Frazier's Long and Low is the quintessential Austin dive bar, mixing retro vibes with tasty bar bites like smash burgers and wings, all served with a side of friendly chatter.
"The burger at Frazier’s is basically a McDonald’s cheeseburger that went to culinary school. Think smashed patties and steamed potato buns, plus all the usual fixings. It’s small enough that you can probably put down a couple, though we’d advise you to save some room for a side of frizzle fries—basically the lovechild of a curly fry and a potato wedge. And at just over $3 a burger, it’s hard not to find yourself wishing you were at Frazier’s instead of the drive-thru." - nicolai mccrary, matthew jacobs
"Stepping into Frazier's Long & Low feels a little like stepping into a bar from the ‘70s, complete with Coors lanterns, a retro color scheme, and “Cold Beer” signs decorating the walls. We’ve talked at length about the burger at this Riverside bar, but when we want something just a little bit bigger (and messier), we go for the chopped cheese. Basically a chopped-up cheeseburger served on a hoagie roll, it’s hearty enough to soak up all the $2 Coors Banquets you just put down until late in the night. It’s also one of the only spots in town where we’ve found this New York deli staple. What to get: Vinny’s Chopped Cheese" - nicolai mccrary
"Open daily from noon to 2 a.m., Frazier’s serves up classic dive bar food with all dishes under $12, including its hefty patty melt, a $6 corn dog, and several vegan options. The $4 Frizzle fries — a combination of a curly fry and a wedge fry — are a diner-favorite, and get even more decadent with a $4 add on of spicy homemade cheese sauce. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas." - Erin Russell, Nadia Chaudhury
"The easygoing Riverside bar’s chicken wings come by the eight. Diners can pick one or two sauces from a list that includes lemon-pepper, XXX Buffalo (aka very spicy), and more — with ranch or blue cheese on the side. There are indoor and outdoor dine-in services." - Nadia Chaudhury
"The East Riverside bar’s brunch includes the intriguing Flapstick corn dog, plus fried green tomatoes, little pancakes, and more. Brunch hours are from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Nadia Chaudhury
