Everything looks good, just doesn’t taste like where it’s from. Spicy (hot) does not mean good. I was willing to not do a review until I discovered a “Technology Fee 3.50%” added to my bill without my knowledge. This is why I always get a copy of the receipt when I tap to pay. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

This place is so nice. I went here after going to the museum. I wasn't planning to go here but I'm so glad that I did. The restaurant is so charming. It's perfect for if you're going out with friends, family, or going for a date night. The vibe is so nice. The food is delicious. The flavors and textures are just perfect. I had the fish tacos and the nachos. I live so far from here but let me tell you I went home still feeling happy from eating such good food. Tomas was so kind to us. There's art all over the restaurant. Even going into the bathroom, the bathroom was nice and smelled so clean. If I lived closer I would probably just eat nachos and tacos here every week. I was told they also have Sunday brunch. This is an inclusive place, which I think is very cool of them.

The pictures were dark, but the food was DELICIOUS! I’m from Peru and that Peruvian 🇵🇪 rice was authentic! The 6 of us loved every bite. We finished all of our food and didn’t even need to-go boxes. I had, Ropa Vieja con Pico de Gallo and the flavor was so good. Also, how did they make such amazing black beans? Really though!

This was our first time coming to this restaurant, and this restaurant is one of the best i've had tacos. Everything is super delicious, and the waiters were super nice and loved the ambiance beautiful. They kept the menu simple and easy to read. I'm definitely looking forward to going back again to try other items on the menu.

Ate dinner here last night. Ordered guacamole and chips for an appetizer. The guacamole was definitely missing something. Unfortunately it was not flavorful. However the tacos were tasty. My favorite was the beef. I also ordered sangria which was good. Service was good overall.

Lovely place to eat. The staff was courteous. Food was delicious and flavorful. Great place to have a small party. The decor is gorgeous!

Google
this burrito did not have cheese or pico del gallo in it and there was so much oil it had what appeared to be clear vegetable oil leaking out. not even greasy which I have had greasy in all kinds of good ways but OILY. I think the chef forgot to put pico del gallo in and instead put canola oil. the burrito was $23.00 with tax & tip (and unfinishable). staff extremely nice. restaurant good vibe. friend recommended the food - said it was the best they've had. friend needs to try more places. I attached photos so you could see that the oil turned the paper towels translucent.

Google
Must say this Gem is outstanding!!! Star is super nice, friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious. Came with a group and we ordered so much and the piece was so good. Beside the flavors and quality of food, the price tops it all. Low prices, lower then other places and better taste and value. The drinks are strong as well and they have frozen options. Must eat location 10/10

Yelp
I had a great time at Fresco's Cantina for a friend's birthday. We had reservations for brunch, on a Sunday afternoon, and the restaurant was at capacity. The drag show was great and the Queen's put on a hilarious and interactive show- bringing up patrons who were celebrating a birthday and working the room while dancing to the latest tunes. Our group of 10 really enjoyed ourselves! I would definitely recommend the tamarind margaritas, they were fresh, delicious, and carried a mean punch. For brunch, I had the Lomo al Caballo and it did not dissappoint. The steak was full of flavor and the runny eggs over french fries made for a great dish. They have really great food options and the Chimi sliders on tostones were a group favorite. I would definitely recommend and go back. Good times!

Yelp
This place was sooooooooo good. A friend who's native to the area recommended this to me on my birthday trip, and I'm very glad he did. I got (wings) and (tinga tacos) and I enjoyed every bit. I will say the chicken could've been juicier, but the flavors were incredible. It was pretty quiet there, which was probably because of the time and day that I went, but I loved the ambiance.

Yelp
Heard great things about this place. $8 margs (on the rocks or frozen) at Happy Hour 3-8pm Tuesday through Friday. Great music Great ambiance Tasty drinks Decent food Ok service I really feel like a lot of love was put into this restaurant, with the decor, and all are welcome policy. The place was empty when I came at 4pm on a Friday. I had a strawberry frozen margarita with a tajin rim and the pork tamal. Both were great. The pork tamal was the perfect consistency. It had a bit to much sauce but honestly better than being to dry. The server was not rude and checked in on me. He seemed perfectly fine but in a hurry and it made me a bit anxious. When I left and was getting out of my chair he came to the same side of the table not to move the table away to help me get out but to clear the glass from the table. Would have been fine if he wasn't leaning over and if I wasn't in the middle of standing up. I almost lost my balance and fell. All's well that ends well I guess. I didn't feel very welcome there, but maybe it was just an off night. This was definitely a 3.5 star establishment. Also they charge a 4% charge for using a credit card so bring cash if you don't wanna pay a surcharge

Yelp
Fresco's is the best there is!! They have top tier performances and fantastic food. The fact that I can have tostones and queens doing death drops in the same room is a dream come true. Plus the back area is a gorgeous atmosphere. The energy and music is always great, the servers and staff are always so kind and accommodating. Topped it all off with my favorite cake for my birthday- tres leches! Fantastic experience. Remember to bring cash to tip your queens!!

Yelp
Well-liked spot in an area without many restaurants. Very much a fusion spot, as opposed to more 'classic' dishes served straight. Heavy cilantro in Peruvian green rice, paired with sweet chili Thai sauce, in a burrito. Wasn't for me but would be perfect for those into fusion. Service was very kind and quick. You can let them know if you'd like to pay cash, before they bring the check, so they can remove the credit card service charge they add. Prices were different on the check than the online menu (no paper menus), so they should update that ASAP. Overall the prices were higher than you'd expect, but again, for being in a low-option corner of the neighborhood, it could be well-worth it for others.

Yelp
So far I've been to Fresco's twice and both times were fantastic. The food is so good and the service was excellent.. additionally the music that was playing were straight up bops and happy hour goes until 8! What could get better than that?!

Yelp
The place was very welcoming and the ambiance is really cool. The vibes was very lit and our waiter Yesenia was very sweet and gave us a bunch of good options for food and drinks She was very friendly and knows her menu very well! She is the best!! Mind you this is me and my friend first time coming here The vibe is 100/100

Yelp
3.5 stars Gave it a 4 for great service! Came for lunch on a sunday and it was empty, which worked out for us since we had a baby in tow. The corn appetizer was delicious. We got the ropa vieja over nachos which isn't on their menu but it was really tasty and worth the upcharge! I wish they allowed us to mix the tacos but you must order them in 3s so we got the al pastor and the fish. I had high hopes but it was just okay. The al pastor was too sweet, needed more acid. The fish had too much breading. Overall a decent spot for apps and drinks! And its close to the noguchi museum if you need something to eat after!

Yelp
We came on a Friday and there was a decent number of people there, especially to partake in the HH specials. My bf ordered a beer and I tried their sangria. The sangria was pleasant though it was slightly on the sweeter side if you enjoy that as well. Food wise, we ordered Los Tres Amigos (grilled chicken, steak and shrimp skewers) and a side of chips and guac to start. For our entrees, my bf got the surf and turf (shrimp and steak) tacos and I ordered the fish tacos. These came with the house sauces on the side (green was mild and red had a nice kick). The skewers that we had as appetizers surprised me since I wasn't sure if the grilled chicken would be tough or not (it was actually cooked well and juicy). The fish tacos were crispy and delicious. I added both house sauces and like the mild with the fish tacos though a little bit of the red mixed with the green sauce gave it a pleasant kick. My bf enjoyed the steak tacos as well but liked the fish tacos slightly more! Our waiter was really friendly and helpful when we had questions or asked for recommendations. We definitely plan to come back! This place would also be good for groups depending on where you sit.

Yelp
One of the best places in the neighborhood for some good Mexican food. We showed up a little late (an hour before closing) and had to order right away bc they close the kitchen 30min before closing time but nonetheless everything was good. The chicken empanadas are much better than the beef. The burger was really good and the grilled chicken burrito was fantastic! I'm not a huge fan of their drinks but I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more stuff.

Keirina C.

Yelp
No words for how basic the food was. Bland and dry. It's so over priced - never again.

JiHae L.

Yelp
I give it 4 stars because I deducted for their service. We arrived and was told to pick a table for two. We did and was told about the happy hour menu which ends at 8pm. I ordered the red sangria off the happy hour menu. The waitstaff was lacking as they wouldn't check up on us often enough. Instead they would forget to refill waters and had to be told multiple times. Forget about bringing the check and etc... The food was good which is while the service was lacking I let it slide a bit. Decided not to order appetizers as we opted instead for desserts. For entree I ordered the Chuleta Al Caballo which is a marinated sliced skirt steak tossed in their house-made chimichurri sauce. I ate every last bit and had nothing left over. I would like to try their fajitas and other entrees on the menu next time. For dessert we ordered Mexico City and the Churros. The Mexico City was really delicious - it had Fried Banana Caramel cheesecake eggroll, tossed in cinnamon sugar. It's drizzled with dulce de leche sauce served with vanilla ice cream. The churros was alright nothing amazing so if you want to try a dessert try Mexico City.

Yelp
Was really excited to try this place with all the positive reviews. In fairness, we ordered take out so maybe that's the reason for the poor quality. We ordered 12 tacos of various meats to go, churros, the skewers, a surf n turf burrito, and chips and salsa. The skewers are pretty small but tasty. None of the tacos stayed together - all 12 fell apart as soon as we went to eat them, which was disappointing. The meats were good but the serving sizes are skimpy as well to say the least. The churros are really good, and the chips and salsa aren't bad either. The burrito unfortunately was not good and we requested it without beans and it was loaded with beans and mostly rice and had legit almost zero meat in it (I know this cause I cut the burrito open and picked out the meat inside it). Also didn't receive all the salsas we ordered with our to go order which was a bummer. I would maybe give it another try in person considering the raving reviews but will most likely not be ordering from here online again due to poor quality and small servings for the price.

Yelp
The bartender running the karaoke on Sunday night, 1/21/24 was not only rude, but also couldn't get his S together and get the music working properly for the karaoke. That same bartender called our table out because we didn't clap lol. Which was soooo odd and weird. And catty. Should be called Fresco's CUNT-ina, because that's how the staff acts. (Our waitress was super sweet though).

Yelp
I dined at Fresco's Cantina today and was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the impeccable service. I had an amazing experience at this restaurant . The customer service was outstanding, and the food was sooooo delicious exactly what I was looking for. My son and I had trio tacos, beef nachos with a frozen strawberry Margarita, What a HITTTT... I am very picky with restaurant food and drinks and may I say ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! "I was so pleased with the service I received from the server". I loveeee the owner Adrian, he was so attentive and kind. 'Overall, my dining experience with this restaurant was outstanding, and I can't wait to come back!! Highly recommended!!

Yelp
this place is in the neighborhood so my friends and i decided to finally give it a try. the food was definitely tasty and we ordered a wide variety of different dishes and every one at the table was quite satisfied. the margs obv were so good too and they had a variety of flavors available. my one qualm was that we came in as a group of six and were not made aware of the automatic 18% surcharge - which would have been fine except 1. we didnt know about it 2. their machine prompts us with a tip option after payment as well. because we were unaware of it charging us the first time we paid double the tip and didnt realize till we got home. this tactic honestly feels scammy and very offputting as we were planning to become regulars here. definitely think its something that should have been pointed out to us.

Yelp
Ordered delivery through Uber Eats from this restaurant on a Friday evening. Low delivery fee and not too long of a window before it arrived still hot at our doorstep. Between two people: had the Cantina Nachos ($8.80), Sesame-Ginger Chicken Tacos ($15.40), and a side of jalapenos ($1.10). Nachos are a hefty layering of warm tortilla chips, nacho cheese, sour cream, guacamole, beans, and tomatoes. We ordered the jalapenos since the dish didn't come with it, providing the extra kick we like. Chips are a bit stale, but softened up with all the ingredients loaded on top. Tacos are three to an order, a tangy/sweet sauce covering sliced chicken breast and some greens. Overall basic flavor but the tortillas are also stale. Side of lime helped a bit, and added some of the guac from the nachos for more flavor. As some other Mexican delivery options, we have noticed a lot of stale tortillas/chips when ordering. Probably better in person rather than delivery.

Yelp
Omg!!! What an awesome time my girls and I had at the Drag Brunch today! The food was yummy! We had the salmon salad and churro French toast, and the Sangria was off the hook as well, service was great and Hibiscus and Catrina Lovelace put on a wonderful, fun show!!! We will def be back! Hats off the the staff of Fresco's Cantina!!

Sara B.

Yelp
I thought that this would be brunch with a little drag show action on the side. Instead, what we got was a full out drag show with a side of brunch. And ya know what? I'm here for it. The drag show was nearly three hours long, and it was entertaining and impressive the entire time. We were treated to a medley of live song + dance performances, ranging from everything to disco, broadway show tunes and pop. There were props, costume changes and lots of audience interaction to keep everyone on their toes. I was here for a friend's birthday celebration and this was the perfect setting. Oh, and shouts to Gloria Swansong + Golden Delicious who were both pretty darn amazing. Drag show aside, the brunch deal here is solid and the food is tasty. For $35 dollars you get an entree plus a large carafe of either sangria or mimosa. I went with a chicken quesadilla which was cheesy and delicious and came with guac, pico and sour cream. I also opted to order a mojito instead of a carafe and it was super fresh with lots of mint and lime. My only complaint is that it took a long time for our food to come out. We sat at noon and didn't eat until around 1:30. But the ambiance and drag show is so great that it really doesn't matter too much. At the end of the meal they also brought out a cake with sparklers for my friend who was celebrating her birthday which was a really nice touch! If you are looking for a super fun brunch experience with above average food + drinks and an amazing drag show, look no further. Fresco's Cantina is where it's at.

Yelp
Ordered the chicken parm tacos and should have thought twice! It was not necessarily my cup of tea...the tortilla was also cooked/hard so it was a bit crunchy. I probably would've preferred it soft. It did with with 3 tacos and was fairly priced but I think sticking chicken parm to the original dish is how I'll go moving forward! It was a bit dry and the chicken wasn't cooked the best and as "fresh".

Christine O.

Yelp
Went with girlfriends for the drag brunch on Sunday & had an absolute blast! Food & drinks were great. Service was slow to start but attribute that to them seating the entire restaurant all at once for the show. Will definitely go back! Don't forget to bring money to tip the talent ;)

Shelley K.

Yelp
My daughter took me to this Gem! The hospitality was everything and although I didn't order the Fidh Tacos.. after tasting I truly regret not doing so. Those were the best Fish Tacos I have ever tasted. The dri KS were also very delicious. I will definitely recommend.

Mark J.

Yelp
Well.... it's Tuesday, 8:30pm 10/13/2020... wanted to try out the Taco Tuesday and was told by the hostess the time was up. . Clearly on the FB page said It was all night. Wanted to order a special drink.. nope.. time was up. Wanted Nacho Cheese.. which willing to pay extra for.. was not available... Was anything available on the menu? I've come here for brunch many times and never felt like the hostesses didn't want us to be there or was upset that we showed up. Will I come again.. yes! When she's not there. 1 for the service 5 for the food

Yelp
We just came to try the food and margaritas on a quiet Saturday evening in October. I'd love to check out drag brunch sometime, though! We ate outside as it was just warm enough to do so, and nowadays we prefer to whenever we can. There were a few other groups outdoors as well, and I think some additional groups eating inside. The service couldn't have been prompter or nicer. Our server seemed happy to offer recommendations and also seemed to genuinely care what we thought of our dishes and drinks. We both started with margaritas on the rocks: Mine was a tasty cream of coconut margarita and my friend's was a spicy version of a classic marg with a hot pink salt rim. Both were good, but I think I'd give an edge to the delicious spicy version, which featured a hot pink salt rim and a noticeable but tolerable spice level from the fresh jalapeno. I ordered the Cubano al Pastor tacos, which comprise tender pulled pork, sweet pineapple marmalade, and a luscious cilantro crema to top it all off. They were great and reasonably priced. My friend got the fajita platter with chicken, which came with rice and black beans, a pepper and onion mixture, and sauce toppings. I tried a few bites and thought the peppers tasted incredibly fresh. I also appreciated the addition of maduros. Love those sweet, sticky plantains to death.

Yelp
Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! When my favorite sisters and I arrived at the restaurant, it was a packed restaurant from people sitting in their seats to the back of the bar area. Good thing my boo boo Andrea made a reservation for tonight's dinner but our table wasn't ready as some guy greeted us in the blue tee. We stood outside and watched the performance. Andrea got a great Groupon deal that she paid $35 for $50 worth of food and drinks https://www.groupon.com/biz/long-island-city-ny/frescos-cantina! Make sure you show your server the Groupon deal first before you start ordering. The same guy came by and showed us to a two-seater table while my favorite sisters were cramped as we waited for the table next to us to leave so that was annoying. Thank god for the people on my left...paid and got up to leave. For the table, our server placed a plate of tortilla chips and salsa (a tad spicy). Drinks: Strawberry Margarita Passion Fruit Margarita A tall glass of Vodka for me...nope just water lol Food: Bestie Diana - Carne Asada (medium well) Me - Steak Fajita Platter (medium well) no avocado mayo...I am allergic to avocado but they still gave me the avocado mayo as a third dipping sauce. The steak was yummy but not enough for me as there was just a tad too many peppers and onions. I am not a big fan of sweet plantains but I still ate them...my preference will always be tostones. Mmmm yummy Peruvian Green Rice and Cuban Black Beans. Andrea - Chuleta Al Caballo Towards the end of our dinner, the staff started handing out boxes to everyone dining in the restaurant. Ooooo we scored mule mugs and t-shirts! Definitely a fun spot to hang out with your friends or bring your date ;)

Yelp
While visiting my hometown Astoria Queens, NY, I had time to catch up with my bestie, George and his husband, Richard for dinner. We couldn't decide what to eat and ended up here for our 1st time close to their house. We were greeted by our waiter Adrian and later by his partner Brian who owns the establishment. As an appetizer, we started off with the Michoacán guacamole which the avocado was fresh and delicious. As an entree, I had the Pastelon bowl. George had the crispy chicken bowl. Richard had the trinity tacos. They were all delicious. We had room to spare for dessert and shared the mini churros. On Sundays, this place brings the party with their drag queen brunch. One needs to make reservation as it's popular. So if you are in the area and looking for great food and some entertainment, this is the place!

Christian H.

Yelp
Amazing place! Following covid-19 protocols which is important to me. The food was great! Def coming back. Thank you Yelp for suggesting this place.

Mira S.

Yelp
I almost never do five stars on a first visit, but I could see this place getting five after a few visits. I tried the acquits gorda, pastelon, and Phuket tacos. The menu is interesting, both with respect to tacos and drinks, and in a good way. The tacos I tried were all very good. The shrimp in the Phuket were tiny, which wasn't what I expected, and that one was less flavorful than I expected based on the menu--I could pass on that to try some others on another visit. They bring out chips and salsa when you sit down, which is not so common any more, and is a nice touch. The chips have and herb on them, probably cilantro, although didn't taste it specifically after loading up the chips with salsa. Friendly and prompt service. I imagine they fill up on evenings, by mid-afternoon when they open is easy. I wish "secret sauce" could, for once, mean something other than thousand island. Unfortunately, his isn't the spot for that. I don't do mayo, but I decided to roll he dice here. It looks like water thousand island. On the upside, their salsa and hot sauces are very good. The hot sauces come in unlabeled boxes and might be housemade. Reasonable prices, although they make sense for the area. $4-$5 per taco, about $10 for drinks. Three tacos or so is plenty for a lighter meal, so you're probably looking at at least $30 per person. They have guest WiFi, which is a nice bonus--ask for the password.

Yelp
WOW.....Out of this world latin fusion Mexican. I decided to meet up with a friend here last night for food and drinks and I'm glad i did. This place is a great new edition to the neighborhood, especially when theirs really nothing around this part of long island city. Happy hour is from 3-8 and the mojitos and margarita drink special are great. The owner is very down to earth and has 2 other successful businesses in the bronx, which one of them is latin fusion resteraunt to dine in, while the other one is a more buy fun on the run establishment (bodega). I ordered 3 soft shell tacos and i asked the bartender to give me his top 3 favorite. I ordered one chicken, and one pork, and one beef. The pork taco by far was my favorite. The food menu here is very small for the time being. The owner wants to test out what people like and don't like. New entrees will be added to the menu soon the owner told me, so i cant wait. The food for the more part is solid. I also ordered polenta with with pernil on it and it was good. The texture was a little to heavy for me, but for the most part it was something different that I enjoyed. The bartended and servers are all awesome and very attentive as far S getting your food and drinks out. Everything is pretty much prepped, which i love so expedited the food is fast. My food came fast and the drinks were made fast and very good. Great new new edition to long island city and also great location. With all new developments going up i the neighborhood near by this place is in a great location and i wish them well. Overall solid new Mexican spot to check out in the area.

Vladislav F.

Yelp
I couldn't even comment on the dinner because we never got our food after an hour sitting there. The waitress ignored us the entire time and took 30 plus minutes to even take our order.

Bill H.

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere! Great Drag Show ! Food barely cooked way OVERPRICED drinks were GOOD. Would have given 5 Stars A BIG BUT HERE BEWARE of WAITER poor service they tap on a 18% automatic gratuity which is FINE I GUESS and they do not give you your CHANGE back at all if you pay in cash . For you the customer you should be able to make your own decision yourself and decide whether you want to tip more than 18% for Bad Service or not . Waiter skimmed or conned . They have the Ba#* to ask you by CROWDING you and following you if you stand up IS everything okay ? It's definitely not OK . Im not CHEAP but I am a professional and definitely not STUPID . I'm an Astoria native many other great places to try . I wish the manager the best of luck he or she may not know .

Olivia V.

Yelp
The food was decent, but the tacos were small in size, and honestly overpriced for what they are. Not authentic Mexican food at all if that's what you're going for. The drinks are good though, so they have that going for them I guess. overall, a very mediocre experience. Nothing special to truly make this place stand out from others.

Gabriella A.

Yelp
Super cute, tiny, unique find in Astoria! Was craving some tacos and a cold beer and this was exactly what I needed! We started with the three amigos appetizer (not pictured) which was steak, chicken, and shrimp. All great and cooked well. The entrees we had were 1. a porkchop with a fried egg, green plantain rice, plantain side, and beans. 2. Tacos were mahi mahi, slow roasted pork, and beef and plantain taco. The beef and plantain taco was by far one of the best tacos I've ever eaten!!!!! Servers were great, only complaint was the food took a while to come out. But other than that it was a great find. The decor is super neat and the vibe was laid back; perfect for a chill friday dinner.

Farah K.

Yelp
Visited this spot on a Saturday. Place is fairly new (less than 10mos) and nicely decorated. One of the owners (super friendly and attentive) took our orders. Food was mediocre as I had better Mexican food elsewhere but given the excellent service, I am optimistic this place will succeed!

Hali R.

Yelp
If you want to feel welcome in an establishment and have AMAZING food this place is for you. This place is queer and Black owned and EXACTLY where you should be spending your money in Astoria!

Yelp
Fresco's Cantina seems to have a lot of potential but food, service, and price wise they appear to be barely touching the surface. I arrived with a Groupon ( $25 for $50) on a Wednesday night and I was seated by two lovely waitresses who quickly made me aware of their current happy hour specials. I started my night with a Cantina Mule ($7); it had a strong passion fruit tangy flavor but I couldn't taste any alcohol. The ambiance, décor, and vibe was modern and very upbeat which I liked very much. Apparently Wednesday night is karaoke night and since there weren't much patrons dining some of the the staff took it upon themselves to do most of the karaoke. For appetizers my date and I shared 3 tacos: el pastelon, al pastor, and the pollo Mumbai. My favorite was the pastelon; it was sweet from the plantains and savory from the meat and cheese. The al pastor taco was terrible, personally I wouldn't even call that an al pastor taco (it was that bad). I'm all about paying homage to different cultures and food which is why I had high hopes of the pollo Mumbai taco but sadly I was disappointed. The curry flavor of the chicken in the taco was pretty decent but the entire taco was covered in so much contija cheese it practically killed the whole taco. For our entrees we had the pancho villa burger cooked medium well and the carne asada. The carne asada wasn't really that great; I think I enjoyed the plantains and rice and beans more than the carne. However, the pancho villa burger and fries were fantastic! The burger was cooked exactly how I wanted and it was still so very juicy. The fries were very good as well and the 3 dipping sauce was a major plus. After dinner the staff seemed too preoccupied with karaoke to offer us dessert menus so we just asked for the check when we could get a hold of someone's attention. The check arrived with the difference, 18% gratuity, and tax which came out to $34. The Groupon also had a restriction where we had to choose 2 entrees which I find to be extremely nonsensical. The purpose of exposing your business on Groupon is to lure fresh new customers and I assure you new customers aren't looking for limitations, restrictions, and or to be imposed a 18% gratuity for subpar service.

Yelp
I remember the first time we came here. Fell in love with the decor, food and staff!! Go Inside and say Hi! You'll feel a fantastic vibe and lots of flavorful food. Love. Love.

Yelp
Not impressed There's so much good mexican food out there, I'm confident you can find better. Most of the dishes were consumed by grilled mixed peppers. Quality of meats were poor. Parking may be a challenge - residential area

Yelp
Drag brunch and a hot daddy making tacos! Worth the stop and panty drop! The food is delicious! Gay pride is celebrated here! Love it!

Yelp
Nestled between tall and small apartment buildings and away from the heart of Astoria and Broadway area is this hidden gem. It's a whole 'nother level of freshness--or should I say Fresco-ness. Covid kept most of us at home and we were lucky to find Fresco Cantina last year. From their delicious burritos to savory churros we found more than comfort in their meals made with amor. Today we stepped into another dimension of cuisine. Aiden was our waiter and he and the others made our Saturday afternoon into evening a time to remember. Kudos to the chef for crafting food filled with such flavor and freaking fresh. I will be coming back tomorrow for brunch!

Yelp
Easily the best pork chops I've had. The Tacos and Margaritas are effin' amazing and authentic. The decor of the place is funky and yet cozy. Service is great but place can get packed on weekend brunches. They've gained a fan in me.

Yelp
Not much around as think only restaurant on block. Had the tacos which require minimum of three which can be different. Tried the the pork, mahi mahi and the beef with plantains. All were tasty and well balanced. The mojito has plenty of Mint and saw them making the frozen margarita which is made with a good tequila and orders one. Nice vibe and owner was there. Service from bartender was friendly.

Yelp
This is absolutely my favorite restaurant. Customer service is always on point. Food is beyond delicious and if you go for any kind of entertainment from drag brunch, bingo, comedy nights, music--it's a whole vibe!!!!!!!

Yelp
This restaurant is amazing and filled with good food, vibes and drinks. I had this place booked marked and didn't even remember but I saved it for a reason because I am a fan. I came here this past Wednesday at around 4ish. The restaurant was empty so it was just my friend and I but that didn't bother us at all. Our waiter Luis was awesome! Filled with personality and very attentive. Helped us through the menu and gave us good suggestions that did not disappoint. They have happy hour so it was $7 for select drinks. They have a lot of different flavors of mojitos and margaritas. I tried the passion-ginger mojito and it was so good. Refreshing and crisp, I could have had at least 2 more if I wasn't headed somewhere else. For appetizers, we ordered guacamole and chips and empanadas (my favs lol) the guacamole was just what I wanted. Filled with chunks of avocados and the taste was on point. Our empanadas were cooked perfectly, piping hot and filled with flavor. Just yum, the sauce they give it with was just as good. For our entrees, we each ordered two tacos. There are a few different kinds of tacos and they all sounded so delicious. I got the Pastelon taco and the Pollo Mumbai taco. My favorite was the Pastelon taco, the meat was seasoned well and everything meshed well. Sweet taste of the plantains with the savoriness of the meat was two thumbs up! You can also upgrade your taco into a bowl or burrito, I really wanna try the bowl the next time I return. Luis mentioned brunch that includes a show so good food and awesome entertainment, sign me up now!

Yelp
We love this place. If you are looking for authentic Mexican style tacos, this isn't it. These are fantastic fusion tacos, burritos, and bowls. Drinks are large and in charge. Our favorite tacos are the playa del carmen, the pastelon and the chicken parm fyi. I would skip the salad, the yuca fritas are ok, I like more of the crispy type. Great for pick up.

Yelp
WOW!!!! Been dying to try this place but it's a bit of a trek from Long Island. Today was the perfect day since I had the whole day free! I love Mexican food and I'm always looking for great tacos and elote "Mexican street corn". This place did not disappoint. We made a reservation and were seated as soon as we walked in. Our server was very attentive and assisted us with any questions we had. Food came out at a good pace. For appetizer we started out with the esquites al fresco which is Mexican street corn and it was off the cob so no mess! It was delicious the cilantro cream on top really gave it that extra touch of flavor. We then got the chicken flautas "taquitos". Came with shredded lettuce tomatoes and sour cream and were nice and crunchy. For entree I got the Phuket shrimp tacos which had sweet chili sauce and were different then usual shrimp tacos I go for but they were delicious and I added some hot sauce and lime for an extra kick. My sister got the pollo robado tacos which you can choose crispy or grilled chicken. She chose the crispy and it was topped with lettuce tomatoes and cilantro cream which I love. We both exchanged a taco and I was pleased to say I usually don't go for chicken tacos but these were so flavorful and not dry. For drinks we got two henny coladas and they did not hold back on the liquor! All in all great experience, great food, great service and great location. The place was very warm and welcoming and I heard they do private parties! Definitely would think about doing a Private party here! Thank you guys! It was so worth the travel to get here! Everything was so good I wasn't able to take great pictures since I remembered while already digging in but I did attach the ones I took!

Yelp
Sunday lunch was fun, entertaining and the food was good. The entertainment was for adults because of the content but they said that is just on Sunday on other days language is cleaner. So I def want to go try out another day during the week.

Yelp
Amazing delicious friendly- this is a great place for food and drinks. Came on a whim and found myself being glad we choose to stop in. I had a margarita and a mojito along with a fish and shrimp tacos and of course the guacamole all tasty well seasoned and cooked just right. The restaurant adhered to social distancing and protocols. The staff was friendly attentive throughout and offered great suggestions. The music added to the ambience. Definitely recommend to stop in and enjoy!
