At 8:30 on a Sunday morning it was quiet with only a handful of customers. By 9 there was a line out the door and it was quite loud. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The cappuccino and chai came out quickly and were great. The food items came out one at a time, but it was fine because we were sharing everything. The quiche Lorraine, croque madame, and walnut frangipan croissant were all delicious. There is indoor seating around a wine bar, as well as tables. There’s also patio seating. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. I look forward to checking Franquette out for lunch and happy hour.

Google
Franquette was superior food wise, the quiche crust was full of gorgeous pastry fat layers and the egg was cooked to perfection with fantastic flavor. Inside the location there wasn’t a lot of space to sit, but it is beautifully designed and the experience was wonderful to have an intimate date in a sunny open window. None of the workers looked very happy to be there, and did the bare minimum to interact with any of the customers, so I wasn’t impressed by that. Just no warmth in customer service, but if you’re looking for a great cup of coffee or tea and a really incredible breakfast it’s worth a stop.

Perfect traditional, small macchiato. Cute design. Had the broccolini for lunch with crispy nut topping--different, high quality and delicious. Cold iced tea. Friendly and helpful staff. Strong wifi and comfy bar for laptop workers like myself. Clean bathrooms! Cool music too. Next time will try either the quiche or a croissant and maybe a glass of wine in the afternoon. Great sunlight in here.

Cute little spot by the river! Went on a Sunday morning and it was pretty crowded, but was able to get a seat quickly. I had the cappuccino with oat milk and a spinach, ham, and cheese pastry. Both were delicious, I’ll definitely be back to try their evening menu!

Google
Great little breakfast spot. Warning... get there early some dishes may be sold out. The French Toast is amazing But if they sell out of brioche you won't be getting any. The espresso drinks are great. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Then can walk the river walk.

Google
Not a lot of options for groups bigger than 2 or maybe 3 and there just generally isn’t a ton of seating. Went for brunch, my 3rd time. I like sitting at the bar and their French toast and quiche were divine! I didn’t like the sparkling option, was way too floral. I understand they don’t likely wanna make mimosas but the option for a glass of orange juice would be a welcome addition to their brunch offerings. Definitely worth a try!

Nice cozy place with limited space inside though. We had late dinner. Had very delicious soup, salad and potatoes. Coffee bar closes at 4pm. Not much parking space also.

Awesome wine and good French food, casual but nice, also fresh croissants!! Great service. Highly recommended, right next to Sutter Health Park!

Yelp
I have frequented here for years and it's still my go-to on relaxing weekend mornings. Their Potato Quiche is the absolute best. The staff have always been friendly and willing to explain items that I'm unfamiliar with. The seasonal coffee flavors are delicious. Today, I tried the Butterscotch Latte as an iced drink. They had a lavender-infused one before that was also a favorite of mine. We tried a different quiche today with bacon and caramelized onions and their seasonal galette. The patio is dog-friendly. Space inside is limited, but it adds to the cute, French cafe charm. Parking is super easy. The parking lot nearby is less than a block away and FREE for the first two hours. You can choose to park on the street and pay a meter, but it doesn't make sense to when there is a huge, nearly empty parking lot within a very short walk.

Yelp
Came in early on a Sunday morning to beat the rush, and ordered a quiche, croque madame, and walnut croissant. The quiche and croque were ok but nothing to write home about - both were really rich and could have done well with just a simple vinaigrette side salad to cut the fat. The walnut croissant was a miss for me - the filling was too sweet and salty for my taste, and the texture was gooey. We took it home only for me to toss it after a bite (and that's saying a lot because I love pastries). I wanted to love this place so much because on paper it sounds perfect - but the misses on the food combined with the very limited seating, means I likely will not be coming back.

Yelp
We made reservations for their Valentine's Day dinner. We were the first seating of the evening and knew they'd be busy. They advertised the time slot as being very limited on time to accommodate the subsequent reservations. However, the service was very slow and everything took too long between the food, beverages, and check-ins. The soup dish and entrees took particularly long and caused several hiccups for other tables too. We think they had to make a new batch of soup or something. Timeline: Seating 5:45 1st dish 5:58 (oysters and asparagus) 2nd dish 6:02 (bread) 3rd dish 6:11 (salad) 4th dish 6:47 (soup) 5th dish 7:20 (fish and artichoke hearts with baby potatoes and carrots) Dessert 7:58 (lava cake) Check 8:10 The bread, salad, and soap were good. Everything else was just okay or inedible. The artichoke hearts tasted only of potatoes. The carrots were not cooked at all. The lava cake wasn't warm at all and very sad. The DJ was a nice touch for the environment. No one asked us about our food or anything. This dinner was too expensive for what it was or wasn't at 200 for two.

Yelp
Got mansplained about what croque was when I waked in, looked at the menu and asked if they had it bc I'd seen it on this platform and their website but I didn't see it on the menu. First, she didn't greet us, second, I had a dog with us and asked if I could come in and order with the tiny creature and she said yes and then no, so there was a weird dance where I wasn't sure but we are blocking the entrance (which is also not clearly marked and is the less intuitive of two doors). I asked her about the dog to indicate respect of the business and health code laws, despite all info saying it had a dog friendly patio, and my dog's being a signal alert dog who can literally go where I go to perform a specific task for me. We like to go to places that WANT dogs, not merely tolerate them-or accommodate them- because it's the law. We left.

Yelp
Such a vibey place. Coffee bar by day and wine bar by night~ in the morning the sunlight cast on to the bar table so beautiful. At the time of this review there are lots of pumpkins in the restaurant as decor. So cute. I love their breakfast and brunch. Brioche and jam is simple yet they do it so well! The salmon tartine is delicious. Baked ratatouille with sourdough is amazing! The pain perdue on the weekends is such a decadent treat! They also have great coffee. All the classics and a few seasonal coffee creations. Service is friendly and helpful. They handle a lot of orders during rush times so sometimes orders are mixed up. But that is understandable. Food always comes out delicious tho! I come here a lot for breakfast but I definitely wanna try their happy hour one day~

Yelp
I love the vibe of the cafe, small, quaint and warm. My mocha was fantastic, not overly sweet. I appreciate places that still use silverware and not just plastic cups to serve coffee and drinks. Makes the experience so much better. My ratatouille was okay, but that was my fault for ordering something that had vegetables I didn't like. Could have been a 5/5 if the staff were a bit more friendly and helpful

Michelle R.

Yelp
First time here and it did not disappoint. We ordered several dishes and everything was very good. The bread was served warm with soft and slightly salted butter. Delicious. My quiche was very tasty, especially the sauce on top. The restaurant is nice but very small and parking in this area is difficult. The service was great, everything came out in a timely manner. Our server was especially friendly and did a great talking up their other establishments. Only one I haven't been to but it's in my list. Overall, enjoyed the experience and will definitely go back.

Tresla G.

Yelp
Food was great! Definitely fresh bread The service was quite refreshing. All smiles and lots of cheer. The Ambiance and vibe was super chill and really a diverse crowd. Nice

Yelp
We were doing our morning walk around the area and saw this little cute cafe and decided to give it a try after we finished our walk. It has a chic interior, they have few seating inside and outside. They were packed but still had seats available. Ordered their *Quiche and it was pretty amazing, flavorful, it's buttery, flaky the filling has a creamy texture custard-like it has perfect proportion. *Cold brew was okay their syrup was good and you can add your own sweetness. They also have a good selection wine and beer. Would definitely be back and try their brunch and happy hour!

Paige G.

Yelp
This place will always be one of my favorites! I've had the oysters, baked ratatouille, both quiches (the veggie one is my favorite) Wine selection is always great. Definitely recommend the cab franc rose They are also VERY pet friendly

Kristi M.

Yelp
Quiet when I arrived at about 8:45, it became insanely busy for about 45 minutes thereafter. A huge line, and the coffee drinks must be wonderful given that I didn't notice anyone getting fed up and leaving. My food, while a smaller portion than I was expecting, was delicious. I had a tasty Bellini as well. Total was a bit pricey at $27. It is order at the counter so if you anticipate wanting a second Bellini order it with the first! The music was audible but not too loud. Service was friendly!

Lorraine M.

Yelp
We had 3 glasses of the Hh glass of wine $10 which we requested white wine. It was a delicious, fresh, light Bordeaux! The cheese plate with bread and cultured butter which was surprisingly good to the last bite. Super chill and nice ambience. Our server was so kind to offer water before we left. Friendly service. We highly recommend!

Jasmine C.

Yelp
I attended book club at Franquette on a Tuesday night. The atmosphere was quiet and dimly lit, and the seating arrangements were somewhat limited, especially for larger groups, with several awkwardly placed tables. Each of us ordered something different. I chose a side salad and the au jambon sandwich. The bread for the sandwich was warm and absolutely delicious, but I felt it could have used a little something extra--maybe a touch of jam--to elevate the flavors. Despite that, we had a great time and enjoyed ourselves.

Desirée K. H.

Yelp
Such a quaint place! Great area to bike/walk/bring your dog. The menu is simple. A balanced assortment of small plates to choose from. Great ambiance for reading and conversation. Located right across from Drake's Barn near Sutter Health Park. Street parking only.

Steph S.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for a good soup!!! The creamy potato leek soup here is past amazing!!! Fantastic, tasty salad as well! Completely unexpected and blown away! Cozy place and friendly staff!

Marsh W.

Yelp
This chef is going to do well. Of the things I've tried from the menu, everything was exquisite! The chef really knows what he's doing here. I like going with a group and ordering a bunch of stuff so we can all taste everything. The outdoor seating is nice, sadly (or happily), the place is so popular that it's also often filled to capacity. I wish they had draft beer. Luckily they usually have something decent in a can or bottle. Try this place. You'll like it!

Niño B.

Yelp
I've stopped by this little cafe a couple times now to work remotely, and it's a wonderful spot to get some work done. They have seats inside and out, as well as wifi available. I've brought in my wife to work remotely as well, and she likes the space and especially, the food! The inside feels clean and modern with a hint of Parisian style plastered throughout. It's a small space, and with a small space comes small tables, but we managed to fit two mid-size laptops onto them. The barista noticed that there wasn't enough space for our order to go on, so she brought out a stool that accommodated our food and drinks. The service is wonderful, they're very attentive, and they'll take care of your needs. We shared an order of walnut croissants, quiche veggie, chai latte and matcha. They were all SO GOOD! The croissant is flaky and the walnut spread was an unexpected delight, and the quiche veggie hit the nail when it comes to the savory breakfast taste that I craved. The portion of the food was big enough to get our day started; not too filling but I felt satisfied. This is an excellent space to work and/or study in as it's located far from the busier streets. The service is solid with a friendly staff, and you can't go wrong with any of their offerings!

Michelle C.

Yelp
Wow to the French toast! So soft and flavorful :) the salmon tartine on sourdough was fresh and perfect acidity--would def get again. It comes with celery and radish sliced thinly for a crunch and texture too. The salmon was interesting like smoked texture and red! Service took a little long for the food...but the vibes were beautiful, great setup

Dale B.

Yelp
Had the dirty matcha but it had no flavor but bitterness of the matcha and didn't know there was no sugar or vanilla added to make it taste better. Also still had chunks of matcha so it wasn't brushed all the way or blended. So i added some simple syrup but still not as good. For $16 small cup of ratatouille was not worth it. Overpriced in my opinion and charged another $2 for the sourdough toast! Salmon toast was ok. Salmon on the salty side and a littly fishy. But the coconut latte was good!

Farrah R.

Yelp
Two hour free parking. I chose a Chocolate Croissant from the breakfast menu which were still available, a Spinach and Potato Quiche since it was lunchtime, and a Chai Latte with oat milk. Found parking relatively quickly on a Tuesday afternoon, walked inside to the smell of roasted red bell peppers, found a menu, and looked it over while some others ordered. The croissant was warmed up, crispy, almost crunchy, American style--I was hoping for a less baguette-crunchy croissant with a touch of chocolate not oozing but it'll do in a pinch. The chai was a little spicy on the medicinal side but still good. The service was good; it was my first time here, so I had questions, and the cashier understood as if she was expecting me--her answers were complete and informative; "Is the quiche already prepared?" "Yes, we'll warm it up. It'll be about five minutes." "I see [proofed] croissants there..." "Those are on the breakfast menu, but we still have some." "I'll take one." The cafe is a nice, clean place with limited indoor seating, some outdoor seating, windows all around for a beautiful open feel and view. Oh, I didn't forget the quiche! The crust was delish! The filling was light and tasty! Everything had good portion sizes also!

Yelp
Such a gem... I'm a "regular". Such a great little neighborhood spot. The food is simple with a relatively limited menu yet amazing. The coffee and pastries are great too. Not cheap but good price for the quality. Just wish they bring back the beef tartare soon. Better for takeout or dates as the sitting is very limited. highly highly recommend. Service isn't very fast but very friendly.

Amber B.

Yelp
Super cute spot to stop for brunch/coffee. The ambiance here is really nice if your aesthetic is modern cozy, you'll be pleased! I had the Potato Quiche (delicious) and my friend had the ratatouille (which honestly looked so good, I wish I ordered it). The staff was super friendly and knew the menu well very well. I had the vanilla latte and can say even though this isn't a specialty coffee spot, it was actually pretty decent! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a one on one catch up. Don't recommend for large crowds or a date.

Diana G.

Yelp
I'm sad to write this review because I usually love Franquette, but the other day a friend and I got 6 or 7 pastries and they were all extremely DRY and HARD. Maybe they accidentally gave us old pastries? I don't know, but they ended up in the compost bin. To make matters worse, when I got in touch with Franquette about it, I was told "sorry" and nothing else. No explanation, no desire to make it right. These are EXPENSIVE pastries, so try them at your own risk. Some times they are delicious, some times they are a bit dry and too flakey, other times you can use them as a projectiles against your enemies. (The waitress said it was my fault because the croissants were warmed up but we took them to go, however I have done that pretty much every time I've been there and never had this issue before)

Evangelene G.

Yelp
Good latte - unfortunately I didn't have any food on the menu. Cute little cafe/coffee shop in a residential neighborhood in West Sacramento in close proximity to the ball park. The decor and vibe are worth a. Shout out!

Lauren F.

Yelp
The food and adorable French-inspired Cafe interior of Franquette is a match made in heaven, the only downside is it's size and popularity. This was my fourth visit, the food and drinks are always exceptional. The owners are the same team behind Cannon in East Sac. Parking is super easy for brunch. Located next to Drake's The Barn in West Sac, in the retail level of a new build apartment complex. The staff works really hard to deal with the crowds coming in to dine and ordering to-go. If it's a nice day, you can sang a spot on the patio but on my last two visits it was too cold. This makes the indoor seating overwhelmed. The space is small. A note to diners - don't be an absolute jerk and take a seat prior to ordering. We saw two sets of people do this. There should be a policy since the restaurant operates with counter ordering. Got the following Items: -Gingerbread Cold Brew - had this twice in two weeks. A seasonal beverage. -Apricot Bellini - this was better the first time, a week prior. The apricot just didn't come through. -Brioche & Jam - yum. The apple jam was good but almost apple-sauce like. -Quiche Lorraine - delicious as always. Wish it came with the green sauce like the veggie quiche but they gave me some on the side. -Croque Madame - this is HUGE. Definitely a great dish to share. -Baked Ratatouille - this was really yummy, rich tomato sauce with creme fraiche, veggies and a poached egg. Last year I was able to snag a Valentine's Day reservation, there was a special prix fixe menu and it was absolutely incredible. I wish I had done their NYE event, feel like I missed out. Join their email list to be in the know about future updates and events.

Emily D.

Yelp
It's is a small cafe with limited seating inside. Plenty outside but it was too cold at the time. Luckily was able to get a table for four in the corner. I ordered the quiche and was pleased with the flavor and serving portion. My friends ordered salads, the ratatouille and open faced sandwiches. They said they enjoyed their food. I would go back when it's warmer and sit outside.

Yelp
A shout out to Leslie H. for her review of Franquette, without which I would not have known this restaurant existed. I had an appointment in West Sacramento, after which I planned to meet hubby for breakfast/lunch. Remembering Leslie's review, I suggested Franquette. I arrived a little after 11:00 am. There was metered street parking, which I quickly paid for using the ParkMobile app. As I entered the small, corner restaurant, I saw that my husband was already seated with menu in hand. Since they don't start lunch until noon, we ordered from the breakfast menu. It was a simple menu, with about 10 breakfast items. There were several items that I would like to have tried, but I settled in for the quiche ($10 - leek, potato, caramelized onion, green onion and Montboisse cheese). I don't usually order coffee when I go out, but I decided to order a latte ($5). Oat, almond or whole milk were the 3 milk options available; I chose whole milk. The restaurant is bright and cheerful, with tables next to windows that offer a view of the riverfront. The view extends across the river, so I could see the joggers on the Sacramento side. Nice. Our breakfast was prepared quickly. The latte was lovely, creamy and delicious. The quiche was tender, tasty, and interestingly, the crust was a bit sweet. Very enjoyable.

Alyssa N.

Yelp
5 Stars -- I don't often leave reviews but had to pop on to say that Franquette has become a new go-to. Their food is INCREDIBLE (the French toast is wildly delicious) and the atmosphere is perfect. The staff are also so kind and attentive!

Sibel A.

Yelp
This is my go-to place in West Sacramento. I visit Franquette practically every month. I have tried almost everything on the brunch menu quite happily! I will give a disclaimer that Franquette is sometimes inconsistent. This was our brunch spread today - Salmon Tartine, Croque Madame, Cookie Butter French Toast, Raspberry Mocha Latte, and French Toast Latte. The Croque Madame is normally my go-to item but today - it was slightly underwhelming. The cheese was not melted (aka cold in the middle). The Salmon Tartine was absolutely delicious because the savoriness of the salmon pairs beautifully with the pickled celery on top. We also split the Cookie Butter French Toast, which was new item on the menu. I am super happy that we did! The brioche bread of the French toast was thickly sliced so that the french toast did not get soggy and the Cookie Butter was not overwhelming because it was on the side. If you are visiting, seating is slightly limited especially if it raining. I will say that Franquette turns into the cutest little wine bar at night!

Jas S.

Yelp
The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the drinks. I would definitely be visiting again, we had our book club here and it was the perfect quiet ambiance to hold our discussions.

Leslie H.

Yelp
I'm normally not a big breakfast person but since I'm working nights this week, I decided to take advantage of being up early to try a new local breakfast spot. This morning I stumbled across Franquette, a West Sac cafe/bakery/wine bar that caught my interest as it's by the same creators behind the Michelin-recognized Canon. - Salmon Tartine (3.5/5): what initially drew me in, such a visually irresistible dish with the delectable-looking beet-cured lox atop a generous spread of whipped farmer's cheese on sourdough with pickled veggies & herbs-- enjoyed the flavor profile but felt that the lox was a little chewy and the coarse texture of the bread left more to be desired - Walnut Croissant (4/5): flaky and just the right amount of buttery sweet with a light but sufficiently creamy inside filling. wish there was more than just one walnut but i understand the stylistic choice - Baked Ratatouille (4.5/5): the real standout for me! i'm a big proponent of warm hearty meals first thing in the morning and this traditional tomato stew really hit the spot on a chilly 50 degree day. the veggies were fresh and thinly sliced to perfection, with an ideal fun-sized portion just enough to satiate me without being too heavy. despite not having spent my childhood in France, this dish evokes the nostalgic warmth that i imagine Anton Ego experienced with his first bite of Remy's concoction : ) ps: highly recommend a side of sourdough for dipping! Overall a unique selection of authentically made French dishes that make me think back fondly on my time abroad, especially with classics like the croque madame, raclette and sandwich au jambon. They also have a lunch/dinner menu (see their website for specific time windows, which differ each day) that includes dishes like beef tartare and salmon rillettes... plus an ever-rotating selection of specially crafted teas and lattes for the season and happy hour bites from 4-6 pm!

Will P.

Yelp
Me and a coworker met here for breakfast and this place truly reminds me of a cliff side European chalet. Although I was doubtful we would get one, a bench was open for the two of us to sit side by side. There isn't a lot of seating but the ambiance is great. My ratatouille was well-done but nothing to write home about. The egged was perfectly cooked now that I think about it. I want to try their espresso next time.

Vanessa V.

Yelp
Ok (West) Sacramento -- I am loving this French spot!! My husband found it randomly and it's definitely a hidden gem. It's not hard to find, but it's not very central to anything and it's located below some apartment complex. Anyway, the food was excellent!! I would order all three items that we shared again: Salmon Rillettes -- wow, flavor!! Duck Sandwich -- wow, memorable!! Kale & Radicchio Salad -- wow, unique and fresh! This is a small place, but they offer indoor and outdoor seating. It's more of a two person restaurant because the seating space isn't large. However, I did see four cute older women sitting together outside, enjoying their French bites, having a blast catching up! That's the vibe you get -- cute little spot to enjoy memorable French cuisine with someone that you love.

Geoff M.

Yelp
Clean, bright, colorful and fancy-ish place. Chill staff, focused menus, original expressions. I come for the sugar, and am addicted to their cookies. Did I pay $17 for a piece of "Pain Perdu"? Yes Was it worth it? Yes Am I mad about it? Yes Can I go back to eating random french toast now? No Their coffee is coffee, their seasonal menus are interesting and the pricing reflect it all. Do with that information what you will. I encourage checking them out at least once and "treat yo'self". Also, the coffee is not "pain perdu" money, nor are the cookies lol. I'm just bitter that a new bar has been set for my sweet tooth.

Steve Z.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite joints, we mostly come here for breakfast, but have been back for dinner now a few times cause the menu has expanded. The Summer Tartine is so good I'd punch the Klondike people just to get one. The Croque Madam, French Toast, Ratatouille are all favs....along with a lovely Cortado. For Dinner try the Duck Liver Mouse, the aforementioned Tartine, the Summer Peaches and that Tomato salad. If your not eating the summer season are you even eating? Lastly For you terrible people that show up with a laptop and not order anything...you are the scourge of the earth. Take your screenplay to Starbucks. Also to the people complaining about the service...maybe you have a problem with strong women, and not the service...hmmm.

D S.

Yelp
Coffee was decent 4/5, but the food was only okay. I wish there were more savory vegetarian options and more seating without being crowded. It was a cute idea, but wish it was executed better

Diana P.

Yelp
A charming spot in West Sac. Parking is free the first 2 hours if you follow the instructions on the parking app. We came on Saturday morning and it was the perfect to enjoy some stillness before the morning crowd arrived. Beautifully designed cafe that is simple, sleek and timeless. We sat at the bar and got to smell the goodness of all the fresh pastries. Salmon tartine was fresh and light, quiche was delicious with a good zest from the green sauce & the walnut croissant was our favorite. It was flaky, nutty, salty and buttery. The roasted walnuts give a toffee like flavor. Highly recommend! Coffee and Dirty Chai (not pictured) were also great quality and well poured. Can't wait to come back.

Gillian A.

Yelp
You should've seen my face light up after taking a bite out of the almond croissant; it had the same buttery-crispiness as of my all-time favorite croissant, which is the twice-baked almond croissant at Seattle's Bakery Nouveau. The almond croissant here is a bit more decadent though with its plentiful molten almond paste filling. In a way it's like a cousin to a cinnamon roll in terms of richness lol. Definitely a treat-yourself, knife-and-fork type of dessert! I also tried the bol de chocolat. Was expecting a bold chocolate taste but taste was more on the milky side. The brioche that comes with the bol de chocolat was amazingly spongy, almost cake-like, but the butter spread on it was strikingly really salty. Clunky way of ordering here. Upon entering I felt pretty lost because there is no menu display anywhere. A staff member sitting at the wine bar eventually told me that I had to pick up one of the menu pamphlets, which are small and are kinda hard to find (at least for first-time visitors), and then order at the cashier. Overall a nice little cafe and I very much welcome cafes more like this one in the Sac area!

Jason N.

Yelp
Overall? For us this has been a waxing and waning culinary experience. It was amazing initially then over time disappointing as we felt like the quality and prices were starting to not be reflective of what you got. The last 2 times however we've seen a steady improvement. Coffee is good quality, food can be hit or miss but lately has been on point, great ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating Parking? Street options I would suggest the ratatouille or quiche for food options, commonly have coffee specials, as well as a standard selection of lattes

Catrina R.

Yelp
I'm from out of town and wanted a quick bite and felt like a yummy bakery may do the trick. I saw that this was a French bakery and decided to stop by. Apparently it is a bakery/cafe in the morning and a wine bar by night. Everything looked absolutely wonderful but I went for the Toasted Sandwich Au Jambon. The herb mustard butter really was the king here. The bread was obviously great as well. Also had a seasonal coffee that was tasty. I also got the last of their seasonal pumpkin snickerdoodles and when I tell you it was the BEST it truly was the best snickerdoodle I had ever had. Apparently they are switching it up for Christmas. Afterwards I decided to share this place with a friend of mine who lives in Sacramento since it was so tasty to only find out that the creators also own a Michelin restaurant (Canon). This did not surprise me as everything was delicious. It seemed like they were prepping as well. This is one of those places I'd want to cater given that fact and the quality if I lived nearby. I think they have a wine/coffee club they will be starting up. This place is right across from the river walk so I could foresee that being a lovely mix of grabbing a nibble/drink and then going for a stroll. It's a cute place to work inside in the morning but beware there's only limited spacing within. A few tables and bar seating. Outdoor seating exists but during this time it's a bit too cold. Parking is east. Plenty of street. First two hours were free and the rest was paid via an app. All in all will DEFINITELY come back when I'm in the area!

Yelp
Arrived on a sunny Sunday morning around 9:30am and had no problem finding parking or a vacant table. Shortly after ordering though, more customers filed in and soon enough most tables were taken. I do wish the interior was a bit more spacious, as that would've been our preferred place to sit - away from the really strong sun that day. The girl working the counter wasn't too friendly and just seemed a bit on edge. She did answer my question about suggesting popular items off their small menu and that was the extent of her customer service. Hubby and I ordered a few different items to try - a quiche, the croque madam, a walnut croissant, and a couple lattes. I like that all the items were unique either in presentation or use of ingredients. Some were pleasantly unique, and others not so much, but "A for effort" nonetheless. My biggest disappointment was biting into the walnut croissant and realizing this wasn't going to be the sweet ending to my meal that I was hoping for. I'm not sure if this is the way it's supposed to taste, but I was expecting a dessert-like pastry only to find the filling was quite salty. Bummer. My vanilla latte was yummy though - no complaints there! All in all, I liked having a cute place to go to and will keep Franquette in mind next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
It's okay. Extremely overpriced. Food is good, not great. Skip the Brussels sprouts. Boiled with pomegranate seeds sprinkled on top. Not good. Service is meh. There's a sign that says a 4% charge added to every bill to offset the cost of employee health benefits, which is ridiculous. Don't expect patrons to pay for employee benefits. There are better choices for coffee and sandwiches.

Yelp
The coffee here is so good! The top coffee in Sacramento. I've tried their pain au chocolat, walnut croissant, quiche, and croque madame (delicious and massive, I recommend you split it with your date) It's a must try.

Yelp
All things French is my vibe. So I had to finally try a local hot spot that I have heard so many great things about from friend's. Walking in felt like I was in a modern Paris bistro. Filled with patron's enjoying what I immediately smelled (the aroma of amazing French bites). There are so many things that stand out on the menu it was hard to choose. We ordered: Warm Frisée with Lardon salad Toasted Sandwich Au Jambon Mushroom Tartine We sat at the bar and watched the chef prepare meals. He was also very interactive and came by to say hello; offer us a sample of some tasty tea; and made sure we were pleased with our meal. I cannot wait to try everything on the menu!

Yelp
Franquette, Sacramento, CA, January 9, 2024 I came to Franquette on a Tuesday morning at about 11 AM with my wife. They had really good Yelp reviews, so we figured we'd give them a try. It has a really nice ambience, with a bar right as you walk in, and an ordering counter further down. They had nice music playing. The front is all windows, so it has a very light and airy feeling. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Since they didn't start serving lunch until noon, we ordered off the breakfast menu. My wife ordered the quiche, and I ordered the winter Galette. The quiche has leek, potato, caramelized onion, and green onion with Montboisse. The Winter Galette is seasonal and came with baby crimini, creamy chard, chèvre, and chive. We also got the chocolate croissant, which had orange marmalade. We also ordered lattes and a pot of tea. Everything was delicious and the prices for breakfast items are reasonable in the $5-$15 range.

Yelp
This place is adorable, very intimate not to many tables. Came here for a girls brunch and was pleasantly surprised! The food was flavorful and creative. I ordered a seasonal breakfast item that the host recommended with a few tweaks- it was delicious and filling. I would like to try more items next time!

Yelp
Cute place for a quick bite. Had the quiche and side salad which was very tasty. Also had the bread and butter yum yum. Who doesn't love hot bread?! Glass of sauv was crisp and cold on a hot day.

Yelp
My favorite local west Sacramento eatery. This is where I take my friends when we haven't seen each other in awhile and need a cute place to catch up. Coffee and espresso drinks, great eats, and a wine bar at night. They have one of the best quiches I've ever had in my life but you have to get it before it sells out!

Yelp
A friend and I came for a coffee/lunch date and it this place was very aesthetically pleasing. I loved all the wood accents throughout the restaurant. The bar area was also nice and you can see the chef making the meals. In terms of food the quiche was delicious! I also had the walnut whip which I have been craving since I went. I will definitely be coming back to try their brunch menu.
