We visited Frank's Wines not knowing what to expect. Ordering liquor and wine for our daughter's wedding was a new experience for us. Our experience was great! The staff was helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. They did what they said they would do. No surprises, no bait and switch. Thank you to Frank and his staff.

Frank’s Wine was excellent to work with on selecting and providing beverages for my son’s wedding. They were extremely knowledgeable of the types of wine and liquor required and the quantities of each. Pricing was very favorable and they also helped to organize delivery of all cases to the wedding venue. Truly a One Stop Shopping experience and we could not recommend more highly.

We are using Frank's Wine for our wedding and have had an awesome experience. Everyone we encountered at the store was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. After our initial meeting, they were promptly responsive to our follow-up questions, as well as organized and professional. When we expressed that we were afraid that we didn't have enough of something, they reassured us that we did, and did not unnecessarily upsell us. Can't recommend them enough!

We used Frank's Wines for my daughter's wedding in May and would highly recommend them for your event! Frank was very prompt and communicative with us about our choices and helping us decide on what to have for the event. We decided on a Wine & Beer event rather than a full bar. I contacted Frank's about 5 weeks prior to the wedding, thinking it might be late in the game, but Frank assured me that our timing was perfect. We chose from Frank's Xselections of wines and they were great! We even threw in a last minute change for one of the red wines and Frank handled it flawlessly. We coordinated with Frank and our courier service for delivery to the event out in Lancaster (Lauxmont Farms Weddings) on Sunday, May 25th and our order was ready for pickup that morning with no issues. Frank an his staff are always so friendly and helpful with finding wine. I’m not a huge wine drinker but they helped me pick out a well balanced bottle of red wine to gift to my husband boss. They also are dog friendly and usually have biscuits for furry friends. They also have a vast variety of craft beers. You can find pretty much anything to suit your tastes. I love their fruity beers.

Frank and his staff were a pleasure to work with when I needed to get the liquor for my daughter's wedding. Communication was clear, quick, and friendly. The whole process took about a week and was easy. The store had a great selection and the being able to come in for a tasting was extremely helpful. The staff member who assisted me listened attentively and made great recommendations based on my needs. A word of advice: listen to Frank's recommendations on the quantity to order! You'll want to adjust things based on your knowledge of the guests, but you won't need to change the quantities by much. We had fewer leftover bottles than I expected, so there wasn't a need to return anything--the newlyweds will have a good start to their home bar with the extra liquor.

Only one place to go for all of your festivity needs. Kristin was amazing with her knowledge of wines as well as the right selection of beer and alcohol. Felt like a family gathering in the store between Kristin, Frank the owner and the other employees. If you are considering fine wines and spirits for a wedding reception, holiday party or anything else, make Frank's Wine in Wilmington your first and only stop.

Frank's was awesome and probably the most stress free vendor I interacted with for my wedding. They were super responsive to email outreach, invited us down to the store for a wine tasting, and offered 50% off select wines for our wedding as well as 15% off everything in the store. They had an instore-expert curate a list of quantities based on our guest headcount and events which was a bit of an unconventional type of wedding but they were basically spot on with the numbers. Pickup was a breeze, everyone was super helpful in loading our truck. Also, they allowed us to transfer a giftcard from one of our friends to use toward our purchase. Great job Frank's, we'll be back to buy wine in the future!

Frank's is my favorite. Not the biggest store, but very friendly staff and I enjoy shopping there. I don't buy much wine, but when I do I always start here.

This place is a must come and visit if you're ever in town or live here. Probably the best liquor store I have ever been to in my entire life. Everyone here is extremely knowledgeable and can direct you on just about any liquor you're interested in. They also have samplings of different types of alcohol periodically which is a great way to find out what you like or don't like. Frank along with all his employees are super friendly.

if you want to take the guess work out of how much to order for a wedding reception, talk to Frank's wine. They have an easy inquiry and order process. Quick to respond to any and all questions. My law firm planned a National Hispanic Wine Tasting and we hired Frank's Wines to host. They did such an amazing job. Nicole hosted the actual event and we loved her. Our team absolutely loved the selections of the wine, the hospitality Nicole provided, and her knowledge of each wine. This was one of the largest attended events we have had in months and many people applauded how great the event was executed. We will most definitely keeping Frank's Wines and Nicole in mind next time we decide to throw another celebration of such.

Frank's prices are a higher than literally everywhere I've been locally and their service has never been good. With no exaggeration, I've been in here 3-5 times and only once have I've been approached by someone. Most frequently when I'm in a liquor store I need help, so at least acknowledging a customers presence would be nice. My last visit, the employees were doing a tasting when I walked in. I walked around looking for a specific bourbon for about 5 minutes, couldn't find it, and left. Not one person acknowledged me. One woman left the tasting to grab something at the register but hurried right back. I will say that I've never been in when the owner was in and most other reviews speak very highly of him, so maybe it's when the boss is away scenarios.

Amazing experience. We came to Frank's for our wedding consultation and alcohol selections. Greg helped us through wine tastings and talked through every selection with so much knowledge/advice. It was immediately clear that he was so passionate about his job and focused on making the experience as fun as possible for us. I thought it was going to be a stressful day but it turned out to be the exact opposite. If you get the opportunity to select a vendor for your wedding, I'd absolutely recommended Frank's and request Greg!!!

The have a good selection and okay prices, but their service is lackluster. If you want advice or recommendations, forget it. I stopped in recently, and not once was I approached to ask if I needed help. As I write this, I realize that every time I've shopped there, I've never been talked to until checkout. If you want excellent service, go to Moore Brothers.

What a Wonderful Stress-Free Experience at FrankWine. We came to Frank's for a Wedding Consultation and the Alcohol Selection. Frank had a beautiful set-up for tasting and focused on making the experience fun, and easy . I thought the process would be more stressful but it was far from that. He helped us through wine tasting and advised on wine and beer selection, since our experience is minimal. Frank was very accommodating when I changed my mind on our selections of wine and beer with short notice. He responded to emails quickly . Prices were reasonable and recommended courier was reasonably priced and easy to communicate with. If you get the opportunity to select a vendor for your wedding, choose FranksWine.

Recently used Frank's Wine for a wedding. He was very helpful and responsive however I would not use him again. One what they suggest is very low and we would have ran out of alcohol at the wedding. However, you are stuck with ordering more and then will not get properly refunding. During the refund process he changed the terms of the original contract and therefore we were stuck with a gift card of over $1000 dollars instead of a refund on the original amount. If using his service, I would highly recommend to get in writing what type of refund you will received and to be EXTREMELY detailed. The original contracted noted significant changes in quantities ordered however when we returned the leftover alcohol he changed it to "net" total returns which was drastically different language then what was in the original contract (there was no mention of "net" totals). Additionally, refund took over 30 days to receive and did not her back from him when asking to clarify contract language. USE WITH CAUTION! Very unprofessional business tactics.

Wow, what a wonderful experience! We came here to purchase alcohol (full bar) for our wedding. Frank was friendly, eager to help, and extremely knowledgeable-he's the go to expert! We used his experience to guide us in ordering the perfect amount of alcohol for our wedding. I would absolutely recommend all brides/party hosts to head to Franks Wine to stock up! We can't thank Frank enough for being so great & helpful!

Greg and Gordon were great! Super knowledgeable and helpful and made made picking my wine for book club easy. I was greeted right as I walked in and will absolutely be back!

What a complete and total price gouging establishment. Growler of Victory IPA $19.99 ! Even Iron Hill's specialty growlers are only $17. Shop elsewhere, save your money. Try Tollgate Liquors, wayyy better pricing.

I would suggest downloading the app vivino (its free). and price checking the wines. If you are a Longwood Gardens Member you get 20% off ALL WINES ALL THE TIME. The only bummer is that the beer does not have prices so expect to pay a few dollars per six pack on average more than other nearby neighborhood stores. The refrigerated beer selection is, however, respectable.

Don't shop here unless you want to pay extremely higher prices. I should've done my homework but it was an impulse buy thinking that Delaware is cheaper and it is not. I compared prices and they are not just higher but higher by a large percentage. Buyer beware!

Frank's Wine is my favorite store to purchase wine. There is such a variety and many wines that are not available nearby. I am always greeted when I enter and the staff has been helpful in pointing me in the right direction. They always make suggestions that are spot on. I also like the fact that I can pick up great cheese there when I am having friends over to share some great wine. I always recommend Frank's to my friends.

Over inflated prices designed for maximum profit at the expense of the customer. Located next to an Audi dealership... hence the Audi prices on your favorite spirits. Nice, clean place. Selection is better than most. But i'll take my business else where. i know that i can get what i need for a lot cheaper down the road at Avenue Wines & Spirits or other businesses in the area.

Frank's has an incredible selection of beer as well as wine. We love to stop in before a night with friends because we can cover everybody's tastes. The staff are extremely friendly, and I've been offered multiple samples of expensive wine on various occasions. It's really my favorite place to buy booze locally.

**Be aware and trust your own judgments ** We used Frank's for a wedding reception this year with mixed results. Working with the employees there was very enjoyable as they were knowledgeable about wines and pairings and that all worked very well. What DID NOT WORK WELL was working with the owner on the quantities to order. When we initially saw the number of cases of beer he suggested for our reception and after-party, we were shocked at how low the number was. I explained to the owner that my #1 concern was that we do not run out of anything (as we could return unused/undamaged items). When we "upped" the number of cases of beer and questioned the liquor numbers, I was told "don't worry, we do 3-4 weddings a week and I have never run out of anything". I should have trusted my own judgment as WE DID RUN OUT of vodka and bourbon long before the reception was over and even before an after party started. This required me to have to leave my daughter's reception to go restock. Thankfully the liquor store was on the next block in Philly but I still had to miss some of my daughter's wedding reception. If we did not up the cases of beer, we would have run out of that too. After the event, when I complained about running out, I was told "that is nice to know". Really? "That is nice to know"? We got our refund after 30 days, used up the gift card remainder as we did not use his suggested numbers (if you go above his suggestion, he will only refund on a gift card to his store) and I will not use him again. Be aware.

Overall, this store is a bit of a mixed bag. Good - One of the best selections of wines in the state of Delaware, particularly in New World wines, higher end Italian and Burgundy, and back vintages. Okay - Customer service can vary greatly. As of late, the customer service has gotten significantly better, but there have been times where I have been literally ignored by staff there, even when very few people are in the store. Bad - Pricing. Sad to say, but it seems that the pricing at Frank's pricing overall is a tad higher (about 10%-20%) than other places in certain instances and excessive in other instances (namely with Burgundy and Champagne) with the hope the consumer is not particularly savvy. One example of such an excessive markup is with a 2000 Jobard Blagny La Pièce Sous le Bois, which is $100 at Frank's and $50 elsewhere. This wine comes from the same distributor, at the same pricing, so the only difference in the price is due to an excessive markup from Frank. I must state that these instances of excessive markups are rare, but do happen and have largely made me disregard the shop as a local place to buy wine as a result.

Experienced an in home wine tasting for 12 this past weekend, and it was perfect. Siobhan, the coordinator, and Frank, paired 6 wines to go with dishes each of 6 couples brought in, and the matches were amazing. Truly an exceptional event. I would highly recommend consideration to this team, for a fun evening.

Just what I was looking for! A knowledgeable, and friendly purveyor of great wines and totally outside the heinous and evil PA Liquor Control Board.

Frank's has great variety, a great family vibe and more fun than you can shake a stick at. Really when did you think going to the liquor store could be fun. Between wine tastings, beer tastings, drink classes and explicit marketing emails, Frank makes this and experience. In all seriousness this is a good local business with folks who know their craft and make it their business to make sure you get what you are looking for or direction to figure it out. We have a great time every time we go as this is a get to know you place rather than the bargain place. This is the type of place you look for here on Yelp. Thanks Frank for everything.

I went to Franks today afternoon and loved the place, they have s great selection of wine and beer. I'm more of a IPA/beer kinda guy and I loved the fact that they have 3 different beers on tap and you can bring your own growlers. most of the Beers on tap are reasonably priced around $10 to $20. Will be stopping by very soon with my growler.

I don't know the first thing about wine. I can't tell you, other than color, how a white differs from a red. When I decided to start learning about wine, I went to Franks. They were happy to answer any questions I had and were ready to recommend bottles. They have a mystery bottle sections, which is a bottle wrapped in a black grocery bag as to block out the label. This is perfect for me, because I have no idea what I'm drinking anyway. I'll drink it blind and try to guess, which is a whole lot of fun. I've never guessed correctly, but I'm going to keep trying thanks to Franks.

If you like to be accosted and harassed via text from the owner, Frank, at 5:30 in the morning the week of your wedding, then buy from FranksWine using his "proprietary" list. If that isn't your cup of tea, or bad suggestion of wine and beer given to me from said list, go elsewhere. I contacted this company per the request of my father-in-law the week before my wedding (which I understand is last minute) to get a proposal for ordering bulk quantities of booze. I filled out the order form and Frank promptly responded. Since I am the groom and wasn't paying for the alcohol, I forwarded the emails to my father-in-law because he was handling the payment. For whatever reason, my father-in-law didn't contact Frank back to move forward with the order. I then got a text message at 9:00 pm on the Wednesday before our wedding asking for a prompt payment when nothing was agreed upon for zero services rendered. I responded saying my father-in-law was handling it and told him I would contact him (Frank) in the morning. Then, at 5:34 am the following day I received a scathing text from Frank saying we took advantage of his time and his "proprietary" list of ingredients. I didn't know why my father-in-law didn't contact him back after he had all the information, but I am very glad he didn't after that inappropriate behavior on account of this establishments ownership. Requests and proposals are exactly that, requests and proposals. My wife is a catering director and will no longer recommend this company to anyone in the area.

Just stopped in tonight for the first time. It was ten minutes before closing and I was rudely told they'd be closing shortly and I should make my selection and get out. Will NEVER go in there again.

We used Franks Wine for our rehearsal dinner and wedding. He worked with our budget and provided a few different varieties of liquors to choose from. He was always very quick to respond to emails. I will definitely be using Franks Wine again.

I stopped in here because I'd heard they had a great selection. There was indeed a wide variety of wines, including organic and sulfite-free, as well as beer and liquor.Price was a major drawback, though. There was very little available for less than $15, most bottles ranged from $20-$30, outside my "poor grad student budget". Also, the staff were not particularly friendly or helpful, mostly chatting with customers who were hanging around the register. I left empty-handed. I might return if I wanted to splurge on a specialty item.

My wedding is this week and initially Frank was very helpful as I was shopping around for the best deal since I have to stock my reception. I ended up going with a different store which wasn't a knock against Frank's Wine at all, I just found a better price for myself. That is when Frank accused me of using his pricing to leverage a better deal elsewhere. He then emailed me stating that I was starting off my marriage with bad karma. Who says that to someone? I didn't mean any offense by shopping around and I certainly never even brought up anything involving Frank's Wines when speaking with Total Wine who I purchased from. You have to be some kind of jerk to get salty just because I found a better deal. I'd highly recommend going elsewhere before you get bad karma.

Frank was very helpful in determining the amount of wine and liquor I needed for my wedding. The only problem I had was at pick up, I was missing 18 bottles of the toasting champagne. One of the two employees that was helping me was irritated that I wanted to check the order- thank goodness I did!! The other employee called Frank who substituted in a nicer bottle at no increase in cost! Frank was always helpful and responsive.

Frank was super-responsive and very helpful in determining what we alcohol we needed for our wedding. Of all the vendors we had to deal with, Frank was by far the easiest and most accomodating. I would highly recommend using Frank's.

We worked with FranksWine for our wedding beverages. Frank was so patient answering my questions and the whole process was so easy. We had fun going to the store and tasting and picking things out. They have a great selection. We had everything we needed the day of the wedding and what we didn't need we were able to return. I would definitely recommend working with them to plan your big day.

DO NOT ORDER YOUR WEDDING ALCOHOL FROM FRANK'S. We feel that Frank's ripped us off and has been unprofessional in resolving the problem. We made a $2100 alcohol order for our wedding. The morning after the wedding, we picked up the unopened bottles at the reception site and found 10 bottles of white zinfandel. We were surprised, because we hadn't ordered white zin. We were also also surprised to find almost no white wine bottles left over. One other suspicious fact is that the white zin is from Oak Winery, the same winery that produced the Chard we ordered. We suspect that Frank's mistakenly replaced the 15 bottles of Oak Winery Chardonnay we'd ordered with Oak Winery white zin. We're really pissed off, because we hate white zin, most of our guests hate white zin, and because we likely ran out of Chardonnay because of the mix-up. We realize mistakes happen, and we just ask Frank's to make up for it. Specifically, we asked Frank's to allow us to return all our unopened bottles of alcohol and refund our white wine order. Although the wedding was more than 3 weeks ago, Frank's has not yet resolved this problem, even though we have emailed and left voice mails. Frank's has stopped replying to our emails and voice mails, which we find very unprofessional.
