Thomas Keller’s TAK Room in Hudson Yards Is Now Taking Reservations | Eater NY

"Known for its famous cotton candy, the original Four Seasons Restaurant is evoked by TAK Room’s use of nostalgic, carnival-style touches such as a vintage container of caramel popcorn at private parties." - Serena Dai

NYC’s Biggest Dining Surprises of 2018 | Eater NY

"I was surprised by how quickly powerful people and much of the media embraced the return of the Four Seasons Restaurant without publicly reckoning with its baggage: did the investors really think Julian Niccolini’s past behavior wouldn’t affect perception, or that great food and a $30 million build-out could overcome years of documented misconduct?; people can’t move forward without an apology, and here there wasn’t even really that — yes it’s legendary and influential, but we live in a different world now and sometimes it’s okay to pay respects and then lay a restaurant to rest." - Carla Vianna

Four Seasons Restaurant in Midtown Feels ‘Diminished By Abuse Of Power,’ Critic Says | Eater NY

"I found the new Four Seasons Restaurant haunting — likened to a scene from The Shining when Jack Nicholson’s hotel-caretaker enters an empty ballroom to find it suddenly occupied by the ghosts of a Roaring Twenties grand soirée — and overall 'dark and sad.' I note that one of the iconic venue’s owners, Julian Niccolini, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault in 2016, the same year the original venue closed. The food remains pricey and still isn’t that good, although the classic cotton candy — reserved for celebrations and served on a silver platter — was a big hit in the evening." - Carla Vianna

Google
A gem of a roadside restaurant in snowmobile country. If you like fried foods, you are in heaven here. The breading on the haddock was thin, light, and crispy. The fish was very tender, and there are maybe 10 pieces of it in the basket ($17). The onion rings were from frozen bags but were fried just right: golden brown with no burnt taste or that hard shell you would find in other places. The French fries are made to order and also fried perfectly, especially if you like those crunchy, thoroughly fried through ones. You’ll definitely taste the potato and the grease when you bite it these translucent pieces. Whoever is in the kitchen today knows how to fry things! The grilled chicken sandwich had a huge chicken breast and the French onion soup was baked well. The portions were all very generous, too. The limoncello cake was light and not too sweet. The staff was warm and friendly. The restroom was very clean.

I would give this place 5 star, yet if you have a large group (11 of us), they will not split the check up. I've eaten all over and never heard of this. It was not convenient, considering some of us only had credit cards. On a great note, our young waitress was on top of her game! She mentioned how they were short of staff, and she was working so much without much time off! Impressive young lady who knows the meaning of work. The food was great! I recommend it.

Google

Google
Very friendly staff, and food as usual delicious! Worth the hour and a half drive every few weeks.

Google
Food is excellent. Service slow due to staffing issues in the town, but we'll worth the wait.

Google
The Reuben sandwich, which the waitress recommended, was excellent. It was served fresh, hot and amazingly fast. My husband said that his pulled pork sub was good also but that the Reuben was better! Best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. The waitress seemed to enjoy being there. The table’s tree trunk pedestals were clever. Very inviting atmosphere. We were able to watch the train going by while we ate.

Google
We came to Jackman for snowmobiling and decided to stop here and we weren’t disappointed, we ended up getting buffalo wings, BBQ Ribs, South west Salad, and blackened steak. Everything was amazing the food the customer service. The BBQ ribs are the best I’ve ever had anywhere they fall right off the bone and the sauce they use is just amazing!!! We will surely be back next winter during our snowmobile trips!

Google
Unfortunately I've had to downgrade the rating. Meal we had was one of the worst. Everything was barely warm. Egg rolls were covered in fryer oil, shepherds pie was tasteless, bland, and used instant potatoes that tasted like water. While we were there 2 other people sent back meals.

Yelp
This was pretty much the only place open, though happy it was. It has a hunting lodge vibe. It's a large establishment, though only the back area was open when we went. The server was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered the full rack of St Louis pork ribs ro share, which came with coleslaw and fries. I, also, ordered a Caesar salad. The ribs were very tender and fell off the bone without effort. They had a really tasty sauce. The coleslaw was light with lots of flavor. If you stop on Jackman, give them a try.

Yelp
Wowie this place is terrible, I'm not sure which was worse the service or the food. Let alone one of my family members ordered chicken tenders, and they were over cooked, and dry as a desert. We had 2 Pepsi's and a water, we saw our waiter once, who's name was Tiana or something, we saw her sitting at the bar never coming back to check if we needed refills. Don't go here you're better off going to Bishops down the road. Let alone it took forever for them to bring the check, and the restaurant was empty, their were at least 10 people if not less. Never even got the over cooked chicken off the bill.

Yelp
Service ..was excellent. We had lunch of appetizers and they were great! Chicken salad sandwich was wonderful! We enjoyed everything!

Yelp
I want to acknowledge how amazing Tim was in helping me with my situation. I live in Florida and was trying to arrange a surprise for my brother who lives in Jackman. I know my brother says how wonderful the burgers are and I wanted to surprise him for his birthday. Thank you for going above and beyond Tim!

Had dinner here and was very good!!! Quick service and friendly staff!! Not sure if they are only open on the weekend?

Yelp
I eat here once a year with a group of guys I go ice fishing with. Jackman is a wonderfully remote and beautiful part of Maine that has fantastic outdoor adventures. That being said, there really is not much in the way of eating establishments around. My group finds this restaurant to be one of the better options. The food and service are decent, but not noteworthy, among the typical bar food offerings. It is certainly worth a stop after a long day ice fishing or snowmobiling and looking for a hot meal.

Yelp
My husband and I went to this restaurant as we were staying outside of Jackman. We went on a Thursday and I had the shrimp scampi and he had the chicken parmesan. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The portions were large enough that we had leftovers for the following night. The bill for our dinners and 3 beers was only $60 so we thought for the price it was a great restaurant.

Yelp
Good beef tips and haddock meals. Friendly people all around. Good WiFi as the town has poor signal.

Yelp
Nice place in jackman. Waitress was excellent n friendly. Food was just average. Bit overpriced for bar food. Not much else open that day in a very quiet town.

Yelp
My wife and I snowmobile from Rangeley to Jackman and discovered the Four Seasons this winter. We have eaten here several times and really enjoy it. When it's really cold we like to warm up with a hot chocolate and they make an amazing one. The chili is always excellent and the quesadillas as well. Waitstaff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Good food. Good people. Open more than most anyplace else in the area. We stop here every trip up no matter what time of year.

Yelp
After a long trip I was looking forward to a good local meal. The bar atmosphere lived up to its appearance but the food was very good. Had the haddock. I'm from the coast and it was right off the boat, but the profanity of the semi drunk snowmobilers would blush the family crowd. Recommend for food and adult crowd!

Yelp
Very limited menu for lunch, maybe the waitress was having a bad day, she just seemed like she didn't want to be there and wasn't to thrilled we were there either. Food taste was average. Service poor. Just not a great experience overall.

Tigran G.

Yelp
Avoid this place! The worst service I've ever had in the US. It was also the first time I didn't leave any tips. The waitress was extremely rude and unprofessional. Food was fine.. But after I got yelled by the waitress for asking a simple question about a menu item, it didn't really matter anymore. Don't go there! I know there are not that many options in the area, and not sure if other ones are better, but this one is definitely not good.

Yelp
This was a short drive from the Birches Lodge. We stopped in and had the smokehouse chicken sandwich and the Reuben. Both were great. The corn beef was tender and cooked great. The chicken sandwich had cheese onions and bacon. I would recommend the homemade fries. They were fresh cooked and delicious.

Yelp
Stopped there for lunch today during ATV ride with a large group. We were seated outside on the deck, and the young waitress came right out and took our drink orders. After drinks were disbursed she took our food orders. Very prompt service. I found my clam basket to be overcooked, but the burgers most of the rest of the party was eating looked good. So, overall, the food is "meh", but the service was exceptional, and the waitress was hot.

Yelp
Food took over an hour, waitress avoided our table, didn't even come by and explain/apologize, and our drinks were empty. This was our third time there, hoping it would get better, and each time we felt less welcome, like we were an inconvenience. Waitress was rude, especially the one with glasses on her head and pen in her brown ponytail. They don't know how to make the simple drinks like a Moscow mule. At least the drinks were strong. Have had much friendlier experiences elsewhere in Jackman.

Yelp
Okay so what's the deal with their inconsistent hours? Sign say that they are open 7 days a week but it's so untrue. This restaurant was closed 3 out of the 5 days while we were in Jackman. Anyways their dinners are actually pretty good with good sized portions but the worst part was our overwhelmed waitress. Our waitress was so rude that it was almost comical. It seems as if there are serious management issues at almost all of the Jackman restaurants. So we actually met other folks while we were snowmobiling in the area and they all experienced the absolute rudeness that we did. It's no wonder why most of the restaurants in the area have new owners every few years.

Yelp
Took a long drive, ended up in Jackman. The restaurant is clean and cozy. We sat in the lounge - Friendly bartender, great food, awesome service!

Yelp
Nice place, good food and friendly people. But do check that the place is open before visiting as opening hours seem to be somewhat erratic.

Yelp
We decided to go here for an early dinner as we were leaving Jackman after a camping trip. We had a party of 16. It was the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We entered the restaurant and asked the young waitress where we could sit, she stated we could sit anywhere, so we asked if we could have tables put together so we can eat as a family, but she stated they could not move the tables for us.... we sat at three booths and a table. Immediately after sitting, my nephew was at a table and they had a neon "specials" sign sitting on the table (not hanging on the wall above the table, where it should have been, out of the way), the cord wrapped around his leg as he went to get up and caused the very large sign to fall on the table in front of him. Our waitress who was taking our drink order stated "Oh great!, oh great" Seriously?? He could have been hurt and your reply was "Oh great"!! I was furious! The sign obviously had fallen before and instead of them securing it to the wall they leaned it on the table against the wall again!! The older waitress taking our order came back to take our drink order and my fiance asked what they had on tap. She rudely stated "I have nothing to do with that, you have to go to the lounge" The Four Seasons has a lounge and you cant take an order for a beer and bring it over??? My fiancee and his brother went to the lounge to get a beer, she came back to my table less than five minutes later and clearly saw two people were gone (out of a table of four) and she asked if we were ready to order. I almost laughed, no, clearly we were waiting on half our table!...her response was "well we need to put the orders in, they're going to the kitchen now" WHAT?! I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing. How disgustingly rude. I told her that was fine and we will wait until my table was ready. She sighed and walked away. When my fiance came back I told him what she had told me and he could not even believe it. On top of that, also at our table was my fiances cousin, who didn't have room to sit at his parents table so he sat with us. When he went to order he asked if he could be put on his moms bill, where the same waitress told him no! She said they do not split tabs here! She said the orders go to the grill by table and it was impossible for them to split it. Unreal. You refuse to put tables together for a large family, then when kids don't have room to sit with their parents you tell them you cant put them on their parents tab??? When we ordered our burgers she asked us if we wanted frozen or home made french fries...that turned me off a bit. While this was all going on with our older waitress, apparently things were not better with the young waitress at our larger table (there were only two waitress by the way). We had a young child with us, and when we asked for a booster seat she said "they're over there" as if she couldn't possibly be bothered to get a high chair. The fact that we even had to ask for one was a red flag. Also at this table, coffee was ordered by a member of our party and she gave it to him black with no cream or sugar. He had to ask her THREE TIMES for creamer, by the third time of him asking her, she brought it over and actually threw it on the table so hard creamer cups fell out of the cup! How incredibly rude!! At that point we decided we were not going to put up with such rude and miserable waitresses and we got up and left. I have never had to leave a restaurant due to such horrible service before, and this was all before we even got our food! I cant imagine people actually sitting through a meal with those waitresses! As we got up to leave there was another party of diners that stopped us and said they were treated very rudely as well. They had children with them and they could hear the kitchen cooks swearing all throughout their meal to the point where they actually had to ask the waitress to tell them to stop swearing!!!! We asked to speak to a manager and the waitresses told us he was not there. We asked to speak to whoever was in charge and they sent us a line cook. We went down the road and stopped at a trading post where we told the cashier what terrible service we just experienced and she said its not the first time she had heard similar complaints! Overall the diet cola and beer was good. Paid for our drinks and left! DO NOT GO TO THE FOUR SEASONS UNLESS YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE WORST SERVICE IMAGINABLE!!!!!!

Yelp
Ate there twice while I spent a few days in Jackman, Maine. I enjoyed both meals and would recommend it. Service was good . All desserts were homemade (although I didn't have any there was a large selection) Very good ma and cheese

Yelp
Family style dinners, Saturday night prime rib was top shelf. Meatloaf got rave reviews. Waitress was friendly and mixed a great drink. Don't miss the homemade maple sugar pie!
