Overall, this store is a bit of a mixed bag.
Good - One of the best selections of wines in the state of Delaware, particularly in New World wines, higher end Italian and Burgundy, and back vintages.
Okay - Customer service can vary greatly. As of late, the customer service has gotten significantly better, but there have been times where I have been literally ignored by staff there, even when very few people are in the store.
Bad - Pricing. Sad to say, but it seems that the pricing at Frank's pricing overall is a tad higher (about 10%-20%) than other places in certain instances and excessive in other instances (namely with Burgundy and Champagne) with the hope the consumer is not particularly savvy.
One example of such an excessive markup is with a 2000 Jobard Blagny La Pièce Sous le Bois, which is $100 at Frank's and $50 elsewhere. This wine comes from the same distributor, at the same pricing, so the only difference in the price is due to an excessive markup from Frank.
I must state that these instances of excessive markups are rare, but do happen and have largely made me disregard the shop as a local place to buy wine as a result.
