"Across the street from the shores of Lake Union, Fremont Brewing has one of the most popular patios on a nice day. But Fremont Brewing is so much more than their amazing beer garden; they're a family owned, small batch brewery that has been making the best-of-the-best since 2009. Fun tip, this place is all ages, and you can bring your own food to snack on." - Wintr
"Fremont’s been under new ownership since 2024, but it remains a clear favorite among Seattle beer fans. In addition to a large, Instagram-worthy beer garden (that literally feels like a garden thanks to an abundance of greenery), crowds routinely fill Fremont’s flagship taproom for the beer. The main draws are the varied lineup of IPA styles and the brewery’s seasonal Dark Star oatmeal stouts, but review the chalkboard carefully for some surprising outliers — like a tropically-flavored gose or a crisp and dry Italian pilsner. Smash That Burger is the permanent food truck at the garden these days." - Brianna Gunter
"If we had to choose one spot to have daytime hops in Seattle, it would easily be Fremont Brewing Company. There’s a huge patio, dependably delicious beer (Lush IPA is the gold standard), the good brand of mini pretzels in unlimited quantities, and a fun crowd including many dogs. The only wrong way to do Fremont Brewing is to not show up at all." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley
"Fremont Brewing Company is day-drinking central, and one of our favorite places in the entire city to grab a beer. Stalk a massive table for your entire group of friends, and knock back pints of their excellent Lush IPA while you eat whatever takeout you want (they don’t have food, but don’t care if you bring it in). You’ll be much happier than you would’ve been at that day rave you almost went to." - aimee rizzo
"Fremont Brewing Company is everyone’s favorite brewery to day drink in the summer, and we’re not arguing. The urban garden is like Disneyland for craft beer nerds, but there’s something for you here even if you couldn’t care less how hazy your IPA is. It’ll be hard to find a seat, but just send one person to stalk tables with their best passive-aggressive face on while the rest of your group waits in line for a drink. Bring your own takeout from Tivoli or Pacific Inn here, but if you forget to do so, there’s a huge bowl of free mini pretzels with your name on it. " - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley
