Frank's Pizza

Tired of the local pizza. Overpriced, inconsistent and thin. Went out of our way on a rainy day to take out from Frank’s, and it was well worth the trip. Several people behind the counter welcomed me, and after a few minutes I was on my way to the car with 2 slices in a small box. Which is much preferable to an oily bag. My grandson, the pizza maven, was very impressed. Slices were thick, ingredients were quality, and the price was right. Plenty of seating in the store. Other Italian food available. I was surprised that they charged sales tax, but I assume it is allowable. So no complaints. Our new ‘go-to’ pizza place. Good job.

Was craving some pizza and pass by and thought why not. I saw that it was a resturant and had a few people in there so I said it must be good. I like that one of the men working behind the counter was welcoming. As soon as I enter he acknowledged us . He spoke and ask if we had any questions. I took some time then I asked. We sat in the dining area and waited. A waitress came over pretty quickly but we told her we were waiting for the pizza. The service was good. We got a pie with half cheese and half pepperoni. The pizza was fresh as he said it would be. However it was a little salty for me and soggy that the cheese was melting off. My BF said this was normal for it to be soggy and the cheese and pepperoni falling off as it just came out of the oven. The pizza was $23 and with a drink came up to $26. It was 8 slices for the pie. Edit: August 2024 After purchasing pizza in manhattan, I said Franks is way better.I now realize the cheese falling off and it being soft is the best part. Thus I've been here twice.

This is one of the best places along Flatbush to get pizza. Just don't have it delivered because the delivery guy tries to shake you down for more money If you don't tip him enough. I'll only be going into order from now on.

dine in service is great and pizza heros and soups are very good. Their hero bread is great and heros are properly toasted to perfection , but pasta dishes are usually way overcooked. sausage and peppers parm and chicken parm are their best heros. Also their cold antipasto and fried zuchinni (which is a huge portion) are excellent and very reasonably priced

Frank's! One of our neighborhood Pizzeria/ Restaurants. The service is superb. The food is delicious. They bring you warm bread with cold butter, so tasty. Refreshing beer or House Zinfandel ! We start with appetizers a Sicilian slice to share And gooey crunchy delicious mozzarella sticks ! Recommended dishes are the Penne Primavera. Every vegetable is tasty. The sauce is fresh and delicious! Baked ziti and eggplant Parmesan also recommended! The price is reasonable! Always a good meal. Highly recommend!

It's been 20 years since I've had a slice here and oh my, nothing has changed. Deliciously fresh ingredients, a perfect crust and a tomato sauce like no other. Still a true contender in the Brooklyn Pizza War.

Excellent service and food. Basic booths and tables, consistently fresh food, homemade soups, pizza, Italian dishes and salads. Highly recommended Neighborhood place.

We live a couple of blocks away and decided to come here for a slice of pizza and some soup. We got hooked! Good pizzas and better soups and food.

The service was prompt. Ordered 2 pies and 2 slices to go. Cheese pie is $20 and slices are $3.25 each. They charge a credit card fee-- FYI but was paid cash. The pizza has gotten much thinner so obviously they changed the recipe/proportion of dough. No more big crust which was my favorite. The sauce tasted a little sweeter. The pizza is just okay now.

I feel so spoiled when I come to Brooklyn because the pizza here is so good. I really like the crust and sauce at Frank's. Good pricing, too, for a whole pie ($20). Individual slices are kind of pricey, but by 2024 standards I'd say it's fair. Inflation hurts us all. We usually go to Original's when visiting my in-laws but they were closed. This is just as good and better pricing.

A corner neighborhood pizza joint right on Flatbush Ave. When you walk in, you know it's old school, but then you're confronted by this neo monster stainless steel pizza oven! It's the size of most NYC studio apartments with a turning multi-leveled spindle in the middle spinning your pizza through the 575°F heat (there's a digital temperature readout). It's an induced convection oven / air fryer which gives the crust a crunchy bottom and edges. It has 2 sliding glass doors and it seems the whole room goes up 10° every time they open them to load and unload the beast. We came in an hour before closing on a Thursday night hoping to grab a bite and we had table service, no problem. 2 other parties came in after us also and were still eating when we left. We didn't want to tie them up past closing, so kept our order simple: a large pie with sausage & mushrooms, Caesar salad and 3 fountain sodas. I was really surprised by the Caesar salad because it had fresh homemade dressing with egg that gave it a really toothsome texture. Even the croutons were homemade and it was only $10 to serve 3 people! The pizza here is a classic New York slice. Our whole pie was freshly made, popped into the oven and we watched it spin around like an LP record at 33 1/3 RPM (that's OG, as well as the 80's music). It wasn't long before it came out and cut into 8 slices with 4 quick strokes of the rolling blade. Nothing is better than a fresh pie with oozy mozzarella! The crust wasn't saggy and held up well when eating it NYC style without the cheese sliding off with all the toppings. This area of Brooklyn is a truck for us and we don't come this way very often, but I would really like to come back at a more reasonable dinner hour to try their kitchen dishes like linguini with white clam sauce or maybe even a nice veal parmagiana hero.

Food is absolutely delicious. I had the fried zucchini, which was excellent not greasy cooked to perfection. The Caesar salad was wonderful and the pizza is terrific.

Food was very good. The service was good although we ordered the roasted chicken and it took almost half an hour. The waitress told us it will take 20 minutes. The restaurant was clean with Brooklyn decor.

The last time I was here-September 24-the chicken parmagiana was acceptable and the casear salad was fine-service was great. Well service was great the other night but the food was not. The HUGE and inexpensive fried calamari appetizer was seemingly all crust-the squid was "hid" and the chicken francese was tasteless except for the mushrooms-yes, mushrooms-that were on it. The salad dressing this time was watery. This is a neighborhood place which I'd like to support so I'll give it another try

Phenomenal food and couldn't be more pleased with everything I ordered. Caesar salad with homemade croutons and just the right amount of creaminess in the Caesar dressing made this a winner. I'm always looking for the perfect chicken francese and I truly believe I found it. Chicken was cooked to perfection, beautifully sauced, with mushrooms on top. Topped it off with Italian cheesecake which they make in house. Oh my! The generous slice was perfectly sweet, slightly carmelized cheesecake heaven. No bakery makes it better than Frank's. The gentleman at the front was the epitome of friendliness and professionalism along with the staff. Old school charm, a great vibe and extraordinary food will keep me coming back. Highly recommend!

Great crust! Pizza is one of my favorite traditional neighborhood pie. Not a tomato or bar pie. Just hits all the check marks on what to expect when getting pizza. Best to eat there

Best Caeser Salad I ever had. I requested anchovies and dressing on the side. I love how they tossed bits of anchovies in the salad with the cheese. The dressing was much thicker and creamier than I have ever seen. I do not like a lot of dressing and by having it on the side, I was able to do my own portion control. Since it was so thick and creamy, a little went a long way.

The food is delicious!! the best pizza I've ever tried, the team that works is very kind, I just have to highlight " MECA " she is the best!!!

This restaurant is the best restaurant it's so awesome we all love it but I wish we had contactless delivery and pickup

We went to Frank's Pizza with friends who are regulars there. I shared the Chicken Marsala with a side of sautéed spinach, and it was amazing. My husband doesn't eat chicken, but we will go again and he'll get the Veal Marsala. The sauce makes this dish. The spinach was flavorful & not overcooked. My husband was happy with his Fettuccini Alfredo, which was al dente and very creamy. The cold antipasto was an entree for one of our group, and was huge and fresh. Service was a little less attentive than we would have liked, but not really bad.

This place is one of my go-to's for quick, decent, and fairly inexpensive Italian food. If I could leave a review on just one of their menu items, the penne vodka would get 5 stars. It is absolutely delicious. Their pizza is slightly above average in my opinion, definitely not the best in Brooklyn but far from the worst. They have a great Italian cheesecake for dessert also, and the portion is huge! They have also been very considerate of safety precautions in the current COVID environment. Social distancing is observed, staff wears masks and gloves, masks needed upon entry, etc. The staff is always friendly, and they are very quick in their food preparation. It usually only takes about 15 mins for our pick up order for 4 people is ready. All in all it's a great spot if you are looking to keep things on the cheaper side and get a good bang for buck.

On Mother's Day of 2022. We took my sister in law out for Dinner, she Ordered a chicken, the chicken was hard and Dry she couldn't finish her dish from the first bite.... we have been coming to this Restaurant over 20 years , and Sam the manager, Gave us a hard time taking off the chicken.... I was so surprise. He was so Rude to us . All he had to do is take off the chicken & Replace it with the spaghetti & Meat Balls. We tip very well, we tip the waiter 20 Dollars & we tip the bus boy 25 Dollars... The good people that we are & have been over 20 + Years doesn't Count. .. To be Continued.....................

There's not enough of praise for this long time neighborhood gem. Franks pizza beats out all the other pizzas in Brooklyn. From their crust to their sauce and cheese. Quality ingredients that's the key and old time recipe. Do not miss this gem when in Brooklyn.. their menu is large and everything is delicious and prepared fresh. The waitress service is like you are welcomed home.

So if you read my update 5 months ago you will see we had a issue. Unfortunately this is the only place that makes amazing Chicken Franchise. So we waited a month & tried to order, no issues, they delivered at least another 6-8 times. Not to mention we went in to sit down 2-3 times & nothing was said. So tonight we call to order to have delivered, guess what we get. Oh I told you no more deliverys. But in the last 4 months we got food delivered w/ out a issue, my daughter & her bf go at least 1-2 times a week & hes taken our money. Thats fine, no worries that you lost a customer whos been going to your establishment for over 10 plus yrs because your driver said my daughter cussed at him because he didn't get a tip which was supposed to be put on my credit card w/ the order. Not to mention why is the driver asking for a tip in the first place. Do your waitresses ask for tips as well? No, of course they don't.

Gotta give Franks props! For a small local place the food and the service were excellent. Was visiting Bklyn with 5 friends and no one was disappointed! I would def return for more! Recommend!

This pizza to me has always been the best in the neighborhood in my opinion. Pizza is always fresh and their sauce is amazing. One of my favorite items to order from their menus is a chicken Parm sandwich on fresh garlic bread oh my goodness to die for. Also a cheese pie with fresh garlic. Always been my favorite pizzeria since childhood.

2/19/19 @ 3:20 pm; was in the area driving around looking for a quick bite or a nice slice of good old fashioned pizza ...... Haven't been here since I was a kid but so glad we stopped in..... Frank's pizza his regular slice just brought me & the wife back to when we were kids ... what pizza use to taste like, smell like n look like ..... The crust; thin & crispy with the perfect amount of chew, the sauce is delicious as well as the muzz ... We actually split one slice but it was so good we had to order another one .... We also had a rice ball parmigiana each..... omg, had to ask our waitress if my Nana was in the kitchen & actually got up to peek through their serving window ... no kidding it was that good .... We also spilt a delicious Caesar Salad .................. Our waitress was so polite & gave us awesome service ..... We will definitely put Franks on our weekend hit list maybe Saturday late lunch with the family ...... Highly recommend this place; nice & clean & friendly service ... We will for sure be back with friends & family ...... Thanks, Greg D & family Update; came back @ 7:pm same day after attending a wake to have a slice of what I think was the best homemade Italian Cheese Cake better then my Nana's .... the wife has their home made tiramisu...... which was also delicious, couldn't compare that one to my Nana's because she never made tiramisu or Tina Who ??? Went for lunch, had fried Calamari, garlic bread and pizza, couple of beers and espresso, cheaper than a diner, 3 of us dined and plenty left over for late night snacking!!!

Pizza is usually good. On this day I decided to try a meatball slice and ended up taking them off. The plain slice was very good!

There website and online says they close at 11...this is a lie. I drove there from east Flatbush at 10pm on 11.29 arrived in 10 min and it looked empty besides three people i could make out. Someone was coming out to take the garbage and informed me they were closed by a hand gesture. Very disappointing

Writing this review while sitting here. While the food is good, the portions have gotten smaller. We ordered a shrimp parm hero which only had 3 medium size shrimp, the hero was cut in half and one side had 2 shrimp and the other side had 1 shrimp, tons of cheese on it and tons of bread. We also ordered penne with meat sauce, absolutely no meat. We told the waitress that there was no meat in the sauce she went back to the kitchen and confirmed that it was meat sauce. Never coming back!

Solid option for a classic pie! Sauce perfectly proportioned and balanced (veering on acidic/tangy in all the right ways). Dough thick and chewy where it matters (the crust!).

Go to take out spot! There pies are very saucy and full of ooey gooey cheese. They are great with delivering pies in less than 40 minutes. I've ordered there salads and mozzarella sticks on occasion but they aren't anything special. A simple plain pie is all you need!

It's so hard to rate pizza in Brooklyn. They're so many pizza places , there's always different qualities that attracts you to a particular place. Some pizza , the sauce is what gets me , others ...the flavors , toppings etc ..but at this spot...I have to give them credit for having one of the best crust I've had. Staff is friendly and orders are quick. I will be sure to visit again when I'm around to grab a slice .

Let me tell you, Frank's Pizza was definitely something else. Also a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. I really have no words that can possibly explain how great the items that I got were. Not to mention, the service was excellent and the staff was really courteous. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love this place! I take my kids there every Friday. Perfect pizza and friendly staff. I had the most amazing waitress that did magic tricks for us! Her name was Angela. Awesome entertainment! I highly recommend eating there and requesting her. Made our pizza night incredible!

Chicken parmesan tasted more like breadcrumbs than chicken. It appeared to be a frozen chicken paddy. Veal parmesan was a bread explosion swimming in sauce. Disappointed with the quality

5 stars are not enough! I thought I was eating Italian food my whole life! And I'm almost 50- But apparently, seemed it was the first time I had Chicken Parm. Every bite put me in Italian food heaven. The VODKA sauce made my Mother drool, and changed our Mother/Daughter dinner plans for the rest of our lives. We are coming back and already know what we are looking forward to- and the waitress was just as delicious!

The pizza tastes good if you buy individual slices, but I stopped going after calling to pick up an order and told a time it will be ready, and going later than that time and it still wasn't ready. The order was messed up many times, and sometimes when I would open the pie box, the cheese would be hanging off. They also charge for delivery.

I have been ordering a really nice large pizza from Franks for several years but now that the price went up it looks like the pie is suffering. the last 3 pies I ordered had pot marks where it looked like it was lacking cheese and sauce. Also looked reheated. Wondering if when Frank raised the prices he fired the good cook?

Was in the shop this evening for a few slices of pizza after a night out. The pizza hit the spot. I enjoyed the decor and the look of the restaurant. A few problems though... 1) my pizza was lukewarm. I don't know if it's because I ordered it with mushrooms. 2) they seemed to want us to head out so that they could close up. They even opened the door letting gusts of cold wind in. 3) they began singing la cucaracha which is not very appetizing while you were eating.

Training for my job up the block at Floyd Bennett Field so I figured I'd hit up a random Brooklyn pizza place because how bad can it be right?I'm in Brooklyn! I stumbled upon Frank's and speaking solely on the pizza I found it to be outstanding! Sometimes pizza isn't always as good as it looks, this wasn't the case, ordered 2 regular slices, they folded perfectly, cheese & the sauce went perfectly together, super delicious and tasty & fresh and what real pizza should be in my opinion, I could see myself eating an entire pie, It was that good!Guy at the counter was very friendly and place had plenty of seating and seemed clean, I would definitely come back here for lunch if I'm in the area!

Great pasta, however there wasn't enough salt. The dishes had a homecooked taste to them. Staff was extremely welcoming. I would recommend it to everyone.

Pizza was average. We only ordered from here because our go to pizza place is closed on Sundays. Delivery took less than half an hour, which was great, but they failed to tell us about the delivery fee when we placed our order. There was an okay amount of topping though, so I guess I'll have to give them that. I would mind trying it out again but only for eat-in.

Thanks a lots to yelp for highly recommending Frank's Pizza. It's kind of the place to go in this area. Frank's Pizza has a magnificent Grilled Chicken, give it a try I think you would really love it, I certainly love it. And also, the service was fantastic and the staff was super pleasant. Frank's Pizza - This is a hidden gem.

I grew up as a kid in Marine Park this was my go to place for a slice and a coke. We moved to Florida over 40 years ago and I'm glad to see they are still in business. The old cliche " They must be doing something right!" comes to mind!

Very happy (complete sarcasm) that we called in an order and picked it up driving from Rockaway, only to come home and find that the wrong soup was given and no dressing for the salad. Done with this place.

This is Real authentic Brooklyn NY PIZZA. The best pizza in the country is from New York and Frank's is one of the best.

This is my favorite Brooklyn pizza place. I know lots of people choose Grimaldi's and whatnot, but Frank's was a staple of my childhood. We would go here during family get-togethers when the homecooked dinners were taking 4 hours instead of 2. I still go here every chance I get and it's still as good as ever. It has a very friendly-feel to it and they make you feel right at home.

This is the best chicken Parmesan sandwich I have ever had in my life. They can even do it on garlic bread if you requested. The staff is very friendly and it's that old Brooklyn Italian food that you are craving

Overall, I'm pretty happy with my experience at Frank's Pizza. Love this place. Truly impressed with their menu, lots of great options, Meatballs was absolutely outstanding. And employees were really polite and friendly. Would really like to go back soon!

I've eaten here quite a number of times over the years I've lived in Marine Park and have also ordered pizza delivered to the house. The food is good. Staff is very nice. Recently I went with a gal-pal to eat dinner there. We both had Pasta Delizioza (shrimp in a red sauce with vegetables/ penne pasta). The pasta was ala dente which is how I like it. A bread basket preceded the entree. The serving size is substantial, but not humongous. A good value for the prices charged. I didn't have trouble parking that evening, but parking can be a bit of a hassle at times. I've also had the eggplant parm which I enjoyed. I also like there meatball pizza and their chicken wings, but this I've only ordered delivered to the house.

After having visited Frank's many more times because a friend lived nearby, I may have been a little harsh in my rating (and granted I am TOUGH on pizzerias). While it still isn't a destination slice, Frank's makes consistently good pizza. I'm happy to say I jumped the gun in this case! Subsequent visits have yielded a slice that isn't as limp, especially if you just ask for it well done. The end crust is good, like a piece of fresh bread. The sauce isn't my cup of tea with the oregano and pepper, but tomato flavor still shines through. They overdo it sometimes with the cheese, but it's always fresh and thus never overly oily. Also the staff both behind the counter and the waitresses arr all extremely nice in an old school Brooklyn sort of way. If you're in this area, your options for pizza are Frank's and Original (I don't care for Lenny & John's as much). You can't go wrong with either, but nowadays I think Frank's has held up better.

Frank's is an institution. You're not there for the decor; however, it does feel like you've stepped into a Tarantino film. The pizza is comparable to the best Queens has to offer. The mains are red-sauce standards (I mean that approvingly) and affordable. The servers have been there forever and are friendly and attentive.

Absolute best chicken parmigiana hero I've ever had. Upon request they will make it on garlic bread for you! TO DIE FOR!!! They're very friendly here and it's nice to support a small business of good people like them!

Best pizza in Brooklyn. The grandmas is outstanding but their rotating oven really makes the pizza special.

Oh my god, this place SUCKS. I ordered take out from them and it was horrible. First of all, the order was wrong, the drink I ordered wasn't the drink I got at all. Secondly, the pizza pie was messed up so bad, the box was all bent and misshapen which caused the top of my pie to cling & stay on the top lid. Thirdly, the amount of cheese and sauce was so poor, like legit I get as if I ordered bread that wasn't even cooked fully. And lastly, the delivery guy was all kinds of an issue - didn't ring the bell, banged on the door like an insane person, said that he had no phone because he was robbed and overall was just so rude.... honestly the worst experience with an order thus far and I had no idea that one could even mess up a simple cheese pizza.........
