"Tell us about this hotel. Not many hotels with a central location like this are able to channel the composure and tranquility of the Four Seasons. Since opening across the street from Boston Common more than 30 years ago, and after a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2017, the hotel continues to be a favorite for upscale travelers in Boston. What’s the crowd like?A buttoned-up crowd of lawyers, bankers, and other professionals. You'll likely run into politicians from the nearby State House power lunching at The Bristol or strategizing over martinis. Tell us about the digs. The best rooms here have tranquil views over the Boston Public Garden; even just two or three stories up, you'll see the treetops, not hectic Boylston Street below. The recently renovated rooms have a gentle palette, textured plaster, Colonial-blue wall coverings, and medium-toned woods. Between the view and the décor, you'll love waking up here. How about the little touches in the rooms. Anything you want to shout out? From the custom mattresses designed exclusively for the hotel by Simmons and the blackout shades, to the luxurious bedding and soundproof double-walled windows, one thing is clear: the Four Seasons takes sleep seriously. After just one night here, you'll be wondering how to steal a mattress. Is the room service any good? The room service menu, from the downstairs foodie favorite Bristol, doesn't mess around. Before the streamlined late-night menu kicks in, get your hands on the decadent Duo of Duck ($42), made with lavender-honey glaze, rhubarb jam, and wild mushrooms. How about the staff?Whether it's arranging an in-room spa treatment or an in-room private yoga lesson, the concierge is masterful. Should you decide to step foot outside the hotel—there's so much to do here you actually don't have to—you'll be armed with dinner reservations, theater tickets, and anything else you fancy. Anything else we should know? There's a fantastically equipped gym overlooking Beacon Hill, an indoor pool on the eighth floor, and valet parking for a price. So, bottom line: Why are we booking here?Although this hotel certainly comes with a Four Seasons price tag, there's no beating its commitment to luxury and service. If you're looking to splurge in Boston, this is where to do it." - Todd Plummer

You can’t go wrong with this hotel and the location. Incredible (cozy) rooms, service, food, attention to detail and hospitality. We love the spa/pool/gym. This is our 3rd time, and again it exceeded expectations. Love the new addition of “the vault” a dedicated room on the guest floor with complimentary snacks and drinks. Don’t miss the breakfast experience, especially sitting by the windows. Can’t wait for our return!

We have stayed here quite a bit and I've probably already reviewed this hotel but, if so, it time to do it again. My husband and I are both from Massachusetts so we travel to Boston pretty frequently. We have stayed in most of the luxury hotels in Boston (M.O., Ritz, Boston Harbor hotel, Newbury, XV Beacon, Raffles) and prefer this to all others. After a poor experience at a very high end hotel that shall remain nameless, my husband made a reservation at the Four Seasons to change over to stay there instead. They had a room and told him it would be ready by 10:30 am. that same day. The staff was superlative and the whole stay was just lovely (including the Amex FHR upgrade). We had a park facing suite, with park views from both the bedroom and the living area. The contrast between the hotel we were at and the FS was stark and it was nice to feel valued and pampered.||The hotel has always been great but has recently improved with a beautiful renovation of the lobby area and a revamping of the room service menu. In the past, I was always a bit disappointed with the lack of vegan options on the menu. Not this time! There were several options for every meal and the food was great.

Google
We enjoyed our stay at the Four Seasons in Boston. The trip with our 1 year old was great. It’s a perfect family friendly location. Also the food was great in the mornings for breakfast. Thank you for an amazing visit. The hotel was also gorgeous and updated. The fun snack closets with clues to the upstairs surprise was fun. And accessibility to the park near by and all the tourist spots in Boston was perfect. Beacon hill is very close as well as Acorn Street.

Google
Top notch, ten out of ten as is usual with the Four Seasons. Absolutely incredible service, I’ve never had a bad experience with the staff members at any of their hotels. Rooms were clean and well maintained, pool and gym were in great condition, room service was quick and delicious, and the views were great. Overall I truly can’t recommend this place enough, absolutely amazing!

Google
A lovely property in my favorite part of Boston facing the public garden with very nice rooms, great beds, and excellent service. Room service breakfast was excellent (but please serve the bagel as a platter so I can leave off some of the ingredients). The little courtyard on the sixth floor (aka The Sanctuary) is lovely||I would definitely stay here again -- provided the Hilton Park Plaza right behind it is not on strike. That was very noisy, particularly the drumming and horns, which really helped ruin the in-room experience (e.g., at 10am on a Sunday morning)

Google
If there was a 6 star rating, the Four Seasons and their exceptional staff would win it outright. This is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location opposite Boston Common. The rooms are comfortable and for a small fee, we have a Christmas tree in ours!

You know, it was my first experience at a Four Seasons. I wanted something grand for someone special to me. They asked for a pool, and they were pleasantly surprised. It was an incredible one night stay with the most courteous and knowledgeable staff, and no complaints besides the obvious. I paid for an expensive night, just to hear construction all night long. I brought a date here who was a light sleeper, and he couldn’t sleep at all. Imagine what could’ve been magical, but instead, you wake up to a partner who’s dazed and frustrated from no sleep. I woke up early morning to a disgruntled man, knocking at our door.. Embarrassing and humiliating. Thanks for ruining my date.

We travel internationally out of the Logan airport and when we return, we always check into the Four Seasons for a few days of rest before returning home. This is our favorite Four Seasons as well as our favorite 5 star hotel in Boston. We have stayed in them all and this by far is the best for us. From the warm front desk welcome, exceptional service throughout the entire hotel, the terrific indoor pool & hot tub and fitness center , to the lovely and comfortable rooms, we will not stay anywhere else. You can't beat the location across form the Boston Common and gardens which is close to so many restaurants and shops. We often have to go into Boston for medical appointments so it's especially relaxing to stay here. It's within walking distance to so many of the best medical facilities in the city. I do adore the morning complimentry coffee service off the lobby which has the best blueberry muffins! The staff goes above and beyond and make you feel so special. It's a great way to start the day!

Yelp
Very nice hotel. Room could use a desk for business travelers. Very nice bar on the second floor which I think gets sold-out to weddings on the weekends. Otherwise, not really bar, more of a lobby coffee shop. And there's aslo a coffee shop but was closed mid-afternoon on a Saturday, which was really strange. It feels a bit small for the building because I think it's split between a hotel and residences, so the hotel is small than it appears. Not uncommon these days at high-end brands but a negative in my mind because the result is usually less common space and lower quality services than a large hotel might afford. The big problem for us was the HIlton Park Plaza right behind us was on a multi-day, noisy (drumming and horns) strike. I would NOT stay here, particularly in the back, until that is over.

Yelp
I stayed here this past weekend and had a lovely stay. The staff was mostly phenomenal. The bed was a dream - so comfortable. The room was well appointed and large. The view was of a weed filled roof but overall enjoyed the room and bathroom. Only hiccup - I had drinks two nights at the bar. First night, the bartender was great. He made a perfect gimlet. The second night I sat down and immediately jumped up and pulled a shard of broken glass out of my backside that was lodged in my fanny (lol). I gave the shard to the bartender and gathered some napkins and brushed off the seat. We found several other shards of glass on the bar top and only then was the bar wiped down. A prickly mishap (ouch!) but otherwise it was still a good night. The bartender from the night before appeared when I was ordering my second drink so I got to order another perfect gimlet :)

Yelp
Friendly service. From check in, housekeeping, room service, housekeeping and attendant at the pool. The room was exceptional. Roomier than most hotels in the area. Amenities were great. A room called "the vault" had free snacks, use your room key to get in. The location was across an awesome park- safe and peaceful.

Annie R.

Yelp
Perfect central location in Boston. I always find myself gravitating towards the Four Seasons because of its proximity to every other part of downtown Boston. The staff is incredibly hospitable and the service is exceptional in every way. It continues to be my favorite place to stay in Boston.

Karen T.

Yelp
I actually didn't stay there but was at the Sheraton across the way. If you plan on getting any premier room with a soaking tub in front of the window, if there are curtains...CLOSE THEM! Numerous times we were able to see right into their bathrooms, kids brushing teeth(and fighting for the sink haha) a couple naked getting to the tub, someone else getting out of the tub etc. If you're spending over 1k per night, I would hope at least curtains or shades are an option. But if they are not, then shame on Four Seasons! I closed our curtains...not necessarily for our privacy, but for yours!

Pam S.

Yelp
We love the Four Seasons! We had one of our first dates at the former Bristol Lounge, then got engaged on Valentines Day at the Four Seasons, and came back here to get married in May 2023. We had a delicious meal in the new Coterie restaurant for an intimate family wedding gathering. We will likely stay at the Four Seasons to celebrate many anniversaries to come

Richard M.

Yelp
The best, most enjoyable breakfast in the Western Hemisphere is in the Four Seasons on Boylston St. Huge windows onto the lively and beautiful Boston Public Garden are the backdrop to really exceptional food and service. My Lobster Benedict had more lobster than a typical lobster roll, and it was so deliciously chewy that I was the last person to finish eating. The name of the restaurant, 'Aujourd'hu', is French for "amazingly excellent, and prices are much too low for this quality". I never mention names in reviews like this, but if the Wonderful Wilma is in attendance when you go, you're in luck.

Maria R.

Yelp
This past weekend we stopped into the bar for an afternoon cocktail. We were on a girls trip to celebrate a friend's birthday. The bar is such an inviting, cozy and beautiful place to spend some time relaxing and getting away from the busy Boston vibe. The young woman, Nadia, who waited on us was exceptional--she was so professional and personable! When she found out we were on a celebration weekend she surprised the birthday girl with a beautiful sweet treat. Needless to say, Nadia and the Four Seasons bar helped make some great Boston memories.

Yelp
Wow. Major bummer. This 4S had one of the most iconically beautiful and sophisticated bar/lounges in the country, overlooking Boston Common. It was spectacular year round, but particularly during the Holidays. Brought a large group there to enjoy it this weekend, only to discover they have destroyed it, and replaced it with some tiny, chopped up bad dream replica of an ice cream shop at Disney. Honestly, I am still speechless. They took it from class to ass. Horrible. Which buffoons thought this would be a good idea???

Yelp
I had the WORST experience at your dining room at the Four Seasons at the Public Garden in Boston on Dec. 1. I was taking a good friend out to lunch. We drove up in a luxury car and the valet said it was $45 CASH to park. I said I was lucky to have cash, and then he said it would only be $40. We walked into the Fr. restaurant on the first floor. There was no one at the hostess station to greet us, and finally we saw a waitress who said to sit wherever we wanted. Then a woman in a black outfit with an Ipad walked over to the table and asked for my name and cell phone no. and if we were hotel guests or residents of the Four Seasons condos. REALLY! I asked why, and she said "In case you leave anything here or there is a problem with your credit card." We were dressed well and could obviously pay for for lunch. Shocking and insulting. Finally the waitress came over. I ordered a salad with shrimp and my friend ordered tofu. The waitress asked if I wanted the shrimp RAW or grilled. I asked about RAW, and ordered it grilled, obviously. Anyway, she brought the wrong drink for me, forgot to bring more breadsticks my friend had asked for, etc. The salad had no flavor in the skimpy dressing and my friend said she liked her entree, but I'm not sure she was just being polite. The bill was over $100 plus tip...The coke and tea were $10 each. I don't mind paying exorbitant prices for a delicious, elegant meal in a wonderful restaurant, but this was a horrid experience. Shocking. I don't know why we were so mistreated from the get go! I will never go back to the Four Seasons at the Public Garden. Appalling.

Yelp
This is a nice hotel, but nothing extraordinary. I'd say it doesn't hold up to the cost. Numerous service hiccups left us disappointed. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready. They offered to upgrade us to an executive suite which we were told would be ready faster. This meant I'd be sleeping on a pull out couch, but they assured us it was a comfortable queen sized pull out. They held our bags for us and texted us when the room was ready which wasn't until 2:30 pm. Not really any faster than a standard 3 pm check in time. When we got the keys, they informed us they had already taken the bags to the room. We went up to the room and our bags were missing. We called the front desk which apologized and said they would be brought up right away. After 30+ minutes, we still had not received the bags, so we went back down to the lobby as we were being held up from waiting at this point. The bags were on a luggage cart just waiting in the lobby. We told them we would just take them up ourselves which we had no problem doing originally. They apologized again and said they would take them up "right away". No one moved to get them. We told them we'd been waiting 30 minutes and needed them immediately and we'd just take them ourselves. Only then did they finally have someone bring them up with us. Bit pointless at that point after such an inconvenience. We requested pillows and a mattress topper for the pull out couch and for turn down service at 7:30 pm. They came at 6:30 pm instead while we were still in the room and had to request they come back at the time we had asked for of 7:30 pm. We had received a bottle of wine to the room, but there was no corkscrew to open it. On our way back to the room we asked the front desk for a corkscrew. They told us to go the the 2nd floor restaurant for some reason. We told them again, we just wanted a corkscrew to take up to the room to open the bottle brought up earlier. Again they said to go to the 2nd floor bar. For the 3rd time I said we already have the bottle of wine, we aren't looking to buy wine at the restaurant, please give us a corkscrew. At this point another person at the front desk came over understanding the confusion and said she would have a corkscrew sent to our room. We received it about 5 minutes after getting back to the room. The pull out couch was made up when we returned to the room after dinner but there was no mattress topper like we had requested. We asked at this point, 11 pm, for them to please bring the topper we had requested. They said they'd bring it right away. At midnight, we still had not received anything, calling the front desk again, we asked for the topper to be sent right away. Finally someone came about 5 minutes after that. They did not offer to remake the bed with it and we had to remake the bed ourselves with it. This turned out frivolous as the topper was paper thin and could not add any comfort to the metal in the pull out couch. We asked for a roll away bed the next day which was a whole lot more comfortable. Do not recommend trying to utilize the pull out couch bed. Various other minor issues made this quite a frustrating stay. There was a wet spot in the carpet near the bathroom door, no clue from what. In the shower they gave us 2 shampoos instead of a body wash, it was corrected the 2nd day. We had a $100 credit to use at the hotel but were not told it could not be used on alcohol. Perhaps our own ignorance, but would have been nice to have been informed of that before buying $20 cocktails in the restaurant. The AC did not fully cool the room down. We had it set all the way down to 60 with the fan on high, the room felt like the low 70s, still too warm to comfortably sleep for us. The mini fridge made a weird popping sound randomly throughout the night. The curtain rod came off when opening the curtains, it was held by a thin metal clip that was easily bent, strangely poor design. This was a nice hotel, everything was clean, the decor was pleasant. The staff were all kind, despite the timeliness issues. We had a good view looking towards the commons. The rainfall shower was great and had a good amount of water pressure. The coffee shop in the lobby with free espresso drinks was a great addition. There was also a cool "vault" room with free snacks. These things could not, however, outweigh the negative experiences and left us with no desire to return here again.

Yelp
I have never had a worse experience at any hotel. I have stayed in over 200 hotels. The hotel policy is that you have to be a guest to eat or drink at all of the bars and restaurants. I won't be back.

Talin Z.

Yelp
never had a more bizarre experience ! called to make reservations for breakfast and was told its only open to hotel guests well keep your pancakes and eggs and we shall go to the Ritz Carlton discrimination at its finest

Sean K.

Yelp
Great stay! Courteous staff, location, perfect size rooms (relatively new as compared to similar hotels) and city views, and a stellar overnight menu. Wish I could stay longer... until next time.

Jenn M.

Yelp
This is my first time at the Four season in Boston and i must admit that the bed oh man that bed was so comfortable not to mention the sheets and pillows were as well. It was a good size room. We were on the 7th floor, not a lot of traffic in the hallway which helps can't stand when you can hear people walking by. Overall we were happy with the room and the service. OH and their late night chocolate chip cookies and milk is a must try SOOOOOO Good, we ordered 6 and i left 2 of them overnight. The next morning was still delicious with water, It's walking distance to the restaurant "Cheers" and TD Garden. You can enjoy the scenery and walk around.

Yelp
WOW, WOW, WOW! This review is only for the relatively new lobby changes. Stopped by for what I thought would be an enjoyable, leisurely after dinner drink. My husband and I have stayed at this property for over 20+ years but obviously not since the renovation. The joy of a Four Seasons experience begins in the lobby, the round table filled with a fantastic smelling, beautiful array of flowers. Smart furniture, thoughtfully and invitingly arranged in the lobby, a Concierge and large check in area. The "new" lobby lacks all that! No flowers, no furniture in the main lobby, a stingy and barren looking check in area, overwhelmed by overwrought garish green wall paper. The once gracious lobby bar (admittedly considered the prettiest in Boston) is now closed and guests are shunted off to a bizarre (for Four Seasons) anteroom which, I completely agree with a prior poster resembles a Disneyesque tearoom. Bistro tiled flooring, two chaise sitting areas and the remainder either dining tables or high tops. We thought we had arrived in the breakfast room but, "No", this is the new Four Seasons bar. What a disappointing experience, we had our drink and beat a hasty retreat (along with a few other couples who appeared to be, like us, looking for a relaxing nightcap, they didn't even bother to stay after seeing the " offering"). How the mighty have fallen and to such depths. I was saddened, disappointed and embarrassed for the staff.

Shari S.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous! I love the Four Seasons already....but this one is the best I have stayed at. Wonderful room service! The concierge, (Rebecca and Julie) made our trip five stars. They will arrange drivers, restaurants reservations...assist with itineraries and it's all first class. The bellman/valet are so friendly and remember my name every day! (impressive!) I'm here with my granddaughter and she loves the indoor pool overlooking the park with beautiful sunsets. The location is prime. Shopping, dining, and strolling the park. Housekeeping is a ten. I stayed two weeks ago in Four Seasons Vegas and last week at Grand Floridian and it's beg for towels. Here they have full housekeeping. Yay! When I'm away I want to do....nothing. Five Stars plus...stayed at VX on Beacon Hill las time and this is our new spot

Melissa B.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were extremely excited to stop in and have a cocktail in the lobby bar. We were both disappointed at the bland and underwhelming new design and layout. They should have left it alone as the other design was very upscale and had a great vibe. We will not be returning.

Nick D.

Yelp
This Four Seasons is bliss. Can you imagine waking up with the sun greeting Boston Commons as you find yourself escaping a cocoon of the amazing bed of a Garden View Executive Suite? Well dreams become reality on Boylston. The room, location, and genuine service are second to none. What really impacted us was the genuine service. While it is a very nice and can easily be said this is a luxury hotel the staff is reserved, down to earth, and embody the true meaning of service. I do not feel as though there are pretentious airs here from the employees. Upon entering our room the hotel had a handwritten note for our stay as well as some water and apples for us to enjoy after a quick jaunt up 95 to Boston. The room was generously sized and the view was second to none. I truly enjoyed having the sun shine off of The Massachusetts State Capital as we enjoyed a relaxing morning after a beautiful sleep. The gym was nice and room service was prompt. Honestly, the beds are so amazing here we both do not remember falling asleep. The beds at Four Seasons Properties are stunning but the ones at this location are unparalleled to this day. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a stay in Boston to enjoy the Four Seasons on Boylston.

Brian E.

Yelp
The newly redecorated lobby lounge at the Four Seasons Boston has to be, by far, the least attractive interior design of any hotel in the city. A 20-minute gift card shopping spree in the braille section of an IKEA would have yielded a more attractive room.

Emily R.

Yelp
This is a beautiful dining hall and the staff are all great. There were two screaming children throwing food and being extremely disruptive, but I could see that the staff were still super polite and accommodating. We came just for desserts and everything was wonderful and came quickly. I especially loved the cookies and the cheese platter. I highly recommend this place for a dessert and I look forward to trying dinner as well!

Alice M.

Yelp
A beautiful hotel with an amazing staff. Yeonju made our stay so special for my mothers 70th birthday. I cannot thank her enough!!

Lupita M.

Yelp
The property is beautiful, the staff is very attentive and it's a beautiful place to celebrate a special event. I strongly recommend this property for any occasion. Thanks to the staff for making this event so special. Always a good time when seeing my Main-ard friends!

Yelp
Great stay! Service was excellent. Workers are super friendly and we're very helpful. The coffee service in the morning was amazing. Workers were very great with making sure we had everything we wanted even espresso drinks! Rooms are great! Very clean and had everything you needed. From shower caps to make up removers to slippers and robes. Everything was excellent! Anything that requested the hotel made sure to provide us like another fridge for our room! Highly recommend this place and location is walking distance to Boston commons !

Joy S.

Yelp
Stayed here for two nights for a Med school reunion. Wonderful hospitality and excellent service. Rooms were a nice size, decor was lovely and well thought out with regard to function. There was even a large mirror and place to do hair and makeup on the far side of the room near the windows. Enjoyed having complimentary fresh ground coffee, small samples of pastry and fresh fruit in the cafe each morning. Baristas were so friendly and eager to please as were all the bellmen, etc. Highly recommend this Four Seasons any season of the year.

Yelp
My wife and I are visiting Boston for a couple of days after spending time in Maine for the fall foliage. Staying at a extremely nice hotel in Boston next to the Common and while on an afternoon walk today decided to stop by and have a drink and a bite to eat in the Four Seasons bar/lounge. We were greeted by the young hostess and as we looked around at the 20-30 open tables , (only one was occupied by four ladies at 3pm), we asked if we could get a drink and a bite to eat......she asked if we were staying at the hotel and we replied no..... her facial expression changed and said due to high occupancy at the hotel, she could not offer us a table. We were dressed nicely, all american looking and we are both professionals. It was shocking. Felt like we were in the movie Pretty Woman and although money is not an issue with us, we felt like we were being treated like people they felt didn't belong there. What a joke. Definitely didn't want to spend money there after that anyways. Changed my opinion of Four Seasons hotels which we have stayed at many times. Maybe this is a case of a rogue hostess but if not, Four Seasons you need to check yourselves.

Shayne R.

Yelp
I was so excited to finally stay at the Four Seasons but after my stay, I'm not 100% sure why it's so "superb." The employees were all so gracious and the room was nice but nothing stood out from other places I've stayed. The bed was super comfy but the water pressure was non existent and the towels were so scratchy. Also, a lot of the tv channels didn't work. I don't mind paying a good chunk of change for a hotel but this one left me wanting more. If you are coming to Boston, maybe choose the other Four Seasons or another hotel entirely.

Maria-Elena T.

Yelp
Spent a four day weekend here lapping up the luxury. My initial encounter was to call the concierge to ask about music venues and to validate my restaurant choices made using Yelp and Opentable. Although I used Yelp for my food choices. David, a jazz musician himself, helped immensely. Marianne, another concierge, helped with ferry tickets to Provincetown. OMG the gym!!!! All Hoist equipment which is my favorite. Not too close together, 12 pieces of cardio, numerous circuit, free weights, balls, kettlebells, straps & bands, foam rollers, medicine balls, bosu, stretchmate, and Cybex station. Also several infused water choices as well as regular. Great sound system and selection of tunes. Sparkling clean! Rubberized floor made for gyms. One wall of mirrors and one wall of windows to maximize light. They also have a row of lights down the middle of the ceiling. Mishap on the curb out front and they were helpful. First night no maid service which was surprising but on spot every night after that. The housekeeping service was fantastic. One day we were in the room and Devi was so accommodating. Lots of extra personal touches! The rooms have large TVs with lots of channels and HBO. Location is within walking distance to so many things including a beautiful park across the street. This is a five star hotel- duh!

Yelp
Loved my stay here. This was my first time at a Four Seasons, and it surely did not disappoint! I arrived around 9:30am, and they already had my room ready, which I feel like never happens with hotels! The room of course was great. Beautifully decorated, a nice super comfortable king bed with updated large flat screen TV as well as a vanity area and sitting area with chairs and table. The bathroom did not have a bathtub but did have a great rainforest shower. I also love the L'occitaine bath products they have. A complimentary water bottle was left in the room, and they also did a turn down service in the middle of the day. When I got back to my room later that night they had filled the ice bucket with fresh ice for me, which was very appreciated. Customer service at the front desk was great and super friendly. They have complimentary coffee and pastries in the morning for guests. I used the gym in the evening, and it was great. Well updated, many machines, and no one was even there, so I had the whole gym to myself. The gym is equipped with fresh towels, ice water, and fruit water as well as apples. A staff person was even nice enough to offer me a water bottle during my workout when she passed through the gym. Checkout was easy, and my experience could not have been better!

Yelp
If I could leave no star I would. My party was kicked out of our rooms because they said there were too many people outside. I have a bit of a social following so it's hard not to have that. What kind of place kicks me out to the street to the wolves. ZERO STARS

Yelp
Stayed for 2 nights everyone their was A plus so cheerful and eager to help. What a wonderful gem of a hotel in Boston. Didn't get to use the pool but I'm looking forward to the next stay. The room attendant was always there for you no mater what time it was. Had a 35 dollar burger and I've got-a say it was dam good. The room was clean and spacious loved all the mirrors in the bathroom can't wait to do that at home . And the bed was like one big pillow. Perfect location to everything public garden swan boats restaurants theater district.

Yelp
This was truly a 5-star hotel experience. From the several staff members that greet you warmly on the way in, everything was as good as you would expect from the Four Seasons name. Once again, I stayed at a sick hotel way nicer than anything I would pay a normal price for thanks to the wheelings and dealings of my wife. Most importantly, the rooms are top notch. Not only are they obviously clean and well-kept, but they are very spacious as well. I've been in some hotels of this caliber where you feel like you are in a box, but this one had a feeling of a bedroom and a little living room area almost, along with a corridor on the way in. Also, the wifi is complimentary, which is a nice touch that saves you from that hidden $15-$20 daily fee you often cough up once you check in to mess around on your laptop. The 24-hour fitness center is also very high quality for a hotel. Plenty of cardio machines and weights to work off that Saturday night dessert buffet they have at the Bristol Lounge Restaurant within the hotel. Lastly, the location can't be beat. Located smack dab in the middle between Boston Gardens and the Commons on Boylston Street, it's perfect for getting everywhere good you need to go in Boston. Assuming I can get a decent rate, I would love to stay here whenever visiting Boston.

Yelp
Unbelievable how beautiful this hotel is and their amazing staff (Caleb and Steven plus everyone else)! Housekeeping is very attentive and great location! We're having the best time in this great city and are so glad we chose this hotel...we'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with most employees so friendly and helpful. The late night valets were much more casual and relaxed in their approach--sometimes opening doors and sometimes not. The employees at check-in always greeted you with a hello and welcome back, even when arriving late night. Awesome gym facility. The garden view rooms are beautiful but the word "garden view" is not as it seems. You will see the beautiful garden but it's a public garden off a main street which means, tons of people walking by, loud vehicles, and every few minutes honking. Overall, a great hotel and we would stay here again when in Boston.

Yelp
This is a review of the catering or dinning hall. We had our ten year dental reunion here. Waiting staff very friendly nice and responsive. Food review: -- salad: was ok nothing special -- vegetarian entree: simply awful, no salt no flavor, pee puree filling disgusting. Wait staff was very responsive in trying to find a substitute but second dish was even worse. Just can't get past this. Truly awful. -- Cake: not bad

Yelp
Great location and amazing staff. Wonderful pool. Very comfy beds and nice showers. Rooms are smaller than some urban Four Seasons but very well appointed

Yelp
Thank you specifically to Jay from security who retrieved and shipped my COVID-19 vax card back to me. Doh. Talk about peace of mind; knowing you can make a boneheaded move like leaving the most important (right now) item behind and not worry about it. They'll find it. They'll fedex it right way. Thank you Jay. Wonderful location for a walk through the common or down Newbury.

Yelp
Love this Four Seasons. First of all the flowers are always on point! That's my favorite part. The rooms are clean and beautiful. Room service is yummy. It's in walking distance of all the best shopping in Boston. Can't go wrong!

Yelp
Horrible!!!!!! One of the most expensive hotels in boston and they don't give a FUCK about their guests. Kicked people out due to "too many people outside"?? Does that even matter when its 500$ + a night to stay here? Don't waste your time or money here!!!!!!!

Yelp
I wanted to write a review to speak to the level of service at this hotel, not just to customers but to the community at large. I lost my wallet near the hotel yesterday and it was brought to the hotel. Although I was not a customer of the hotel, the director of security for the hotel returned the wallet to my office within an hour of when I'd lost it. Thank you to Stephanie Cahill and the rest of your team for going the extra mile!

Yelp
We stayed at the Four Seasons in town during our most recent stay in Boston. It's in Back Bay, but given that the Boston Public Gardens and Boston Common are opposite the hotel, it has a much more relaxed, less-trafficked feel to it relative to other parts of the city. Unlike some other versions of this hotel, though, the exterior is relatively understated, with only a decently-sized private driveway indicating there's a fancy hotel nearby. The dimensions overall on the hotel are on the cozier side; the ceilings aren't that high, the check-in area is pretty small and unremarkable for a hotel of its stature, and the lobby (similar to the exterior) and the elevators up have a bit of a worn feel to it. The folks at the front desk were helpful in getting us checked in and out quickly, and the room was always made nicely - so no complaints about the service aspect of the hotel. The hotel gym on the top floor has a pool and a solid selection of equipment; perhaps my only complaint is that it's clear this was originally not a fitness center, as there were times when lifting weights over my head meant nearly hitting the ceiling, despite the fact that I am not tall by any definition of the word. Despite being on the smaller side, though, the gym is well-ventilated though; whether I was doing cardio or strength workouts, I never felt like I was overheating. We had a standard room on one of the upper floors (the 7th), but we were simply facing the building across the alley, which was quite close - so we ended up having our blinds closed almost the entire time we were in the room. It's one negative about having a smaller hotel in a pretty tiny piece of real estate; I don't think there are any rooms here they are going to have much of a phenomenal view of anything (although rooms facing the parks may fare a little better). The welcome snacks were a nice touch, and the bed is comfortable as always at any Four Seasons hotel. I did appreciate that, similar to some other 4S locations, the mediocre L'Occitane amenities were replaced by something else; in Boston, you get Codage soap and shampoo/conditioner, which is far superior. The room overall didn't feel the newest, but the bathroom was in tip-top shape, and there were no obvious signs of age that can sometimes show up when shoddily-done renovations are done. I'm not sure how frequently I'll make it up to Boston in the future, but the Four Seasons is a choice on the nicer side that isn't ostentatious but maintains the general level of comfort that one should expect from the chain. It will probably be my first choice to return to whenever I come back to town.

Yelp
How can I even try to explain in a review how amazing (and fabulous!) the team at the Four Seasons makes each and every experience at the hotel. I've been coming here for years, and have always been so impressed by the amazing staff whom I feel look out and care for me as if I were a treasured family member. I've actually based my own business practices (as best I can) on how amazing and outstanding the service has been at this Hotel. If you're looking for an elegant place to stay, a family or romantic dinner or a lovely place to stop for tea.....this is the place to be.

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel for one night in early July (pandemic closures still going on!!). I felt very safe. Quick temp taken upon arrival, everyone wearing a mask, no crowds, masks and sanitizer waiting for me in the bathroom, and all personal items such a remote controls pre-wrapped in plastic and labeled as Sanitized. Plus the usual four seasons world class customer service, of course, with great room service and lovely employees abound who are quick to assist you in all your needs. If you need to come to Boston and the pandemic is still running I can highly recommend the four seasons for your stay!

Yelp
It pains me to write a bad review for a Four Seasons, as all my past experiences at other Four Seasons have been so spectacular...but this one - Bleh. Went in on an quiet Monday night with a friend to have a few drinks at the Bristol Lounge. After being barely greeted by the bartender (female) with not a smile or "my pleasure" to be found (a hallmark of all the good 4 and 5 star hotels...it makes the experience so pleasant and makes it seem that your business is so valued!!) we settled into our first two drinks. The drinks were very good - great tasting and very original seasonal cocktails - kudos for that much. We got nary a glance from the bartender after that; not one check in, not even a glance as she talked off the ears of an older couple who she clearly knew at the end of the bar. Girlfriend and I decided we wanted some appetizers but couldn't get the attention of the bartender or any of the waitstaff that was rushing in and out from behind the bar - finally after about 5 minutes caught a bus boy's attention and ordered some food. A standout: Avocado Fries with some kind of cilantro dipping sauce - amazing. Again - no acknowledgment, checking in, or any of the general niceties offered at most Four Seasons/Ritz level establishments during appetizers- Nada. Finally girlfriend and I decided to bail as the level of service was not NEARLY worth the exorbitant prices. And don't get me wrong - I have no problem with Four Seasons' prices when you get the level of service expected for the price - but to be treated like I'm in some low level Hilton or Sheraton or Holiday Inn at $15-$18 a drink? I don't think so. I'm offended by the idea. To top things off, the valet was $23 (just last week in the Four Seasons Montecito - an EXTRAORDINARY experience all around, in much nicer digs, the valet was complimentary) and they failed to mention that when I came in....and oh yeah... It took 15 min for the valet to get my car out of their own garage, with no other patrons present, at 11 o'clock at night - in other words, no one else for them to wait on. When I complained to the front desk, they took the cavalier attitude of "well it's just always that way here" which is the LAST thing you want to hear from any customer service rep when you've just dropped almost $100 in less than an hour for a sub-par experience. Oh...lest I forget...the women's bathroom was a hot mess. Not dirty, just messy. The grossest thing? A display of tampax and maxi pads on the counter was covered in a dirty towel. Are they kidding me?? Beyond the pale.

Yelp
Deluxe Garden Suite. Traveling to Boston was a whirlwind experience with the massive tropic storms and meetings all day driving from office to office. A surprise upgrade to the deluxe garden suite was AMAZING. It was seriously the size of a mansion - at least compared to other hotel rooms I've stayed in before. My favorite part of the suite, the amazing bathroom! My CFO was less than impressed, he didn't get the suite (unless he considers a suite a regular sized room) ... but he paid for mine! :)

Yelp
Michael, you made me feel like a VIP. Thank you for being awesome. My gorgeous room overlooking Boston Common was wonderful, the spa & fitness center felt like an oasis of calm and every staff member treated me like royalty. Room service food was very mediocre in choice, quality and taste (and I tried a couple of times), but at least the wine was good, which saved the day. If you're staying in Boston, this is truly the only hotel in which to stay.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, stayed here for a girls weekend. Very nice staff, very clean. Simply beautiful! The room was very comfortable. Staff very attentive Will absolutely return if I'm the area again, thanks !

Yelp
Its a hotel, not a palace. For $495 per night, you would think the room would blow your mind. Not at all. There is a level of service that makes me uncomfortable and this is it. I'm all for being polite and professional but c'mon; I'm just an average guy on a business trip, not the second coming of who knows what. You have to hand it to them though...everything is pristine and everyone well taken care of. For that price, shouldn't it be though?

Yelp
There is a reason that the Four Seasons can get away with charging a fortune per night--it's perfect. Great room. Comfy bed. Perfect sheets. Fluffy pillow. Amenities worthy of swiping :) --not that I'd ever encourage that behaviour! Friendly greetings from everyone including the maids. In Boston, a great location too. Spendy--well, somewhat North of spendy, to be honest--but there is a reason.
