We visited the Butterfly exhibit and it was breathtaking! This is my second time going, and every time I've been, it has been magical. The process to get in was actually very nice and exciting! Rather than just making you wait in a long, straight line to the door, they designed it in a way that allows you to view the other gardens in their greenhouse. I remember during my first visit, you were able to see some caterpillars and chrysalises on the plants! When you enter the butterfly greenhouse, it is... again... BREATHTAKING! You see butterflies flying all around, beneath, and above you; it's insane.
Even though it was crowded, there were so many plants, sugar water, and fruits around you that let you see butterflies anywhere. It was also really nice to have them give you a brochure that lets you find out what type of butterflies you are seeing!
I am not a big fan of bugs or insects (I scream whenever I see them), but butterflies are one of those creatures that are simply too gorgeous to not admire. They also have a small glass room that lets you see the butterflies emerge from their chrysalises and moths from their cocoons (don't worry, moths stay in the glass room)!
If you are ever in Grand Rapids, MI during March, I highly recommend you check out this place!
