"Deep in the Brevon valley, this former 17C mill is run by two passionate foodies: chef Frédéric Molina, a winegrower’s son who has worked all over Europe, and his partner Irene Gordejuela, who originally hails from a small village between the Rioja and the Basque Country. The latter welcomes guests in her charming accent and oversees the wine list which gives pride of place to local and Spanish wines. The couple have a shared philosophy of eco-responsibility: they promote sustainable local agriculture, using hand-picked producers, and even use biodegradable containers. The 4- and 8-course surprise menus are a real delight, as is the excellent local bread made with organic natural sourdough." - Michelin Inspector

Cosy classy location, fabulous restaurant, very comfortable bedrooms.|Beautiful location, very professional & friendly staff. Food was wonderfully presented and delicious at dinner Chef works with imagination and skill and plays with your tastes, everything was sourced locally even the beautiful pottery.|We would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. We stayed the night in a cosily decorated bedroom, followed by a lovely breakfast and a very substantial lunch the following day again with local fresh ingredients all prepared and served with great care.

An excellent experience. Food was of the highest quality and the staff were attentive and ensured that all the guests were well cared for. We all went as guests for a silver wedding party, and everyone’s needs were catered for including the two diabetic guests. The bedrooms were superb and decorated to the highest standard. The chef uses fresh ingredients and the presentation is excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Our experience at the restaurant was spectacular - the Chef & his team truly deserve the one star Michelin. We ordered 5 “Lake & Mountain” menus and all 8 dishes were so exquisite & unique! What a great way to celebrate a birthday! Bravo!👏🏻 The wine list is really extensive, lots of hyper local wines from small producers. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The restaurant is a great experience. Chef Frederic creates superb dishes with local ingredients. Same story for the wines, rare, unusual but interesting and tasty. Make sure to combine your visit with a sleep over in one of the five rooms so you don't have to worry about the drive back home.

We celebrated our small civil wedding here in winter, booked all rooms and had the cellar room for dinner + fantastic breakfast + great dinner & wine + gorgeous location - inside and out - the human element was missing, we did not feel welcome eg. no one congratulated us; staff wasn’t very friendly, eg. seemed to be unhappy that we had speeches in between the meals; no little attention on our bed

It was a perfect weekend getaway in the mountains near Thonon. The food is great for dinner( 1 michelin star restaurant) with vegetable oriented menu and the rooms are very cost. The breakfast area is very nicely decorated, well thought. We have loved the kind attention given by the staff and the nature friendly aspect of the restaurant as well as the hotel. |definetely a must go for couples based in Geneva - Evian area looking for a getaway in the nature.
