French 75

Servers are fantastic and food delicious, but the cocktails are really where it's at, apparently. Happy hour is a killer deal. Warm, welcoming atmosphere. They charge you $20 to make a reservation and they refund that on your tab. They also charge a 22% "CHP" fee to your meal, which is strange and confusing. It's not clear if that's just your gratuity or not. It makes you feel like you're cheating your server by not still tipping, and if you do, then you're paying like a 40% tip on top of what is already a very expensive meal. Parking sucks down here, so go early.

Went here for lunch because we were feeling fancy! Got the French Onion Soup, which was so tasty! Also shared the Mussels and frites with a Co worker! So delicious. Asked for the fries in a separate container so it wouldn't get soggy with the Mussels but I love the dish served with fries for dunking in the white wine garlic sauce! I also got the crémé brûlée, my favorite dessert! I can't remember what dessert my coworker got but we said it was a special occasion, and they added a candle for her! Dakota was our server and she was training a new hire as well!

We loved this place for lunch. I was all about the atmosphere; very french cafe feel. The menu is not extensive but that is ok. Our dishes were delicious and the kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant, so tiny bit of entertainment there. However, we thought the fries would be the "potato boats" we saw while being seated. They were shoestring fries with our dishes. Would eat at again when in Denver.

The food is very delicious here. I and another person had the French Dip sandwich (him with a side salad me with fries), the other two people at our table had the Nicoise salad. Everyone was very pleased with their food and found it to be quite delicious. The portions and the presentation also are very pleasing. The French Dip is BIG so show up with a hearty appetite or be prepared to take some home as leftovers. I was also quite pleased with their fries. I'm a little bit of a fry snob so I was pleasantly surprised to find the fries quite good (not the best part of the meal by any stretch but good). The restaurant was quite empty when we were there for lunch so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The downside of this was the speakers for the background music were still pretty darn loud, so it was still like it was a full restaurant. The brief moments the music stopped were something of a relief and we all would relax and luxuriate in the brief respites from the loud music so we could converse easier. Over all a quite good place to eat lunch. Pricey but if it's in your price range it's a great place.

Really amazing food! The whipped feta is awesome, and the filet kabob. I shared a hellos, dyonisus and a french 75. My favorite was the dionysus but they were all amazing! Our server was very nice. My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday and the last table for dinner is at 9pm. Reservation makes it easier, you can do it on maps or you can call them. Definitely recommend so good!!

It will never take the place of Le Central in my heart, but this is an amazing new French restaurant in Denver. We enjoyed standard French favorites including mussels and fries, goose liver pate, steak tartare, French onion soup, and profiteroles for dessert. The cocktails were great! The steaks were cooked to perfection. I look forward to returning soon.

Did not get refunded $20 on the tab and only remembered when I got home. My food was pretty good, I recommend their Calamari and Rigatoni Bolognese, but my friend hated her salmon (it was in sweet sauce and salmon tasted burnt). Service was fast and we got seated as soon as we walked in. Overall nothing special.

This was the perfect date night restaurant pregame right before a show at the paramount theater. Must have the French onion soup and the duck confit had some of the best zesty sauces I've ever tasted. I'd also be okay just filling myself with their baguette and salted homemade butter spread. Can't wait to go again when I'm in the neighborhood!

We stopped in for happy hour before dinner this Friday night and had a wonderful dinner! The drinks are great, the food was fantastic, and the servers are super attentive without being overbearing. This spot gets busy so a reservation is highly recommended!

Happy hour wine was bad. The duck was awful. The hill was 200 bucks and they added 20% tip for the staff, not even the server foe a party of 2. Cream brûlée was worst Ive ever had. Asked for extra cheese on French onion soup and apparently got extra onions because def didn't get extra cheese. Cool vibe. That's about it.

Great service loved every bite! We made a reservation and got seated right away! We also added extra people to our reservation and they accommodated us!!!!!!

Really good spot all the fun stuff you want. I had the patte and mussels in the most delicious broth....we had the happy our meal and apps. Cocktais awesome....staff even better. 100 percent coming back. You should know they charge 22% gratuity. But they don't hide it which made me tip more.

It's alright. Even if it is on the expense account. Short lunch menu. Basic burger and steak dishes $20 - $30. Why pot stickers as an app?? It should be more French. Don't even have Kronenberg beer. Automatic 22% tip for ok service

Love a place that answers food menu questions for my son's peanut allergy without hesitation for good late lunch! The Casino Hanger steak salad with blue Cheese was delicious. The Breckenridge Bourbon recommended by the waitress hit the spot. Service was friendly & inviting for enjoyed meal. The CHP Fee at 22% was a little bit of a surprise. It was an easy walk from our Hotel.

Walked to the location with a friend. It was restaurant week and they had a specific menu that you could order from. Sadly, I couldn't have most of any was on the menu. I ended up with fries as you couldn't order specific items from the restaurant week menu and I was allergic or had restrictions from other items. It didn't take long for the food. The kitchen and bar are right in front of you. The fries were good. Nice atmosphere. Staff was friendly and efficient.

OMG! We had the best happy hour meal here! So good that we went back for lunch the next day and it was equally delicious. The restaurant is on the same block as the Hilton where we were staying. So it couldn't have been more convenient. The restaurant itself is super cute, and the bar has floor to ceiling windows that look out on all the street corner action. It's beautiful. And the staff, particularly Abby the GM, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. If we lived in Denver we'd be eating here all the time! OMG! So good! And so warm, and so friendly. We felt like locals. But what about the food and drink you ask? Well they have red (and white) wine on tap. We don't often find draft wine, so we went with the red for both meals. It was refreshing and delicious. As far as food, we each had the happy hour moules frites, but then there was all this amazing sauce leftover so we ordered a couple happy hour sized baguettes to sop up the sauce. It all tasted fabulous and it was such a great deal. Then for lunch the next day we had, yes more red wine on tap, but we also tried a couple of salads. We had the casino salad and the nicoise salad. They were both truly melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Check out the pics. They tasted even better. We cannot wait to get back to Denver for more! The entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. The servers were so knowledgeable and professional, and didn't steer us wrong once. We split the charcuterie board to start, and the kitchen was kind enough to separate the meat and cheese for me (kosher/mostly vegetarian) and my friend (lactose intolerant). There was some kind of jalapeño jam that paired beautifully with the cheddar (?) cheese, and was so flavorful and well balanced. I'm still thinking about it days later. For my entree, I had the Niçoise salad. The tuna was high quality, the plating was elegant, and I didn't at all regret ordering salad for dinner. We had a few cocktails. All were expertly mixed. I had the time bomb, which gets spicier as you drink it. I also had some kind of cocktail with cucumber vodka, grapefruit, and sage. I can't remember the name, but I'll be thinking about the drink for awhile! The restaurant has an elevated, yet casual vibe. It's a nice spot for pretty much any occasion, especially if you want it to feel a little special.

- My favorite dish with the spring roll appetizer - so crispy and fresh and full with crunch of yummy vegetables inside - My salmon was cooked in beautiful sauce with champagne and embedded French characters. The skin was crispy and the inside was soft. I wish it was more flavorful though.

A favorite happy hour place of mine! I have been a couple times non-happy hour but haven't yet had an all out order all the courses off the menu experience. The place is pretty inside. I like the u-shaped bar where you can kind of talk to a lot of people while sitting at the bar, the design really carries your voice. The happy hour menu is pretty good, love the charcuterie and the truffle fries, the mussels and beef sandwich are also good. The egg rolls flat out suck. The calamari was great the first time and gross the second. I really think they should consider rotating the happy hour menu once and a while. Take off the egg rolls, please! They're not even made at the restaurant anyway! Sell what you make yourself. Egg rolls don't even make sense at a French restaurant.

Location and space was great. Service and staff a ten. Being a French restaurant, they should stick with French cooking. The Greek fare was somewhat familiar to Greek cooking and definitely French pricing.

We've been here before and things have taken a turn -- to such a point that I have no intention of returning. The beef tartare is missing the stellar quality it used to have. I mean, it still had truffle flavor and shavings but it was not nearly as unctuous as in the past. The bread served was burned on the bottom (char impacting the overall taste) and wasn't sliced all the way through so attempting to extract a slice resulted in carnage and shrapnel that made it impossible to load tartare. (Sydney did bring some unslaughtered bread but 5 slices for a table of two?) Throughout this, the crappiest music blaring overhead set our teeth on edge. So obnoxious. Then the French onion soup arrived and the broth was almost purple which was intriguing to my eyes. Then the spoon hit my mouth and it was entirely liquid salt. Utterly atrocious. The poor server asked if we wanted two different bowls of the same soup that the menu says is "days in the making." Hard pass, darling. His lobster and ricotta was passable ("it's lobster and ricotta on a plate, how bad could it be?") but he didn't finish because it wasn't as good as it could've been (half a tartare, a spoon of soup and maybe six forks of lobster and cheese for a grown man's dinner?) I ordered the apple salad and the apples were almost non-existent. Thin-sliced and macerated into near-pulp, with huge dried fruit (uncut cherries?) and hunks of white cheddar that were the size of my pinky finger (width and length) so when I stabbed what I thought and hoped was a chunk of the apple from my *Apple Salad*, I was dismayed to be left with a mouthful of cheese. With a bottle of wine and the 22% Creating Happy People (forced tip) fee and only the salt lick bowls comped, the 23rd anniversary dinner was $184. For two people. For an $80 bottle of wine with three appetizers and the world's worst mix of crap-music *blaring* overhead. Seriously? Definitely will NOT be back. Good luck, French 75. We have a better French restaurant with soothing, refined ambiance (Le French, Greenwood Village) closer to home - that serves utterly *delectable* French onion soup. The entire kitchen at French 75 is a complete train wreck. (And honestly, the French onion soup I make at home and the beef tartare he makes is infinitely better than what this kitchen produced.) "Eating at home has its advantages."

Disappointing. How do you go from being asked for a vaccine card, and having to wear your mask, to watching these yahoo's in their "open kitchen" with their masks down touching food. Each one of them continually picked up their phones, to put them back down & touch food again.....never saw any of them EVER wash their hands after handling their phones. One guy, with the baseball cap, also kept wiping his nose and mouth. Heck, the guy with the beard couldn't even bother to have a mask on, even below his chin. Don't tell me to wear my mask & allow your employees to brazenly do this! It's ridiculous & today unconscionable! Even in a NON Covid world, touching your hair, your face, your nose or your phone and then touching food without washing said hands, is DISGUSTING.

Beautiful atmosphere, good food, fabulous cocktail and wine list. I do wish there were a little more steak in the steak frites (and some sort of sauce - the fries were lonely and the steak needed more than a schmear of garlic butter).

Honestly this place could've been amazing - great cuts of steak and pasta recipes from osterio marco (their sister restaurant)... beautiful restaurant, friendly staff but... the food and drinks were not good. Well the drinks were ok... the food was so over salted... inedible... dumplings had a weird texture, says crispy but really shell was raw undercooked purposely but it just doesn't work and isn't what is to be expected. We didn't eat dessert, but walking out we saw the crème brûlée and it looked really good.

Really not sure what the fuss is about with the other reviews but this place was cute, fun and the food was good! We came for restaurant week and the menu to me was pretty fair. Your skeptical at first because the appetizers are pretty small but the entree alone is huge! So we get it! The chicken was juicy but a bit salty. The other dishes were good. The music is super dope! Love old school. Service was good to me! Thanks!

The food and service was great. However, the problem was they waited until they presented the check to inform us an additional 22% was added to pay the staff. Of course then they pointed out the "tip" was not included...

We went here for the first time this week. We made a reservation for 5:30 - so caught the last half hour of happy hour - which was great! We started with the bottomless truffle sea salt fries (seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly), pork dumplings (amazingly delicious - especially the sauce they come in), shrimp shumai (delicious). For main courses we went with the bones lobster ramen - it was delicious - the broth itself tasted a lot like lobster bisque (before the heavy cream is added) - lots of noodles, edamame and chunks of lobster. We also ordered the fresh gnochetti - but the plate came out with pasta closer to fettuccini vs gnochetti/gnocchi - the sauce was a truffle cream sauce which was very rich and flavorful - there were also mushrooms (delicious). Drinks were also delicious - the French 75 was great! We will for sure come back - our server was also great!

What a disappointment!! We were a party of 5 and went on a Friday night before Xmas. We were really hoping for a fun and festive downtown vibrant vibe!! The place was empty - 1 other table in entire 1 1/2 hours we were there. It was so depressing. Except they had a private party upstairs and they actually played the DJ's (really awful) loud music in the dining area. We all love music snd are young. But it was SO bad and loud at our table - we had yo ask 3 times to have the speaker turned off by our table. Finally we could hear ourselves talk. Would have been okay if Christmas fun songs or jazz or soft rock. But was terrible Rap music. Hey, note to owner. Keep your private parties private. Don't force upon the Gen public using the bar or restaurant. Prices are ridiculous for the small portions. SNL could do a great skit on their portion sizes We had 6 basic cocktail or beer drinks, 6 apps and 4 entrees for 4 men and 1 woman. And it was not filling. Our bill was $420 - $84 per person. We were pretty shocked given the very small Tapas style portions. And the Lobster Ramen they rave about? Fair at best. Honestly, the food is generally above average. But it's not a 3 star Michelin justifying these prices. Should note - They were doing their Bones menu. An old closed restaurant from Cap Hill with Asian menu that Frank B used to own. The Asian fusion food itself was very good. But $420 - $84 per person- was outrageous This is not a NYC or LA coast restaurant by far, but Frank feels he can charge Big city prices for a sleepy Denver empty restaurant. Don't think this is a dinner place. Lunch could be fun. We all agreed none of us will ever go back. So that says a bunch as we are all foodies. Also, suggest they rethink the mandatory 22% gratuity (making people happy) and if you have it- then tell people right away. Not at end of meal.

The ambiance and service is good but be ready to have a second meal later if you are hungry: their portions are tiny.

No thanks to ever going here again, they charge a sneaky 22% upcharge on your bill for an automatic gratuity without telling you first no matter the size of your party, there was just 2 of us. Took over an hour for our entrees to come out also and menu options is small with only a few things to choose from.

My wife and I went here for restaurant week. We chose this place specifically for their ADVERTISED escargot. However, when we got there, they suddenly weren't serving escargot with the restaurant week menu. They decided to make this an add on for $17 per serving. The manager explained that it was a choice to protect their profits. I get that, but look at the menu you're submitting to the city! This was nothing less than a bait and switch.

Stopped by for dinner with work colleagues during Denver Restaurant Week. Ordered off the fixed menu (steak frites and scallop and shrimp pasta) and both items were great. Really disappointed that we weren't informed of the 22% included CHP fee (gratuity). Don't necessarily mind it being included, but no mention at all of this when our bill was brought out. Dinner had run later than I expected and predictably, I tipped an additional 20% without realizing it. Understand everyone should review bill before signing, but a heads up would have been much appreciated.

Food was awesome, drinks a bargain at happy hour , and amazing service. Highly recommended!

Wonderful cocktails, lovely bartender, and the French onion soup was something I will crave for years to come! Can't wait to go back the next time I'm in town!

Top notch service, delicious food, cool ambiance, basically everything you need for an awesome restaurant. We started with the calamari steak (highly recommend) and shared a pasta dish and the duck. I could go on and on about the food, but I'll keep it short. We ate everything and it tasted great. We were even brought a complementary dish (mushroom tart) as they were testing it for their new menu. The service was also incredible. We had to run shortly after finishing our food to make a show, so our waitress brought us a box of truffles for on the house since we didn't have time to see the dessert menu. Customer experience is clearly a priority here and it shows! The open kitchen view is also very cool. You get to see all the food being made, although it often made us second guess our food choices as we saw so many other amazing looking dishes come out! Overall it made for a lovely evening and we can't wait to come back.

Abby was amazing! The food was wonderful. We will remember this experience forever. The mushroom fusilli and crème brûlée flavors were off the chart. Mostly Abby was amazing.

Honestly, I have no idea why this place only has 3.5 stars on Yelp. Our experience was amazing! I went a couple of days before Christmas for a date, and we had a wonderful time. Our server was wonderful, and she consistently made great recommendations for our orders. The first thing we had was a complimentary amuse bouche of puff pastry stuffed with goat cheese and topped with persimmon. It was a great, light blend of fruit, sweet, and savory. For our appetizers, we got lucky and made our reservation during happy hour. We ordered the grilled calamari steak and the moules frites. The grilled calamari steak was really good. It was nice seeing a calamary preparation that wasn't just frying it, and the flavor of the calamari was great. The moules frites were fantastic though. They were very tender, and the sauce was great for dipping the fries in. For our mains, I ordered the lamb, and my date ordered the tuna. The tuna was delicious, and I honestly would've considered getting it if I hadn't gotten the lamb! for me though, the lamb was the star of the night. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the flavor was fantastic. For dessert, we shared a creme brulee and a chocolate dessert as well. The creme brulee was really good, and the addition of flaky salt on top made for an interesting combination. Overall though, this place was fantastic and I highly recommend it!

The initial part when the hostess treated us was pretty great. She was so nice and personable when she asked us for our vaccine cards and IDs. She actually said something like, congrats on being vaccinated. Lol she was sweet. The restaurant in general was okay. The music was kinda loud and it felt more like a club rather then a fine dinning experience. Maybe that wasn't what they were aiming for. We had the restaurant week meals and it was nice they had an additional off the restaurant menu selection. I did like the charcuterie plate on the additional menu. The escargot was okay, the melted Gruyère made the dish a bit too oily, the French onion soup wasn't my favorite either. The Duck was decent too. I wouldn't say this is the best French food I've had, but the service was pleasant. Good job again to the girl at the entrance. She was super nice.

Food was great. I got the French dip at the bar. Fries were on point in a way that bears mentioning. Almost a Belgian double fried taste. Staff was helpful and made suggestions. Weird 22% CHP fee added to my bill I wasn't ready for. Idk if this was a service fee and my tip was in there with my extra cash on the bar. Didn't care for that but didn't ask questions so know that I'd go back. I'd like to try the escargot they offered.

The hostess who greeted us was perfect - friendly and talkative. The service throughout the meal was above average, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with some of the food. - French onion soup: good, not great - Casino salad: very good - SteakFrites: 1) not hot, it clearly sat too long before getting to table. 2) frites weren't as good as expected. Thick, plain, not well seasoned, and no ketchup or aïoli offered. And not hot enough! - Salmon dish: very good, maybe a little too citrusy, but tasty and beautifully presented. Unfortunately this was also served warm, not hot. - The "not so virgin" cocktail was very good and nicely presented. The mixologist came by to ask how we liked it, and get any feedback we had. A very nice touch. - We were brought complementary glasses of Champaign and whipped feta on a large crostini. Very nice modern design. An excellent Jazz Quartet was playing Miles Davis, and other great standards in the bar area. Even though the food is good, only 2 stars given when a fine restaurant can't serve hot food. And it wasn't even busy, 5:30 on a Saturday night.

We are huge F75 fans. It's a great spot to dress up and celebrate or come as you are for a seat at the bar with the city's best French onion soup and a good sippin cocktail. Exceptional service all around, but Sydney's section is always our favorite for her thoughtful suggestions and excellent memory on our previous visits. This place is a downtown Denver institution for a reason

We have loved dining at French 75 for several years. The experience is reliably fantastic. Wednesday was no exception. When we arrived, we were greeted by Abby, the manager. She found our reservation and set us at the kitchen bar so we could watch all the action. Then, Abby spent time helping us pick an exceptional French wine. Our waiter was Skyler. She was also very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We ordered the Mussels, and they were to die for. The mussels were perfectly cooked, so tender and fresh. They were seasoned with garlic and herbs and had French fries to soak up the broth. I ordered the steak. It was a terrific cut and seasoned perfectly. They include a 22% service fee, which I don't mind. We had such great service that I added additional gratuity. This is such a special place. We'll be back soon!!

I'm stunned that this place is reviewed as high as it is. We came here for dinner on a Sunday. We were required to place an $80 deposit for our reservation (that did not go towards our bill and was not reimbursed - usually restaurants do one of either) despite it being completely empty inside. Once seated, we were told that we could only order off a 'Sunday Dinner' menu, which was not information shared when we booked. The menu had minimal options and was not at all what we were interested in ordering. We would have eaten elsewhere had we known there was a limit. When the food came out, it was clear they had some type of food supply/shortage because the food we received looked nothing like pictures online and were MUCH smaller portions. All of the food was incredibly over-salted. The dessert was the worst part. The ice cream in the ice cream sandwich was still frozen, and the cake served was a disgusting 'deconstructed' cake version that was very different than what we were expecting. If you plan on serving a deconstructed cake, it's important to tell people this before they order. We also were told the 22% surcharge added to the bill was NOT a tip. This is something that should have been communicated at the start of the meal, rather than at the end, so we were not surprised. The service and waitstaff were the only pleasant parts of this experience. I can't believe how much money was wasted on one of the most sub-par meals of my memory. Go eat anywhere else.

A 3 is just being kind as the food was ok, and our server was attentive: other than that my guests and I had to scream at one another as the music was so LOUD. It's a business lunch: and I left with a headache. We did ask for music to be turned down, they did by about 20% and then it creeped back up tos us yelling at one another again. If you value talking to your guests, take a pass

22% kitchen living wage added to all bills. That was shocking to me. We had thoroughly enjoyed the food and drink but to be handed the bill and only then told that they added a fee to assist with the restaurant worker living wages. I've seen this at a lot of Denver restaurants but usually around at 2-3%. These places usually also advertise the added fee at the start. It definitely lessened the experience to not be warned about an additional 22% charge up front

I have been here on two occasions for dinner. The first was a random Thursday with a friend. I tried the Steak Frites, salad and creme brulee, it was all fantastic. The meat was perfectly cook and the creme brulee was deliciously flavored with vanilla. I loved everything except the hefty bill that came at the end. While the service was great and food very enjoyable, I deemed this restaurant a special occasion place and did not plan to visit frequently. A few months later I saw a Tuesday dining special where two can dine for $55. It if for sure a limited menu but the choices are broad enough that everyone should be happy. We shared the goat cheese croquette appetizers which were delicious. I followed this with their kale salad and braised short rib. The deal came with a bottle of house wine which could be upgraded for a small fee. The deal did not include dessert but that was more than fine as we were quite full with the 3 courses. Great place and I will be sure to visit more frequently on Tuesdays!

Yes, it could have been a LOT better. High prices and low quality. Ordered the French onion soup, which the owner is known for, and it left me wanting two things--the taste of onions and the Gruyere cheese promised. $17 plus 22% quality fee for 1.5 cups of pretty tasteless food. My fellow diner found the salmon too salty. It is impossible to envision myself ever returning here. A big disappointment given Frank Bonnano's other eateries like Bones and Miszuna. And the bill ran over $100 for one entree, one soup, an appetizer and a side salad. Further, the reservation process with upfront deposits is annoying. Still, I paid it, then the waitress forgot to deduct it from the bill, and I was steaming because the confirmation I received stated we were expected to be done by 6:15.

Great music and down hill from there - they use glasses with worn out logos from other Bonnano restaurants- a barely edible steak tartare had cauliflower in it - cauliflower? Friendly helpful staff but truly lousy food

This place became one of our favorites after our very first visit (pre-COVID). And these days, I find my way there at least a couple times a month. The food is always fantastic and the service is just as great. We've been lucky enough to have Sydney as our server almost every time we've been in... she's fun, she's always quick with a reco if you need it, and did I mention she's fun? If you haven't been to French75, add it to your short list.

Terrible food and service, way overpriced. Stay away. On their Saturday fix menu they had 3 main selections, we're out of one, and the other was a double sharing dish. Amateur hour

Last week, over 4 days and nights, I ate my way across the city of Denver. I'd never been there before, but let me tell you: French 75 was the highlight of my trip! My wife and I went in on Thursday, March 24th, for my birthday dinner. We were seated by the General Manager, Abby H., and proceeded to get into about a 15 minute conversation with her, where we discussed food and travel. She was delightful and I think we could have conversed all night. I hope we didn't keep her away from too many other responsibilities! Jason was our main server and he did an excellent job with the pacing of our meal, suggestions, and service. He was expertly assisted by a young lady who's name I cannot recall (so sorry!), but she has fantastic purple and blue hair, and a Mr. Meeseeks tattoo on her right arm. She was very impressed we knew who he was. "CAN DO!" From a service standpoint, French 75 is in great hands. On to the food and drink: We began with cocktails. My wife had the Lillet Pad, substituting gin for vodka, and I went with the Traditionel French 75. Both were refreshing and tasty. For apps, we selected the Pork Dumplings and the Wagyu beef tartare, before Jason pointed out that the Lobster with house-made Ricotta was a wiser choice than the tartare. We ended up having all three, and I would rank them as a close tie between the Dumplings and Lobster, with maybe the Lobster eke-ing out a win, and the tartare (sadly) a distant third. The components of the tartare were quite good, but assembled together, it just wasn't what I was hoping it would be. Delicious, but it paled compared to the Dumpling and Lobster dishes. Don't miss them. For the salad, we shared the greens with berries and more of that lovely Ricotta with a poppyseed dressing. If you DO want to go light and miss the Lobster app, (maybe you're aiming at the Lobster Ramen as your main entree), then this salad will be a nice choice instead. Since I loved the Ricotta and the fresh berry mix, plus that dressing, my only regret is that we didn't get 2 of these salads. So refreshing before our entrees! And for entrees: my wife selected the Fresh Gnochetti with foraged mushrooms and truffle cream. She was in heaven. For myself, I looked quite hard at the Canard Confit (duck... it's just so hard to find great duck!), but ended up following Jason's suggestion (again!) of the Frankie's Tagliatelle. I was not disappointed. It isn't a complex dish- medium-wide noodles, Bechamel cream sauce, and basically small bits of chipped, smoked country ham, but oh yeah, it was comfort food at it's finest and I ate every bite. I paired it up with the crisp, dry French white wine by the glass (can't remember if it was a Sancerre or a Chenin Blanc or something else- definitely wasn't a Chard or a Sauv Blanc). It was a great wine to cut through the cream sauce: high acid, but low aftertaste. A cleansed palate with every sip. We skipped desert in favor of going to another restaurant, but I'm sure that French 75 would have delivered there, too. Next time, we'll buck convention and lead with dessert. Sound okay, Abby and Jason? Thanks so much to the chefs, waitstaff, support staff and most of all, Abby, who set the tone for the entire night. It's absolutely criminal that French 75 wasn't busier on Thursday night, but when restaurants are slow, great restaurateurs rise to the occasion and make the night that much more splendid for the guests who choose to dine. This is certainly true of Abby and her staff. Denver: get off your butts and fill this restaurant. It's worth it! I promise. (side note: we also ate at their sister restaurant, Osteria Marco, on the 22nd of March, which was quite good, but doesn't shine nearly as brightly as French 75!)

Not sure why this place has the review it has. The ambiance is great, the service is outstanding and the food was delicious. Ambiance: a nice relaxing establishment with great music playing lightly in the background Food/drinks: had the half chicken and mash potatoes which was absolutely delicious. Probably one of the best chicken dishes at a restaurant. Also had their famous old fashion. Both were amazing and definitely recommend. Jordan our server and Jenn the manager were amazing! They were extremely kind and accommodating and made our experience and absolute joy. Highly recommend checking this place out if you are in Denver.

First time here was for a business function with several colleagues. Had a number of apps of which the molé frites and potstickers stood out. Very tasty. I had a pasta dish as an entree (tagliatelle) but wasn't crazy about that. Should have left that one to the Italians! Good happy hour specials - drinks and food. Attentive service. Overall, good experience and will definitely return.

Sydney is an amazing server and the food was amazing! Definitely five stars this place was awesome!

The ambiance was great. We were seated upstairs where tables have a backdrop of a wine wall. The service was mediocre, my drink order took about 15 minutes, twice. The French onion soup broth was salty to the point it had to be substituted for a salad. The food flavor was good, but portions were extremely small and inconsistent between those with the same dish at the table. Not sure it is the example of French cooking you seek.
