Miami’s Newest Restaurant Openings, June 2025 | Eater Miami

"A Peruvian favorite that has reopened after a seven-year hiatus on Miracle Mile, known for dishes such as a cannelloni stuffed with chicken stew, a New York strip with gnocchi, and a catch of the day; the restaurant also offers romantic “Wednesdate” nights with live music starting at 7 p.m." - Laine Doss

Miami’s New Restaurant Openings

"Does Miami need another Peruvian restaurant? Depends on who you ask. But at least Francesco in Coral Gables is a little different. They do Peruvian-Italian fusion with ceviches, squid ink risotto, short rib, and cannelloni with aji de gallina." - mariana trabanino, virginia otazo

A stylish high end Peruvian restaurant with Italian influences on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables. The highly acclaimed Francesco’s recently reopened after closing in 2018. It doesn’t disappoint in providing a great dining experience with non-traditional Peruvian food. Great for special occasions or to impress, or everyday dining for the more affluent. Great service and food in an atmosphere of luxury.

My recent visit to Francesco's Peruvian restaurant was an absolute delight! From start to finish, it was an experience that truly stood out. The food was nothing short of delicious. Every dish I tried tasted incredibly fresh and authentic, with flavors that were perfectly on point. What's more, the portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. Beyond the fantastic food, the service was incredible, thanks to Ofi. She was attentive, friendly, and truly made the dining experience exceptional.

This Peruvian restaurant has come back to life in Coral Gables. Location is now on miracle Mile with an Italian infusion to the Peruvian classics. Loved the atmosphere. Service was very good and the food was top notch. Definitely recommend.

I had a great dining experience at Francesco — the food was delicious, but what truly made the night unforgettable was the outstanding service from Miroslava. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. My favorite drink was the Basilico — an absolute must-try — and don’t leave without having the tres leches for dessert. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Francesco! The traditional ceviche for appetizer was the best I've ever had--fresh, zesty, and beautifully presented with a variety of textures from the corn and sweet potato. The margarita drink was a refreshing treat, with a unique foamy texture and a perfect balance of flavors. I was surprised by the Amaretto and Grand Marnier in the cocktail. Such a delicious twist to a margarita! Our server brought us a complimentary tuna crisp bite, which offered a deliciously tender and flavorful contrast. The salmon with mushroom risotto in honey soy sauce was a standout--perfectly grilled with a rich, savory flavor that paired beautifully with the creamy, earthy risotto. The honey soy sauce added a delightful sweetness that elevated the dish to a whole new level. The service was exceptional, and I must give a special shoutout to Luis, who was an amazing server--attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. He made the evening even more enjoyable with his excellent recommendations and warm hospitality. Highly recommend Francesco for an unforgettable meal!

We came here to celebrate our 1-year wedding anniversary, and everything about our experience was incredible! Our server, Erick, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. We started with the tiradito ceviche and scallops, both of which were fresh and full of flavor. For our mains, we had the NY strip with gnocchi and the arroz mariscos—both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. To top it off, we had the tres leches for dessert, which was simply amazing. I also had a lychee martini, and it was the perfect balance of sweet and refreshing. This was our first time here, but it definitely won’t be our last. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My husband and I have been meaning to try this place and finally got around to it for New Year's Day. What a wonderful way to start the new year. We started with the "Parilla de Mariscos"- usually comes with octopus but we were able to substitute for scallops ( wow!!!). The pairing of the avocado, tomato and potato was delish . The sauces and flavors were exquisite. Highly recommend you ask for it as your appetizer. I had the Lomo Salteado ( traditional dish) they have their own take on it with mushroom steak sauce and and a rice and bean side. Hubby had the short rib with the flavorful meat falling off the bone. It came served with beans and rice. Delicious! We tried their pisco sours ( traditional and passion fruit). Finished our meal with Tocinillo del cielo ( a cheese-like flan) also fabulous, Our server was Eric who was charming, informed us about the restaurant and made all these incredible recommendations. Ambiance was welcoming and loved their music. I even asked for their playlist! A must try!!

Yelp
Lackluster food : the duck ~$40 "large portion size" turned out to be the smallest 4 pepperoni sized slices of duck on a mountain of risotto, with nothing special or interesting about it. Could have been microwaved. The ceviche was dull and uninspired. Amazing ceviche is everywhere in Miami, how could they miss? We were then charged for appetizers that never arrived. No one checked our bill until we returned to the restaurant and had to wait for a chargeback. Kills the romance of any evening. They gave a card for a free drink. We don't drink. How can one place miss so badly at this price point?

Yelp
This hidden gem in the heart of Coral Gables is an absolute must-try. Francesco's has been around for a while, and while it recently reopened, it was a new discovery for me. What they've done with the space is beautiful--upscale yet homey, offering the perfect balance of elegance and comfort. Since their reopening, we've been several times and are always impressed. We've also brought friends when they're in town, and they've been equally wowed. The food is fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. We've tried nearly everything on the menu, and there's not a single miss. Some of my favorite starters include the Salmon Tiradito (Carpaccio), Tuna Musciame, and Pulpo a la Parilla. When I ordered the Pulpo, Eric (who is fantastic, by the way) recommended a platter that came with several other dishes. I wish I could remember the name, but it was absolutely delicious. I'm sure someone there can guide you in the right direction if you ask. Speaking of Eric, he's a true master of the cocktail game. We've tried a few of their signature drinks based on his recommendations, and they never disappoint. Always balanced and expertly crafted, their Lychee Martini is a must-try--not too sweet, just perfect. My boyfriend is also a fan of their Clear Negroni, which is absolutely fantastic. One thing to note: the crowd tends to be on the older side, so if that's not your scene, consider visiting for lunch or avoiding the dinner rush. Francesco's is never a miss. Bon appétit!

Yelp
Went to Francesco's with a group of 10 for a birthday dinner. The service was superb and the attention to detail was incredible. Then the drinks and food come and they are out of this world delicious! Cannot rave more about this dining experience, especially with such a large group. Francesco's blew us away!

Yelp
I love the new location. The establishment is gorgeous. Great place to have a drink because they have a gorgeous bar when you come in. The food was as good I remembered. During this visit we had ceviche, lomo saltado and the Oreo cheesecake. Everything was delicious but I must say I was surprisingly surprised that the cheesecake was outstanding. I would highly recommend it. The service was also very good. Our server didn't skip a beat. I didn't get to catch his name but he was very attentive.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful renovation of Francesco's. The ambience of the light blue with the natural wood is spectacular! Francesco's is a Peruvian / Italian restaurant. We started with the TIRADITO FRANCESO and CEVICHE CRIOLLO. Both were a mouthful of delicious flavors. For the main course SALMON A LA MIEL, SALMON CLEMENTINE and SEARED TUNA SALAD. Each one was spectacular. Our server was on point. Great recommendations! And last we ordered the Oreo Freddie Cheesecake. Yummm! If you want the freshest fish and amazing flavors you must go to Francesco's

Yelp
5 stars is not enough! Wow, wow, wow my husband is in love. I used to go to the first Francesco 20 years ago. We enjoyed our dinner and can't wait to come back. Everything was delicious and we had an amazing dinner!

Yelp
I had been to the original Francesco years ago. I loved this new version. The restaurant is chic inside, the service is top notch. Cute bar! Great wine. The food is spectacular. I had the arroz con mariscos. It's similar to a paella. The suspiro for dessert is delicious. Just as good as having it in Peru. I've already recommended it to everyone. Great comeback to the gables!

Yelp
Very good customer service. About the food, we ordered: The rocoto relleno, the potatoes were not well cooked, the sauce was good, but the cheese wasn't that great. The causa with fish, the fish came fried and it's the very fishy kind that leaves you an aftertaste, The ceviche clásico, was ok but we've had better at La Mar, the original Francesco, ceviche 105. Then for the drinks. Pisco sours were nice. I ordered the duck with green risotto, it wasn't that great, the risotto lacked flavor, the duck was ok, but this dish had the opportunity to be amazing arroz con pato the authentic way in a gourmet presentation. Just lacked the flavor. My son had lomo saltado with tacu tacu, unfortunately the tacu tacu had mushrooms, so he didn't like it but the rest he enjoyed it. My husband had the seco de carne and he liked it but he's had it better. My mom had the carapulcra and the same it was ok but not wow. Her husband had the caneloni with ají de gallina and he really enjoyed that. I think that maybe the best dish. Overall, it was nice but not worth the long drive for the quality of food. We are Peruvians and know are food well. The original Francesco was way better.

Yelp
Amazing from start to finish! Only place that I've experienced offers Manchego cheese stuffed olives for the dirty martinis. Fantastic service and incredibly delicious food. Rudy was our server and he was super friendly and attentive. Their house ceviche is made with Corvina, definitely a plus since some of these other Peruvian places are going with a cheaper fish. My husband had the short rib entrée and I had the salmon both were out of this world! October Martini is a gin lychee martini infused the flowers... It was amazing! We cannot wait to return.

Yelp
Supremely excellent. I like to support great new business that: 1) provide excellent food and service 2) are down to Earth, non snooty 3) service is humble and on top of things This restaurant is only a month old and they're providing top notch service and food. The vibe is laid back, romantic, and high end (but not pretentious). Miami needs more places like this

Yelp
Great place, sat at the bar. Erick and Mauricio were so friendly and welcoming. They also gave great recommendations. The place is beautiful and has a huge wine selection. The tiradito was delicious, it had great flavor and was light. The passion sour was great and the cup size was deceiving but full of flavor. The chilcano is great if you're looking for a refreshing drink.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance in a great Coral Gables location on Mira le Mile. Service was very courteous and professional. Food was very good quality although portions were a little disappointing. A big fan of this restaurant in Miraflores, Lima Peru.

Yelp
Beautiful decor, with soft lighting and inviting ambiance. But the food? OMG! Delicious!! So much so that we came back the next weekend. Excellent service and lovely drinks too. This isn't just any Peruvian restaurant, this is top shelf.

Yelp
Francesco is back and it delivers. This place opened just three months ago, and I was nostalgic for the old Franchesco from 20 years ago. The dining experience was great all around. Terrific ambience. The service and attention to detail was first class. Alejandro our waiter was on his game. The shrimp causa appetizer is amazing. Susy had the short ribs and I had the salmon. Perfectly prepared with great flavor. A suspiro Limeño for dessert capped a great night. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Wow! What an amazing experience we had. My sister and I went to dinner here last night and I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience!! Our server Eric was amazing very attentive and helped us with the best wine and best food! The food was outstanding and such a great vibe overall.

Yelp
We had eaten in Francesco at its old location many times. They just moved in to the Miracle Mile location a couple of months ago. We stopped by and had a wonderful time. The restaurant reminded me of the best restaurants in New York, the white table cloth, the quality of attention the constant visits of waiters to fill the wine glasses, the decor, The quality of meat in the Lomo Salteado The attention of the owner ! We are going back this week!

Yelp
A great renaissance of the old Francesco in Coral Gables. Awesome food, ambiance, and Erick the bartender is a great ambassador to the establishment. Excellent ceviches and some main entrées with an Italian twist are a welcome twist to the menu. Sensibly priced wine list.

Marc M.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our lunch. If you go, have the special Taste of the Gables menu which for something like $35 gives you an appetizer, a main and a dessert. Well worth it and the portions are rationally-sized. The quality of the food, the presentation, service and friendliness of the place are amazing. I strongly recommend it to everyone.

Zeida S.

Yelp
The food and the drinks are absolutely wonderful, perfectly executed, and innovative. Exceptional service, educated staff, all set in a stunning dining room around a spectacular bar with beautiful finishes and great ambiance. Absolutely five stars!
