"The location of Four Walls isn’t immediately obvious. You’ll have to find your way to the second floor of The Joseph in downtown and wind through a couple of halls before you find the host stand. But once you’re there, expect an elegantly appointed small space with fringe hanging from the ceiling and knowledgeable barkeeps mixing drinks using green tomatoes, Calpico, and smoked bitters, serving them on an oxblood marble bar. The snacks may look casual here (they’re served in bags and jars), but don’t be fooled — the beef bulgogi jerky and vegan chicharrones are some of the best in town." - Kellie Walton
"Four Walls is a secret bar located less than a mile from the stadium in The Joseph hotel. It features a blood-red Italian marble bar and offers snacks like cheddar-dusted farfalle pasta, bulgogi beef jerky, and curried Marcona almonds, along with elevated drinks." - Jon Gugala
"Hotels opening speakeasies can feel cheesy, but Four Walls is thankfully not. A self-proclaimed “spaghetti-western” themed space, it’s all pretty nuanced, whether we’re talking decor or cocktails. There’s boudoir fringe dripping from the ceiling, sneaky lighting underneath the bar, and eyebrow-raising combinations of things like rhum agricole and wasabi. Throw on something that really makes you feel good but you rarely get to wear, order a drink that seamlessly blends ingredients like prickly pear and house horchata, and take a few glances at whatever black-and-white movie they’re playing between sips." - ann walczak
"Every time we walk through the beaded curtain at Four Walls, a cocktail bar in The Joseph Nashville hotel, we feel like we’ve stepped into an ‘80s movie where CEOs in shoulder pads mastermind their next move while sipping expensive liquor. It’s a feeling that’s reinforced by Whitney Houston on the speakers, fur-covered walls, and the bar’s minimalist gray color palette. And you’ll feel like a high roller when you take a seat at the marble bar to order a classic cocktail or a simple pour of the bar’s numerous top-shelf options. The best drinks are luxurious twists on old favorites, like the Moth to a Flame, which successfully riffs on a ramos fizz, or one of the many variations of the Negroni. No matter what you drink, you’ll leave feeling like you’ve closed the deal of the century." - bailey freeman, ann walczak
"Before settling into dinner at Yolan, you’ll want to stop by the Joseph’s newest cocktail bar for interesting drinks in a visually arresting space: picture hide on the walls, fringe hanging from the ceiling, and a long blood-red, Rosso Levanto Italian marble bar. The cocktail menu here features nine different negronis and a selection of kicky aperitivos — like high-end bulgogi beef jerky and red-spiced vegan chicharrones — to tide you over until your next meal." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
