Yelp
Yelp to the rescue, once again. Needed a Sunday Brunch spot and a quick Yelp search led me here. Boy, o, boy, Fratelli Cafe is all the hype. Let's jump right into this review.
First, there is an old mailbox at the entrance. They use it for the host/hostess to greet customers. I thought it was the coolest look. IJS. It stood out for good reason.
What did we have?
Chicken & Waffle - $20.00
belgian waffle, two pieces of fried chicken breast, served with maple syrup - Yum, yummy!
Bee Gees - $18.00
eggs, turkey bacon, bell peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, feta - I requested no feta, bell peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Not a bad dish, overall. Great flavor for what I had left over after my "special requests ".
Pros
1. Service is amazing. This place is setup that every employee is your server. No one shrugs when you ask a question or require assistance. You won't hear, let me get your server here.
2. Food is flavorful! Bon appetit.
3. They have electronic and paper menus.
4. Cool decor - exposed wood, hanging bikes, and greenery.
Cons
1. Street parking only. Pay the meters. Read the signs.
2. Only 1 bathroom. I didn't use it, so, I can't speak to the cleanliness. But, I sat close to it and saw it was getting use often.
Other things to know:
- Fratelli gets busy. I suggest a reservation.
- Waiter/waitress doesn't take your order at your table. You review the menu and order at the register.
- Seating is close proximity to other people/tables.
I recommend Fratelli Cafe. It's worth pulling up. So, don't delay, add this place of a gem to your list of eateries to try.
