Best Pizza Restaurants in Phoenix, Arizona, 2021 - Eater Phoenix

"The name means “buffalo brothers,” a droll allusion (complete with website tall tale) to the buffalo mozzarella and burrata that show up in salads, pastas and Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas at this popular, upbeat spot in McCormick Ranch. It’s the second U.S. location for a Naples-based chain of pizzerias with outlets all over the world, but don’t be turned off by its corporate roots. Owned by franchisee Fabio Sodano, who keeps its real, the place is seriously good. Don’t miss the casertana (topped with smoked and fresh mozzarella, house-made sausage, and rapini) or the delicata (topped with various cheeses, mortadella, pistachios, and basil)." - Nikki Buchanan, Chris Malloy

This is a great spot for authentic Italian food. My wife and I split a pizza and a pasta dish. Both were recommended by our server. The pizza was a smoked mozzarella with spec and the pasta was a pappardelle with shrimp and pistachio. The pizza came out fast and had a great crust. After trying that pasta I wanna come back and try something else authentic like Bolognese staff were super friendly and helpful in the environment was relaxed and casual. definitely going to come back.

My husband and I were visiting Scottsdale and were craving margarita pizza. When we saw the photo it reminded us of the Neapolitan pizza we ate in Italy. To our surprise it was so delicious! The ingredients are from Italy so the sauce and the crust was just like we had in Naples. We also ordered the burger and it was so good! We had to compliment the manager Angelo. Great service and great food!!

Google
Great lunch. Had the $20 chicken cutlet sandwich with homemade potato chips. The pizza dough bread and fresh tomatoes were keys to the sandwich success.

Google
It was our first time here and it is very family friendly and welcoming. It seems like the staff gets to know or know their customers. You can tell it is authentic Italian food and people. We highly recommend the pizzas, meatballs, and finishing your meal with a lemoncello or another flavor. It finishes off your meal nicely and helps as a digestive. It is a type of liqueur. Dinner time has good music and ambiance. Their patio seating is very nice as well.

Loved this spot. The food was excellent. The service was a little slow. It took a while to get our drinks. It was pretty crowded so maybe they were understaffed. Nonetheless the food and atmosphere was great.

We chose this place on a whim and got there an hour before closing which I never usually do it was late, we were hungry, and it was available. The host was amazingly friendly and seemed knowledgeable. Also, the manager or owner (I assume ) greeted us and was also very friendly. The lasagna, bruschetta board, and pizza were all AMAZING! Even the Italian wine was very good. Will definitely be back to try this again when we're back in Scottsdale. I really want that pizza! It's a gem!

Google
we've been here a couple of times. came for my birthday. the $60 bottle of wine was the cheapest choice, average at best. I had the cioppino $50, about right, but it's the first time i've had it not over pasta. did not get any mention of birthday celebration, even though the waiter knew it. $152 for wine and 2 average dishes, not so much. there are so many better choices

We tried this place because I was looking for a good pizza place to meet with some family and share that our daughter was pregnant with twins. We chose Fratelli LA Bufala on a whim and wow was it a special night. We came for the food which was tremendous by the way. I felt like the pizza was like being in Rome. More importantly though we felt like family. Our waiter who was a young Columbian guy helped us to make a surprise video when we told our family. He was very attentive, and personally shook everyone's hand at the table before we left. The owner also came and checked in with us just to see how everything was. Great service is a lost art these days, but add great food and you have a customer for life. Thank you Fratelli LA Bufala.

Yelp
This was really a great experience for us. We just had a bad evening elsewhere that threatened to ruin our night, but after we arrived our evening turned around. Service was prompt and attentive for the most part, but overall kind. They went out of their way to give us a nice evening. Really loved the Pizza Margherita and the steak. Desserts were also great too. The restaurant itself is nice, clean, and calm despite being in a pretty busy area. It feels properly spaced out.

Yelp
We went way out of our way to try this Italian restaurant. Was it good? Yes. Was it worth the drive? Not so much. If we lived closer it might be a go to spot for Napolitano style pizza. Service started out slow, but was made up to us by lots of apologies and gracious attitude. Space was pleasant enough, more on the casual side. Elevator music was a bit of a vibe kill. Food: Polpette di Melanzane (eggplant ball) is apparently a Neapolitan staple I have never heard of - 7/10 Caesar salad with housemaid croutons-7/10 Pizza, Diavlo - 7/10

Yelp
Came here with my husband several times. And I would say this is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Scottsdale. The food we ordered were all really delicious! The chicken was juicy and tender, lasagna was creamy but not too greasy, the rigatoni was full of flavors (spicy, lemony, and fragrant), and the fried seafood had a light batter. Not to mention the tiramisu - you could feel the coffee and mascarpone melted in your mouth immediately. I would say since this is a global chain, their Italian food is globalized in a way that some Italian tastes are gone. But still , you can tell the food is high quality and the chef put efforts in it. We also liked the Italian vibe in the restaurant - really bright and inviting. Overall, a great place to hang out with family and friends to get some Italian taste!

Yelp
Went here pretty late last night. Thought they were closed since it was very dark from the outside, but we were pleasantly surprised they were open and able to accommodate us. I'd go back if I were in the area and try some of the other pasta dishes and maybe a marinara pizza, but still have a lot of other pizza/pasta places I'd like to try first. Pros 1. Very nice manager. The real deal Italian from Naples! 2. Pizza was simple and very good 3. They have ricotta gnocchi (preferred over the heavy potato gnocchi) Cons 1. A lot of the food on the menu was very pricey. The pizzas and pasta without protein were a more reasonble price. 2. Very dark and empty inside the restaurant (this may have been because it was late).

Yelp
The service is so wonderful and the food reminds me of New York and Italy! So many great dishes on the menu it's hard to just pick one!!

Yelp
I do not understand the high ratings for this place. I am Italian, and my favorite cuisine is Italian food. A lot of people seem to like this place, including my friends who took me there. It was expensive in the food was not great... And the service was so slow. We tried multiple dishes, and all of them were very average. The pizzas were pretty good, but they took an extremely long time to come out. The servers were nice enough, but we just never saw them. Limited parking and the vibe was okay. I will probably try this place again, but I really wasn't that impressed. The flavors were really not elevated.

Yelp
I stopped in here for a quiet lunch with a coworker and the restaurant was completely empty which was nice. We went at an odd time so it was kind of to be expected but the Pizza and Steak we had was amazing and the food came out super fast. The staff was all very polite and attentive. Would definitely come back here again to try out some more of their menu!

Yelp
Just like in Italy. This restaurant served up a great sandwich on fresh pizza dough. It had two dipping sauces, with the basil aoili standing out for sure. The chicken cutlets were cooked perfectly and the homemade chips were crunchy and fresh.

Yelp
Really delicious, authentic Italian food! I'm a huge fan of napoletana style pizza and have had this spot bookmarked for forever. Finally, my husband and I were in the area and able to check it out. The employees are extremely friendly and service was great throughout the meal. The restaurant is clean and spacious as well. The fritto misto was tasty and I enjoyed having some veggies mixed in. The misto salad was standard but also very good. For entrees, the margherita pizza was a perfect Italian napoletana pizza --light airy crust, simple tomato sauce, with fresh mozzarella and basil. If you gave me this pizza in Italy I would have been just as happy. My husband really enjoyed his pasta dish and the buffalo mozzarella added a very subtle creaminess, which helped to slightly elevate the cacio e pepe --which is otherwise a very simple dish. Last but not least, the apple crostata was excellent. I would come back just for this dessert itself. Unfortunately it is a special so it's not permanently on the menu. Overall a great, authentic Italian meal. Neopolitan style pizza isn't for everyone but it's my favorite kind and I was so excited to finally try this restaurant!

Yelp
Honest review. My first experience. I came in based of social media reviews. Our server was excellent the best part of our experience. We ordered water with lemon, it had an awful taste. If I had to describe it, it tastes like what a sewer drain smells like. So we switched it up to Coke. We love Coca Cola. It arrived and was like drinking syrup. Not much carbonation at all. The server did try another round but it wasn't much better. Moving on to the food. Our highlight was the chicken sandwich made with pizza dough bun. Sauces were both great to complement the dish and the home made chips. We then tried a capricciosa pizza. Normally one of my favorites. It was just okay. We didn't finish it. We also ordered a dish that was recommended by our server as one of their more popular dishes, cacio de pepe. We each took a bite and sent it back unfortunately. It lacked flavor, love and most importantly it was NOT homemade pasta. It's always a bummer trying something new and being disappointed when you had high hopes. I frequent the restaurant scene and for this particular area, I would have rather spent money at Pubblico Italian Eatery, The Italiano or La Zozzona.

Yelp
Service, food, and ambiance all 5 stars. Located in Mcclintock Ranch area of Scottsdale is Fratelli la Bufala. The bufala in this case is symbolic of the water buffalo in which the mozzarella is produced. Very nice wrap around patio with a beautiful view of Camelback Mt. Nice buffalo bull horn shaped pizza oven. Civi was amazing, best service. All staff here are great people. I started with an Old Fashioned cocktail and it was excellent, very well blended, all cocktails are top shelf. Entre, I opted for the spaghetti alla nerano. Noodles were al dente, high quality olive oil, perfectly melted cheese and garlic zucchini. All of the flavors converged into a perfect harmony. Come to this spot in the heart of Scottsdale to enjoy delicious, authentic flavors of Italy!

Yelp
We have some pretty solid choices in Italian Food around the valley, but these guys leave me with a comfortable glow, and thank god I only dine with friends who eat family style...I get to try all the dishes I want. I know the soup of the day will delight me...particularly if it's the lentil. I have a dilemma of choice on the salads: the Misto is excellent, the Spinaci gets me with the dressing, walnuts and pancetta, and the Caesar has these sick, creamy centered croutons. It's the same with the pizza...anything new is a safe choice because they are puffy, slightly charred and delicious...no matter the choice. The Margherita is truly great, and at the other end of the spice & sauce spectrum are the Diavola and the Ragu...talk about a loaded pie, although the Ragu has to be eaten quickly if you like any crispness in your base..it will get soggy if left on the plate. I really love the Pappardelle alla Bolognese, it's a favorite and a comfort food if I'm not feeling great, but they will serve it with zucchini noodles if that's your choice. The spaghetti alla Nerano and the Lasagna are also delectable. Last week I had the Arizona burger one day, and the Polpetta the next. Sounds excessive, but both were absolutely fantastic, and while they are totally different choices, like everything else you can't go wrong. They are also great about letting you taste the by the glass pours to find something that hits the spot. I know I eat out too much, but sometimes I don't feel like cooking and just want rock solid food, and Fratelli fits.

Yelp
Wow! The food is incredible. I haven't had good pasta or pizza like that in a while. You can tell that they truly care about their food and what they put in it. It is so high quality. The service was great our server was actually Italian! The prices are a bit on the higher side but it's worth it. 10/10

Yelp
Sat at the bar and worked out with the bar server what to order. Took me on a journey of the history of the restaurant (must do) and the menu. Ended up ordering the lasagna; a piece of heaven in your mouth. The dessert selection is great. Everything is authentically Italian. Best part? The beers on tap are all imported straight from Italy. I will dream of the food here tonight and come back tomorrow.
google avatar

Geminise R.

Yelp
I've been to Naples before... and boy does this pizza come close. The pizza basically melts in your mouth and is absolutely delectable. The crust is perfectly crunchy but still chewy and you feel like you've been transplanted to Italy. There's a chili oil you can drizzle on top which is just chefs kiss. Everything is fresh and cooked to order and I would definitely come back.

Yelp
I want to highlight the variety of Old Fashioned options at this place; I stopped to get some real Italian food and ran into a really well crafted drinks and cocktails menu. I recommend trying them. Our waitress and the manager were always checking on us.

Yelp
3.5/5 Had this place on the list for a while and unfortunately was just OK. I ordered the Arizona pizza, and while the crust was cooked to my liking (thin in the middle but puffy on the outside), the topping was actually kind of plain. I could taste the Gorgonzola, but not enough of the fig or ricotta. I've had similar pizzas elsewhere that I think are better bang for the buck. The cacio e pepe was good, and the noodles were cooked nice and al dente, but nothing to write home about (granted, may have just been our choice in dish). We also ordered cannolis (not pictured), and they were a little softer and smaller than expected. Service was good and food came out quick. We did enjoy sitting on the patio, though it backs right into the parking lot.

Yelp
Great authentic pizza and service! Loved the friendly staff and nice patio seating would come back!
google avatar

Hazel J.

Yelp
Good, and probably very consistently so Got the following: Margherita pizza: 3 stars, all the flavors were decent but everything needed more salt. The texture of the crust was great, but needed salt Lasagna: 4 stars, appropriately seasoned, big portion, very tasty Polpotte: 4 stars, big meatballs, tender, high meat to breading ratio, and the sauce was great Spinach salad: 4 stars, great balsamic vinaigrette and loved the candied pecans Would come back for everything I had but the pizza (unless they salt it better!) Great wine options!
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Fantastic lunch! The food was excellent! I had their version of a meatball sandwich and with the pizza dough as the bread...amazing! It was odd that they brought slices and oil but no bread ‍ maybe next time. The service was friendly. The space was pretty empty but very clean and comfortable. I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Amye K.

Yelp
Casual and excellent. Closest experience to dining in Italy that I've had in a while. Food is simple and well-prepared. They haven't junked it up with all the stuff Americans put in dishes and try to pass them off as Italian. You'll still find some of the Italian-American favorites, like Caesar salad and chicken parm, if you must. Service was attentive but not overbearing. They didn't rush us off when we lingered for a bit, even though it was near closing time. The pappadelle is a standout.

Yelp
We came here for an 'al fresco' lunch in late February. What a wonderful experience! Authentic Italian food, a wide variety menu, and absolutely outstanding service. We loved everything, and will return whenever in the area. Come and enjoy!!!

John C.

Yelp
went for a birthday dinner. thought the wine and dinner was over priced. could have gone to red devil for the same thing at less than half the price. dishes were just average at best.
google avatar

Barbara H.

Yelp
Excellent service, gorgeous patio w misters, and delicious food - fresh mozzarella, pasta bolognese and Campari Spritz! Thank you CV (our amazing server). We will be back for sure!!
google avatar

Ryan S.

Yelp
Best pizza ever! No food additives. Just don't take your psychopath narcissist gf out to eat here. She will take your money and give the waitress a $60 tip.
google avatar

Brandy W.

Yelp
Ambiance is there and this feels very much like an Italian restaurant we would visit in Italy. We've spent a lot of time there and have yet to feel that immersed in the states. The bread appetizer was perfect to begin and our two pizzas were good, but given my addiction to salt, I needed to add more sodium. We had two pizzas sans cheese (like in Italy) and our kids were big fans there, so it's no surprise they enjoyed it here. No kid menus were offered but with pizza on the menu to share, who needs a kids menu? Much like Italy again! My husband's lasagna was great, too. All around nice experience.
google avatar

Barbara F.

Yelp
We had several great experiences here. Not so wonderful lately. Pizza undercooked; cocktails not to our request. The top pizza maker may not be the best. So very sorry.
google avatar

Chad W.

Yelp
Great pizzas! Very authentic dishes and great service. Sat at bar and bartender took time to review menu and provide recommendations.

Maryalice J.

Yelp
Disappointing. Very limited choices. Nice to sit outside. More of chain experience. We like a smaller family style experience.
google avatar

Patrick A.

Yelp
Excellent Neapolitan pizza. Probably the best you will find in the Scottsdale area. Service was top notch. Peaceful music and an authentic Italian ambiance. Highly recommend for a date night or special occasion. Shout out to my server Philippe he was phenomenal!
google avatar

Diane R.

Yelp
I've only been here once, and we shared 2 gigantic meals! I can't remember the names, but I included the pics. I would say they were simple and tasty dishes. We really enjoyed them, but they were not what we are used to in terms of Italian food. The first dish was a lightly, fried pressed chicken with a lemon wedge and potatoes and delicious green salad. The second dish had a variety of meat: steak, chicken, and sausage. It included potatoes that were like chips. I would've preferred the potato wedges that came with the other dish. This restaurant is only the second location in the US. They seem to have lots of locations around the world so I imagine the menu is more tailored to all different palates beyond American ideals of Italian cuisine - so less "sauce and cheese." I'd like to go back to try a pizza and pasta dish!
google avatar

Ana A.

Yelp
The pizza is absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the ambiance and the staff. Very attentive, professional and friendly. We celebrated my son's birthday- they really made it special.

Yelp
When I am craving pizza, I am particularly thinking about the pizza from Fratelli La Bufala. The restaurant has ample parking and did not have a wait time. My friend invited me to try this restaurant out she had an enjoyable experience prior and because I just love good food. We came here at an early afternoon and was able to order the calamari from the happy hour menu, then ordered two different types of pizza. They were both sooo good. I am so happy I have found my favorite restaurant for pizza in Scottsdale
google avatar

Raquel A.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try Fratelli for weeks, but schedules haven't aligned. We finally made it in yesterday. We will be back! We started with the Frito Misto, which we devoured. My husband absolutely loved the basil cream sauce. The calamari and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the vegetables were a nice addition. We ate every last bit. For entrees, I went with the Cornetto di bufala, which is described as: Calzone pizza style with fresh and smoked cheese, topped with Prosciutto di Parma, cherry tomatoes, arugula and shaved Parmigiano. The arugula and tomatoes are actually on the side, which is fine as I think they probably would have fallen off if they tried to put them in top. The prosciutto and the parmigiana are imported from Italy. No cutting corners with imitation ingredients here. This was delicious and I am looking forward to eating the leftovers for lunch very shortly! The cook on the dough was fantastic and had that great charred flavor you get from a wood fired oven. My husband had the lasagna, and he missed out on leftovers for lunch today because he ate every last bite. I'm surprised he didn't lick the plate. He did give me a bite. It was so flavorful without an overwhelming cheese taste like you get with so many lasagnas. This was so fresh and I only wish I could make one this delicious. We did order dessert to-go. I chose the profiteroles which was so different than I'd expected, but absolutely delicious. The rich chocolate and the Italian cream covering the choux puffs - oh my! I can almost still taste it. My husband chose the cannolis, which are his go-to and he was in heaven. Service was excellent! Our server was telling us that yesterday was her last shift before she returns home to Italy. But she assured us she'd be back in September, and we promised we'd be back to see her. If you are anywhere near Scottsdale, add this place to your list. You will not be disappointed!
google avatar

Harika S.

Yelp
My absolute favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant. Everything is fresh and delicious! No fuss environment and pizza that melts in your mouth! Staff are very friendly and we always have a great experience! My favorites are the margerita pizza and the pappardelle with pomodoro sauce! Fratelli is a weekly staple
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
I was intrigued by this restaurant after I saw a review in a local online news article that mentioned that this was the second US location of a southern Italian restaurant that has multiple locations in Italy and serves authentic Neapolitan pizzas. I went for lunch and had a really tasty pizza! I ordered the Margherita di Bufala DOP, which was perfect. Great flavor, just the right amount of olive oil and marinara to balance out the cheese, and perfect crust. My husband started off with a delicious cappuccino (was well balanced and not bitter or too acidic) and ordered the Ripieno calzone and the Rigatoni pasta, both of which were also very good. One thing we noted here is that there were several people speaking Italian in the restaurant. I guess that is a good sign if this is where the Italian people like to eat! We sat outside on the patio, which is spacious and did not get too hot because of misters and a nice breeze.
google avatar

Brian D.

Yelp
Man... this is great, real Italian food and it's awesome! We saw this place sort of tucked in the corner of the shopping center and in our quest to find great pizza we finally made there last weekend. My Wife and I were blown away (the Margarita) - this is the real deal, wood oven and all. Honestly, I'm probably going back this weekend.... We're big fans of Pizzeria Bianco in PHX and this is right up there. There's a full menus here too, not just pizza and we'll get to that as well. If you love good Italian food, go there now! Also, we spoke to the Owner (Italian guy, accent and all!) and he's just a delight as well.
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
What an amazing find. Walk in and you'll meet hosts and hostesses with beautiful Italian accents. An acquaintance had posted a picture of the rigatoni and I couldn't wait to try it. Now I've been twice for the same entree. I also sampled a pizza and the most divine lasagna to ever grace a plate! My friend ordered the lasagna. Upon the first bite, a sigh, a pause, a deep "mmmmmm" and then a bold pronouncement: "That is THE BEST lasagna I have EVER had." I had a taste...and it was an apt description! Sublime. The rigatoni entree has a hint of heat from the red pepper flakes. I'm not a fan of broccolini so we left that out. The sausage was exceptionally well flavored and not greasy at all. The light sauce and perfect al dente pasta was an epic match to create a flavor bomb. The ambiance is lovely with an open kitchen and attentive service. There is a nice bar area and outdoor seating with heaters for cool nights. The next time you're looking for a new and delicious Italian meal, pick Fratelli La Bufula!
google avatar

Adam B.

Yelp
The Mozzarella was incredible, the ambiance could have been a little better, the music was super low felt it could have been louder. You could hear a churning sound in the back round. The service was great.
google avatar

Scott L.

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this spot for some time now and finally made it in on a Friday night on a whim. We didn't have a reservation, so we were relegated to the outdoor patio. It was cold and windy, but they had heaters. They play upbeat music and the decor is modern and trendy. We were offered water after a short wait, but it took quite a while to get the heater turned on and to place a drink order. Our server seemed a bit frazzled and unfriendly at first likely due to the amount of tables that were seated without reservations all at the same time. Multiple times drinks or food was brought to our table that were not meant for us, so it seemed like something was disorganized on the backend. They do offer gluten free options, but unfortunately the pizza was cooked in the same oven as the normal pizza so my wife had to avoid that. The pasta was cooked in separate water though, so that was a safe option. We started with the caesar salad with the polenta croutons on the side. It came out quick and the croutons were unique and tasty. Our mains took over 45 minutes and were relatively simple being the margherita di bufala DOP and gluten free penne with the caciobufala e pepe. The pizza was phenomenal. All of the ingredients had a lot of flavor and the crust was exceptional. However, the pasta lacked in flavor and felt like an extremely over priced bowl of buttered noodles. I'm not sure if they make the gluten free pasta in house, but at a $4 up charge it seemed quite aggressive on a $24 bowl of pasta especially if it wasn't homemade. Our server comped our second round of drinks due to the long wait and warmed up towards the end of our meal which definitely bumped this up to 4 stars. Overall I felt like the pizza and beer were reasonably priced, but the wine at $17 for a glass and the pasta at $28 with no protein were quite steep. I would return, but definitely make a reservation as they seemed to receive better service.

Yelp
Fratelli La Bufala - Scottsdale is an Italian Group of restaurants in Europe and the Middle East. They now have their second American location in Scottsdale. The main digs are the Naples Style Pizzas and their house made pastas. They also offer appetizers, salads, two burgers, two entrees, a kids menu, desserts, and bar drinks. We started out by sharing a Caesar Salad (spelled Cesare on menu). They were very nice and made the salad on two plates for us. The salads are very lightly dressed but I thought they were good. The house made croutons have a very good bread taste. For my main I had to try the Margherita Di Bufula DOP. The crust is very light and very thin. It's topped with a rich tomato sauce, buffalo cheese, and the most amazing delicious sweet basil. I thought that the pizza was very good but I have a preference for the buffalo cheese to be cooked less so that milky extra wonderful cheese just melts into the pizza. But still a very good pizza. The meat pizzas might be what is extra special here because the soppressata that they use for the Diavola is actually spicy and different from what other Italian pizza restaurants serve. I like that they set the tables with olive oil, Calabrian chili oil, cheese, and hot pepper flakes. Our server was extra nice, helpful, and efficient. Parking is easy and close. I'd highly recommend for a taste of Naples.

Yelp
Amazing experience, yet again! Stan was our server ( for the second or third time), and he was wonderful! I enjoyed the Hugo spritz which was so refreshing and perfect for a warm evening. We started with the bruschetta, classica and caprese- so good! We enjoyed the Cacio e Pepe and margarita pizza (good size portions so we have lunch for tomorrow!), and ended our evening with the tiramisu- A MUST! The best Italian food in Scottsdale and Phoenix area. Great service and authentic Italian cuisine.

Yelp
This is on of the best Italian restaurants in Scottsdale, maybe in the state. Do you like Pomo? Do you...This place is Pomo with out the corporate robot status. The real deal Italian Restaurant with authentic DOP ingredients and real food. The Bar is great and when the weather is good, half the bar is outside inside air conditioned and mistered up. Pizza is on point, the entrees will have you guessing if you have Italian roots, and a great staff to make your experience a memorable one. I have purposely not reviewed this restaurant. I don't want everyone here, but they deserve the success based on how well they are executing on all levels. Pasquale and Jill are an impressive Italian and American combo you didn't see lighting up your happy hour or evening bar stroll. Great place,

Yelp
My only regret is how long I waited to eat here! Fratelli La Bufala is well-known in Italy as a first-class pizzeria which serves TRADITIONAL Neapolitan pizza. But the fact is that everything Fratelli La Bufala does is first-class! I went there on a Friday night in June expecting it to be fairly empty because at 6:30PM when it's 108 outside, who would want pizza? Wrong. Apparently lots of people do. They have an excellent bar atmosphere, perfectly situated so that the inside dining room remains out of the sun and remains cool but yet enough light so my 52 year old eyes did not need my cell phone flashlight to read the menu. My wife and I ordered pizzza (DOP Margherita di Bufala) and pasta (Rigatoni Salsiccia e Friarelli). The pasta (they use a premium Italian import brand) was perfectly al-dente and the sauce was a perfect balance of rapini, extra-virgin olive oil and Italian sausage. The pizza was exactly what I had hoped for. Crispy on the outside, soft inside with that smokiness from the wood-fired oven. Tomato sauce and cheese were both heavenly. Everything well-balanced so you taste all of the quality ingredients equally. The service was perfectly attentive without being overly watchful. Alessia was very knowledgeable and was able to accommodate special requests. I have to have bread when I eat pasta so I ordered a side of bread. You may be surprised that they charge for their bread. But when you order it and taste it, you'll understand why they charge for it. And it's only $4. We are grateful that this is so close in our neighborhood. Perfect location for date night, family get togethers, business dinner or lunch and they even have seating at the bar if you're alone on a business trip. This is an absolute gem for Scottsdale. Instead of ordering delivery or Uber Eats, go and support this authentic Italian pizzeria restaurant! *update: I dropped in again on the following Monday afternoon and had their hamburger. If pizza is not your thing, then you MUST try this hamburger. They use their pizza crust as the bun and your life will change for the better!

Yelp
Delicious!!! Authentic Italian food with great service. We were there for a girl's night out & enjoyed everything. The salad, pizza, pasta, lasagna were all amazing & the tiramisu was one of the best I have ever had. We will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
My husband ordered the Margherita pizza and I ordered the Capricciosa pizza. Both came out really good. The dough is thin and both pizzas are tasty. My pizza came with prosciutto Cotto which was wonderful but there was not enough of it. Each pizza order can be shared. It's a fairly good size. ( I didn't get to take a picture of the Margherita pizza.) The service is excellent. We ordered our pizza and it was on our table piping hot within a few minutes. The place is great for casual entertaining. There are lots of tables. They also have outside dining. We will definitely be back with some friends. I would like to try their pasta dish on my next visit

Yelp
We had such an amazing time- everything was fabulous! The ambience, food, and the service! I met up with my sister in law who was in town for a few days. This was my second time and my first was so good I just had to bring a foodie of town guest! We both are adventurous eaters and wanted to go with the suggestions of our waiter. He didn't steer us wrong! We started off with his suggestion - a red wine - Dinamico. We opted for the Spagetti all Nerano and the classic margarita pizza with buffalo mozzarella. because he knew we were sharing, he offered to split the spaghetti into two plates (pictured), so it would be easiest to eat - so thoughtful! Because we don't see each other often we had lots of catching up to do. He checked in with us regularly and had such a friendly disposition. We decided to finish off our meal with a very delicious tiramisu! Typically not a dessert I go for, but did not disappoint. Although I live across town, I will be returning and have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. Lorenzo, thank you for all of your suggestions and excellent service. Thank you for excellent dining experience!
