A tiny westside café with serious standards, Frankly pours coffees from top roasters and keeps the mood intimate. The Gazette profiled its community-first ethos, while locals praise its precise milk work and patio hang.

My wife and I travel all over the United States and have a cute little tradition “Coffee Dates in every state.” We chose Frankly Coffee for my birthday coffee date in Colorado. The tiny cute space, and rainbow artwork drew us in… 0/10 would NOT recommend. The staff is beyond rude. Upon walking in one of the employees said “if you could close the door that would be great.” That should have been our sign to leave. The cashier didn’t even really acknowledge me standing in front of her so that was awkward trying to order. Got our drink, and it’s basically a cup of milk. I said “thank you” to the human that handed me my drink and she responded “yeah.” I paid $9.57 for a terrible drink and the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We left Mueller State Park early in a.m. and found this little shop as we made our way home to Nebraska. Best latte I've had in a very long time. High quality beans.Tiny space but they have a nice outdoor seating area. Good French pastries.

Google
Fantastic cozy local coffee shop with a great loose leaf tea selection as well as local pastries. Mostly grab and go with a small outdoor patio area or a few counter seats inside used mainly to wait for your order.

☕ This place has one of the best London Fog teas I’ve ever had! 🌫️ Normally, I'm always a bit worried about coffee shops because, let’s face it, they love coffee, and I’m a lonely tea lover. 🍵 But this place was great! They also had my favorite Pain au Chocolat, aka Chocolate Croissants. 🥐 Park on the street, pop in and order, and take a minute to enjoy it on their lovely patio. 🌿

We visited Frankly Coffee three mornings in a row while in town from Kansas City for our wedding — and it became the highlight of our mornings! On our wedding day, they surprised us with a free coffee and the kindest well-wishes, which meant so much. The coffee here is true craft coffee — rich, balanced, and expertly made. The pastries (which I’m guessing are from a local bakery) were absolutely delicious — flaky, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff’s warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this gem! Hands down the best coffee in Colorado Springs.

The coffee was very nice, and the caramel latte was especially delicious. The staff was also very friendly, which made the experience even better.

I was just in this morning and watched the entire team of ladies absolutely crush a two hours long crowd (Saturday!) come through the tiny spot with grace and excellent customer service. They managed the line and orders with smiles and ease, while paying attention to each order and person in line. The space is small and sometimes folks can get a little overwhelmed, but they each have the skill to put their customers at ease and deliver a high quality experience and product every time.

Google
Had a delightful encounter at Frank’s. Bryse was quite knowledgeable. My corridor was excellent, while my daughter enjoyed a matcha latte. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Best. Beans. In. Town. Love the barista's knowledge, care, and interest in sharing what they know about the artistic roasts they sell as well as the simple yet perfect ways they prepare their coffee. It's a wonderful experience to drink any cup of Frankly coffee.

Yelp
A nice coffee place! The inside seating is minimal, but they have a large outdoor seating area! The drinks are good and it's nice to enjoy an iced beverage on a warm day on their patio

Yelp
Pricey, yet delicious and aesthetic coffee shop between downtown and old Colorado city. I tried a dirty chai latte and will say that the chai is more on the spicy side than sweet-quite good! I paired it with an almond croissant which was to die for. Very small coffee shop, but there is some seating if you'd like to stay. I would say it's best for take away.

Yelp
Swung by this place while in town and on the hunt for coffee. The coffee was delicious, as was the chocolate pastry I got, but what made this place so memorable was the guys working there. While I was ordering a man with admitted mental health challenges came in and was chatting us up. Both guys behind the counter were very kind and patient with him and listened to his story rather than shooing him away. It struck a chord with me for some reason. Anyhoo. Good coffee. Good pastries. Good people.

Yelp
EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT - cute little coffee shop, best latte I have had in a long time. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
I visited Frankly Coffee on May 21, 2024, whilst on honeymoon. My wife and I ordered a decaf latte as well as a matcha to go. While waiting on drinks, Hannah, the barista, was extremely hospitable. She spoke with sweetness that felt rare in Colorado Springs. My wife and I were thoroughly impressed with the service. The space it self was small, but cozy. The hospitality from Hannah brought a home-like feeling to the space. The drinks tasted like they were made with a lot of experience and love. Frankly Coffee is a good shop, but Hannah makes it great. I highly recommend this small little coffee shop.

Yelp
A tiny space inside and outdoor seating. The employees are knowledgeable about coffee roasts and the beans they sell. Coffee was excellent.

Yelp
I stopped by Frankly Coffee so unexpectedly because I was around an area for a massage/spa business...but the business didn't respond..so I had an hour or two to kill before my next meeting started. I drove passed Frankly Coffee and decided to stop by to just chill and enjoy my weekend morning meeting and was so glad I did! I had iced Mexican Mocha (mocha with a little bit of spice) and a chocolate queenlet. I honestly didn't know what type of pastry it was..but I think it's sort of a puff pastry (that got piped with Chocolate cream in this case...though I think they had another option of caramel flavor as well). What I liked was the environment there...the staff was very polite and nice.it was pretty chill sitting outside in their outdoor patio area and just enjoying the morning...along with wonderfully tasted coffee. I don't really have coffee so often..but once in a while..it's a nice treat to just enjoy my morning. I thought the pastry was good (though slightly expensive....but I think it was sort of locally made..so that's ok). Everyone at the patio area seemed to just enjoy their morning. If I were living in the area...this would be a spot I would love to visit for sure. Thanks Frankly! I had a wonderful time there at your shop and in your hometown!

Yelp
Traveling from Texas and certified coffee snob, saw the reviews for this spot and had to try. It's all that it said it was! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Had a latte today and then was getting some work done as I had some time to kill. This guy walked in with a dog, a bully breed, pit bull or similar which was actually off-leash till right before he walked in the door. The lash was however pretty much a moot point due to the confined space of the shop and also the owners unwillingness to control the dog. It was sniffing at my feet and I said "excuse me" and he reined it in briefly, but in a minute or two it was back. I'm not ok being forced to interact with someone's dog in general, but especially not one of these bully breeds which is statistically more likely to be aggressive and can seriously injure or even kill someone. This coffee shop should seriously consider a "service animals only" sign, especially given the confined space. I'll not be back until I hear it has one.

Yelp
Just had their coffee and it was on point! Sweet lady making it, very small place but looks good.

Yelp
We stopped in while passing through town. A great spot for a great cup of coffee! We got lattes, tea and a hot chocolate- everything was really good!
google avatar

Yelp
GREAT COFFEE!! I was visiting from california and was reading a lot of reviews to try out a great coffee shop and I'm glad I chose this one. I am a coffee snob and really like my coffee smooth. This place makes very smooth coffee and it's super creamy. I think you should definitely come here. Great iced vanilla lattes :)
google avatar

Andreas B.

Yelp
Great coffee drinks and friendly staff at the counter. This will be my new go-to place for sure!

Alexandra S.

Yelp
Stellar coffee, of course. But also feels very local and one of a kind. Great spot to grab a specialty latte and pastry and sit outside in the sun.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
The best matcha latte in Colorado Springs! The baristas at Frankly know how to properly prepare matcha and go above and beyond to ensure that it's done correctly, without skipping any corners. The space is small, but homey and each drink is crafted with intention and care. My favorite coffee shop in the city by far!
google avatar

Vincent G.

Yelp
Love the little mom and pop feel of this coffee joint. And of course a tasty cappuccino was to be had. Ummmm. Maybe hard to see/find, but worth it if you do find it.

Yelp
Frankly coffee is literally the best coffee shop in Colorado Springs and in Manitou Springs. They are located in Colorado Springs but only 7 minutes away from Manitou-- so no matter which way you live, they have the best coffee drinks in the area. I've been here about 4-5 times and I think I'm hooked for life! This place is going to be the best neighborhood coffee shop in town-- I just know it! I bet they'll be around for a very long time, probably becoming a neighborhood favorite. I've become addicted to their almond latte, plain. They make it just as you like it. If you ask for extra foam or extra hot or extra shot, they'll do it however you want it. And they do it just right, every single time. It's priced well for the quality drink you are getting and the taste and execution of their drinks is Awe-mazing! My drink runs 5.5 and totally worth it! And can I mention that their pastries are freaking bomb?! I had their Nutella Queente, probably spelling that wrong BUT it's out of this world delish and also reasonably priced. Frankly has become my new favorite spot not only for their amazing coffee but because their service is friendly and personable--like a genuine neighborhood coffee shop should be. Thanks Frankly for making my coffee dreams come true! I'm so happy you're open! You are my favorite new routine.

Yelp
Tried the Deep Blue Sea with almond milk as per Barista recommendation. It was phenomenal. Excellent coffee and passionate staff, highly recommend stopping by.

Sydni G.

Yelp
Cute little place, very little indoor seating, but a cute little patio next door. Decent prices and great flavors to choose from.

Darrell B.

Yelp
I was in town visiting and happened to stop by this coffee place. Top notch service, coffee, creativity and vibe. The staff there were very nice. All the drinks were great and the quality is top notch. I visit a lot of coffee places when traveling and this was a top 5 for me! A must try...

Jessica H.

Yelp
Guys! You have to try this place. They really know how to make coffees and pastries. We got a cold brew, a seasonal coconut iced coffee, a goat cheese and beet quiche, and two morning buns because they looked so dang good. Everything has been fantastic and it has a real home feel once you're inside. The service was fantastic!

Yelp
Beautiful hot chai - great service:). Thank you Emily. My go to spot on Colorado Ave.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic little coffee place. The staff takes pride in the drinks they make and is extremely friendly. Definitely making this a regular stop.
google avatar

Yelp
The guy who helped us the last 6 times we came here was extremely nice, patient and passionate. You could tell the employee wanted to make coffee it didn't seem to bother him handling separate checks.
google avatar

Yelp
Frankly Coffee is a charming, hipster, quaint coffee shop that gives you the quirky unique vibes of Old Colorado City. I ordered an almond milk latte with honey and it was sooooo good! I highly recommend coming here on a nice beautiful day so you can sit out on the patio at one of their cute picnic tables.
google avatar

Madeline D.

Yelp
Very friendly place to grab a wonderful coffee. Barista was very friendly and coffee was wonderful! We also had a Apple turnover that was delightful.

Cat B.

Yelp
Excellent service, great coffee, super cute shop. I had a cortado, which was delightful and my sisters got the caramel, the coconut and the cardamom mocha, each of which was super tasty, a little sweet but not overwhelmingly so.

Yelp
Colorado Springs coffee shops are one of my favorite parts of the city. This is a very nice, small local coffee shop in the Springs. The owner/employees are extremely friendly and know a lot about their coffee. Service 5/5. The coffee is also 5/5. The Americano and Cappuccino are both amazing and have distinct but subtle tastes. Very good quality coffee. The only thing is that the quality of the togo cups could be better because the lids feel a bit flimsy when drinking in the car. Their pastries are also delicious and brought in from the French Kitchen with authentic ingredients. Highly recommend. We tried the fantastic chocolate croissant, but next time I want to try the apple turnover and the caramel pastry.
google avatar

Jayde D.

Yelp
Great coffee and friendly staff. They were super knowledgeable and also gave my dog a treat ! Cute outside seating too!
google avatar

R F.

Yelp
If you have the hankering for really good espresso, try this place. You will not be disappointed. For coffee, I recommend the cortado. The pastries are good also. There's limited seating though. Service is exceptional. They also sell whole beans and they even offer to grind it if you prefer. We are planning to go back to try the other selections.
google avatar

Yelp
Cortado was amazing! My wife got an iced chai that was really good as well. Small place, best if you're on the go. Not the coffee shop to hang out for the day. If you're on the hustle and need a coffee but don't want to sacrifice quality, then this is your go-to. Will be back soon!
google avatar

Corrie S.

Yelp
A fantastic addition to the Westside! So excited to have Frankly Coffee blocks from my place of work, knowing that I'm always looking for a good cup of coffee. A compact space, with everything for your morning cup of coffee or your midday pick-me-up. Their staff is friendly and kind! Also - so impressed with their selection of baked goods and pastries. I'm very excited to see this spot added to the ranks of great coffee in Colorado Springs.
google avatar

Sydney B.

Yelp
Such a cute little coffee shop! Beware, there is close to no seating inside, but they do have a great outdoor patio seating area. The employees are all so kind, and they have great options for drinks and pastries!

Jason E.

Yelp
A small shop featuring proper espresso drinks and one pour over option. Outside area is sunny but with umbrellas. Wifi signal was suitable for laptop work. Both employees I've interacted with were happy to engage about coffee.
google avatar

Gerald P.

Yelp
Great cap for me and iced drinks for the kids. If you want 3rd wave coffee (not Starbucks), this is solid choice!
google avatar

Seth M.

Yelp
Awesome place. Superb coffee and espresso. Outstanding pastries, great patio and really friendly service. Looking forward to coming back next time I'm in town.

Zoe H.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Colorado Springs coffee shops but this may be the best one yet. Coffee is so smooth and delicious, featuring roasters like sweet bloom & roseline. For a smaller shop they still had options and the aesthetic is cool & fun! Wish they had some gluten free pastries but that's just a nice to have. Coffee is killer, staff is friendly & I'm so pumped to have yet another wonderful coffee option here in the springs!

Jolina E.

Yelp
Amazing coffee shop. Their coffee is the best! Everyone is very friendly. I also love their pastries and nice patio. Definitely recommended.
google avatar

Logan D.

Yelp
Best vanilla latte I have ever had. I needed coffee and navigated to the Dunkin' Donuts which was closed. Drove by and saw this place. Got in the door at 2:58. The guy working was super nice and didn't even mention it was time to close. Ordered a vanilla latte and it was the best I have ever had probably ever. Delicious. I would love to come back next time in CO springs. Yum!
google avatar

Rowland S.

Yelp
Great little cafe! My cortado with Sweet Bloom spro was perfect! Pourover was great as well! You can tell by the coffee gear that they know what they're doing. It's small, so seating limited, but super good coffee. I'll be a regular!

Ken P.

Yelp
Very nice local coffee and pastry shop! Wonderful young folks who take excellent care of their patrons! What impressed me is they take the time to learn their patrons names, remember these folks and what they like! Have been there all week and have added this nice shop to my "must frequent/visit" when I am in COS!

Kaiti P.

Yelp
$5.30 + tip is a ridiculous amount for a coffee that's the size of a tall at Starbucks. Their Mexican coffee special is a joke. Based on the description they had set out I would've never thought they would've made it spicy. I'm just so disappointed in this place. Like not even just a sprinkle of hot spicy it's overwhelming the original mocha flavor. Idk man, gave me racist vibes

Selena J.

Yelp
Our friends recommended this coffee shop to us and it did not disappoint! The staff is very sweet and friendly, the shop is super clean and CUTE! I got their buzzing bee and apple turnover and they were both really delicious! If you have a chance to stop by or is curious about this place, don't hesitate! Just come on down and pay them a visit! You'll be happy that you did
google avatar

Amy D.

Yelp
This is a great little coffee shop with straight-forward but delicious coffee. They had a special called the buzzing bee with cold brew, lemon and honey that was so good we returned for it three times while on our vacation. Latte and cold brew were also delicious and made from what appeared to be carefully-selected roasters from the mountain west. The pastries were also delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would happily recommend this shop to anyone in Colorado Springs.

The G.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing coffee. I normally do not write reviews and this place was so good that I felt it was necessary !

Austin G.

Yelp
Incredible coffee, friendly people. Love it. My iced vanilla oatmilk latte was ridiculously good, and they were kind enough to let me taste some of their different roasts.

R L.

Yelp
Very smooth and delicious cortado and mocha. The pastries we had--nutella kouign amann, pain au chocolat, and choco chip cookie--were all great, too. Service was excellent--he even wiped the chairs dry outside after a brief shower. We found parking nearby. We bookmarked this place when we saw it driving north, and I'm so glad we did because it really delivered.
