Google
A serendipitous find. In town for only one day and this treasure appeared on a Google search for "restaurants near me". Everything about our experience exceeded expectations. My son is a picky eater and the chef was kind enough to go off the menu and make a dish my son actually loved. I ordered the seafood paella. There was seafood in every bite, and I ate the whole thing.... So good! A must when in the area!!!

The service was extremely excellent! The drinks were awesome. The food wasn’t too bad, but for the price it could’ve been a little better. But I’ll definitely be returning to try something different next time.

Keep Freda's in mind for your next special occasion! Their prime rib and creamy mashed potatoes are delicious; we even had the pleasure of meeting Freda herself. The seafood selection, from the shrimp cocktail to the lobster tails, was expertly prepared and indeed highlighted the culinary talent at Freda's. It's a place worth visiting for any celebration!

This was our first time visiting. The food was really good (Except for the portion is on the smaller side). But our waiter seemed like he was in a hurry, he took my husband’s plate while he was still eating his fries, and brought the check directly instead of asking if we wanted dessert. Other than that everything was great, will come back again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Freda's Seafood Grille in Austin, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant's ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy, dark atmosphere that set the perfect tone for a special occasion. The food was simply outstanding. I started with the delectable stuffed mushrooms, which had a light, flavorful batter that complemented the savory filling perfectly. For my main course, I opted for the house special red snapper, and it did not disappoint. The fish was expertly prepared, with a beautifully seasoned crust and a tender, flaky interior. The accompanying risotto was creamy and perfectly cooked. The service was also top-notch. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. They even took the time to explain the specials and ensure we had a thorough understanding of the menu. What truly impressed me, however, was the value for money. Despite the high-quality ingredients and exceptional preparation, the prices were very reasonable, making Freda's Seafood Grille a fantastic choice for a special occasion or a night out. I highly recommend Freda's Seafood Grille to anyone looking for a truly memorable dining experience in Austin. The food, service, and ambiance are all exceptional, and I can't wait to return.

Ate here tonight for my first time and all I can say is get here fast if you want good seafood in Central Texas. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff super friendly and helpful, my waiter Rob was always around with a drink refill, awesome suggestions on food and just all around nice guy. I had the shrimp diablos appetizer- Best I have ever had, not sure if it was the shrimp or the remoulade sauce either way best ever. I had the Bourbon Street Pasta for dinner and it was great. It had the perfect amount of spice, lots of crawfish and shrimp. I will definitely return next time I am in town.

I've been wanting to try Freda's Seafood Restaurant for sometime. I will probably revisit. Their cornbread is sweet and probably can pass as a dessert. But really good with their butter. For an appetizer, we enjoyed their Cabernet Sauvignon marinated crab stuffed mushrooms. We opted not to have a salad, something I will have next time. We also ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon for the evening. For dinner my wife ordered their Red Snapper Crab Oscar with Mushroom Risotto, blue lump crab Oscar style. I managed to steal a couple of bites. Wonderful flavor. I also ordered Bacon Wrapped Sea Scallops with Mushroom butter, fried onion crisp, red potatoes. I was disappointed in the sea scallops. I don't know if they were frozen or if they didn't cook them long enough. The texture was a little mushy. We still ate them, but not what I was expecting. At the end of the meal, we were full and satisfied. We will return to try the lobster and other dishes.

Yelp
My husband and I came here as a last minute on Friday nightl Good thing i checked their website and secured a reservation thru Open Table with in the hour. When we got here, there was many people waiting to be seated. We were early, but hostess said we would be seated close to our time (which was only like 15 min), But, waiting in in that area, was hard, as the piano player man was trying to crack jokes inbetween his songs. I have heard better singing at a hotel bar! I was glad we were not sitting in there. When we finally did get seated, and we sat down, we were just up one step and at table, still with in ear shot of him. But, luckily, I think "happy hour" was over and we were able to enjoy reading over the menu. I think I wanted everything on the menu! It all looked good! We decided to not do apps, since we wanted to get the salads. Our waiter, Paul, was nice, but just could not smile! My husband tried to joke with him...and got nothing! Both of us started with a martini. He had a Cucumber Martini (very good and light) and I had the Peach Martini, which unlike his, they bring the shaker, and pour table side into your martini glass. Since he was driving, he stopped there...I had two more of those delicious drinks with dinner! Now my husband does not like, what he calls "weeds" in his salad. He only like iceburg or romaine. So, most of time he will opt for a Ceasar salad (as no surprises on what type of green was used). So, obviously, his was good. But, my salad was very good. I had the house salad which had 'greens', cranberries, light cheese, and dressed lightly with my choice of balsamic vinergrette! It was very good! My husband, went with his stand by "ribeye" steak and baked potato. Since I could not decide! (and will come back and try others), I went with the "special", which is my "kryptonite" when it comes to fish. As soon as he said the words "Chillean Sea Bass" with broccollini and shrimp. I knew that was what I was having. Both meals were "melt in mouth" very good, once we got them. There seemed to be a delay in the kitchen with getting the food out. Could not believe, as it took about an half hour to just get our salad! We asked our guy who brought us our salads (who was not our waiter), what took so long, and he said it was the kitchen which was backed up. Our waiter was actully prompt in filling our water and getting my extra martinis. We were stuffed, so we orderd a key lime pie to go. We ate it later at home (and not much "key lime" flavor to it). We were saddened, as rest of meal was great. We will be back to try other great things on the menu!

Yelp
Food is excellent! Great service in a nicely casual setting. Can't wait to go back! I have eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. The stuffed mushrooms are a must have and the Rainbow Trout is delicious! The bar drinks are also good (though pricey, but not watered down). This is my go-to seafood restaurant in the Cedar Park/N. Austin area.

Yelp
Back again! Great food and service . Last time we had Ross, a young great server we enjoyed! Very helpful! This time Jack served us and was very attentive; delicious pecan crusted Tilapia lunch! Awesome!! Full, taking some home. Also the Pine nut crusted trout with shrimp and capers was great! Loved it! Always a great meal and friendly service!

Yelp
Highly recommend a reservation. We came on a Saturday evening with no reservation and called and was told there was no wait. We were 10minutes away and went straight over and upon arrival they ended up seating us in the bar - due to lack of tables. In the future I'll make sure to reserve an hour or so a head of time so that we can sit in the dining area. Having said that the bar had a live musician playing and he was wonderful! Our Server was great, told us about the special, explained things on the menu and didn't rush us. All of the food served was very good - nothing was under cooked, or lacked seasoning. Having said that we did have our favorites. We preferred the Stuffed mushrooms over the fried pickles. The mushrooms had more flavor and a lighter batter. The pickles had a thicker batter and because they weren't bite size were messier to eat. Entre wise, the house special that night was their red snapper and we all agreed it was by far our favorite, well seasoned, the risotto was great and everything was perfection. If you're looking for a nice restaurant, I would highly recommend, just know it is a little pricey -- but worth every penny.

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant with amazing service and bar. Great ambiance with plenty of space and TVs for sports. Can't wait to go back to be greatly pleased by this entire restaurant.

Yelp
We were greeted right away with a pleasant greeting. Escorted to our table and very soon greeted by our server, Jay Cee. she was perfect in service and timing. welcomed us to Fredas. Explained the special which was Swordfish. wife had it and I took a bite. Delicious! I had the shrimp and fish etofoe (can't spell it). It was a very nice evening. Enjoyed it very much oh all the appetizers are good. We have had all of them. I think they have the best appetizers anywhere. I recommend this place.

Yelp
My family and I went to Freda's for their NYE event and everything was OUTSTANDING. From service to the food, you won't be disappointed. Recap: - our server Hunter was a sweetheart and fast to make recommendations and ask if we were happy with everything. - the shrimp cocktail and calamari were some of the best I've had. Pro tip: ask for the cocktail sauce if you're only getting the calamari. I preferred to dip it in that! - the gumbo was AMAZING! I've only had gumbo one other time, and this solidified my liking for it. - last but not least, the Orange Ruffy was *wow*. I'm not really a fish person, but the ruffy may have changed my mind. It was cooked to perfection, and the bed of risotto it was on was mouth-watering. NYE crowd was crazy, but they spaced all the tables out well, and we were able to enjoy our company. Well done, Freda's!

Yelp
This is a top-notch option for dining in northwest Austin. This place far exceeded our expectations for our first visit. Upon arrival we were greeted by three friendly staff members including our wonderful waiter, Maxwell. The first thing he asked was whether we had visited before. After we said we hadn't, he gave us a brief history of the establishment and then described the two specials. We asked his favorite dishes which also helped us decide what to order. I ordered the Trout Alexander special which was phenomenal. My wife had the grilled shrimp which she described as one of the best meals she has had in her ten years in Austin. Felicia had the filet and loved how tender and flavorful it was. For dessert, they both enjoyed the key lime pie and white chocolate bread pudding. Throughout the meal, Maxwell was attentive, friendly, personable, and efficient. We can't wait to return and show this place off to the rest of our family and friends.

Yelp
Freda's is a must-visit for any celebration. Their prime rib and creamy mashed potatoes are mouthwatering, and we even had the pleasure of meeting Freda herself. The seafood selection, from shrimp cocktail to lobster tails, was expertly prepared and showcased the culinary talent at Freda's. Really good service and ambiance.

Yelp
More upscale than my other selections, Freda's delivers outstanding seafood and steak selections. Service is gracious and attentive. Dining on their beautiful patio deck is really nice! Fans keep things cool. Happy hour 4-6 is a really great deal.

Von K.

Yelp
Very disappointing visit! Huge black German shepherd on the patio aggressively barking at both patrons and staff. How credibly rude to subject patrons but most importantly the many staff members that clearly feared their safety! They should've been asked to leave immediately after the first act of aggression when anyone passed the table! UNACCEPTABLE! However, the crawfish was amazing!

Miguel T.

Yelp
I truly wish I could give Freda's SEVEN stars, no...make that TEN!!! In fact I'll tout the fact they were named best seafood restaurant in Austin, sometime back in 2023!!! The service and ambiance is amazing!!! Freda, the owner is an absolute delight! Her daughter, Crystal is as much as a gem as her mom! My wife and I have been going here since our first date, when I proposed and if you haven't tried a restaurant wine dinner option - yeah, WOW!!!!!! Portion sizes are fantastic and the consistency to how delicious everything is there will keep us coming back every chance we get!!! I couldn't recommend Freda's more, especially if you want to have some amazing food!!! Oh yeah, the corn bread and butter they bring out is absolutely, deliciously addicting - you'll see!

Yelp
I just tried the lunch/brunch menu here. I got the crab cake (off the regular menu) to start. It is very lightly breaded with huge chunks of crab and very little filler. It's served with a bit of a jalapeño chipotle mayo on top. It had good flavor and a light crunch to the breading on top & bottom. I got the brunch shrimp & grits for my main. The gravy had bit of bacon and the dish was topped with a sunny side up egg. Overall I enjoyed this dish but I wasn't a fan of the tomato chunk in the gravy. Also, the bread was a bit garlic forward which sometimes overwhelmed my next bite. The portion size was fairly big. My lunch mate got the salmon salad based on the waiter's recommendation. She mentioned she likes salmon but finds it too fishy sometimes. He suggested the salad saying that the raspberry pecan vinaigrette was a good balance to the salmon. She wholeheartedly agreed finding the salmon cooked to her liking. The dressing was served on the side so she could control how much she wanted. We didn't order drinks but they appear to have a nice wine selection. We ended our meal with the white and dark chocolate mousse cake. The dark chocolate ganache was balanced against the mousse. I was a bit disappointed in the overall texture, likely due to it having come out of the cooler a few minutes before it was brought to our table. Freda's is a deceptively large restaurant and wasn't too busy when we arrived just after noon on a Sunday. Despite the size, it wasn't overly loud. The wait staff was attentive without hovering. They cleared plates quickly and check to make sure the food was to our liking shortly after it came to our table. I think that Freda's is worth a visit. Their quality seafood dishes would make for a nice night or brunch out with friends.

Yelp
This is a great date night spot. The ambiance is nice & the staff is very pleasant. The Rockefeller oysters are my absolute favorite. Overall a good eat in the lakeline area.

Yelp
Had high hopes for this place. I was not very impressed. We had a large party so I was expecting service to be somewhat slower than normal. Ordered a drink twice and had to remind them both times. Food come out lukewarm at best, nothing to extravagant about anything I tried. Wife and son felt the same about their dishes. Baked potato wasn't hot, not sure how you can mess that up. Over $200 with tip for two adults and a child. Wife had one drink, I had three beers. None of us ordered anything super expensive. Burgers are $22 and a "choice" 8 ounce filet with a potato is $49. Son and I opted for the seafood paella and wife had grilled shrimp. Wouldn't recommend either of those. Really disappointed for the price. Would have been much happier at a place like Joe's Crab Shack even if it costs the same.

Yelp
I rarely - if ever - fill out yelp reviews, especially not after stuffing my face to the point of mental exhaustion. However, I will come out of yelp review hiding to share the following. In my 42 years of life, I've eaten at a lot of restaurants. I've worked at restaurants in various capacities, and know first-hand how to run a successful business. You have to make sure you have the right people in the right seats. From the moment we arrived for dinner tonight, we instantly felt welcome. The ambience is inviting and the staff is friendly. We had the great fortune of having Eryn as our server. My parents are STILL talking about her. She was one of the best servers we've ever experienced. Pleasant, kind, great energy, smart, and beautiful inside and out. The food was unbelievable. Everything was made with the freshest of ingredients and I ate my weight in cornbread. The bisque was heavenly and filled with gigantic crab. No skimping here. They also made my birthday special. We decided as a family that Freda's is our new favorite celebration spot. Excited to attend one of these famous Thursday night wine pairings and hope to meet THE FREDA herself! What an extraordinary woman with an extraordinary story. Why this place doesn't have 19299393933 perfect five star reviews is beyond me. If you're still reading this and haven't yet gone blind, put your phone up right now, grab your car keys, and get to Freda's asap. Eat all the things.

Tarann S.

Yelp
Celebrated a birthday here. Food, drinks and service were great!! I had the lobster and shrimp bisque as a starter and the paella for my entree. Absolutely delicious. Others ordered orange roughy, crab stuffed salmon and fried platters for their dinner selections. Everything was delicious. There was a limited menu since it was New Year's Eve but the choices were great. There is plenty of seating on the inside. We were placed in more of a private area since we had a larger party. I appreciate management for that accommodation. Several in my party had not eaten here before. All were impressed. Highly recommend dining here.

Josh D.

Yelp
First time going to the restaurant for brunch and it was a great experience. The food tasted really good and the service was excellent. I definitely plan to come back soon.

Kammie L.

Yelp
I've seen this place advertised on signs around town a few times, now that I've moved in this area I drive by this place all the time and today I decided to stop for lunch. I had the Trout & Blackened Shrimp plate. It was absolutely delicious. The flavors were there! I would have liked the Shrimp to have a more blackened taste but the sauce that was on it had a nice subtle horseradish zing. The waiter was very nice & awesome. Food was quick. The atmosphere I was not prepared for. I was in gym clothes and the Hostess was ever so welcoming, I was very conscious of what I was wearing into the dining room, she completely made me feel comfortable about the situation sat me right down. Very nice people. Very nice Place. I'm glad I found a new place to dine. Day or Night!

Peggy W.

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance were great. Great value for the price. Love the quiet dark atmosphere.

Rich W.

Yelp
It's all very good here. Some of my favorites include the crab cakes, which are the best I've had anywhere (cakes are mostly crab), scallops (huge), shrimp (also huge), lobster, snapper, ribeye, gumbo, bread pudding, and crème brûlée. The service has been great every time and the place is rather large so the ambience is dealer's choice: bustling on the inside or at the bar, quiet on the patio, or private in banquet rooms.

Edgar S.

Yelp
This place was a really good. We enjoyed the meals we had. It is a bit pricey and has an upscale feel to it. The service was really good. We will defiantly come back .

Emily G.

Yelp
Nestled in Austin,tx, Freda's provided an unforgettable Valentine's Day experience. The prime rib was cooked to perfection, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes. The Bartenders were amazing and we met Freda her self. The seafood offerings, from shrimp cocktail to lobster tails, showcased freshness and culinary expertise, making it a must-visit destination for any occasion.

Yelp
Went here for my 16-yr Anniversary, and was rather disappointed. First, the place is pretty nice. Clean dining area. Layout is interesting, however, but since we had a booth, it was irrelevant. As for the service, the host and wait staff were really nice and friendly. Our waitress forgot our order of Mac & Cheese, however, but was otherwise very pleasant. The food was a "hit & miss." My wife simply loved her meal - which was the Orange Roughy. I ordered a steak and a cluster of crab legs, and it was not as expected - especially for the price I paid. While the presentation was great, the Snow Crab Legs were dry/overcooked, and the steak was simply way under-cooked for what I ordered - which was Medium-Well. By definition, medium-well steaks are cooked so that the inside is 'slightly' pink. My steak, however, came back almost RARE. Simply red throughout the inside to the point that the juice on the plate was reddish-brown. (More reddish than brown) It was to the point that I took it home to cook it longer to be more to my preference. The asparagus was #delish! And my Courvosier was served just how I wanted. Oh, and the Dark/White Chocolate Mousse Cake was fantastic! For over $90/plate, I expected more. I'm uncertain I'll return.

Tom R.

Yelp
Great restaurant with great food, presentation and service. When you go, ask for Jacob!! Definitely on his game. Ordered off menu. Not a problem. I recommend the appetizers snd pasta dishes. Bow tie pasta was a great addition!!

Glenn S.

Yelp
Excellent seafood! The redfish and paella were excellent. Great outdoor seating! Server was excellent.

Haley T.

Yelp
We went for the easter buffet and it was all okay, just okay. I look forward to trying it again and hopefully having a different experience when not on a holiday. The service was not great, but the ambiance was nice. The place has a lot of potential to be a top pick for holiday brunch, but I think they should ditch the buffet style brunch option for holidays and probably stick with what is tried and true. Excited to try again sometime soon!

Steven L.

Yelp
Apologies for forgetting to take pictures. Overall not super impressed. Came here because my mom wanted to treat me to a nice meal for my birthday. It was a weekend lunch and it was pretty empty inside overall, although it was a dreary and wet day. My mom and I split two entrees: Pine Nut Crusted Trout - decent, fish was cooked well, risotto was just okay. Passable for a nice restaurant, but nothing special. Gulf Coast Paella - Nothing about the paella stood out. If you said it was rice stir fried with seafood, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference really. The restaurant just kind of felt like a nicer Red Lobster, but they didn't have the cheddar bay biscuits to reach Red Lobster standards.

Jezdel T.

Yelp
This is our first time here and I was able to smell something upon entering (like when you clean with a dirty rag). Anyways. I ordered a dozen gulf coast oysters and they were not the freshest I've had (Sweetwater Oyster Bar is way fresher) Food was served fast and hot, I was very impressed. The steak was cooked perfectly. Overall, it's nice but I think I have found my oyster place (Sweetwater Oyster Bar)

Ray T.

Yelp
Terrific Lunch: 6 of us had a great lunch here yesterday. Ross was our waiter and did terrific. The food was the best tasting and the most fresh we have had in a long time. We are not from Austin but this place rocks. Ross said they have been open for over 20 years. This place has a great quiet atmosphere. Anything seafood on the lunch menu is great. We had the trout and shrimp, the shrimp scampi, the new orleans shrimp and the fried seafood platter and each sharing some w others. Then we rocked it and split a slice of key lime pie. The best i ever had and i am comparing to Key West, Tampa and New Orleans. This place was just fantastic!

T S.

Yelp
Brunch today was great! Some of us ordered off the brunch menu, others ordered off the main menu. It was all great and so was the service!

Bill T.

Yelp
I was disappointed with the mother's day menu before we ordered but everything was amazing there. Bravo chefs!

Brenda B.

Yelp
Food and service were amazing. Great pricing. The server made sure our courses were spread out and checked on us regularly. The seafood fondue was so rich and hearty. Blackened redfish dish and spicy seafood pasta were delicious and cooked just right. The ambiance is always date night low lighting in that place with a pianist on the weekends. Absolutely loved it.

Rodasha S.

Yelp
My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted nothing more than good food, good drinks and pleasant service. Because we're brand new to Austin, we had no clue where to go. I found this local gem and needless to say, our expectations were exceeded! From the time we walked through the door until the time we walked out, the customer service was exceptional. The hostess was super sweet and sat us swiftly. Our waitress, Sadie, was very informative, attentive, and gave great menu suggestions. The food was simply amazing! We started off with the shrimp and crawfish fondue; chef's kiss! We both got the crab stuff salmon with a lobster tail on the side. The salmon was so moist and flavorful. The lobster may have been the best I've had in a while. To top it off, the restaurant gave us a complimentary dessert (crème brûlée) for our anniversary, which was an unexpected pleasantry. I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I absolutely would!

Jeremie T.

Yelp
Place is def a good spot for seafood. The atmosphere was not too crazy after lunch time. Service was great and the food was even better.

Jack K.

Yelp
My birthday celebration was complete with outstanding service, delicious food, and great music that was just the right volume. I look forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Good seafood brunch but great white chocolate bread pudding! Worth it for the dessert!!!

Yelp
When my dad comes to town, we LOVE trying a new seafood spot. This time, we tried Freda's because I had heard a lot of good things about it. I made a reservation on OpenTable and was SO excited to try it. For starters, Freda's has solid parking. Lots of room in a wide parking lot and that was a great start. The overall theme is very much a large cabin theme. When we walked in, we gave our name for the reservation and were immediately sat. We ordered the calamari to start and some water. While we waited for the calamari, we got the cutest little cornbread with butter. It was like any traditional cornbread and it definitely filled my belly! The calamari arrived within 15 or so minutes and it was fantastic! It was perfectly breaded and perfectly fried. For the entree, I ordered the seafood platter and this is where the 3 stars comes in. It tasted like there was either none or very little seasoning on the seafood. It was good, but I couldn't help but think about the amount I was paying for something I really didn't enjoy. I don't think I'll come back despite the calamari being awesome. Great to try, but unfortunately not for me.

Yelp
For my birthday, my partner and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner out to new-to-us Freda's Seafood Grille. We often go to the same 5 restaurants to eat out or pick up, so we wanted to try something new. This was my first visit to Freda's, but it won't be my last. The service was wonderful, the outdoor seating was ample, and the food was delicious. As a seafood lover, there were so many amazing options on the menu that it was truly difficult to decide what to eat. I ordered the pine nut crusted trout served with risotto and asparagus, and my partner ordered the shrimp and crawfish étouffée and added the fried catfish. They were both outstanding with ample portions to bring home for lunch the next day. My favorite was actually the side of crawfish mac and cheese. OMG, it was divine. My only critiques were that the prosecco I first ordered was super flat. So the waitress quickly switched me to a yummy mojito. The lobster and shrimp bisque did not have any seafood chunks in it, so I would skip that next time and try something different as a starter (or not because the portions were so big). I also wished the food was just a bit hotter coming out, but otherwise, it was a delightful evening. I also thought it was a special touch from Open Table and Freda's for my birthday that they brought me a tasty crème brûlée on the house with a candle to make a wish. We will definitely be back to Freda's to try more options and enjoy safe, socially distanced patio seating during the pandemic.

Mary B.

Yelp
Had lunch today for the first time in the restaurant. The whole experience from beginning to end was wonderful. The hostess was prompt and polite. We told Jaycee it was our first time there and she gave us a nice Bio of the restaurant. We told her that we were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and she did everything to make it special. The wine, the food and the dessert were all great. We will definitely recommend this establishment and plan to return. Thank you Jaycee for making our day one to remember.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous!!! First time here. We went for my daughter's birthday. Started with fried pickles and stuffed mushrooms for the girls. Great flavor. I was having a hard time deciding on my entree. If sea bass is on the menu, I usually order it. However, I went with the special for the night, orange roughy with mushrooms risotto and asparagus. I was super pleased. Ok ... I was VERY pleased.. My meal was EXCELLENT. The fish was not over cooked, it tasted fresh and fabulous. The risotto was so flavorful. I will definitely be going back to try something else. What a great evening. Note: great atmosphere, nice ambiance and well appointed restaurant.

Yelp
A small group of ladies (6) and I went for lunch today at Freda's. We had reservations on a Tuesday at 11:30 and although our table was not ready, we still expected to be seated in a reasonable amount of time. We had to ask when our table would be ready after waiting for quite a while. After being seated for at least 20 minutes, Nobody bothered to take our orders until we approached the desk and asked that someone please take our orders. It was not a busy day for the restaurant so we saw no excuse for being ignored. As far as the food, some thought the food was fine, but those who ordered salmon thought it was fishy-tasting and watery. There are six ladies and their families that will never again darken the door of Freda's. A restaurant is only as good as their service and their food needs to be consistently good.

Yelp
As per usual I was hungry and in the area and wanted a crab cake. I decided to eat here based on one of the pictures that I saw on Yelp, which was a crab meat stuffed salmon-- so I already knew what I wanted when I walked in the door. The food was good but the salmon was a little overcooked, but it still had a decent flavor. My server was pleasant and everything that came with my salmon was good as well. I'd eturn to try something different in the future.

Yelp
Food was good- sort of like a local version of Pappadeaux's. Service was great. The cornbread was a nice treat. And the creme brulee for birthday dessert was great.

Yelp
This is absolutely and truly wonderful food. The service is spectacular, the food is presented beautifully and the flavor is outstanding. The restaurant has the feeling of small and intimate, but it's actually large and the seating is extremely comfortable. The service is perfect.

Yelp
We've been to this restaurant many times in the past three years. Everything is so good and the wait staff are eager to please. They have so many great meals and appetizers. This is a must go destination when you're looking for great food and friendly staff.
