink with Banana in the name, it was actually more citrusy than anticipated. Our food took a little longer to come out and for me was me, my meal was more warm than hot by the time I got it. With that said, everything tasted great and we all enjoyed our food. My burger was cooked to a perfect medium and was quite delicious - the cuts of meat used in their patty make a very good quality burger. The truffle fries while not a hot as I would like tasted awesome. Huge emphasis on the truffle flavor which I quite enjoyed. Service wise, everyone we interacted with was very friendly and attentive to us if we needed anything. All in all, Foundry on Elm is a solid spot to come in for a meal and drinks. The brunch menu here looked great as well so i'd definitely like to come visit and check it out sometime. Food/Drink: 3/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Total/Average: 4.33/5

Yelp
Had a great time at the bar while watching football last nite. Got some good cocktails from Benjamin who was a great bartender and could adjust when requested. I had a burger that was maybe a little less done than medium but very tasty and the fries were extra crispy as I requested (I've had way too many floppy fries lately). Friend enjoyed his oysters and his wings were good. Comfy bar, not filled with idiots, good time.

Yelp
So I abandoned this place years ago! However, we needed a sting and a bite and tried it again. Drinks were really good and the salad and appetizers we split between the 4 of use were delicious and fresh. Drink went down easy and we're tasty; love a good cocktail. Staff was polite and attentive. We're we're at the bar, my SOP, and the dinner rush was building and the place ran ticky-booh. Will put it back on my list of good places to try some old favorites. Ambience is styling American restaurant and long beautiful bar. Drop in with confidence.

Yelp
Foundry on Elm is a decent upscale bar in Davis. The ambience suits a young crowd with R&B tunes on a Friday evening. This place can get crowded at peak hours. The food tastes amazing but I wish the proportions were different. If you notice in the pictures, the meals we ordered came with bread, and underneath hidden is amazing sauce. The amount of bread is not enough to clean up all that delicious sauce and we had to order more! Unfortunately we had to wait an extra 10 minutes just for 4 extra pieces of bread. I'm not quite sure if this is normal, but the Maine mussels are small. Probably half an inch in diameter. These were some of the smallest mussels I've ever eaten yet they tasted the same (but with better sauce). I would not get this again unless I was already full. Overall Foundry had delicious food, great vibes, but can get crowded during peak hours and you'll have to wait long for extra sides of bread because they only provide two small ones per meal.

Kim C.

Yelp
The best grilled cheese and tomato soup. Great service - always sat quick and leaving satisfied.

Unhappy C.

Yelp
This place is to be avoided. I ordered a dry martini and got an upcharge for not adding vermouth. I asked for the manager who was as unfriendly as it gets and backed up their bogus upcharge. Why would you charge more for less ingredients?

Al D.

Yelp
Every time we go to the Foundry we feel the warmth and attention we appreciate so much. The place has great ambiance. Don't assume they serve JUST Pub Food. We go there because along with the Davis Sq atmosphere is very intricate and creatively prepared food. The menu changes frequently (seasonally) so just assume what they are offering is going to be tasty, and ample. Oh, and did I mention they have great bar tenders and servers? Yes indeed. The Foundry has become our "go to" place. I highly recommend giving them a try - you will go back - I guarantee.

Nina N.

Yelp
This is a fun, festive place for a drink, dinner, date night or solo bite at the beautiful marble bar. Have fun and listen to cool music and discreetly glance at the tv (but not in a loud, boisterous, typical "watching a game at a bar" vibe.) It has a Parisian bistro feel which is lovely and you can get dressed up a bit if that's your thing. The food was good. I do wish the cheese plate had more generous pieces and was more full of the accompanying things (the grapes and other nibbles with the cheese board were a bit skimpy) and better quality bread - what they served was more like a large crouton. I enjoyed the gem lettuce, apple and avocado salad, and my husband had a very good cheeseburger with a fried egg. The fries were good. I think if they knocked the prices down just a tad, even a few dollars on some items, it would feel like a place that would have more regulars and move it into 5!star territory. But as it is the food is good, not outstanding for the price. Still, it is a nice option in Davis Square for something different and a bit glam.

Yelp
We've only been twice, both times for brunch, but we love this place! The food is quite excellent and not overpriced IMO. I'm surprised another reviewer said brunch portions were small; that hasn't been our experience. In fact, I brought half of my meal home in a doggie bag. Great atmosphere and great food. Service could be more attentive and I'm against the "kitchen fee" they force on diners. I leave a 15% tip instead of 20% to offset the kitchen fee. I resent employers making customers pick up the slack for their low wages.

Allegra P.

Yelp
Feels classy inside in a dressy casual way. Lots of beautiful people ( personally I noticed more women than men) and the staff are very very nice! This place has your classic $14 glass of wine and I saw someone ordered Beef Tartar that looked really good. I went for drinks and would be very glad to go back. As an added bonus, I was here following a show at the Crystal Ballroom, and the headliner came here after the show! Cool celebrity spotting.

Della S.

Yelp
My friend raved about the burger here, so I decided to try it out. We started the meal with some cocktails-- at $13 each, the cocktails aren't necessarily cheap, but are priced similarly to other establishments that have the same vibe. The "parley" (mezcal, montenegro, banana, lime) had a subtle smokiness from the mezcal. I was a bit skeptical of the banana at first, but the flavors complemented each other super well and the drink as a whole was tart and refreshing. The "float like a butterfly" (cachaça, batavia arrack, lime leaf syrup, lime, butterfly pea flower) had more subdued flavors-- its selling point is its pretty blue color. The alcohol was strong in this one. The foundry burger ($17) comes with fries which you can upgrade to truffle fries for an extra $2. The burger itself has truffle aioli but the truffle flavor didn't come through very strongly. There were a lot of pickles! I liked how the bun was soft and fluffy and the burger was super juicy. While there were a lot of pickles on the burger, the pickles did not add a lot of flavor. The burger itself was also underseasoned so the flavor of the meat did not shine through. Like I mentioned before, the truffle aioli barely had any flavor. I would say that the burger has an awesome texture but could use a more complex flavor profile. I wouldn't recommend upgrading the fries to truffle fries unless you are a fan of soft fries. I prefer my fries to have a crispy exterior and these fries did not have that. However, the truffle fries did pack a lot of truffle flavor and the truffle aroma filled the air around us. For $17 I was expecting a better quality burger. The place also had a bit of an indoor fruit fly problem since a few of them were buzzing around us and one landed in my drink. Sad.

Amanda C.

Yelp
Big fan of this SPOT. The vibes were tremendous - sat outside on a GAWGEOUS Sunday. Food was phenomenal, i got the Tasso ham and sweet potato hash - it was everything I needed in my life. Chimichurri on the eggs, perfectly grilled 7 grain toast, kale for a little health - bone apple teeth. Drinks were eh, got an aperol spritz which was very average and a peach Bellini which was decent. Server was pretty good, kind woman - forgot my hot sauce a few times, but redeemed herself by bringing me a couple options. Will definitely be back and honestly probably for brunch again because that food was yum.

Meg C.

Yelp
Good drinks, friendly service, "nice bar but not too fancy" vibes, but really bad fish n' chips. I could not finish the fish n' chips, the batter was really thick and soggy and didn't stick to the fish at all. The fries didn't really hit either, wish they had been hotter. My friend liked his burger and they had some interesting cocktails and good beers, but I'd probably only return here for drinks.

L L.

Yelp
I hadn't been here in years and finally returned on Wednesday night. We had an excellent server who gave helpful advice and knew the cocktail menu so well. We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately in a comfortable spot. I had a few cocktails, and each one was well-balanced and tasty. The people I was with enjoyed their cocktails, too. I ordered the poutine, and it was hot, cheesy, and the fries were crunchy even with all the yummy gravy. My friends had chicken wings, truffle fries, and the tomato soup and grilled cheese. Everything was delicious, and the server let us take our time. I look forward to trying brunch here because the menu sounds great. The interior is clean, spacious, comfortable, and a combination of classic and contemporary design. Overall, we had a great time

Carlotta C.

Yelp
Cute and reliable brunch spot in David Square. Nothing more, nothing less. Good options for everyone and attentive service.

Dil S.

Yelp
Great cocktails, nice apps and entrees. Calamari, French onion soup, and fish & chips were flavorful. Goddaughter and espresso martini were solid. Interested in trying other menu items. Service was patient and attentive.

Jon B.

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner here on a Friday at 7:30. All I can say is that the food is excellent as was the service. The flavor combinations are a testament to the kitchen staff. Very well executed and portion size are perfect. Great vibe and busy great mix of patrons of all ages.

Mike S.

Yelp
Wonderful service and very good food solidly recommend a visit. We had great appetizers and the entrees were fantastic

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Such a beautiful, cozy space! Dark wood tables and crimson seats with soft dim lights makes Foundry on Elm a wonderful place to spend a winter night. There's a parking lot conveniently within 5min of the restaurant. The tables come with little coat racks, which was a nice touch. I started with a mulled wine: red wine, honey, and baking spices served piping hot that'll definitely keep you warm. For my entree, I got the coq au vin- wonderfully tender and infused with burgundy. I do wish the bacon lardons were crisp to add some textural contrast, but their rich salty flavor did liven up the chicken. The heirloom carrots, pearl onions, mushrooms, and whipped potatoes helped to round out this hearty dish. I finished with the crème brûlée- the carmelized sugar had a great crack, and the custard was light and sweet. Would love to come back!

Emily C.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best restaurants in the Davis area! While it is a bit pricey, the high quality of the food is definitely worth it. Every dish I've tried has been amazing, but what keeps me going back year and after year is the burger. The burger is similarly priced to anywhere else in the Davis area, but is so much better than anywhere else. Also, the side salad is incredibly good -- the little leaf greens and tomatoes are so fresh. The cocktails and beer selection are also great, so it is an incredible meal all around.

James Z.

Yelp
Foundry on Elm is one of my go-to spots in Davis. Their drink selection is great, the atmosphere is chill and kind of classy, and their food is usually great. The grilled cheese and tomato basil soup is THE best thing in the menu imho. The grilled cheese is very cheesy, the bread is heart and perfectly grilled, and the honey drizzle add this sweetness that compliments the smoked Gouda and cheddar in a heavenly way!! Your fingers will get a little sticky so ask for a wet nap. The tomato basil soup is really flavorful, not too creamy, and is a epic dipping sauce for your aforementioned grilled cheese. Order this, you won't regret it! The dry chili-spiced chicken wings are delicious! They came out piping hot, super tender, and with a nice chipotle aioli dipping sauce. Loved this appetizer. The Foundry burger is OK. The tri-blend of beef is really hearty and flavorful but the charred onion was a bit overpowering for my tastes. My burger was also kind of small. It also doesn't come with any lettuce which I felt was odd. I wouldn't recommend the burger honestly. The Tuscan kale Caesar was decent but instead of croutons you get crispy chickpeas which sort of got stuck in my teeth like candy. There is also a sort of Brussels sprout aftertaste to the dressing that was a tiny bit off-putting. My friend enjoyed the winter greens, it was filling and flavorful. The crème brûlée was ok. Had a bit of a burnt taste to it as if it was torched a little too long though. Their flat breads are pretty good, I've had them a few times! Overall, Foundry is a great spot for a date or a nice dinner out. A good selection of drinks and the BEST grilled cheese around!

Andrea K.

Yelp
Super delicious every time I have been for brunch. The tres leches French toast is to die for! The burrata salad was so good and beautifully presented. Good cocktails, good service, nice space. Overall definitely recommend.

Nicki L.

Yelp
Cute patio in Davis Square. We arrived at 5:30 on a weekday evening and it was empty. It filled in nicely by the time we left. The food was fresh and cocktails were creative. My only complaint was the tomato soup, it tasted more like marinara sauce than soup - very thick. The inside portion of the restaurant was beautiful. I'd like to go back to check that space out.

Olivia W.

Yelp
Cute spot in the heart of Davis Square, has a good size indoor space and patio. We ended up coming here on a Saturday night because a lot of the other restaurants in the area didn't have any openings, but Foundry had a few spaces left to squeeze us in. Service was quick and friendly, but the table itself was fairly small for the amount of food and drinks we ended up ordering. We had the charcuterie board and a few different mixed drinks - everything was good, but the price was a little steep for what you get. Overall I'd come back to Foundry and try some of their entrée items to give it a fair shot.

Julie P.

Yelp
We come here whenever I'm in Somerville, we love it. The service is excellent the food is so good. I love the cozy warm atmosphere, perfect for winter dining. I highly recommend this place!

Pavithra R.

Yelp
Walked in for quaint Friday night for a dinner. Amazing ambience and lighting! Plenty cocktails options but food options for vegetarians were veryyy less and we literally ended up ordering the two available options for veg. The grilled cheese with hot soup was a star and the Mezze platter was filling. Good for a visit on weekends and if you are a meat eater you gotta treasure here!

Amanda S.

Yelp
Located right next to the burren, this spot has outdoor seating right on the street. Though this is great for COVID precautions, the tables are pretty slanted & wobbly because of the pavement. I got the pork belly Benedict which came on a nice thicccc biscuit. The biscuit was delicious (buttery) and the hollandaise sauce was creamy with a hint of lemon (?). The pork belly was OK but pretty difficult to cut. Overall I thought this place was a bit over priced with $5 for a cup of hot coffee.

Christine B.

Yelp
The food is not particularly creative yet it was amazingly delicious. Tomato soup and grilled cheese is a perfect example. Served on a wooden board with rustic bread, it was delightful. The cheese board selections were well paired. The fish and chips delightful. The gnocchi fresh. Portions are large and our server got all 10 of our orders down perfectly. Nice kids menu as well. Worth it!

Jeff B.

Yelp
High prices. Small servings. Mediocre quality. The calamari serving was a half serving. The $18 burger was snack-size and the size of a large slider. The tomato soup had the consistency and taste of pasta sauce. Left the restaurant hungry and feeling ripped off. We won't go there again. Save yourself the $ and aggravation. Go someplace else.

Yelp
I went here tonight for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. Originally, I had made a reservation for Saloon, Foundry's sister restaurant. However, I got a call from them saying a private party booked the whole restaurant all of a sudden and they were canceling my reservation. I definitely wasn't pleased to find out the day before, but the woman I spoke with told me we could go to Foundry for the same reservation time or come to Saloon on Friday instead. Since today's his bday, I opted for Foundry. She was a nice enough to say she would add notes to give us a few free drinks and something special since it was birthday and for the inconvenience. Upon arrival, we we're seated right away and a little while later our waitress finally came. We placed our orders and got our food. All the food was great and well made. We got the poutine, Tuna and Salmon. Our waitress just stopped coming to our table after she took our orders, which stunk because my boyfriend wanted to order more drinks to eat our entrees. She finally showed after we stared her down and got the drinks. So, wasn't a fan of our waitress...no one who worked there was very friendly. At no point did we get the "inconvenience drinks or something special" according to the Saloon person. Which was a bit of a bummer since it was a bit of frustrating scenario, but it is what it is. From this experience, I'm not sure I'd come back, but meh. Who knows?

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Overall, our experience here was great, but I think my favorite part was the garden party cocktail. I will always try a gin based drink when cucumber and basil are involved, but this drink had peppers too which gave it a fun kick. The food was really good too. My boyfriend got the salmon which he loved, and I got the chicken which was good too but a little too salty for my taste. The chicken dish came with a generous helping of broccolini and it was fantastic. The service was excellent - very attentive and accommodating. We enjoyed dinner so much that we came back for cocktails and poutine after seeing a show in the area. I'd recommend this restaurant for a date night or a night out with a group of friends and definitely try the poutine!

Jenk A.

Yelp
A solid neighborhood bistro. Very good for groups, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I've had brunch and dinner here and I've always enjoyed my meal.

Katie M.

Yelp
Always great cocktails and service. Love their poutine. They have the best grilled cheese and tomato soup combo out of any restaurant I have been to in recent years.

Courtney F.

Yelp
I came for dinner at the recommendation of a friend, and let me say, he was right. This place is great! The vibe in here is very trendy, but still welcoming. They have such an interesting menu with items ranging in price (plenty of options). I ordered the whipped ricotta toast.... and have been dreaming about it since I left. I am not sure what kind of magic they used to make it, but OMG. Service was great, and our server was very helpful with recommendations for us. Cocktails are unique and very yummy as well! This place is great for a sit-down dinner, just drinks, or quick little apps with friends. I am looking forward to coming back soon!

Jay N.

Yelp
$5 for a cup of coffee is ridiculous. Started coming back here lately, but it's been hit or miss. Food has been *mostly* good, service has been rushed but with one exception fine. Then I started brunch today with a cup of coffee, and when the bill came got this disappointing surprise. It's a small thing, but at a place where you're already paying $21 for a salad with chicken, *and* the dining experience is... average? It makes you realize that the Foundry is no longer a "nice" restaurant -- just overpriced.

Joseph B.

Yelp
We got the charcuterie board and some drinks. The board was excellent. It contained Duck Sausage, Hot Coppa, Prosciutto, cornichons, mustard, and a sliced baguette. Coming on a Saturday was fun, but the place got packed and all the other restaurants in the area. I will recommend making a reservation if any are available.

Samantha J.

Yelp
5 stars due to the amazing food but mainly our amazing server ! MARY G was an absolute sweetheart and made our time at the foundry amazing. I have been In the hospitality industry for years and she is what ever restaurant needs. I could see her smile even though her mask ! So personable, great recommendations, fast service, overall a lovely person. Thank you Mary ! You made my 30th birthday the best. Best of luck to The Foundry Team!

Chris S.

Yelp
This place f%$ks. What a great bourbon selection and the food was fantastic. Will be back again! (Excellent customer service as well!!)

Yelp
Changed their menu... I would recommend checking the menu before reserving. Foundry is a solid spot if you want a quick appetizer and a drink but it's not the best for dinner. They only have six options on the new dinner menu and the entrees are super over priced.

Yelp
We came here for dinner this past Saturday. We had a reservation so we were seated promptly. We had a good seat, lots of waiters and waitresses, but it still took nearly 10 minutes before we got our drink order in. When a different waitress came back with our drinks, she had 4 of the 5 wrong :( Ok that happens, it was busy. Another waitress comes over to tell us that they were having a problem with the grill so their burger was not going to be available along with a few other dishes. got our food order. OK great, a bit of a pain, but that happens. We skipped ordering appetizers since we weren't that hungry. Good thing, since it took forever for our food to arrive. I had ordered just the Grilled cheese without the tomato soup ( even though I love tomato soup) When they brought my order, guess what I got? tomato soup with the grilled cheese. Gritting my teeth at this point since it has been one issue after another, I figured I might as well enjoy the soup. Too bad it wasn't really tomato soup :( It just warmed marinara sauce. :( Our 3rd or 4th waitress of the night ( sort of lost count) was very nice, but at this point, all we wanted to was eat and leave. We got our check, paid. Not planning on returning. Too many other great restaurants in Boston, to waste my time and money coming here again. :(

Yelp
Food: I went with a large group and we got a special "brunch basket" that came with a croissant, a chocolate banana muffin, a cinnamon roll, and a lemon pop tart with blueberry icing. We also got an order of their beignets. All of these baked goods were AMAZING! They were all the best I've ever tasted, including from actual bakeries. I also got the farmhouse breakfast which was also well cooked. Service: This is what cost this place a star in my review. The service was slow and would walk away while people were still talking. Once you got someone's attention everything was good. Ambience: Nice atmosphere, the tables and settings were good quality. Parking can be a pain since it's on Davis square.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go for outdoor seating! They have a limit of 90 minutes per party so they everyone can get a chance to enjoy the space. My last dinner there, I ordered the mussel appetizer. It's very flavorful and the garlic bread that goes with is nice with dip with the sauce.

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner here last night. We were very happy with the entrees. She had scallops and I had the chicken Milanese. The $2 oysters were good as well as the beet and strawberry salad. The cocktails were delicious but not huge. Overall great meal.
