"We’re not sure if it was WebMD, but we read somewhere that an effective way of dealing with a breakup is by surrounding yourself with nice people, good pastries, and art supplies. You can get all of that at Four. The North Miami spot is run by a welcoming group of baristas, bakers, and cooks with a passion for hosting people who are looking for a chill night out (a rare thing in this city). They host focaccia-making classes, art classes, cumbia parties, and DJ sessions. "Four is a cafe and wine bar that will look awfully familiar to former regulars of Paradis, the cafe and wine bar that used to occupy the same space. The concept hasn’t changed much either. Four is more of a wine bar at night, but on weekend mornings, it’s a bakery and coffee shop serving pastries, a couple of sandwiches, and coffee. "Four is less sports and cheeseburgers, more books and wine. The North Miami spot operates as a bakery during the day and a wine bar with a weekly rotating menu at night (they’re only open Friday through Sunday, though). There’s a little dining room with corner seats ideal for two people trying to suss out any potential toxicity in the other’s podcast diet. "We’re going to recommend that you go here during the day, when this wine bar/bakery is firmly in casual cafe mode. Save this for a date that feels promising because you will have to sacrifice your weekend (that’s the only time they’re open). Even if they confess they self-bathe like a cat within the first five minutes of the conversation, you’ll still get a delicious pistachio-rose croissant out of it. "We don’t endorse working on the weekends, but if you simply have to, do it at Four (which is only open Friday through Sunday). They have a snug indoor cafe and a cute patio. Their pistachio-rose croissant will make answering Devin’s “time-sensitive” email about restocking the granola dispenser more pleasant.
