The atmosphere is laid back, casual. Food is exceptional with a full bar and great food options even veggie pizza! The staff were cordial and timely. I had a young gentleman box up my pizza! Service oriented people! Highly recommend this place. Thank you staff!

We did happy hour on the patio. Service wasn’t great. Waited about 30 minutes, twice between check ups. Had to wave over other waiters and put orders in. Drinks were good and food was good. Fairly priced too.

Google
The go to sports bar in Dallas. The food is amazing with multiple options to choose from. This bar has multiple televisions for sports. The staff are friendly and upbeat. I love most is the fact that this is a veteran owned business. I highly recommend Frankie’s Downtown when in Dallas.

The cheesesteak and club sandwich were both good, sweet potato fries had a little kick to them. Service was mediocre. Our appetizer came out after we had already received our sandwiches. Something that stood out was my wife asked to make a couple changes to the sandwich, in which the server responded “we discourage that, I don’t know how the chef will feel about that.” After explaining that she just wanted to remove two items, the server said she will be able to do that. I get some places are strict when it comes to modifying meals, never experienced this with bar food.

Google
Nice place. Good seating inside, staff was nice, and the pizza we got was amazing. The Texas Cheesesteak could be improved, but wasn't terrible. Overall, it was a nice place.

Been here several times, food is always fresh and flavorful. I love the southwest salad. But today I threw in a pizza and loaded fries. Happy hour has great deals and margaritas are strongg. This afternoon I was more inclined to leave a review because of our server, Stone. He was really attentive and kind. I’ll Defenitly be back more often. Thank you Stone!

Google
Great bar, we made a couple of visits during our time in Dallas. Friendly staff and good value drinks especially during happy hour which is weekdays before 7. Small outdoor seating area a bonus. Large screens broadcasting sports and weather with no overbearing music during the day. Just what we were looking for! 👍

Google
Food was very good, the service was excellent. Only thing we did not realize is they added the gratuity in the checks if you had a party I tjink of 6 or more and we didnt get actual receipts. We had 8 wings, club sandwich, 1 moscow mule drink, and a pretzel. The bill came out to $70 witj gratuity. .

Yelp
Another GREAT experience at Frankie's!! Adam was on the spot! He made great recommendations and was attentive but not overbearing, friendly but not fake, and I never had to ask for a refill. The Texas Cheesesteak was delicious! Add the jalapeño. It's totally worth it! Great in both chicken and beef! At lunch, they also give you a cookie to go! Even at lunchtime, there was plenty of seating and lots of happy people enjoying a great space!

Yelp
Frankie's is a great local spot They have events almost every evening which are good too. I rented out their basement for an event and it was excellent and well taken care of.

Yelp
Was looking for a grilled chicken sandwich and they didn't pop up in my search but I had eaten here before and knew the food was good. They should for sure pop up though! I got the Larry bird and it was great. It had thick cut peppercorn crusted bacon and bbq sauce on it. It was slow when I went so service was quick and quiet inside. Would recommend!

Yelp
Stopped here after work to grab Happy Hour with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty packed, and I understand why, because they had a great HH menu for cocktails and food and it lasts longer than most until 7 pm. We both also ordered the quesadillas on the HH menu and they were good and sizeable. The server was good initially, but then was nowhere to be found as time went on, so didn't love that, the manager made up for that though by providing us with a "shark attack" drink which was very sweet but a neat concept. The shark contains a shot that you pour into the drink. The espresso martinis was where it is at! They were SO good! Definitely check them out if you live or work in the area, parking isn't great so better if you're already close by. Forgot to mention they have a downstairs area which is nice for a private event and they have comedy mic nights and other events down there throughout the week also. Check out the schedule on their website.

Yelp
KT and kenji were awesome helping me out while sitting at the bar. The old fashioned comes smoked and is very good. The chicken wings had a nice crispness and the honey sriracha flavor was good. Not overly spicy but had a nice kick. The space itself is large and has a downstairs area as well

Yelp
The happy hour had a good selection especially if French 75's are your jam! Erica the bartender provided good prompt service! Nice chill environment to enjoy cocktails after a plane ride!

Yelp
Food: 7.5/10 Service: 5/10 Ambiance: 7.9/10 As we know, I love a good tasty meal, but I also care equally, if not moreso, about the quality of the food. I ordered a burger, given my large appetite for the evening and was definitely satisfied when it comes to flavor and portion size. Given the taste palette I have for authentic food however I could tell that this was a place where the food may not be super fresh or made in house. Frankies had a surprisingly nice little cute elevated bar ambiance on the inside in the mist of downtown Dallas.

Yelp
Dropped into Frankie's to watch the final four championship. What a cool place to catch a game some drinks and great food. We tried the buffalo medium wings and the lemon pepper wings, both traditional, and they were really good. They were cooked perfectly, juicy the saucy and dry rub For the two were absolutely perfect. I also had a side Caesar salad that was really tasty and bigger than your general side salad. Our table also had the Cobb salad which was equally as good. The drinks were well-made, and the bartenders were attentive to our personal likes, which was great All around a super fun place worth checking out!

Yelp
We stopped here for a late-night repast. We weren't disappointed. Food was served promptly, hot, and delicious, and the service was impeccable. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I've been here a few times, it's definitely become a frequent spot for a quick drink and bites when in the area. The key lime mojito is my favorite drink!! My only thing is that it's been inconsistent where I prefer it close to a slushy and sometimes it's been plain liquid so I hope the bartenders can nail it down. The food is pleasantly good! Their fish and chips aren't too bad and made out of cod. The service is pretty good and I don't have any complaints. Parking however is a nightmare so I would rec ride sharing or stopping by if you're in the downtown area already.

Yelp
Decided to check this place out on Friday night as it is located in the downtown Dallas area where I was staying. Good vibe and very friendly atmosphere. Tried the classic margherita pizza and it was great! Not too expensive and worth checking out if you in the area.

Yelp
Had brunch here with a group of friends on a Sunday. The service was fantastic; out waitress was very attentitve and patient! The food was pretty good! We ordered the mimosa carafe, but next time I think we'll just order individual mimosas to save money. Lots of tvs to watch games. Bar seating, small and large tables, and outdoor tables. Lots of natural lighting too. Parking can be a struggle though since it's downtown

Yelp
Spent a great time. Food was really good. Good selection of drinks. Draft beer was great. I enjoyed the ambiance. Service was awesome.

Yelp
My coworker/friend found this spot somehow. About a half mile walk from our hotel, we ventured here Tuesday and back again on Thursday. Tuesday was packed as we realized it was happy hour all day Tuesday which explained how lit it was. Fortunately we got a spot at the bar and went with the happy hour bottled beers which were only $4 per beer. Not bad! Food-wise, the chips and guacamole are pretty good although the chips are really thin so they'll break apart when dipping. Use that spoon as your guide. For entrees, I did the Larry Bird sandwich which is a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon, two different cheeses, and bbq sauce. Got it with sweet potato fries. Chicken was tender and moist and bbq sauce had some good flavor. Although it's not the best sandwich, it's filling and will do the job after a couple beers. Really liked the sweet potato fries which were in waffle fries format. My coworker got the wings which I was a bit envious of when seeing them, they were large and had the right sauce balance. We came back Thursday for beers and eats again at the bar. This time I went with the mediterranean wrap with those sweet potato fries. I enjoyed the wrap with the olives, cucumber, tomato, turkey and greek dressing mixed in. My friend got the cheddar burger, nothing special but it's filling; just like the larry bird sandwich. I appreciate this spot. It's not the greatest but it's got cheap beers, a fun atmosphere, and good tasty bar food (think burgers, sandwiches, bar appetizers, pizza, and some plated entrees). There's also plenty of tvs to watch sports where the mavericks, stars, and rangers were all playing that week. I'll definitely be back when staying downtown!

Yelp
Watched a game with a few friends at this place. Also had lunch. Ordered the grilled chicken burger- fries were fresh and so was the chicken. Enjoyed the TV setup at the bar- it was easy to watch the game. The staff gave excellent customer service. The place was pretty empty, so it was nice to watch the game Very hard to find parking downtown. All is paid during certain hours.

Yelp
I visited this spot while in Dallas for a work conference. After a long day at the conference, it was a welcomed treat! When I arrived, I was promptly greeted by a friendly hostess and sat at a window table for 1. Almost immediately, my server made her way to my table, welcomed me, offered a few drink suggestions and left me to peruse the menu...just the right vibe! In that Texas heat, I just opted for some iced water. I decided to it simple and order garlic parm wings and mozzarella sticks. The wings were seasoned and cooked to perfection! I can't stand a wing that is too crispy, but that wasn't an issue here! They were cooked just right, juicy and flavorful! The mozzarella sticks were Texas sized! My picture doesn't do justice, but they were the size of an average egg roll! I definitely got my big back on and crushed them! Dipping them in the marinara sauce hit the spot!

Yelp
If I remember correctly her name is Chris! She provided great service super happy I came in due to a recommendation.

Yelp
Cait is sweetest bartender in downtown She is always super attentive and makes sure the service is on point.

Yelp
We arrived at 13:51 and it is now 14:34 and we have seen our waiter once, received the beer but have yet to have been addressed by anyone since. Fast forward we are now at 15:56 and finally tabbing out after ordering simple wraps and salads. Wraps came out wrong. Love the ambience because it's a bar on Friday, however little excuse for a bar and grill to suck at half of your services.

Elaine B.

Yelp
Heyy!! Okay so I've been going to Frankie's for a while, like 5 or 6 yrs right! I love the food and drinks So this last time I went I noticed they changed the underground to a comedy club!! The only thing about that I felt kinda weird I don't want to say racist but my spirit was right any more there!!

Jazmin G.

Yelp
I've never had a server as good as Adam! He definitely made me a regular and will be coming back on his shifts. amazing service and a cutie? what else can a girl ask for!

Yelp
What year after a bad experience at Italian restaurant period I had the greatest experience with a trainee and a wonderful bartender named j.T(I think) Both of them were very welcoming and didn't treat my anything like the Italian place i left a bad review on. Love these ladies. Will be back!!

Yelp
Great spot to watch sports. Some friends and I came here to watch our Lions play. Drinks taste a little watered down but food is actually good. I highly recommend the pizza and the wings. And it's the perfect location - in the heart of Downtown Dallas!
google avatar

Allie Y.

Yelp
Frankie's Downtown is a classic, signature bar nestled in the heart of downtown Dallas. Its biggest charm is that they have great deals on happy hours and overall everything is an extremely fair price for the area. You can't go wrong with grabbing some appetizers and drinks here with your coworkers after work! Expect typical bar food quality but it's not bad at all. Be mindful of the area as it's near DART bus and train stations and can be sketchy for the ladies if you're walking alone. Unfortunately, cat calling is very bad in the area.

Yelp
I went in and ordered a southfork burger and chips and cheese. I also ordered the nitro temptress stout. The burger was amazing, it was tasty and compared to burgers I've eaten in the northeast, it was massive. The waitress Mari, was very kind. She was social, she checked on me to make sure I was good. I didn't have to wait for my second beer, it came as soon as I was done with the first one, she was great. Food and service 10/10!

Dawnj A.

Yelp
Food was very good and very reasonably priced. The mood is very low key and relaxed. Service is top notch!

Yelp
First time at Frankie's downtown & it didn't disappoint. The jalapeño poppers were spicy & delicious. Texas cheesesteak & wings were also pretty amazing. Good beer selections. Our server Maricela was super nice & very attentive, we never waited for drink refills. Will be back.

This place is stellar. Great food superb atmosphere and terrific staff. Inside is great. Vintage steel erection with brick n mortar walls. Music and a view while you eat. It's a great spot to enjoy with company.

Yelp
Great Sports Bar!! Good size for a group too. Aside from all day Happy Hour on Tuesdays, their Queso is On Point!! Probably some of the best I've had in downtown Dallas. Its a big claim i know, but I've tried quite a few places that weren't good whatsoever. We went after the TxST vs Rice Bowl game...it was packed but the Wait staff did an awesome job keeping up our orders!!
google avatar

Emily T.

Yelp
Food was phenomenal, service was good. They were decorating for Halloween when we walked in and it was looking great!

Yelp
Bar & Grill with some fun! This place is great for groups or individuals. Note if you have a group over 25 you can rent out the room downstairs, the do NOT take reservations but it's a first come first serve bar and grill. There are two tables that fit 10 in a group and plenty of tables to split up the fun. Happy Hour - YES please great specials on drinks and snacks for about 1/2 the cost. The picture of the quesadilla is the snack which was $7... not bad. Happy hour is until 7pm. We had a group of about 20 and had a blast. The service was a bit slow....it took over 30mins to get our food but be realistic when going in a large group.

Yelp
We came in here for the NFL Draft (just getting around to reviewing). We ordered a round and some food. Some of us were ready for another beer but we didn't see our server for 15 minutes. We asked other servers and they had no idea where she went. We finally got someone to close our tabs and we headed down to City Tavern to watch the rest of the draft. The pizza was not good.
google avatar

Matt H.

Yelp
From the moment I walked in the mood, the welcomeness, from the amazing Maricela greeting me right away at the door even though she was slightly disappointed I was going to the bar. Mariah the other server was nice enough to stop by and ask how everything was going. Once I got to my seat Dani was right there waiting got me a water and ready for a drink order! I mean on top of it. Everyone in the restaurant was so accommodating. Dani made a couple suggestions on food and I ended up with the quesadilla which was phenomenal! (You can customize it)! Honestly one of the best and most homy experiences I've seen and get to enjoy in downtown Dallas!

Yelp
After a disappointing evening at the Dallas Holocaust museum hubby and I needed some food and an evening cocktail. Stop by this lovely establishment and was very pleased with the drinks, food and service. What is especially unique is Happy Hour is all day on Tuesday. That's right $7 margaritas all night and I had my fair share of mango margaritas bc they were delicious along with my yummy wings. This spot was a hit and highly recommended. There is garage parking for $10 around the corner or you can always take a Uber.

Yelp
Amazing time watching Copa America here tonight. Leslie was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The drinks were strong and the food was amazing. Make sure to visit this place when you're in Dallas area!

Yelp
Great service and environment!! Mari was fantastic and checked on us frequently, even though we were only a 2-top. We enjoyed the outdoor patio area. Drinks were cold and delicious - shout-out to the bartender!! We are new to living in downtown Dallas, and Frankie's has officially made our list of "local go-to's"!! Can't wait to visit again!! Thanks again to Mari for GREAT service!!

Yelp
Yeah, it's a sports bar, but a little better than average. Big menu. Lots of TVs. Good service. Busy.
google avatar

Jack K.

Yelp
Came in for a late dinner after a Mavs game. The atmosphere here is so pure and elegant for a sports bar type of establishment. I will certainly be returning as I had a wonderful experience with my meal. The service is above average and the buffalo chicken pizza is absolutely delicious. I can't recommend stopping by here enough.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to meet with friends! Drinks were mixed well, beer was cold, hot wings were good and the service from Marisela was excellent! Will be returning when in town!

Yelp
Came here on a whim and ordered the Hoodoo Fries and the Fire Station #18. Both were great dishes and hit the spot. Although I prefer my burgers to be wide than tall, I will make an exception for this given my love of onions rings. Put them on anything, and they will make it better. I love how this burger was unabashedly rich and really leaned into this element. The onion rings brought the dish to being "stunt food" but I think it seemed intentional, adding a much needed textural contrast to the burger. A light spice counteracted the richness mildly, but this was far and beyond an endulgement. The Hoodoo Fries were my favorite, because I'm also a sucker for pork belly, and it's more rare to see it utilized well outside of Asian cuisine. The fries were very crisp and well-seasoned, and served as a solid vehicle for the toppings. Overall, these two dishes were more than enough for two individuals to share, and even then, the richness may get to people before they even finish. Might not be for some people, but it was just what I needed that particular day. They could offer acidic options (e.g., pickled onions) to balance out the dish, but overall, I would consider this 4/5 stars.
