SF Kosher Bakery Frena Opens in the Richmond District - Eater SF

"SF’s only kosher bakery operation, Frena, has completed its expansion to the Richmond. The new location sells the same assortment of sweet and savory baked goods that have been popular at 132 6th Street and beyond thanks to catering. New dishes include a shakshuka bowl roasted in the oven and served with fresh pita." - Caleb Pershan

Where to Eat for Hanukkah in the San Francisco Bay Area | Eater SF

"SF kosher bakery Frena is getting into the latke spirit, though the main draw will be the sufganiyot. Stop by the shop and taste some unusual versions, like a peanut butter jelly doughnut or s’mores doughnut topped with a brûléed marshmallow. For at-home parties, pre-order a dozen stuffed with raspberry jelly or Bavarian cream." - Janelle Bitker

Google
The food here is amazing! I was just looking for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised after ordering their Feta & green olive pocket and Pesto mushroom pocket. They toss the pockets back into the oven for a quick minute and serve it to you warm and crispy. The service here is also pretty fast which is great if you are on the go!

Google
Great Israeli style bakery, fantastic American style service !

Google
It took forever for them to open, they were open for a month (or a little more) and then they were gone. Not quite sure what happened in the Richmond but after all the hype I am really dissapointed they came and went so fast. I liked the coffee and the pastries. The challah bread was fantastic but I am not travelling across town for it. (Their other location).

Google
This place is amazing. This was my first time in and I loved the selection that was all new to me. The place reminds me of my vacations in Europe, warm customer greetings and a feel like you are in a cafe bakery in another country.

Google
Ordered, then the 3 people after me got their coffee 1st. I waited 20 min for a breakfast sandwich & was told, well you ordered a sandwich & they ordered coffee, yours takes longer to make .....really?!... Wow😲 & to top it off the sandwich had a big mealy tomato, no cheese, & undone egg's, yuck! Did not eat, did not go back

Google
We stopped in for a little snack. The bagel and challah roll were soft and tasty and good for what they are, but it wasn't quite like challah and it's not quite a bagel just because it has that shape. Still and all, I'd like to try their pockets and their falafel sandwich next time. Word is that they're getting rid of their sweets and adding more savories. Fine by me.

Google
To expensive, for a very small piece of Salmon, smoke and flavored, 2x store bought price and still in package. I walked out. Starbucks down the street was 1/2, ok, not kosher.

Chema Hernández Gil

Google
Love the baked goods, but feel bad for the single worker at the register, answering the phone and taking orders. There was a 30 minute line because they are understaffed. Not cool.

Yelp
So many great vegetarian options. it's an open kitchen so you can smell all the food and you want to order everything. Such a great experience and service . Can't wait for my next time .

Yelp
Top-notch hummus, pita, falafel, soup, and quite lovely and welcoming staff who actively take the extra effort to provide a great meal and experience. I had a late lunch here with my sister today after we went to an exhibit at the Legion of Honor. We topped our Schwarma and Falafel sandwiches with their Amba and Tahini. We got hummus and Split Pea Soup to take home for dinner to accompany our leftovers (the sandwiches were very generous). I wish we had got more pita to take home to freeze. One of guys came by and gave us small cups of delicious Turkish coffee - totally unexpected, and a perfect taste punctuation to end the meal! This is now a definite place to for me to stop at when I'm near this neighborhood (or a good reason by itself to make it the destination).

Yelp
Came for an early lunch for a Tuesday special veal shawarma. Few minutes and the food was ready served in a perfect pita bread. Juicy, warm and full of flavor. Will definitely come back

Yelp
A coworker raved about this spot and said that she loves their hummus, so I had lunch here on a Wednesday afternoon. This is indeed a bodega that sells hummus, as well as baked goods, condiments, desserts, and spreads. Order at the counter, and your food will be brought to you. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There was a monthly special advertised when I visited: The Persian Kebab. The friendly cashier told me that it was made with beef & lamb, and he was planning on eating that for lunch later, so I decided to try it out! Persian Kebab Plate: Persian Kebab (4 pcs), hummus w/warm chickpeas, Israeli chopped salad, cabbage, pickles, split pea soup, and pita ($27.00 + tax). +Huge portion! I had the leftovers with some rice for dinner. +Persian Kebab was nicely charred on the outside yet moist on the inside. As someone who eats lamb, I enjoyed it but if you don't like the gaminess it may not be for you. +Hummus was smooth, rich, and not overly salty. Chickpeas on top were a nice touch. +Normally, I'm not a fan of split pea soup, but since it was cold I opted for that over fries or rice. It was delicious and I think they made me a fan. +Pita was fluffy and warm. I wish there was more than one! -Israeli chopped salad, cabbage, pickles provided freshness, but I wish some of the veggies weren't tart. *Verdict: Quite expensive for a fast casual spot, but the food is well-prepared, and portions are generous.

Yelp
Well, it's been a long time that I didn't eat. Very tasty food. I'm highly recommend Also getting a free coffee, a really good coffee I will eat there again every time that I will be in that area. This is the restaurant that I'm gonna eat highly highly recommend.

Yelp
I wanted something light for lunch and stopped by this place. Between 2 people, we shared the Bodega Style Hummus Bowl and it was probably the best hummus I ever had! The hummus is creamy and flavorful. We got the bowl with an extra pita and added an egg. Their pita is so fluffy and comes out very warm! I definitely recommend ordering extra pita if you're sharing their hummus bowls. This is a small restaurant with limited seating, so we got our food for to-go. I definitely recommend trying out this spot if you're in the area. I'd come back again to try their other dishes!

Yelp
Wow I am BLOWN away! Hummus Bodega was incredible -- so fresh and flavorful. I ordered the Falafel and Bodega Style Hummus. The falafel was probably the best I have ever had! It was crunchy, garlicky, and crisp. I loved how cute and little they were. The bodega style hummus was massive and some of the creaminess hummus I've ever had. It was topped with pickes, spicy shattah, chopped salad, and tahini. I do think the hummus could've done with a little more salt, but that's just personal preference. The pita that it came with was also insanely good! I'd defining order again, especially because of the quality and massive portions. Hidden gem in the city!

Yelp
The food was delicious, but the service was disappointing and the price was high. We arrived in the mid afternoon for a late lunch and the place was busy. Our order was promised in 5-10 minutes, which seemed overly optimistic given the obvious staffing shortage. We had to bus a dirty table ourselves since the staff was preoccupied with other matters (taking orders, trying to placate another irate/entitled group, and running orders). The eating area was also fairly dirty, overall. When our order finally arrived (in take out containers since they seemed to have run out of dishes), it was very tasty. The Persian kabobs were juicy, the pita perfectly puffy, and the hummus incredibly textured. We may have arrived at an off day, and look forward to trying again--hopefully after they have time to hire and train more staff.

Yelp
In the neighborhood and hungry I texted my sons: "meet me at Hummus Bodega in about 10 minutes and I'll buy". Not surprisingly, this impromptu invitation bought them both to the table. My younger son barely looked at the menu. He likes someone to make a recommendation and he likes things that he's not had before. He went with the recommended Pita Shawarma ($23, made with chicken) and a drink with its identity written in a language other than English (turned out to be grape juice). I opted for a Hummus Falafel Bowl ($19). Both this and the Shawarma benefited from the addition of the Mango Sauce and the hot pepper mix (both available upon request). When my older son arrived he remarked "I've walked by this place a lot but never been in because the prices... whew". This caused my younger son to notice those prices as I'd already done; they're probably the highest I've seen for this type of food in this type of space. The food is good and, even though only one of us added a drink, a meal for three ran about $75. So: very good food, somewhat overpriced, and in a space that, visually, doesn't merit the expense. That said, there's this: The menu confused and overwhelmed me a bit and even left me wishing for photos of everything. I came home and looked on-line and see that I somehow missed the "Exploding Eggplant" which others rave about and some other things I'd really like to try. A return visit may be in order. If you want this cuisine, your portfolio is thriving, and you aren't looking for fancy digs in which to consume it all, Hummus Bodega will definitely satisfy.

Yelp
Food was very mediocre and the prices were very high. $27 for a chicken plate ordered at a counter is very high, even for SF. On top of that the service was not very good. The guy taking our order was far more interested in talking to some friends across the restaurant than finishing our order. Between sentences with us he would talk to them at a cross-room volume right into our faces. This turned a simple 2 time order into a long ordeal. Then, before even taking our payment, he walked away from the counter to talk to them leaving us standing there waiting for him to come back knowing our food wasn't even in progress. On top of that, the food was very slow to be delivered, largely because he could barely focus on bagging it up during this still ongoing epic conversation. Anyways, Sajj is across town but it's far tastier, cheaper, and has lots of choices to customize, so I'll just be making the trek there when I have a craving for some chicken and hummus.

Yelp
Woooooooow!!!! I'm super impressed. I've been eyeing this place over the past year and I'm so glad I finally got to try it out for my birthday. This had to be the best Mediterranean food I've possibly ever had. I was able to get the kebab plate and the Tel Aviv hummus bowl and both were amazing. The Eggplant was phenomenal!!! You MUST try it. It brings this food to a new level. The most flaky crispy exterior with a soft and moist interior. Never had anything like it and I'm still salivating, trying to recreate the memory of savory deliciousness in my mind hours after consuming it. Hands down the best eggplant I've had in my life. The hummus was fantastic...very smooth, creamy and rich. Could have used a little more flavor but doesn't have the bitter aftertaste that some hummus can have. The PITA was even of great mention - pillowy soft and so fresh. Definitely the best pita I've EVER had. Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. Also got to try their coconut custard with pistachio and rose syrup. It was light, creamy, delicious, unique and had a homemade taste. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The plate had a good variety bc it comes w a nice mix of Israeli salad, hummus, pita and fries. The kebabs were more like a ground mixed meat and veggie. It was good but would have preferred chunks of meat instead of ground. Looked like they had a shawarma present but not available on the to go ordering? Would have also liked additional meat choices available but can't complain bc everything I ate was tremendous. My mom, who is extremely picky said it was "A+++." That indeed is more than a compliment and tells you something. We will be coming back again for sure. This is place is legit and authentic. The man at the front helping with my order was very friendly and great. The lady cooking my food was also working so hard to put it together so it would be fresh and hot!

Yelp
Solid food in a chill environment! Pricing on some items seemed a little steep, but other items were great value! Got a vegan falafel plate, which included so much food - falafel, pita, cucumber salad, pickles, and hummus. Most importantly, the hummus was perfectly creamy and just a little bitter from the tahini, which is my preference when it comes to hummus. The falafel was alright - a little too dry and dense for my preference. Ended up eating over two meals, which made it a great value at $22. I added Moroccan carrots for $9 - pretty pricey for just a small, 8 oz container but easily the best item I had!! Vinegary, a little heat, and perfectly soft carrots - I would order these all the time if they were cheaper! Also had the Malabi - vegan coconut pudding with rose syrup and pistachios for $4. Verging on a little too sweet, but it was a perfect mini size that didn't overwhelm me. Partner had a shawarma pita, which he liked as well! The person who helped us at the counter was sooo nice - he steered me towards the fries, which I admit are some of the best on the westside. Very knowledgeable and patient, and gave great explanations for all the items on the menu. I think they went under new ownership a few months ago, but it's just as good as before! In fact the menu is far more legible than it was before lol I've come here multiple times and will continue to come! Thank you for always having vegan options!!

Yelp
Hummus bowls are pretty good but pretty pricey. But there's probably enough food for two meals worth of appetizers. I've gotten the shawarma hummus bowl before and the forest bowl this time, and I would say the shawarma bowl is tastier. The hummus bowl comes out nice and warm, but it cools down really rapidly. And if you want it spicy, they add their green sauce to your bowl. There was a lot of tumeric in the forest bowl which was fine. The best part of the meal was eating it with their pita. It's so warm, soft, and chewy. The fries were very crispy and also a good item to order. Service can vary between friendly or intimidating, but overall they put out a decent product.

Steve M.

Yelp
The best hummus, hands down!!! The pita is so soft and billowy. I could just sit down with a stack of pita and a mound of hummus, and be a happy camper. Falafel is excellent too. Overall, great food. Highly recommended!!!

Kevin J.

Yelp
I got the shwarma pita sandwich. It was honestly delicious, but for 23 plus tip? Come on. But the price was not even the worst part, I got the craziest shits ever after. I have been pooping for the past few hours a constant stream of poop. I've lost at least 4 pounds. WTF. The poop is not stopping yet either. Starting to think I might need a doctor. (The sandwich is the only thing I've eaten today). I guess if your tryna shed a few pounds this is the place for you

Yelp
Hummus Bodega Is one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants I have been to. We had a hummus bowl with falafel, an exploding eggplant and Israeli salad. All--as well as the pita and side sauces--were excellent. Can't wait to come back and try the shwarma!

Radha B.

Yelp
I always get takeout from them and it has always been finger licking good and hard not to eat immediately while walking away. The fluffiest warm Fresh pita with a distinctive tang, texture and chewiness - it is still really good the next day or even after a couple of days. Hummus is the lightest smoothest and creamiest you might ever try. Falafels are also really good fresh and light - crispy on the outside and tender inside. They are also still very good the next day or even after a couple of days just reheated in the toaster oven. Service is always friendly. Servings are generous too.
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
i've been here a few times before, and it was busy when i went to pick up lunch. the service was pretty bad but whatever, my food came out fast. and i got the hummus falafel bowl for a whopping $20 ish without realizing just how much hummus is in it (i might sound silly for saying that but it's literally just all hummus in a large bowl with 4 falafel swimming in it). the ratio for hummus to bread or even falafel felt very uneven i had to take the rest of the hummus home and eat it with chicken and rice (which was really good anyway). if they provided a 2nd pita, or even a 5th falafel ball, then it would've been perfect.

Su W.

Yelp
Love coming in here especially on a cold day. It's always nice and toasty in here. The customer service is very nice. He answered all the questions I have with their menu! Service of food does take a little bit so I highly recommend calling in or ordering online!
google avatar

Misha T.

Yelp
Had a chicken hummus bowl and it really was pretty good. It's just expensive ($24) which take it out of the casual lunch zone and reasonably makes you expect some fancier vibes. But the hummus, chicken, and pita are all tasty. But they seem busy so I guess people are very much willing to pay it. I guess I am too, but not that often.
google avatar

Shepoklyak S.

Yelp
Outstanding food! Some of the best falafel and humus I've ever had in and outside of the Middle East. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Another delicious visit to Hummus Bodega. This time for a Kebab Pita Sandwich. Always better when visiting with friends too. One thing to note is the homeless encampment on the sidewalk at the corner of their building. Not a great dining experience outside at the street tables. But just move inside and you'll be fine. Service was as expected and good. The menus this time was poor. Why? Just slap your palm over most items because they weren't available. No falafel for lunch? Sad. No Shashuka at all? Almost a sin!!! Fortunate for me I am omnivorous. Accessible enough for a wheelchair for indoor or outside dining. Getting to the Bathroom is a very tight fit and can be blocked at times because of stock, and people. You can usually find a parking spot within a half block. Don't let the very possible menu dings dissuade you from a visit. Hummus Bodega serves us good Kosher food, for what's left on the menu that they can still make and serve.
google avatar

Anne B.

Yelp
I have coronavirus and I was craving the pickles. I considered buying a full pound of them, and I probably should have in hindsight. But the hero of my order was the pita. I have never had pita bread like this, ever. It's wonderful. The Classic Hummus was also just incredible, and I got a lot of it. Hummus Bodega is a neighborhood mainstay, and I'm so grateful you're this close in my time of need. Thank you, and much love.
google avatar

Lauren C.

Yelp
The shawarma sandwich might be the best sandwich I've ever seen in my life. Service is great.
google avatar

Yelp
I bought a falafel plate for my daughter and she didn't like it. I tasted the hummus and it was bland. She ended up just eating the falafels.
google avatar

Heather F.

Yelp
So happy to have finally made it to Hummus Bodega today for a late lunch with my family. Everything was delicious, well worth the hype! We ordered a split pea soup, a falafel plate and an exploding eggplant. I would recommend all 3 of these dishes. If you're hungry, the falafel plate had a good amount of falafel plus a big portion of Israeli salad, pickles, hummus and pita, rice. The exploding eggplant was a Smokey delicious dish - so so tasty! And the pea soup was home made and excellent. Go here, you can't go wrong!

Yolanda S.

Yelp
Hummus was liquid with no taste. Pita was soggy. Falafel balls were burned. $19 for a dish like this?
google avatar

Mo K.

Yelp
The soup was a 5/5. Nicely presented in a metal bowl and super tasty with delicious lemon notes. I'm excited to eat more food from Hummus Bodega. My one complaint - this restaurant really really really needs new, cafe-like tables. The current tables are wobbly and beat down. They're also awkwardly big and make a screeching noise if you try to move them. Regardless, the soup and the staff was great and I'll absolutely go back for more.

Yelp
The hummus was creamy and taste delicious I ordered the hummus with mushrooms and pita bread and for desert I had the chocolate desert Highly recommended

Yelp
Was looking for a fresh, vibrant meal and decided to check out Hummus Bodega. We were blown away by the quality of food and I am obsessed with the fries. Everything was so delicious and the staff is beyond thoughtful. They let us try the shawarma because we first opted for the crispy chicken. Of course we switched our minds after the sample because the shawarma is delish! I do not like lamb but the lamb fat and chicken combo is perfection. Towards the end of our meal they also offered a sample of their dessert. We loved it so much we ended up ordering a different dessert to try it and we liked that as well! I'm from LA, and wish Hummus Bodega was closer. I will be back!
google avatar

Kathie V.

Yelp
So happy they reopened after renovations. And they kept the original falafel recipe, which is amazing. Service is excellent, falafel bowls and sandwiches are hearty enough to share. We counted five falafels in our sandwich! Such nice people with a strong service ethic and delicious food.

Afik S.

Yelp
Amazing food , we just left the restaurant food was so fresh and tasty, the shawarma was incredible tasty, my kids ate all there the dishes. Service was very nice and the staff were very friendly and kind. Highly recommended, a must if you're in the city!
google avatar

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Was in the mood for something hummus-y and we found Hummus Bodega's rave reviews on Yelp. I was super impressed by their falafel pita sandwich. The pita was soft and doughy and not at all soggy when it arrived (we ordered via delivery). The falafels inside were gently crisped on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside. Super tasty meal, we'll be back for more without a doubt.

Yelp
I decided to come and try this spot. I was in the area. The ambiance was pretty ok. I have ordered one item and it was well over $20. It was shocking. The service was pretty terrible. There was no communication. I was waiting for my order and no one acknowledged that my order was ready even though it was sitting on the counter. They were unorganized. The most shocking part of this whole experience is that when I got my receipt and took a look at it. They have an underhanded and deceptive practice. They have absurdity to charge the customer a "delivery fee". After discovering this deceptive practice it didn't sit well with me at all. I don't think I be paying customers for this restaurant. It's understandable that running and owning a business is not easy but lying to the customer is the absolute worst thing that a business owner could do to a customer. Update Now they are claiming the " delivery fee" is label as a SF bag fee. I was not given a bag for my order. There is no sign displayed this information in the restaurant.
google avatar

Joanne C.

Yelp
Come here if you want something quick, filling, and tasty! I tried their crispy chicken sandwich for $20 and half of it was enough to make me full! It came with cabbage, red onion, pickles, and tahini! Also got their Tel Aviv Bowl ($16) which came with the creamiest hummus and crispy eggplant and boiled eggs. WAS SO DELISH! They also have dips to go and all of them sound so good, we opted to try the Matbukha which is roasted bell peppers seasoned with chili pepper and garlic. Goes well on anything!
google avatar

Yarin B.

Yelp
Good food and very clean Amazing customers service and very nice people Wish them the best and good luck

Yelp
Reopened after a brief pause, new ownership. Attention to detail is great. Clearly, they care about the product. The Shawarma was outstanding. The rest of the food was great too.

Yelp
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost..." TL; TR: No, your ears won't fall off eating vegetarian! Affordable and hella good is what's up! 4.5-stars! Yea, I admit I've been working on one of these Gen-Z reviews for awhile lol. This is Eric Z.! The end. :D Hummus Bodega: affordable Modern Mediterranean vegetarian cuisine in the Richmond District of the city. My weekend lunch buddy and I decided to come here on a whim... and admittedly not knowing they served absolutely no meat lol. Our one tracked minds only read "Mediterranean" and so here we are... next in line... and hella why not! Our ears won't fall off, right?! Hummus Bodega: the perfect set-up post Covid times, where you order and pay at the cashier and seat yourself. We both ended-up ordering Hummus Falafel plates, which comes w/ French fries, Chickpeas, and chopped Israeli salad. A couple of sauces available and also a large handful of ketchup packets! Not much seating, maybe three tables inside and maybe 3-4 cafe tables outside. However we noticed most orders are for take-out. Once seated they will bring your orders to you. Drinks available or water by request. I'm not sure if it's Mediterranean water, but most likely Richmond district tap. Lunch is served! Of course both of us being Vegetarian novices... we immediately start with the French fries lol. Is this by design or what? Fries nice and crispy and seasoned just right. Falafel balls and Pita bread were the stars! As I graciously slipped all my pickles to my lunch bud. In the end, I can see why Hummus Bodega has such a high rating! It makes sense for Vegetarian lovers in the city - add in Modern Mediterranean and you have a unique experience that will wake up your senses. Even as a card carrying Omnivore I enjoyed my lunch and tbh felt cleaner and OMNI in the days to follow! In fact, did you know in this lifetime I once did Vegetarian for six weeks, I enjoyed the Hare Krishna buffet up the road the most, well until the chanting began... Mmk.

Yelp
Falafel was not freshly made, frozen perhaps, greasy and burnt. Employee ignored me, he was talking to his co-worker. 15 minutes later... Over priced and a scorched oil smell. Floors and windows dirty.

Carl G.

Yelp
Save yourself $25 bucks and go somewhere they take pride in their work. This place makes overpriced average food in a messy kitchen. It's unclear if the proprietors like running a restaurant. I won't inconvenience them with my patronage anymore.
google avatar

Helen L.

Yelp
Got to try other things through Too good to go. Their curry dish is fantastic. Of course their hummus is the best. The falafel was crunchy and went with the hummus and the salad. Everything they make is so fresh and yummy.

Yelp
The only kosher restaurant in San Francisco. The service is great, and food is even more! We order shnizel in plate and hummus with falafel. All food come fresh, and taste good!! Really recommend about this restaurant.

I F.

Yelp
AMAZING food Crazy expensive with no justification! Complete ripoff if you ask me! Go to enjoy truly great food if you are in the mood to over pay for it
google avatar

Yih R.

Yelp
I live a few blocks away and this was my first time here. There food was not bad. I enjoyed the hummus we got and the fires. One thing that I would recommend changing is the ketchup. They don't not have those big packaged ketchup, but those tiny packs that you would get at a fast food place. This is so inconvenient and we kept asking them for more, and they were so busy, and I didn't want to bother them too much. It was a dilemma. I probably will not come back again unless I am in the mood for some hummus

KD K.

Yelp
Great lunch. We had the falafel. Wanted to try something new but the falafel looked so good Thank you

Yelp
I gave Hummus Bodega another chance using a delivery service, and yay! My order went through! Food is spectacular. Definitely get extra pita, it's so soft and delicious. A little pricey, but worth it.
google avatar

Sherry L.

Yelp
My husband *loves* hummus and mediterranean food. So we're always searching for a staple place to get his hummus fix. Hummus Bodega may be that place. We got two hummus bowls - falafel for him, tel aviv for me. Both were good. There was *a lot* of hummus in the bowl. The pita bread was fluffy and delicious. In hindsight, we should've done one hummus bowl, and one salad, for more variety.
google avatar

Yelp
Places like this should not be allowed to exist because my stomach and mouth simply cannot handle the out of this world flavors and smells. My husband and I had spent the morning at the Sargent exhibit at the Legion of Honor and this place popped up on my yelp. We drove over and found parking in the local neighborhood and walked about to black to this medium-sized, but unassuming place. We started at the colorful menu for awhile unable to decide between the Tel Aviv and the shashuka. We decided on the Tel Aviv and I got the Schnitzel with a side of falafel. After ordering on the touchscreen, we realized that we forgot to order drinks and went back. We both for the pomenade. There were no signs or instructions, so we grabbed them out of the fridge and went to wait for our dine in order. After about 5 minutes, the man, who I assumed to be the owner, dropped off some straws for us. The drink is very tart, but refreshing. When the food arrived, our jaws dropped. We had clearly ordered enough for an army. The food was beautifully plates and I had no idea where to start, so I dipped into the hummus with my fries. I kid you not, this place makes me want to drink their hummus as a smoothie. It was so rich, creamy, smooth and just plain phenomenal. Everything on the table was fresh, bright and holy wow, you definitely get bang for your buck. The chicken schnitzel was a surprise, but when I broke the pita in half, added the Schnitzel, the salad, the friends, the hummus and the spicy green sauce, I was in heaven. Run, don't walk to this place.

Ordered a shawarma pita sandwich! Very disappointing - it's basically just a pita bread with shredded lettuce and pickle - hardly any meat. Ridiculously overcharged at $23 - daylight robbery! Won't be back!
