Freed’s Bakery absolutely nailed my daughter’s 9th birthday cake! We asked for a custom Stitch theme, and they delivered a masterpiece, it looked straight out of a movie. The ocean-style frosting, sandy graham base, and chocolate wafer “palm trees” were beautiful touches, and the Stitch design was perfect. I found the cake on the internet and the replicated it to a tee. When we brought it out, every kid at the party gasped, and then they all wanted to eat Stitch! The cake wasn’t just gorgeous, it was delicious too. It had Oreo cream and a vanilla base flavor. Moist, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Huge thanks to the Freed’s team for making Octavia’s birthday extra special. You made her day (and mine) unforgettable!

So much hype around this bakery. As a baker myself, this was an average cake. For $68 this was a 6inch 4 layer cake with very good cake base, but not so good frosting. American buttercream was just too sweet, and the filling of the gender cream was different in taste versus the outside. I wouldn’t go out of my way to try the cakes here.

Store was very clean, customer service was open and inviting, cake presentation was great BUT the cakes were okay. Nothing special enough to come back or recommend. I consider myself a carrot 🥕 cake connoisseur and this one I would put below a store bought bakery one. I also purchased the Dubi chocolate bar 🍫 being that this is my first one I have nothing to compare it with so I won’t give an opinion on that.

I order a cake from here 1-2 times a year for several years and this year… the cake looks beautiful but not what I ordered. I ordered the wonderful rum cake with sporadically places pink flower swirls on the outside…even spoke with person on phone to specify the design and such…. got the cake and not only was it half the size it usually was but the entire cake was covered in pink on the outside….. not randomly placed swirls… all pink!! and absolutely NO rum brushing on the frosting. Extremely disappointed. That was the whole reason for ordering this cake was the family has gotten this for years and the taste was not there. $55 was not worth this.

Man their cakes are delicious! We ordered a cake for my dad's 75th birthday and it was ready at our pick up time. Beautiful and tasty cake!

We ordered the red velvet heart cake for our elopement. I usually don't love wedding cake but it looked really cute and I wanted it for pictures. It was fantastic though! Fluffy, flavorful, and not too sweet. It also looked great in our photos. The price was fair given the overall taste and design quality. Highly recommend!

This cake was almost perfect! I chose this cake because of the color and design. Just added a few more touches so that it would perfectly match the birthday theme, butterflies and purple. I decided to upsize the cake to 10” cuz I read one of the reviews that said it was rather relatively small so I ordered a bigger one. And to my surprise, it came huge and a bit heavy! I think it was more than 10” round and it’s a tall cake! Not that I’m complaining but I really didn’t expect it! I ordered almond cake with Bavarian flavor filling, but it tasted more like vanilla. My kids were saying it has some hint of root beer which explains the minty, creamy-vanilla like taste. Bavarian for me, also has vanilla but more on custard flavor. I maybe wrong but this has been my favorite filling since I was a kid especially with doughnuts so I am pretty much familiar with it. And oh, I think you forgot some pearls on the cake cuz the pic on the website has them. But the size and the flavor didn’t really make such a big deal, it was still delicious and the kids enjoyed it too! It was still the party table’s star! Thank you Freed’s!

Warning - don't go unless you want to get hooked on these insanely delicious cookies and cakes. I had a gift certificate, so I stopped in and now every time I get in the area, my mind goes to Freed's! Working my way through each type of cake to find out which one is the very best, but so far, everything I have tried is wonderful. It is going to be tough to find a clear winner. I might have to try them all several times!!

Strawberry Shortcake Without the Strawberries I went to Freed's to pick up a slice of strawberry shortcake for someone's birthday. This wasn't just any dessert run -- this was their specific request. When they opened the box, we were both stunned. One lonely strawberry on top, one partial strawberry buried in the cream, and the rest? Plain sponge and frosting. That's it. For something labeled "strawberry shortcake," the strawberry content was almost nonexistent. This single slice cost over $7. For that price, I expected something worthy of the name -- not a token garnish and a hidden berry. This wasn't just underwhelming -- it was embarrassing. I now have to go to another bakery on the same day to get the cake they actually wanted. Freed's has a reputation for quality, but this was careless, misleading, and not worth the cost. If you're going to advertise "strawberry shortcake," deliver more than crumbs of the main ingredient.

About a month ago my office had ordered slices of cake to be delivered. They all came neatly packaged. Today I stopped in for something cold. I had the apple cider ice pop and my friends enjoyed their cold brew brownie and strawberry shortcake ice pop. No dairy deliciously and refreshing.

I've always loved the chocolate fudge blackout cake, but now I have a new favorite - the cannoli cream cake. Not only does it taste fantastic, but it's a masterpiece with the cannoli sections on top. Even when it's not a celebration, I go in to pick up cupcakes, cookies and cake slices. I've never been disappointed.

Delicious cakes but expensive. My mom used to love the macarons and other cookies. Too far for me to go to often.

I have ordered on many occasions. And appreciate the quality of the bake goods and the service provided there.

I stopped by so I could have some dessert and I found a Oreo Cheesecake! The service Alexa provided was great and the ambiance was nice and chill. I've eaten at Freeds before so I'm looking forward to what's in store.

Friendly staff, quick , easy and efficient. I've ordered a few cakes from Freed's before at their Henderson location. Was in a pinch and came by to grab some birthday cupcakes for work. They had their usual cakes cookies and some of their standard cakes (like red velvet ) available. This is a pick and go spot. I got the 4 pack cupcakes for $14.99. Ambiance is clean and spacious. I can't recall if seating was available.

My aunt ordered a custom butter cream cake for my daughter's "Disco Cowgirl" birthday party. She also ordered two dozen hot pink cupcakes. We wanted my daughter's cake to look exactly like the Inspo picture, but we weren't sure if it would. The rep who put in the order accidentally put my daughter's name Bayles on the order number, so when my aunt called last minute to confirm? She thought the order never went through for pick-up, because it wasn't showing up in the system. Customer Service was quick to fix the confusion. Long story short: Freed's Bakery nailed it! The cake looked identical to the picture and it also tasted amazing. The cactuses were also made out of icing, like we requested. I honestly couldn't stop eating the cake, because it was so good. I couldn't be happier with Freed's customer service. Best in Las Vegas! Thank you Freed's!

Daughter and I stopped to grab 2 slices of cake. This I the first time trying Freed's but have heard about it for over 25 years. The staff were very friendly even though we arrived right before closing. The cake was delicious and did it disappoint. I will visit again for sure.

We have another one!! Freed's NEVER fails. This year for my daughter's 26th Birthday. She designed her own cake. I chose the cake which was Swirl Cascade Birthday Cake. She spoke with the cake decorator and decided on modifying the cake to her liking. This cake came out better than the actual cake design that is offered. Such a beautiful elegant sleek birthday cake. The cake decorator helped my daughter with all the different options they had to bring my daughter's vision to life. Amazing customer service as always. From the beginning to the end. The taste of the cake made our tastebuds do back flips;) Thank you once again for making another year of birthday happiness complete! I HIGHLY recommend Freed's for ALL your sweet occasions and more!

I love this little dessert shop. It's perfect if you feel like you just need a slice of cake. They have a wide variety, but my favorite is the confetti cake or red velvet. I also love their cupcakes as well. The cake is moist and the buttercream is not too sweet and very creamy. The staff here are so kind as well.

One big amazing cake for my birthday! Dark, rich & chocolatey. The cream is so light and airy! Not too sweet just right! Cake was layered, moist and fresh. My husband just walked in and got this from their selection of cakes. Luckily it was the last one left! It can be pre-ordered. Their service was good and they secured the cake in a nice box. The bakery was quite cute and staff were welcoming. I feel the prices could be made more reasonable !

Best Birthday Cakes in town. Not cheap and kinda pricey for what it is but excellent quality and all top shelf ingredients. The Strawberry Shortcake Freesia Cake is perfect in every way.

Omg! I love this bakery! Everything is so delicious. And they make custom cakes, just email them a picture. I ordered my husband a golf cake and it was adorable and delicious! We also had the cupcakes, brownie, eclair Slice of tiramisu cake. And a slice of their famous strawberry shortcake which was unbelievably delicious I have to have that for my 40th birthday cake lol I hope someone can surprise me. The customer service was really kind and helpful and the place was very clean and nice and bright. We will definitely be back 2 thumbs up

A slice of cake for $7, I thought it would be worth it. There's nothing special about it. The cake tasted like any other cake you get a supermarket. Wayyyy overpriced. Will not be back.

I've been here a couple of times over the last month. The service has always been friendly and fast. I highly recommend the chocolate covered cookies and the tiramisu. You can also sign up to get their weekly deals via text which are really good.

Got a red velvet cake & OMG it was the BEST red velvet cake I've ever had!! Super moist, even 2 days later in the fridge. Beautifully decorated! Looking forward to trying other cakes in the future.

I'm writing to compliment not only the taste of Freed's cakes, but their outstanding customer service. I recently ordered a very special cake for a 70th birthday celebration. Although the cake itself was delicious, the outer decoration was disappointing and did not look like the picture on the website. Customer service IMMEDIATELY made it right, and also assured me that the decorating team would be advised. You can't hope for more than that from a company. (By the way, when I picked up the cake from the Summerlin store, the store itself was clean, bright and appealing, and the two people working at the time were friendly and welcoming.)

Young guy gave best service and recommendation on desert. This location is on Summerlin.

Freed's Dessert Shop is a crowd pleaser every time! I've actually never been to Freed's but I'm a frequent lucky recipient if their desserts - Mom always picks up a cake from Freed's anytime we need dessert. Its her #1 stop in Vegas and she's a picky eater so you betcha this is quality stuff worth every single calorie! Look no more and grab something from here! You'll make someone smile for sure! Finally checked out Freed's to get some cupcakes for a co-worker's birthday. Service was prompt and friendly. I'm not a big fan of sweets, but the chocolate cupcake was yummy! Smaller than a Sprinkles cupcake (which I don't care for, after trying 4 times) but I'll take take it! Quality over quantity. Husband also deemed it good. Signed up for their loyalty program and got a message/offer for 4 freeee cookies with a $5 purchase. Can't beat that.

Extremely overrated. An old company that rests on its laurels. Everyone raves about it and I've given it several tries with many different items, and gone to different locations. Every time it is mediocre and mid-quality at best. From the overpriced, flavorless cakes to the hard, stale cookies. The only thing decent was the popsicles they help another small business sell there and they didn't even make them!

For holidays or special occasions, Freed's Bakery is always my top choice. Their pies, especially the apple pie, are fantastic, and their cakes are absolutely delicious. My personal favorite is the Brown Derby Chocolate Shortcake. With great service and an amazing place in the Summerlin area, I'll definitely keep coming back for more!

What a pleasant experience. Everything here looks absolutely amazing and I promise it will be hard to limit yourself here. As we walked in 2 days before Thanksgiving, we were expecting bare shelves, instead we were welcomed by everything being full and fresh. We got 2 amazing pies: Pumpkin and a blueberry crumble. Man are they tasty. The service here is impeccable, they were extremely friendly and welcoming. I loved the feeling I had as we looked at all the goodies here and we can't wait to come back!!! I had ordered 1 Santa Cake and 2 Frosty Cakes for pick up on 12/22/2024 at the Freed's Summerlin store...along with some other things...,.when I got there, there was only 1 Frosty cake, though the rest of the order was complete and perfect. As I live in Pahrump and was leaving early the next morning to go to California for 5 days, coming back to get another cake wasn't an option. The girl at the Summerlin store got on the phone with the main bakery and made it all better for me. The cake I chose was a Cannoli Cake that I gave to my neighbors as a Thank You gift for helping to take care of me during a recent illness. The cake was a hit.... And, the rest of the order was as delicious and perfect as Freed's Bakery is known for! A HUGE thank you to Freed's for being the BEST of Las Vegas in all ways!

I ordered the Chocolate Fudge Blackout Cake for my son's birthday! Amazing flavor! The staff were friendly when I picked it up and quickly wrapped up the cake for me. The shop was very clean and I saw the additional pastries they offered in the display. I plan on returning to try more!

I was craving cupcakes and have had Freeds in the past so I stopped by to grab some cupcakes for me and my boyfriend. I told the girls it was my first time at the location and asked what they suggest I try. They suggested the chocolate cupcakes and cookies and cream cupcakes for my boyfriend. Apparently someone ordered a batch of cupcakes and never picked them up so I was pleasantly surprised when they gave me an entire batch of free cupcakes! Score! These were given to my boyfriends work buddies and I'm sure they were delighted. As far as the taste goes. The chocolate cup cake frosting was butter cream. Ooooo so delicious. The bather was this perfect soft cake. I love that the cake was not dry AT ALL. Perfect cupcake. My boyfriend loved the cookies and cream cupcake and wants more!

The ladies at the bakery are so attentive to details and welcome all your ideas to try and accommodate the best cake for your event. Tip1 : make sure to pre order any custom cakes in advance. Their website has a pre order form where you can customize even the type of filling you want in your cake. Make sure to call the shop right after sending your request to ensure they have your form and open the conversation for any additional information you want to share with them. Cloying but cute pastries. These pastries are a little on the sweeter side and are essentially a prettier version of what you can purchase at a grocery store. It's a good option if you want to buy something for a celebration that feels a tad fancier. Cost: $26 for 12 mini-cookies, one macaroon and 2 slices of cake. Service: Friendly.

A must visit dessert shop when visiting Las Vegas. They offer whole cakes, cake slices, cupcakes, cookies, and more. Instead of committing to a whole cake flavor for birthdays, I buy my family cake slices and they absolutely love it. Most importantly, every cake slice has the perfect amount of cake to whipped frosting ratio, and it is never too sweet/rich so the whole family can enjoy! Here are my favorite cakes (in order): - Parisian Chocolate Cake (the secret is their Belgian chocolate whipped cream) - Carrot Cake - Tiramisu - Strawberry Shortcake - German Chocolate Additionally, they offer more flavors online including: Raspberry Rum, Chocolate Kahlua Banana Dessert Cake, Tres Leches Dessert Cake, Banana Split, etc. Lastly, they have bite sized cookies, macaroons, and candies. I HIGHLY recommend the almond cake cookie. You'll eat one and want to buy 10lbs worth right after (trust me).

Always the best place to grab your delicious cakes, cupcakes and even such a small sweet delight! The service is fast as long as you don't come on a rush time of during the holiday's - you'll be fine. Love the casual ambiance of it and the sweet scent of their items. If you haven't tried it, i recommend that you should.

My quest for a custom mocha buttercream cake to order was not found in Vegas! Why do bakeries limit customization... even if offering to pay more? I chose to go with the Mocha Cake from Freed's. ... close enough... it was very good... but not amazing which I had hoped for. I realize not a true French buttercream... just not found in Vegas.

I have been to this dessert shop three times now and each time the shop staff have been super upbeat and friendly. This goes a long way with me and probably one of the main reasons I keep going back! The first time I was in there was around Christmas time. A friend of mine wanted to get a cookie (and ended up walking out with a dozen)! While we were there we saw an elf on the shelf! If you find where the elf is sitting/standing at Christmas time, you get a free cookie. So actually, my friend got a baker's dozen worth of cookies because he got the extra one for spotting the elf! The second time I went in there, I got a few cupcakes to do a taste test before ordering a cake. They got me to sign up for their rewards program. I'm not a huge fan of sugar or baked goods, but the people were so nice that I was like "why not?" The rewards program is free, by the way, so, really, why not?! That night, after I had a few friends help with a taste test, we ordered a cake online. Cakes must be ordered at least three days in advance and you only get the reward points if you buy it in the store. (Just something to note!) But, the online ordering process was a breeze and they had our beautiful cake ready for pick up when we got there (three days later) to pick it up! Everyone seemed to like the cake at the birthday party that I took it too. I thought the frosting was too sweet (but again, I'm not a big fan of sweets in general). We did have quite a bit left over. I am going to try freezing it. I'll try to remember to update this review when the frozen pieces are devoured and let you know whether it freezes well (I suspect it does). The bake shop was clean and there was plenty of parking. Close to Jimmy John's sandwich shop so it was easy to pick up catering, at Jimmy John's, along with the cake, at Freed's, on party day!

First l ordered a 7 inch strawberry cake it was abuzy time l was unhappy with the cake l felt it was dry and the berries were mushy so l decided to call them and complain l must say I'm sorry for not remembering the lovely woman who helped me name so was so understanding and helpful so they offered me a new cake at no cost to me l will order it when my son comes out to visit for it was a birthday cake for him which will be sometime in august l will then review the cake must say the service was wonderful thank you

Just stopped in for the first time. They had a big selection of cookies and cakes you can get it by the slice or the whole cake. I mean they looked delicious. I can't wait to try them tonight.

Came during covid, they have a limit of 5 people in their shop at a time. They have hand sanitizers setup and markers on the floor to indicate social distancing. Cake cookies: they are AMAZING! They come in various flavors. They are moist like a cake shaped in a cookie form. - I have tried some flavors among many others and they did not disappoint: Mint chip wafer, lemon cake cookie, Raspberry cake cookie, Orange cake cookie, Raspberry walnut wafer Strawberry shortcake: SO good, super moist and fresh. We've placed a few orders from Freeds and they've always been spectacular! This past order was for my birthday, I wanted the cannoli cake and while my husband was picking up he also brought home an eclair and fruit tart. They were all so delicious but my favorite was the tart! Fresh fruit, perfect crust, and the cream and whipped cream were so good. We will continue to keep Freeds at the top of our bakery list!

The crew keeps the glass in immaculate condition with cleaning between each and every customer. Yes it's seems redundant for this extra cleaning, but with the spikes of new cases of COVID; taking the extra time to ensure we are safe is good with me. "Stressed is dessert spelled backwards." Let's get that stress to spill away and relax you with something sweet. When you get to the register area the cakes, cookie, and cupcakes grab your attention and distract you. Get lost while you consider your options. Is it going to be a chocolate kind of day or maybe a simple vanilla will suit you. The selection is indescribable and to appreciate must be seen in person. Another great way to order Freed's is through your smart device and have it delivered via Door Dash or Uber Eats.

Pricey dessert that didn't taste good at all. Came here for a quick dessert after lunch to pick up a few items. Got a cream puff and chocolate cake and a few cookies. Everything was super sweet and not very fresh. The cream puff was super dry. The chocolate cake was a bit stale and overly sweet, also dry. The cookies weren't good either. Super pricey, totally not worth it. Grocery store dessert taste better than dessert from this place.

I was excited to find a Freed's closer to work and home. I pre ordered a cake for the holidays last year and I was a bit bummed about the way it worked. I picked the first time available so that I could be in and out as it was when they first opened for the day, THAT was a HUGE mistake! I had to wait in this line out the door for people picking out cookies and etc. They should have had a line for preorders (because I didn't need anything else) and one for non pre orders. I am not sure I will be ordering during the holiday time for this reason. However, the preorder is mighty convenient. They have cupcake kids and cookie kit activities for kids to decorate so I was able to pre order and pick up there. I have also ordered cakes not during the holiday season and it has run much smoothly. It can be pricey but we have always gotten great sweets from here.

I picked up different cake slices to celebrate my mom's birthday. They were delicious! The ladies behind the counter were very helpful, suggesting pieces that would go well together, appeal to different palates. I would 100% return.

$25 for 4 slices of an assortment of cake and all of them were dry stale and inedible. I've been here a few times and hadn't had any issues. Very unfortunate

Craving award winning desserts in Las Vegas? Checkout Freed's Dessert Shop. They have a few locations in the Vegas area and have won Best of Las Vegas several times. I was craving a canoli, and walked out with 9 cookies and their famous strawberry shortcake all for $15.00. All worth each bite! On top of that, the staff are so helpful and are happy with their jobs. Which makes me happy! Swing by and pick up a tasty treat. Happy Eats!

This shop has all the goodies to satisfy my sweet tooth! Cute little shop in the Canyon Pointe center. I ordered a birthday cake here and I am so glad I did! It was a hit at the party! The cake flavor was red velvet with cream cheese filling and it was rich and not too sweet-the cream cheese tasted like actual cream cheese and not buttercream. I have ordered other things during my past visits like the cookies. Those were awesome as well. Too bad it's not on my way to work in the morning. Otherwise, I'd be here almost every morning to pick a little something to go with my morning coffee.

I looked forward to visiting the new Freed's Dessert Shop since it was announced they were opening a shop in my area. I never thought of it, but after a movie at Red Rock Casino one day, the memory finally kicked in and I went across Charleston and stopped at the shop. It was early and they had just opened. I just looked at all the cake slices and cookies they stock. It was difficult to try to decide. I eventually opted for a slice of their German chocolate cake. The woman packed it carefully and I brought it home for dessert after dinner at home that night. It was excellent--moist, flavorful, a a different king of German chocolate cake. I stopped in a few days later and got another cake slice. It was the second day before I had that and it was still moist and fresh. This place scares me in a way. I can see myself stopping too often. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
