Tiny trattoria–market turning out fresh pastas, sauces, and Italian groceries. Praised by local food critics and voters in recent Best Of tallies, it’s where handmade tagliatelle meets the feel of a neighborhood alimentari.

Oh my GOODNESS I’m in love! I make homemade (sourdough) pasta and this was my first time ever having any kind of pasta freshly made in a restaurant…I had fusilli with pesto and chicken, and my husband had lasagna with a side of chicken. Everything was fresh and delicious! We were fortunate enough to get one of only 2 walk in tables available at 5pm…everything else was reserved/booked up in advance for the evening! Well worth the wait. Highly recommend!

We loved this place SO much, that we stopped twice - once for dinner and one final lunch before we went home. The food was out of this world, and the vibe was so comfortable and informal - I felt like I was eating in Nonna’s kitchen. I brought home a jar of sauce and a bag of homemade pasta! Thank you for the AMAZING food!!

Found this gem on yelp and went today around 3pm. Service was great, the atmosphere... I liked it. There is a mini section to buy take home pasta, sauces and some dried goods. I do not have pictures of the food other than the bread and red pepper dip and take home desserts. The bread and dip are very nice. I ordered the truffle ravioli and my daughter ordered the linguine pesto pasta dish. We devoured them and I realized I did not take any pictures. The desserts we chose were taramisu and creme brulee cheesecake. You won't be disappointed at all. The place is not fancy but it is cozy like going to a Nana's.

We found FraLi by accident but what a happy accident! Fantastic fresh pasta in a very casual, almost rustic, space. It all works though. Simple and delicious. No frills or anything too fancy , just really good pasta. The wine list was also right on point. There’s a wine for everything on the menu! We had dessert (also very tasty) and bought some dried pasta from their retail section. Definitely adding this to our list of return places on our next trip to Savannah.

Google
I loved this place. Fantastic! My boyfriend and I were at the Savvanah History Museum and looking for something nearby. We stumbled upon this and so glad we did. We got the papardelle boldness and the rustico panini. The panini was great..but that pasta! It was so light for a papperdelle. Cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was basic, but quaint..and our service very friendly. Great prices. Pic shows 1/2 order of pasta (other half on my plate) for only 15$

A random restaurant I dined in. Let’s just say the noodles were done so perfectly that the sauce really ruined everything. Why is it so salty??? The 5 pieces of $5 extra shrimp should be at least grilled or pan seared. This dish could be a 9/10 but now it’s a 5.5/10

Google
Came for the gluten free build your own pasta dish. While waiting for our food, the waiter brought over bread/dipping sauce to the table and also brought me GF seasoned crackers with roasted pepper salsa! How nice it was to not feel left out while others enjoyed the table bread! The menu lists GF penne available, however the staff mentioned the GF pasta sometimes rotates so I’m not familiar with the term for this pasta. I ordered GF pasta with carreterra sauce and added grilled chicken. Flavors were delicious however the GF pasta was well undercooked and still had a crunch to it. My friend enjoyed the lasagna and the unique flavors in the sauce. Good sized portions here, you won’t leave hungry!

If you're looking for the best Italian food in Savannah, this is the place to go! The restaurant has a warm, homey feel that makes you feel like you're dining in an Italian family kitchen. The menu is extensive, offering something for everyone, and the food is absolutely delicious—authentic flavors that transport you straight to Italy. The customer service is top-notch; the staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or a special night out. Highly recommend!

Yelp
All of the food was incredible, especially the meatballs. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great as well

Yelp
Small place with a lot of authentic Italian prepackaged foods to buy. We ordered 2 (made to order) sandwiches and grabbed 2 drinks from the standup cooler. One arrived correct, the other was missing meat. The guy at the counter was demanding that we ordered only cheese which was the same cost with or without the meat. Thankfully, we were able to get it fixed when the manager stepped in. This place offers a 10% military discount year round. We might try again just because of the managers kind demeanor.

Yelp
Small little gem with limited hours... definitely book reservations early! Interior more like a small store with tables, but perfect! Service was fast and friendly! We ordered the cheese plate. Complimentary bread arrives with a spicy roasted red pepper sauce. Tons of variation as you can order any of their house made pasta or ravioli with any sauce! Convenient and simple. PASTA IS AMAZING AND FRESH! Very reasonably priced!

Yelp
Another amazing lunch at Frali Gourmet! The restaurant has a casual atmosphere and open seating; there's lots of available tables on a Friday during lunch time. I ordered the meatball parm and chips. The sandwich is a nice size. The bread is fresh, crispy, and loaded with meatballs and fresh mozzarella. I've had their homemade pasta during past visits and it's amazing!

Yelp
Amazing pasta! I ordered fettuccine with the lobster cream sauce and add shrimp. You get 5 medium size shrimp, and the lobster cream isn't too heavy on the lobster, however the pasta and sauce were delicious together. It was the perfect portion as well. Fairly priced with a small bread with roasted red pepper dip for starters.

Yelp
Damn good pasta & sauce! I'm Italian cuisine snob. I live in NY where we have the best italian cuisine. I never seek it when out of my home. However, my daughter lives in area now and she said it's fantastic ao i gave it a chance. WOW! Their homemade raviolis are LEGIT. Delicious! Many varieties to choose from. Went with ricotta butternut squash in ala vodka sauce. Practically licked my plate clean. We also had some paninis which are also excellent. Its not a fine dining olace, its casual snd has weird hours. We came for lunch. It was a gorgeous day so we ate at a sidewalk table. Service was very friendly and attentive. I was very skeptical. It was delicious and i would absolutely eat here again.

Yelp
Incredible! Great little hole in the wall restaurant and real authentic Italian. Casual and quick- not too busy on a weekend night! The bread service was awesome and the pasta was to die for. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Yelp
Wow!! Actually a hidden gem! I am a huge pasta lover and was so happy to stumble upon this spot while on vacation. It's a no-frills Italian cafe/market serving fresh pastas/sauces and delicious homemade desserts. I got the gnocchetti with lobster cream sauce, which was absolutely incredible! The pasta was perfect! Al dente with the best bite, and so fun to eat! The sauce was creamy and rich in flavor. Also tried a bite of my sister's pappardelle with saffron cream which was so unique! The tiramisu was super fluffy and also delicious if a bit small :(. Takes a bit for the food to come out, but they give you bread and a yummy roasted red pepper dip while you wait. Honestly would come back just to have the gnocchetti again!
google avatar

Yelp
Incredible pasta! Located on a rather unassuming corner in Savanah, I may have to frequent Savanah more often just to come here! All of the pastas and sauces are incredible. I tried the saffron, a red sauce (not entirely sure which), lobster cream, vodka, and alfredo. Honestly, hard to pick a favorite. Maybe the saffron because it's a flavor I don't see super often and they executed it perfectly. Not too heavy, but still rich and creamy, with a stronger flavor than most other saffron pastas. Teeny tiny complaint: I think my pappardelle was a tad overcooked, but all of the other pastas I tried were nice and al dente. Perhaps this was a one off. We ordered the tiramisu for dessert, and this may be one of the best tiramisus I've had. Not super traditional as it had extra layers, but these additions made elevated this tiramisu above others. I also really liked the red pepper sauce that came with the bread at the start of the meal. Overall, I highly recommend Frali Gourmet. I must return here in the future.

Yelp
Wow! Came back 4 years later to the same delicious food. The service was incredible, nice waiter, and server! Place was packed with people, just shows how amazing this place is. I got the black truffle ravioli which was the best Italian dish I've probably ever had. Like last time I got the lemon sorbet, which is still delicious, definitely a must buy. The ambiance was like a mom and pop store, absolutely unique and a must try!

Yelp
From reading so many reviews this was a must stop place in Savannah but you will be in for a surprise. From the name I expected Gourmet this was far from it. All the workers there looked like they just rolled out of bed. The place looks like it's falling apart. The water glass was dirty the chairs were falling apart. It seemed like they were confused whether they wanted to be a store or a restaurant. The food had no flavor. I had mushroom ravioli with lobster sauce and shrimp and sausage. The shrimp was boiled and the texture was almost rubber. No seasoning as if it was a shrimp cocktail and not part of a dish. You have to get up and get your own drink as if you're at a gas station and all the deserts look old and mixed up on a cake plate that looks as if it was Tupperware from the 40s I would avoid if your looking for something nice and is over price
google avatar

Dawna L.

Yelp
It was delicious! We had three different pastas and on the recommendation of another review I ordered the lobster sauce with shrimp. Plate was cleaned off! It can great crowded due to minimal seating and they close early but it is worth it. Highly recommend. Service was a little pretentious - maybe SCAD students who think they are above the customers, but the food makes up for that.

Michele F.

Yelp
Hidden gem! Black truffle tortollini and pesto pasta amazing. Tiramisu is to die for. Just fantastic spot, nothing fancy but definitely homey.

Elise B.

Yelp
The food was so insanely good here. I've never had such good fettuccine Alfredo. My girlfriend and I both loved our meals and we are so glad we came here

Yelp
I work for a disaster relief organization, and we were looking for a location to host our 43 volunteers as 5 staff. We called Frali and they secured our reservation for the following day. The manager requested that we pick 5 dishes and the number of orders of each so that they could have them prepared when we arrived. With all staff on board, they welcomed our group, provided a nice bread appetizer, quickly served our ordered dishes, took and prepared our special orders. They even quickly corrected a miscommunication of mine and prepared the food I forgot to order. Everyone thought their food was the best. We even had two of our group eating all the extras that others could not eat because it was so good. Additionally, Frali did their best to seat and serve other walk-in customers. As our disaster relief program will be operating in Savannah until February 2026, we will definitely be bringing groups back in.

Yelp
Found this semi- hole in the wall thru the internet for our vacation, WOW!! - are we glad we did. There are maybe 10-12 tables, nothing is fancy, but when your food comes - house made pastas and sauces - you're going to think you died and went to heaven. Some of the best Italian ever, and get meatballs on the side - they are unbelievable! Could have eaten an entire plate of just them, they really are that delicious. We got Pappardelle Bolognese and Fettuccine with Lobster Cream, and each was better than the other. The side meatballs were so good we're going to pick some up before we leave for home this weekend. And make sure you buy some of the house made pastas and sauces they sell; YUM and E. What a wonderful, inexpensive, authentic Italian eatery!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service, excellent food and cozy little spot to get your freshly made Italian eats to dine in, take out, or take and cook later. Create your own pasta noodle/sauce combination is everything!

Yelp
This place is amazing! We're spending the holidays in Savannah and happened to stumble across it while looking for a lunch spot. The food was delicious! Authentic and simple with amazing flavor. I wish I took more pictures, I was too busy stuffing my face to remember to take pictures of anything outside of my main dish (shoutout to the fam). The staff was absolutely lovely! They were very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. They were able to answer all of our questions. Everyone gets their own order of bread with a roasted red pepper sauce. Let me tell you, I immediately asked the waiter if they sold the sauce. He said they were out for the day but would have more for sale the next day (I will surely be back). I ended up ordering the Build-Your-Own pasta with Fusilli, Vodka Sauce, and added Meatballs. Sooo good!! I also ordered Limoncello Lemon Cake for dessert and it was fantastic! Overall, a truly banner experience! Food and dessert for 4 people was around $90 dollar, which I believe is affordable for great service and food. They also have a store inside the cafe with imported food from Italy and that roasted red pepper sauce. The entire restaurant felt like an intimate, Italian café. Hats off to the chef! I'll be back for some of that delicious sauce! Happy Eating!!

Yelp
Learned this place from a recommendation by someone in Dallas. Upon entering, the ambiance exudes warmth. The place is almost packed by 5 pm. Noticed tables got a reservation tent. Majority of customers are locals. I ordered the Linguine al Pesto with Sausage based on pictures posted from Yelp. From the moment the plate arrived, it was evident that attention to detail was paramount. The presentation was artfully arranged, showcasing vibrant hues of green from the freshly made pesto, interspersed with savory sausage slices. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, where the fragrant basil pesto harmonized perfectly with the robust essence of the sausage. The linguine itself was cooked to perfection, achieving that delicate balance between tender and al dente. What truly elevated this dish was the quality of the ingredients. The pesto was rich and aromatic, bursting with the essence of fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, and Parmesan cheese. The sausage added a delightful depth of flavor, its smoky notes complementing the herbaceousness of the pesto impeccably. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor to Savannah, Frail Gourmet is a culinary destination not to be missed.

Yelp
Great food amazing service would recommend to everyone for sure! Don't miss out on this place.

Yelp
Cute spot in Downtown Savannah! Came here for lunch with a group of 6. Service was efficient and very friendly as we were one of the only people dining in at the time. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and was extremely happy. The pasta was fresh and the chicken was so tender. I know everyone likes their pasta different and some get turned off if its too watery or not firm in presentation, but the taste really brought me back to the last time I visited Italy. Overall, I would come here again. Very inviting environment and easy access to from downtown.

Yelp
Understated, authentic, good vibes, delicious choices. We got the meatballs, ravioli, and marscapone pasta. All 10/10

Kathy M.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch today. We enjoyed our meal. I had sonic and ricotta ravioli. My husband had bolanese. Both delicious. Enough to take half home for dinner ! Thanks for the fun chat too-with the owner. We will be back!!!

Yelp
Unfortunately we were not very pleased with our experience at Frali. The service was a little slow. The pasta did not seemed cooked all the way and the ambiance needs a an upgrade. The convienence of the restaurant right next to the Civic Center was great. I was not a fan of the dipping sauce with the bread. It was too peppery. The caprese salad was amazing!

V L.

Yelp
Amazing pasta and paninis! Amongst the best I have ever had and we know our pastas. Found this place on Yelp whilst in Savannah and we loved our dine in so much that we ordered take out for our flight back from here as well.

Jessi M.

Yelp
Ive been coming to Savannah for 3 years now and I swear this is the best relaxed restaurant in town. I have a hard time ever straying from the veal tortellini with butter and sage sauce. To die for, and the portions are perfect. My husband is obsessed with their chicken fettuccine Alfredo. The service is fantastic. They are always kind and prompt. I love the fact that there's no stuffy uniforms. Definitely relaxed casual and not somewhere you have to dress up to enjoy. The prices have not budged in the last 3 years. Having authentic fresh food at Olive Garden prices (if not cheaper) is mind boggling. The menu hasn't changed at all that I have noticed, other than the addition of wine and beer which is awesome. This place has ruined other Italian bistros for me. Literally so good!
google avatar

Blair F.

Yelp
Fresh pasta, delicious! We finished our plates quickly. It is a seat yourself place, so just find a spot and wait for staff to drop off a menu. Many options, build-your-own pasta, and great explanations for people new to authentic Italian. Lots of fresh pasta and sauces available for purchase as well.
google avatar

Wendy L.

Yelp
Went for lunch and the pasta dishes we ordered were fresh and had amazing flavors. Wanted to go back immediately the next day for more.
google avatar

Kavonna M.

Yelp
Amazing food, it felt like I was in someone's home. I also loved learning about their backstory.

Katie K.

Yelp
FRESH! All the food is amazing! The ingredients so light and fresh. Cute market with freshly made items - got some "Georgia grown" local ingredients and hand made pasta and red pepper sauce for later
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
I have yet to come in Frali Gourmet when the owners weren't here. They are hands on, friendly, and everything is made in house. The 5 star rating is well deserved. I've watched them grow from selling pasta, olives and condiments at the local farmers market to a full service restaurant. It's wonderful to see the American dream realized. At Frali Gourmet their pasta is made in house and offered for sale in a small section of their store. In addition, you can purchase ready made lasagna and various pasta entrees from their freezer. It's a wonderful, delicious meal on a hurried evening. They have a kids menu, and paninis hot and cold, and catering is available as well.

allie r.

Yelp
This is the best homemade Italian food ever. You have many options even Gluten free! You also have the option to build your own pasta dish. Lots of desserts. On the side is their store full of homemade and imported Italian goods. The service is amazing everyone is so nice and takes good care of you, fast as-well. The vibe is very happy, relaxing and peaceful. Will definitely be bringing friends and family here often!
google avatar

Mikayla C.

Yelp
A nice place for a casual dinner, seems very mom and pop shop. The service was a little slow and dinner took a minute to come out, but it is all homemade and you can tell when you eat it, the noodles were done perfectly and the Vodka sauce was incredible. Not an Olive Garden by any means, the pasta wasn't too rich or heavy to eat, but will still fill you up. The starting bread and sauce was a hit for our big group, and we were all very happy with our meals!
google avatar

Rob L.

Yelp
Stopped in Savannah on my way to Florida and saw this place had good reviews. It didn't disappoint. Got the fettuccine Alfredo as pictured. Reasonably priced and quick service. You could tell that the fettuccine was freshly made. I'm very picky with my Italian food, and this was some of the best Italian I've had outside of Italy. I was lucky enough to be dining alone, but if you have a larger party, you will definitely need a reservation.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
Super cool little place! All home made pasta! There is also a store part to buy your favorite things from Italy. I got the home made ravioli pasta with artichoke and goat cheese. These are the kind of places i truly love! Family run, homemade pure goodness! The basic sauce I picked was amazing and was invented near the town of the cook. Really how cool is that!!! This will be a regular when I visit Savannah.

Yelp
By far one of the best Italian food i had in a long time. The only issue I have was their restrooms were disgustingly dirty.... Almost to a point it seems like it hasn't been washed in WEEKS. So that made me question their hygiene, unfortunately I saw the restroom only toward the end when I had to take my son. The other issue I had was there was barely 2-3 tables were taken and our service was very slow. We waited for about 50 minutes for our food (including our son's pasta dish). We learnt later that there's only one chef but there was at least 10 staff working. Between the multiple servers and people at the pay counter, I questioned why food was taking so long to come out. I would definitely recommend this place for how the food tasted, but hygiene and service can be improved, especially for families coming with young kids. You don't want hangry kids :)
google avatar

Leah O.

Yelp
My husband and I went here with some friends of ours to celebrate our anniversary. It's a pretty busy place and it's best to make reservations. It's isn't super fancy and looks more like a deli. There are a few outside tables. They served us easy some French bread with a red pepper sauce which was nice. The bread is cold but still tasty. I ordered a caprese salad with homemade mozzarella. I was a little disappointed with it. It tasted sour. I wasn't sure if it should be sour or it was bad so I just didn't eat it. The dinners were amazing. They make all the pasta. I ordered a ravioli with a pesto sauce. You really custom make your meal choosing pasta and sauce. The prices are so reasonable! They don't serve alcohol. We are excited to try it again!
google avatar

Steve M.

Yelp
Came for lunch - looking for good food a little off the main tourist area. Restaurant was clean, calm, organized. Got a gluten free pasta with straight forward red sauce (Pizziaola sauce). Wife got a mozzarella / red pepper sandwich. Both super delicious. Got a lemon sorbet in the cut out lemon for dessert - super refreshing on a hot Savannah day. Service was attentive and prompt. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Very good fresh pasta assortment of toppings, friendly staff has takeout also It's a BYO B Pl. right now, but they're applying for their own liquor license

Joellen C.

Yelp
The entire meal was five star! Good staff and fabulous flavors! Our order was correct and ready for pickup on time! Will definitely order from Frali again!!

Carol N.

Yelp
The real deal. Authentic Italian food at reasonable prices. Do not pass the unassuming facade by! And most definitely get dessert...or two.

Tony S.

Yelp
Amazing home made Italian. Delicious! Don't expect ambiance which is completely fine. Unassuming inside with a wonderful little market to take home imported olives, olive oil, all things Italian highly recommend.

Pete F.

Yelp
Horrible experience. We didn't even sit down. Reservation was for 6:00. They're so backed up, they asked if we can do 6:30? We agree. When we arrive, place is packed and no food is coming out! Host says he'll be able to seat us. So we wait. Almost half hour goes by, we're still not seated and I haven't seen any food coming out of the kitchen. Almost every table doesn't have mains. I can see looks of frustration of people at every table. I don't know what happened but they dropped the ball big time. No way we would be seated soon and even if we did, wouldn't get our food for a very long time. It was Seinfeld. They knew how to take a reservation but didn't know how to keep a reservation. So we left and went elsewhere.
google avatar

Deb M.

Yelp
Food excellent, pasta homemade and I had the vodka sauce my husband had bolognese, very good. Alessandro the son took care of us and he was pleasant. We met Lisa the wife n owner and she too was very engaging and told us their story and how they met and starts their business. It's a family owned business. Don't be intimidated as interior is nothing fancy almost needs upgrade. Perfect place for great bowl of pasta!!

David F.

Yelp
Second visit to Savannah, first to FraLi. Returned...twice. The sandwiches are excellent, the lemon dessert was nice as well. If I return to Savannah, will try the entrees.
google avatar

Dena V.

Yelp
We found this little place using TripAdvisor. The food was amazing and the cute but small restaurant has a cozy family feel. I felt like I was in my Italian mother's kitchen (if I was Italian ). Highly recommend
google avatar

Trelani M.

Yelp
I just wanted dessert and baby it's perfect: taste and texture. Not overly sweet. Boyfriend got chicken alfredo: Pan seared cutlet with yummy pasta and authentic sauce. Love, love.
google avatar

Kathy P.

Yelp
Highly recommend this authentic Italian restaurant in downtown Savannah. There is usually one server in the front waiting tables, and one working the register. They have a glass window that you are able to look inside the kitchen to watch them make your food. The food here is top notch. My husband and I have been here a few times and everything has always been wonderful. They also have several shelves that sells pasta, sauces, and Italian snacks. Frali also have a refrigerator that stores cook dishes you can take home and reheat. My favorite dish here is their bolognese with meat sauce, but I have also come to love their paninis. You can't go wrong with any dishes here.
google avatar

Tracy B.

Yelp
Don't miss this one! The spinach and ricotta ravioli with pesto sauce might be the tastiest thing I have ever eaten. The pasta is made here. The sauces made here. The bread made here. Desserts OMGOODNESS! Good luck deciding.
