It’s a nice upscale steakhouse. Service impeccable. I got the fried mozzarella which was good, a fratellis salad and a filet. Flavors were all great. Nitpicking but my cut of filet wasn’t the best looking cut, and the plate could have been dressed up more (I didn’t move the shrimp at all, they came on the plate like that). But otherwise good service and a nice, refined place to eat.

I used to love Fratelli’s. It was the go-to for birthdays and anniversaries but I was super disappointed in my last visit. My bisque was cold and lacking lobster. No lumps of meat. My spanakopita was burnt. My espresso martini came in a warm short glass. It looked like a chocolate milk shot. No color seperation, no toppings. Nothing to take picture and brag on. I don’t think they had enough glasses. When I ordered a bottle of wine, the hold up was finding wine glasses. My friend’s pasta was sent back due to the shrimp not being blackened. Then when they returned the pasta, it just had more seasoning on top. She sent it back again and they remade the whole dish but the shrimp looked less done than the first time. My other friend ordered the pasta blackened but it came the same way. She kept hers. I didn’t complain because I think it was the manager that brought my birthday friend her dish the second time around. He probably knew it was suppose to be blackened and dropped it down looking underdone. I figured let’s just finish up and get some late night food somewhere else. I did have my food boxed up and tried eating it today. It’s just not good. Not very traditional spanakopita either. No tzatziki but tomato sauce. Weird. I paid 80 for a cold soup, a burnt appetizer, a hot chocolate milk shot and a bottle of wine that was delicious but I waited a tad bit too long for. That’s the cheapest my bill has ever been but also the most disappointed. My other friends steak looked very good. The salad I heard was delicious as well.

I set up a party for 10 people. We did make a reservation. when we got there, the table was set perfectly. The wait staff was very friendly. The food was incredible. The fillets were amazing. The salmon was very good. The salads were wonderful. The appetizers were great.. Every dessert was amazing, we ordered every one of them and then rated them for fun. The winner was the bread pudding. I would definitely recommend this place for a night out, party, anniversary, birthday or whatever l. it was great!! Did not disappoint at all.

Every year, we take our family out for a special Christmas Eve dinner. This year, I decided to give Fratellis a try. I made reservations for our party of 7 (back in September) for Christmas Eve. The place was packed, as you can imagine. Even with the large group, we were seated right on time. Our server took his time explaining all the specials, and the food came out quickly. All of our steaks were cooked perfectly. We couldn't have experienced a better family dinner to start our holiday. Our family members said that Fratellis should be our Christmas Eve tradition!

Excellent formal dining restaurant. Beautiful and quiet atmosphere, relaxing music, clean restrooms. The food is great and prepared nicely, and the staff is very polite and attentive.

The ladies at the front of house were nice. Waitresses were lack luster and just felt as if they were in a bad mood from the first getting. We had a reservation. We were sat quickly, everything looked clean, had a party of 7 food came out in a respectable time. Salads were fresh. Entrees varied in desireability. We had burgers, pastas, eggplant parm. No one was blown away. Had to request extra sauce for one due to it being dry. Overall 2.5 out of 5. It was our first time. I'd be willing to go back at someone else's suggestion but personally not my first pick. No one like the bread and oil. Prices honestly in comparison to other steakhouses were reasonable. I really think its definetly just a place you have to try and see for yourself. They didnt lack patrons.

Google
When you spend a grand out the door, you deserve better service and frankly food. Being rushed and questioned by staff ruins the reason our party came to dine. The quality of our dishes were not up to steak house standards. For your viewing pleasure is a pricey shrimp scampi to go, which speaks for itself. Looks like $5, costs $30. Will not return.

Yelp
Talk about your perfect Italian steakhouse. We had a friend recommend Fratelli's and it was just fantastic. Ambience is not stuffy at all... We had the starter fried lobster tail, which was amazing. The portions are really big. We could've shared one entrée Husband got the bone in ribeye, I got the lasagna. We each had salad salads. It was really fantastic. We will be back.

Yelp
Rehearsal dinner success! Friends who are really family are celebrating the eldest daughters wedding & it was insisted that we join the family for dinner. First impressions were stellar. We arrived early, and were immediately escorted back to the patio space with heaters going to keep the chill away. We quickly realized we didn't have a place card & were chatting the staff, telling jokes and stories. Because we were early and the staff was ready, Lindsay (one of our servers) was already working the problem. Steal the gift table and add it to the end & ta-da, more seating. There was three of us that needed seat. The mother of the grooom apologized, but seriously, no worries! Sage, Jeff & Lindsay worked hard once guests started filling in. Anything we needed, all three of them worked flawlessly & anticipated guests requests. Water glasses filled, here comes Lindsay. Wine refill- Sage was watching the tables & ready to keep glasses filled. Appetizers were buffet style. The meatballs & fried mozzarella were excellent. Orders for the mains were taken and the salads were served. Great blend of flavors in the salad! Sides for the mains were family style. Brussel sprouts (fabulous), broccoli was cooked perfectly, pasta went quickly, hashbrowns also disappeared fast. The risotto was overcooked (my only ding)- BUT, I truly believe there was miscommunication about start time. We arrived at 6, or invite said it started at 6:30. We were hoping that we could see the parents of the bride before things got crazy. The staff thought it started at 6!! Just a few logistic hiccups, pretty normal for event planning. Mains- chicken picatta, I was told it was a little tough aka- over cooked or possibly sat too long after cooking. Shrimp scampi- those who had it raved about it. Ribeye steak- John and I both went with cow. And it was cooked perfectly, medium- rare & delicious. Somehow I even took a few bites of the decadent chocolate mousse cake. And... props to the bar for tasty cocktails, but please get some bourbon cherries for your old fashioned. Pssst, management. Lol. But the drinks were yummy!

Yelp
When my husband got us a reservation at Fratelli's Italian Steakhouse for our wedding anniversary, I figured it had been a long time and I could give some grace for the spot since I'd only ever tried it once before. I had a vague memory of many years ago that left me with the enduring impression of someone shoving my mouth full of glue, kicking me in the teeth then holding out their hand for a hundred bucks. First off, the hostess seemed decidedly miffed to see customers. Which, fine, I've been there-I worked as a server for 6 years, 7.5 years in customer service call centers so I know what it is to have a bad day working with the public. But the first person to greet us was unfriendly and certainly set the tone for the rest of the experience. We were 15 minutes early to our reservation, so maybe that contributed to the hostess' mood. We made it clear that we were happy to wait. But she did have the table ready already (plus!) so she whisked us over to our seats. We start to get settled in, the chairs are comfy which is about the nicest thing I can say about the ambiance. They are extremely close together. The restaurant has squashed too many tables into the dining room. This had the consequence of it being very loud and chaotic. Not the vibe you want when you're paying a lot for a meal on a special occasion. A team of two servers helped us-One was a young lady with a nose ring and a sunshiny disposition (probably the most pleasant part of our evening), the other was a grumpy guy with a beard who seemed overwhelmed. They got us our drinks, brought us bread and herbed olive oil (yum), got our orders, brought out our salad (not bad) and kept an eye out for refills. Great! Then I have to pee (a habit of mine) and so I went to the ladies room. The TP dispenser is not only broken but has been for some time and it looks like they tried to "fix" it with duct tape. "Gee, I hope this isn't foreshadowing of dinner to come!" It was. I get back and we received our food. My husband had ordered, as one does at a steakhouse, a steak. I ordered, as one does at a place that proclaims itself as Italian, a pasta-To be exact, I got the penne with vodka sauce (about nineteen dollars) and because it was a special occasion, I also got a lobster tail (a thirty dollar upcharge.) How silly of me! My husband's dinner looked good! Steak looked the right temperature, brussel sprouts looked crispy and blackened. I tried both and they were great. My pasta was a different story. "Why would you get pasta at a steakhouse?" First of all, if you have something on your menu that's bad, why is it there? Second of all, this is an Italian restaurant which comes with expectations of what is done well there-Pasta should be a safe bet. It was not. The pasta was a swollen, gummy opaque mess covered in a cold, underseasoned pink sauce. The lobster was tasty although the size of it made me genuinely question if I was being punked. I have NEVER seen a lobster tail so small-Hand to God, the meat of it had to be a quarter of an inch thick and no more than two ounces. I wondered, insanely, to myself if the restaurant had been shaving off the underside of their lobster tails to toss into the bisque and ravioli. I was, and obviously still am, pissed off. So I politely caught the attention of our male server. I told him that the dish was cold and the pasta was overcooked. He simply looked at me with a resigned expression and a clipped "Ooh-kay," he snatched up the plate, presumably to have the kitchen remake it. After only about five minutes, the plate of goo reappeared, carried by our long-suffering waiter. Curiously, it hadn't been long enough time for the pasta to be remade but long enough to be reheated. He turned to start to leave when he chuckled dryly, "Wait, I better stay here. Is the food OK?" I took a bite and replied that at least it was hot. This seemed good enough to him. He hurried off to one of his many other tables. I thought about asking for a manager but with how the rest of my experience had been, I was worried this only would have just made things even worse. No use beating a dead horse. Or anniversary. When you go to a fine dining restaurant or, in this case, a fine dining Italian steakhouse, there is a certain level of quality food, service, and ambience expected to justify the price. You're paying for an experience. Which I guess, were I a masochist, I would consider this experience well worth the price of admission. But since my Friday nights usually don't include being hooked by the nipples to jumper cables and a car battery, I would not consider the experience to be pleasant nor the prices reasonable. I'm not saying "do better," clearly you're making money-the place was packed. I'm just saying, if you take pride in the quality of the experience that you offer, maybe consider it. Chili's for the Bermuda Run crowd.

Yelp
Fratellis is one of those classic steakhouses - dark, cozy, and lots of filling and good food. We split a bunch of things from crab cakes, thick cut bacon, ribeye, fries, mushrooms, and a wedge salad! Everything was very classic and good. I could use a little bit more creativity but it's solid for what it is!

Yelp
This is an upscale steakhouse not too far away from downtown Winston Salem. The service was absolutely impeccable. We got salad and fried mozzarella apps which were delicious, with a filet with zucchini, mash potatoes. I'm nitpicking but the cut of filet wasn't fantastic and they could have dressed the plate a tad better (the shrimp came like that). But otherwise no complaints, flavor was decent. And again, emphasis on the great service.

Yelp
This was my first time trying this spot in Winston, and honestly, probably my last--unless someone else is picking up the check. I tend to eat pretty clean, and unfortunately, the healthier options here just weren't good. The mussels were extremely fishy, and my husband's $46 fish special was so dry he said it was probably the worst fish he's ever had. On the positive side, my dad's steak was solid, the calamari was tasty, and the house salad had potential (though it was overloaded with cheese). The martini I ordered was also excellent, and the service we received was friendly and attentive. That said, if you're more health-conscious like me, this place really doesn't offer many good options.

Yelp
We reserved a table via Open Table for seven people, the food and table service was good, when we requested our check, we were advised they could not separate the checks, other than dividing it equally which was not an option because we had three couples and three singles, when we spoke with the manager, he outright lied and said he told us of this policy when we booked this reservation with him on the phone, we never spoke directly with the restaurant, again it was booked on line, the manager's attitude toward us clearly indicated he didn't care, we won't return

Yelp
Very much a good time and great place. Expect t to be very much attended to. I didn't know what to expect but it was worth it. The fried Lobster was amazing but the sauce for it took away some of the taste. By itself it was great. I've never gone crazy for lamb chop but theirs was incredible. Seasoned just right and perfectly tender. My ribeye was strongly seasoned and appetizing from start to finish. I faced no problems with wait and the service was great. Great overall experience a little dim on the lighting but a great choice nonetheless.

Yelp
We have visited Fratelli's a few times throughout our years in Winston and it has been somewhat of a mixed bag. I have tried different entree's every time I have visited and found their regular steaks to be good but nothing better than some other more affordable options. I found their chicken parmesan to be delicious but not the best I have tried. This most recent time I tried a steak on special that was wet aged in bourbon mash. This steak was far and away my favorite item I have tried from here. Perfectly cooked and flavorful. Outside of the entree's the restaurant, the Fratelli's salad is fantastic and the deacon tower cake is very good as well. The restaurant is very traditionally decorated and the staff are always friendly, efficient, and prompt. All in all Fratelli's is a great local option for a pretty good meal, however, not all entree's have been a home run!

Yelp
Very relaxed comfortable atmosphere. Large wine selection. Service was just as perfect as the food. Loved it and would recommend and we will be back!

Yelp
I had a reservation 7:45 on a Sunday evening. The service was great!! Got the crab cakes for an appetizer- they were good but the presentation was underwhelming. For my entree I got penne with vodka sauce- it tasted like regular marinara sauce. Good flavor, just not what I was expecting. Glad we tried somewhere new, but probably will choose other steakhouse options in the future.

Yelp
Went in for my birthday dinner and the entire meal was absolute perfection. We started with appetizers that were the perfect portion and they were absolutely delicious. My husband and I got the tomahawk special and it was to absolutely die for. It was a massive tomahawk (40oz bone in) and came with two sides, two salads, and a bread pudding for dessert. Their house salad is one of my favorites and I always look forward to it. The steak was cooked perfectly.

Kayla K.

Yelp
Food and service are always wonderful! I enjoy the bar vibe. But the restaurant is perfect for your fancier meals as well!

Yelp
Waitress wasn't very friendly and was borderline rude and inattentive. She didn't bother to tell us about the specials (while other tables were). Meanwhile, a group was seated in a nearby table after we had placed our order. That group received their order about 10-15 minutes before we got ours. The waitress never offered to refill our drinks. The filet mignon was dry, tough to chew and lacked seasoning. It was seared too much, the outer side of it was hard. For the price, it wasn't worth it. Plating could have been much better also. The quality of the food didn't align with the price and ambiance . Therefore, we didn't get the value we expected out of a place like this. Another waiter had to come out to help our waitress at the end and the place was not even busy.

Yelp
First of all, the service was great. I can't think of the 2 that took care of us, but they were excellent. Also, the drinks and fried mozzarella app were great. Also, since we were celebrating our anniversary, they gave us complimentary dessert (the Krispy Kreme bread pudding). The reason I cant give it more than 2 stars is due to the entrees being severely under seasoned. I ordered the spinalis cut that was about 6 oz. The beef flavor was actually tasty...got it medium and the cook on the beef was ideal, but there wasn't hardly any salt on it. Also, the parmesean fries didn't have any salt either. My wife got the lamb chops and hers didn't have any salt either. See the trend? Also, one of her chops were undercooked (she asked for hers to be cooked well done). All in all, it was a drop off with the food quality and the entrees. Probably would've been better suited just getting apps, but disappointed nonetheless. We've paid them plenty of visits in the past...this was the 1st one in about 3 years and there's a significant difference in how the quality was with their entrees. Will consider other options in the area next time for date nights.

Yelp
As I do with all new to me restaurants, I read reviews, and if available, detailed info about the spot and its owners. In the case of Fratelli's, the caustic comments of one reviewer caught my attention. In two reviews a month apart, he wanted to know why they called this an Italian restaurant, which in my mind leaps to exactly what is an Italian Steakhouse? Turns out this is the epitome of an Italian Steakhouse, even if several of the owners are of Greek ancestry! On the back of the large Italian immigration in the early 1900's, restaurants catering to Italian tastes (pastas, pizza) were opened, especially in lower east side of Manhattan and the near south side of Chicago! As the Italian offerings grew in popularity with non-Italian Americans, these restaurants came under pressure to serve the hunks of red meat so loved by them - the Italian Steakhouse was born - you classify as such by simply serving classic Italian dishes as well as steaks. I have heard much about this steakhouse and its broad menu, including a number of classic Italian dishes. I don't completely trust steakhouses that try to do too much, though admittedly the venerable Ryan's here in Winston has pulled this off for years! This place opened about 10 years ago in the spot that housed one of the locations of Staley's restaurant - one of Winston's earliest upscale restaurants, evolved into a local chain - followed a few years later by Sam's Gourmet (best salad bar EVER, Market Street West would be next - both had great bread and sardines) - both places I still miss! But on to the subject at hand. I had not been to this restaurant before, but the opportunity arose recently - special occasions for family members are cool! On our visit, we ordered several apps - Steakhouse Bacon ($14.29) - Million Dollar Bacon at First Watch - $5.99 for FOUR strips), Calamari ($15.49), and Onion Rings ($14). Obviously little here is inexpensive, so the value aspect will take a hit, even if the quality is there. The entrees we chose were the 12 oz Ribeye ($44.99), the Lasagna ($20.99), and the Chopped Steak ($20.99). All items came with a Fratelli Salad and a side, raise to a Premium Side for $1. We swapped out 2 of the Fratelli Salads for a Caesar and a Greek, so we could try some different items. We chose the Brussel Sprouts, Jumbo Loaded Baked Potato, and Asparagus. While we waited for the food parade to begin, we enjoyed our Adult Beverages, and they were soon joined by the Bread Service with a seasoned dipping sauce - spoiler alert, that very well may be the two best items of the entire meal, seriously! The apps leaked out of the kitchen in a relatively slow drip, which was not a problem on this occasion since we intended on sharing - another time perhaps a party foul! Now to the apps - the Steakhouse Bacon is an overpriced joke at $14.29 - a single slice of bacon, thick or not, I don't care how you choose to sauce it, or put a small amount of crostini and cheese with it. No return! Calamari was simply ok, would rather have that at Village Tavern, pricing is similar, cut and breading is better. Onion Rings much the same, refer you to the ones at Davie Tavern. These 2 are not at all bad, but the quality doesn't support the price! The salads were ok, with the Fratelli's salad being a bit too sweet for me! So we move on to the entrees - and our mixed bag continues, all of it haunted by the pricing! The Lasagne was good, the steak was also good, though a bit overcooked, while the chopped steak was dry and lacked flavor. The sides were ok, with the sprouts being the clear winner. All in all, the food was average to good, but at these prices that falls more than a bit short of a good experience! One of the repetitive themes in a number of reviews was the expression "hit or miss", hard to argue with after this visit.

James H.

Yelp
The steaks are excellent so is the pasta. I highly recommend the family salad and the Krispy Kreme bread pudding for dessert. It is expensive so I won't give it a 5, but I think it's worth it for good service and good food.

Yelp
A very nice restaurant location (with a giant cow outside) which makes for a rather excellent first impression that you'll be eating steak when you come here. The service was prompt. We tried the calamari, chopped salad, and the ribeye. Calamari: Nice and crunchy with reasonable size pieces of calamari to coating ratio. The marinara sauce was nice. Chopped Salad: very savory and pretty great for my carnivorous nature but my partner felt it was a bit too overwhelming and not enough vegetable. It did taste good though and I thought each bite was different which was good. Ribeye: we got a medium rare steak which ended up closer to medium to medium well. The crust was on the softer side which was mildly disappointing but the flavor was pretty good. Wasn't remarkable but nothing majorly flawed with the exception of the doneness. Overall, it was decent but I did not feel it lived up to the hype. It was a decent steakhouse but didn't stick out compared to any other steakhouse.

Yelp
Had reservations for valentines for 730and still had to wait , but let's be honest we was expecting that so we wasn't upset about that at all but a few ppl was , we got seated at around 8pm but they put us all the way in the back by the dumpster lol just kidding it was the outdoor patio it was set up nicely as well but they should have that area for all the ppl that didn't have a reservation but once again we didn't complain or minded to much we was there for a reason to have the biggest and best steak they had. The 2 servers that they had working the outdoor patio area rocked it my drinks was not empty at all they knew the menu and was very helpful I truly hope the ppl that was eating in the main area got treated as good as we did out back lol the food came out fast and hot ,the cocktails came out quick as well but let's get to the food For starters we got They gave us some dinner rolls with olive oil The Fried lobster tail and it was very good 10 out 10 The bacon 8 out 10 FYI we made some sliders out of the lobster &bacon with the rolls Main course We got the Tomahawk with crab cake , grilled shrimp asparagus , mashed potatoes ,garlic spinach and 4 cheese risotto

Yelp
I made a reservation at the beginning of February for the end of the month on a Sunday night at 6:30pm for 2 people. There was a good crowd when we arrived, but not super crowded. We arrived 10 minutes early and they sat us right down at our table. For our appetizer, we ordered the steakhouse bacon ($13.09). It was interesting. Not terrible, but a high price for 1 piece of bacon. The Boursin cheese that came with it was very good. The free bread and bread dipping oil was a nice addition. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Only I ordered a drink and none of the cocktails on their menu interested me so I ordered a dirty Shirley with house vodka ($9.50). It tasted good. For dinner, my husband and I ordered the same exact thing. 7oz Filet Mignon with a side of onion and Parmesan hash browns ($43.99/person). We switched out the fratellis salad with the Caesar salad ($3.49 upgrade/person). We both ordered our steak medium. My steak was more medium rare and my husband's was medium so we ended up switching steaks. The steak was enjoyable, but not enough for me to make a special trip back here for it. The hash browns tasted fine, but we needed to add salt and pepper. For dessert we ordered bread pudding ($7.99). That was super yummy and a great way to end our meal. I also felt the price was reasonable. I gave this place a 4 because of the obvious difference in temperature of the steaks and the fact they aren't as transparent about their pricing. I do think the flavors could have been a little better as well. I will say that we had a great waiter and I appreciated that she never tried to get me to upgrade anything to spend more money. She did well with keeping up with filling my husband's water bc he drinks a lot. Overall, not a bad experience and we were thankful that we had a gift card bc our total before tip and our gift card was $134.33.

Yelp
Been trying to get here for over a year. They did not disappoint. Food was amazing. Steak cooked to perfection. Sides were average but good. Service wasn't spectacular but was not bad. Great place I highly recommend.

Yelp
First time at Fratellis and it was enjoyable. Overall experience was as expected for a higher end steakhouse. Similar to Outwest in Kernersville. Both of our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and well seasoned. Truffle fries are good. Garlic Broccoli was a little bland as if the garlic was tossed in after cooking but still good enough as a side. Our order came out quick and hot. Decent selection of bourbon which is always a plus.

Yelp

Yelp
I'll be the first to admit that I've had both hit and miss experiences at Fratelli's. Sometimes the service has been superb, and sometimes the food has felt disappointing. This past visit was, without a doubt, the most top-tier visit I've had. I always enjoy going at Christmas because the decor is so festive and fun. But unfortunately sometimes they're busy and the service just isn't outstanding. On this visit, we had the server team of James and Dawn, and they truly made our experience. While the food was also the best meal I've had at Fratelli's, our servers made the experience. Thank you so much for outstanding service and a memorable evening from start to finish! Must haves on a visit to Fratelli's: Calamari. It's lemony and cooked perfectly. Always a winner. A cocktail. They have a large cocktail menu, but I personally love their cosmo. Brussels sprouts. The standout side. They're roasted with apples and bacon, perfectly soft and infinitely delicious. Worth the upcharge. Dessert. I can't pick between the Krispy Kreme bread pudding and the bananas foster. Get both. Thank me later. I got the NY strip on this visit and it was cooked to medium rare perfection. I did the add on of a crab cake. It was good, but not the best I'd ever had. I would try the shrimp next time! This was perfect for our girls night out, but it's great for dates, celebrations or special occasions!

I recently attended a conference a Wake Forest. The host of the conference took me to dinner. We were greeted by friendly hostess, and then to our table. Our waitress just so happened to be a Texas girlie like me. She shared the specials which of course I went with the Sea-bass. Why because I always go with the Sea-bass it also came with their staple house salad, which is absolutely delicious. The Sea-bass was absolutely perfect. The crispy hashbrowns with onions in it was a surprising touch that I didn't know. I needed. Although I couldn't take another bite, they insisted on sharing a dessert I chose the banana froster not only was the best piece poundcake I ever had but the candy pretzels wasn't added treat along with the homemade vanilla ice cream. Only I could've brought it back with me. the restaurant itself was quaint not very busy. Most definitely will be back.

Yelp
Great portions, great food, and great service! I've come here twice and both was for a family celebration. My most recent visit was to celebrate my birthday with my parents. My mom made reservations, but came about 10 minutes prior to our reservation time. Although we were prepared to wait, our table was ready for us and we were sat immediately. We were also quickly greeted by our server who was delightful. On this visit we had 2 servers that were equally lovely and attentive. The food is so good and the portions are filling. You most definitely get your money's worth. On my first visit my parents and I shared the crab cake appetizer and I had the Eggplant Parmesan. Both of these dishes I love in general, but especially from Fratelli's! The Eggplant Parm comes with risotto and not pasta, but it complimented it so well. The crab cake appetizer comes with 2 crab cakes and a corn "salsa" that compliments so well. Each entree also comes with a Fratelli's salad which is so very good. It's iceberg lettuce, granny smith apples, dried cranberries, pecans, and their house dressing. I'm allergic to pecans so I always get it without those and they have never accidentally given me pecans either. The flavors all compliment each other well and it's so light and refreshing! On this most recent visit we had the fried lobster appetizer that came with a honey mustard dipping sauce. This was the special for the day, so it is not on their regular menu. For my appetizer I ordered the salmon and it was so good. Cooked to perfection and the pasta cake beneath complimented it so well. My parents have ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, ribeye special with chimichurri, ribeye with loaded potato, and lasagna. I've tasted them all and DELICIOUS! Since we went for my birthday, my server gave me a complimentary bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. The bread pudding was made with Krispy Kreme donuts and my oh my what a treat! Highly recommend and love to go hear for family celebrations! Can't wait for my next visit when I'm in town!

Yelp
My experience at Fratelli's was nothing short of awesome. We started with salads, I had the lasagna and tried the filet as well (perfectly cooked as ordered), and tried the Krispy Kreme bread pudding for dessert. Everything we ordered was exceptional and I imagine that extends to the rest of the menu. The service was great, the staff was super nice and accommodating. We had a very pleasant experience and experienced any of the shortcomings mentioned in other reviews. I didn't pay much attention to the inside of the restaurant but I remember it being up to standards. I highly recommend trying Fratelli's if you haven't!

Yelp
We had an annual Holiday celebration here on the covered and heated patio. It was a catered event with a lot of people. The set up was cozy but not a lot of room to mingle. Appetizers were huge and very good, wasn't sure I could eat my main course. Italian meatballs, Yum! I selected their salmon with lobster sauce and ate every bit, veggies were fresh and seasonal and salad was superb. The best part was the friendly and very prompt service. Just a nod at the wait staff got my drinks refilled. Krispy-kreme bread pudding with vanilla ice cream topped off the evening.

Yelp
Finally got to check this one off my bucket list! This place has been around a long time and generally has a good reputation! We had a Friday night reservation and were seated after about 5 minutes. Staff were fairly friendly. Ambiance was dimmed and the decor was classy and representative of the city's history. They started us off with some drinks and bread. The best bread and olive oil dip combo I've had in town; warm and soft inside but nice crusty edges to soak up the dip! Surely a quality oil topped a salt & spice blend that was rosemary forward with a little heat kick. Service was a little slow, so we skipped apps and ordered our entrees. I order the filet mignon with the house salad and four cheese risotto. The salad came first and is one of the best "house" salads I've had! I love the toppings and flavor combo; tart green apples, sweet cranberries, toasty pecans, creamy feta, with a great dressing! Unfortunately after that, it took over an to get the rest of our food. No one came to update us or tell us sorry the delay. They did refill our drinks and offered more bread, so it made think the wait was typical. Thankful for the bread, but you don't want to fill up when you've got a pricy steak on the way. Finally we got our food. It looked great. Good quality and very flavorful steak. It was undercooked to my request, I ordered medium and it was certainly rare. I actually did not care and did not want to wait any longer to eat. I was surprised that my risotto needed some salt and could have been served hotter. I would pick a different side next time! HusBen had the scampi, and although he was satisfied, it did not impress. We both agreed we would not order that again. This was honestly difficult to rate! When we pay over $100 we have high expectations, and for that price they gotta step it up! I usually would not want to return to a 3 star place, but I'm telling y'all that bread and salad is so good. Maybe next time we'll just have to shoot for a less busy night and not spend so much on the entree. I hope to return and improve this rating.

Yelp
Went there last night for my Birthday. I got a ribeye and a $29 add on Lobster tail. It was the size of a Scallop! My wife ordered the Chicken "Parmigiana". They served a white piece of grilled chicken with sauce and moz, not a chicken cutlet! WTF She sent it back and ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were horrible and the sauce was very, very sweet! We pointed this out to the waiter (who was a nice guy) and he referred to either Greek owners, or cooks, not sure. But if your going to call your restaurant an "Italian" Steakhouse. You need a lesson in Italian cooking!

Yelp
Extremely expensive with the meats (but the quality was unmatched). There were a handful of slightly cheaper, but still relatively expensive, options. Food was incredible. Ambiance was your typical fine dining experience. Service was impeccable. Usually they take reservations but they let me in with a short wait and a short time frame. Hard to go wrong with this place if you can afford it.

Yelp
Nice spot for a fancier/upscale dinner! My friends and I have been wanting to come here for awhile to celebrate something. We tried Valentine's Day but weren't able to make a reservation, so we came recently after finishing a big race. It was a good place for a celebratory meal. We made a reservation for Sunday but still were only able to be seated either at 515pm or 745pm so we went with the later time slot. Our table was ready when we arrived though and our server was nice and attentive with our orders, bread and water refills etc. The bread was delicious- still steaming hot and dangerously easy to fill up on before even looking at the menu. For our entrees, we all got either a filet or sirloin, with fries, brussel sprouts, and veggies as our sides. The house salad that came out first was really tasty and well dressed. I personally had the filet and brussel sprouts with apple and bacon. I ordered my filet medium, but I think it came out slightly more cooked- which wasn't a huge deal. It tasted decent, but honestly not the best cut I've had by any means. I enjoyed the brussel sprouts too, but didn't find too many bacon or apple bits- flavor wise though, still decent. All in all, I'd say this is a great spot for a more elevated (and of course pricier) dining experience and the food as a whole is very good. I think I'd actually be interested in trying some of their pizza and pasta dishes next time! Couple side notes - it's a bit chilly inside and they add 20% gratuity to the bill automatically (we were a party of four).

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for quite a while, and I was finally able to visit this place, and it did not dissapoint . I ordered the lobster bisque soup as a starter and its truly on of the best and creamiest lobster bisques I've had so far in Winston Salem the starter salad was also very good as for my entree I ordered the Ribeye with sauteed vegetables I have to say the steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked to the perfect temperature however the only thing that did throw me off a little bit was the actual cut of the steak it was a bit thinner that what you usually get at a steak house restaurant , my mom order the chicken sandwich with fries and it was very flavorful . I have to say the service here was great our server was very attentive and helpful just the service alone left us wanting to come back! Overall, this is a good place for a date or even family dinners and it just so cozy inside and there's plenty of parking I believe they also have outdoor seating which is great.

Yelp
I have been here many times yet always forget to give a review. We came here for my birthday dinner and had the best time. We had Amazing service and perfect date night ambiance! Wish I had taken more photos of our food! Always love their salad and bread. Instead of steak this time I opted for their chicken fettuccine Alfredo and wow it was huge portion and so delicious. I also did not get a chance to take a picture of the delicious Krispy Kreme bread pudding dessert we got for my birthday. My husband enjoyed everything as well. He had a filet and mashed potatoes. We will likely be coming back for his birthday next month!

Yelp
Appetizers were great, service could have been better. We ordered steak specials that were so overpriced that the waitress should have listed the prices when discussing them. I was disappointed by that and not sure I would return due to that.

Yelp
Amazing service and romantic atmosphere. The food was delicious. Salad was fresh and the dressing is like nothing you've ever had!

Yelp
Our first visit to Fratellis, had heard such great reviews. We made a reservation 1+ week in advance. We were greeted & served by friendly & accommodating staff all evening. We ordered the Calamari w/limoncello aioli as our app & it was delicious! Salads came with our entrees, the Caesar Salad was average but the Fratellis salad was unique w/cranberries, feta cheese & nuts- scrumptious. For entrees we ordered the filet mignon(mashed potatoes), NY Strip (baked potato), the Cowboy Ribeye special (mashed potatoes) & the Chilean Seabass special (risotto). All entrees were delicious, the sides were ok, nothing special. If there is one criticism it was the surprise, while there were no prices for the steaks, when the bill came the Cowboy Ribeye was $100, almost double the cost of the other entrees. Nice touch for dessert was a surprise birthday dessert. We will return but will be more cautious about prices in the future.

Yelp
It is ok, but overpriced for what you get and quality. This is our third time visiting and James, our server, was the best thing about the experience. This time I had the filet and it was under cooked for how I ordered. Last time I had the Chicken Marsala and it was flavorless. The first time I had a pizza and it was ok but nothing extraordinary. The calamari appetizer was pretty good. Salad is way too sweet for my preference.

Yelp
Recently has a great experience at Fratelli's! The first time I went I wasn't a huge fan of the steak, but had delicious chicken Parmesan. This time I stuck with the Italian portion of the menu and ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. It was definitely the right move as it was delicious! It's hard to go out and get good Italien because nothing beats my moms Sunday sauce. However, this was pretty darn good! The Fratelli's salad is also incredible no matter what you pair it with.

Yelp
Food was excellent and well prepared! However, we were very disappointed by the service we received by the staff. I made our reservation months in advance and noted from the beginning that requested a booth and we were celebrating my mom's birthday. However, during the duration of our meal, they did not acknowledge my mom's birthday whatsoever, and they tried to seat us at a standard table and not a booth which we had to correct them on. Even throughout the entire meal, our waitresses did not even offer any additional refills of our beverages nor did they even offer to check in on how our meal was. It took them so long to return to our table we didn't even bother ordering any after-dinner drinks which we were planning to have. And the worst of all was when our check was returned after payment, our waitress slammed it on the table, rolled her eyes as we said thank you and walked away....... What a "great" way to celebrate a birthday..... Very disappointing. My father spoke with the manager to consult this, and the manager only offered apologies, nothing else to make up for the behavior by both waitresses...... We don't know if we will be back.

Yelp
Always forget about this place ! But in a last minute where shall we eat decision . This place won. Definitely a little higher end. On a Sunday night there was a 30 minute wait! So we sat at the bar where they provide full service. Great bartender and server and we got everything in good time and boy was everything delicious! Started with just a glass of Prosecco. The bread service is excellent . The warm bread soft and chewy ! Excellent olive oil. Then we shared the special which was grilled corvina , a lovely light white flaky fish. Which came with grilled shrimp,, asparagus and mashed potatoes and a lemon piccata sauce. Absolutely delicious. My friend also ordered the eggplant parmigiana which could literally feed 3 people . The spinach risotto that came with that was so good as was the dish itself. The salad they serve is a signature for this place. Cranberries and pecans and just a great mix with a lovely dressing. You can definitely make a meal out if it. Of course dessert ! Is a must and although I know we would have loved the Krispy Kreme bread pudding we went with the chocolate molten lava cake. Warm, gooey chocolate heaven ! With vanilla ice cream, this was a perfect end to a great meal . Frattelis is a classic establishment with a nice bar and great seating area. A great place for. A special occasion. Glad I came back here after a very long time !

Yelp
December 15, 2024 I along with four friends with a reservation were seated in an area I would call the 'Wind Tunnel'. This is a table placed by the swinging door of the outdoor area which is enclosed with plastic and heated by tower heaters. A lot of traffic in and out of the outdoor area, wait staff carrying trays of food and taking orders were in and out of this door the entire time. While we didn't mind that so much, every time the door opened, we received a gush of cold air and so much so that we all had to eat with our coats on. The food was ok but it's hard to believe the restaurant would seat anyone in this wind tunnel. All of us became sick after eating there, not a stomach sickness but evidently there were a lot of germs blowing over us the entire time we ate. This is not good care of their customers and I will never eat there again.

Yelp
Have eaten at the bar a couple of times over the years. I don't particularly like the environment. This is an upscale steak house and bar feels like an open neighborhood bar. I just don't feel the bar area matches what Fratelli's is billing themselves as. Wine was half price but the appetizers were expensive.

Yelp
In short: food 4/5, everything else: 1/5. Arrived promptly for a 7:00 reservation. Was told that they were just waiting on getting the table ready and we would just have to wait a few minutes; no problem. They suggested we grab a drink while we wait so I grabbed a water from the bar. That should have been my first red flag: water glass dirtied with a red sticky/juice residue. Waited another 15 minutes and went to inquire about the status of our table. We were told they were waiting on a table to get up but couldn't offer any other specifics. Another 20 minutes go by and we see some larger parties sat. I understand they had their tables reserved as well. However, they should honor all reservations. It is your fault if you offer too many reservations at a certain time. It is also your fault if you seat too many walk ins when you know you have reservations on the books. Don't promise what you can't provide. Finally, at 7:45 we were seated. Glasses and plates still wet, and poor attention to detail. A member of our party spoke to the manager as we were taken to the table to express our dissatisfaction and he offered a round of drinks. Wonderful. Moments later, he came over to say he had some appetizers on the way for us. Even better. However, we didn't get to pick and one of our party was allergic to calamari and the other vegetarian so they couldn't enjoy the sausage & peppers or the fried calamari. Those that could eat it really enjoyed it. We ordered the fried cheese (amazing!) and had plenty of bread and herbed olive oil. All four of us had the Fratellis salad and it was incredible. Not your typical "house" salad but I am so glad this is what was included on the entrees. The 3 steaks were cooked to the correct temperatures. Our fourth entree lagged 20 minutes, and everyone else was done by the time the flatbread came (which was surprising it took that much longer than a medium well ribeye). Oddly, we had two servers that evening that were working together; not in a training sense but a team. However, the service was abysmal. Only came by to drop food and even then it wasn't but a few times. No one to check temperatures of steak or refill beverages. There were several times where stands with trays of dirty plates sat in the walkway by our table. When the check was dropped, we were charged for the first round of drinks even though it was offered earlier. While we appreciate the appetizers, it was somewhat of a misplaced gesture. I understand off nights happen but this just missed the mark in every single way. The food was stellar but the front of house severely disappointed. Maybe try a weeknight or sit at the bar? A takeout order even.

Yelp
I love the giant cow outside and the steakhouse decor of Fratellis. The staff is very warm and welcoming. The service is top-notch and 5* all the way. The staff were always on top of everything, letting no glass of water or tea ever hit bottom. The food, however, is firmly 3*. For our starter, we had the calamari, which itself was tasty, but we found the tomato jam for it off-putting. For dinner, we had the lasagna with meatball, the Ribeye, and the split bone Cowboy. Sadly, none of them were exceptional. The steaks were all undercooked. We ordered one medium and the other medium-rare. Both came out the same, rare to the point of mooing. Also, the cuts of meat just didn't feel like they were worth the price point. I love a good ribeye, but this was just mediocre. On a positive note, the fresh baked bread and seasoned dipping oil are delicious. We were too full to try any desserts. I have read that this place is hit or miss. Tonight was definitely a miss for us.

Yelp
We had reservations a few weeks ago for our anniversary on a Friday night. They were definitely packed and waited for a bit in our table. The FOH manager (or someone in leadership) definitely let the other workers know how disappointed she was with the wait-it was a bit awkward. We had two servers, but the service seemed to be a bit awkwardly staggered. I started with the lobster bisque, that was delicious. It was the perfect consistency of taste and cream. I ordered the chicken Marsala for my main course and had enough to take home for 2 additional meals. It's definitely a good date night spot!

Yelp
VERY DISAPPOINTING! I met my friends at Fratellis for a girls night out. We generally pick what we think are high end restaurants for this occasion. We got there early and were seated right away. We started with cocktails, then appetizers and finally our meal. The food took a long time to get to us but we were visiting and we are pretty patient so that was ok. The food came and was mediocre at best. Mine lacked flavor. Now with all of that said, I still would have not given them this unfavorable review, however, after we finished our meal the manager Zack came to our table, asked us how our meal was and then proceeded to ask us to leave because he needed the table for another group of people! Are you kidding me... RUDE! I was humiliated. This has never happen to me and it should have not happened tonight. I will not be going back.
