Major Food Group’s Pool Lounge Is Closed For Renovations | Eater NY

"I recall that the iconic Four Seasons restaurant was forced out of the historic Seagram Building in Midtown by landlord Aby Rosen in 2016." - Tanay Warerkar

NYC Critics Are Not Feeling the Four Seasons Reboot | Eater

"After a two-year closure and relocation from its longtime home in the Seagram Building, this storied Midtown institution returned to mixed-to-disparaging reviews: critics Pete Wells and Adam Platt each awarded it one star. Both acknowledged strong cooking under executive chef Diego Garcia — citing a “flawless” Dover sole and indulgent sea urchin ravioli — but criticized a dated, retro dining room (including pink marble bathrooms) and an atmosphere that feels tailored to an elite clientele. Reviewers also highlighted steep prices (for example, $25 cocktails and a $52 crab cake) and questioned whether the restaurant’s vibe is welcoming to anyone outside the ultra-wealthy “plutocrats who lunch” set. The reboot’s reception is further clouded by the history of co-owner Julian Niccolini, who has been accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct and in one instance pleaded guilty to assault, a past that many say will make dining there difficult for some. Nevertheless, celebrities, socialites, influencers, and longtime regulars such as Martha Stewart have embraced the comeback, suggesting it will continue to appeal to the very privileged." - Whitney Filloon

Chef Ruth Rogers’s Grub Street Diet

"Remembered as an opulent, architecturally significant dining room from the 1970s and ’80s, its memory is tied to personal family visits and the sense of ritual surrounding lunch outings; recent renovations by a new owner are credited with restoring much of the room’s former magic." - Chris Crowley

We had breakfast here this morning at four seasons and found it to be very nice. The food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The only negative thing I can say about it is they have no prices listed on website .

Funny that they actually call this place the Four Seasons.

Google
Very disappointed in this place. $60 for my family to go and at the very most it was comparable to a choice hotel continental breakfast. We felt bad for the host who was doing all the work. He was taking money, seating table, taking drink orders, cleaning dirty tables and dishes and checking on all the tables while the so called servers would poke their heads out of the kitchen to look around and disappear again. It's was sad to see him running crazy doing the best he could while the servers are probably collecting all the tips. MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS.....

Took family there for Thanksgiving dinner buffet. The stuffing was good, everything else was terrible. Never, ever again.

It was a nice place on the inside. I would come again next trip here to Myrtle Beach. Nice common options that were pretty good and warm. The milk was nice and cold. Fresh fruit. And more, I'd recommend coming and trying it out. 😊

Ate there this morning with a visiting friend. I ate the scrambled eggs, sausage patties and has browns. My friend tried the same but could not eat it because it was too greasy for her. Later today, she felt nauseated and I got diarrhea
