The fish is fresh as you can literally pick it out and they walk it over to the area to cook it.
Very basic setup. You walk in, choose your fish (menu is on the barrels in the middle of the store) and walk around the display to pay (let them know how you want your fish seasoned, head in or off, and how you want it cooked). While you are doing that, your fish is traveling to the other side to be cooked. They give you a little number buzzer and you can choose your seat outside. When the buzzer beeps, you pick up your fish. Grab some tops while you're there because you may not be able to finish your meal. The self service stuff are all in reach. The ketchup and cocktail sauce you have to ask for, plastic ware dispenser is right by the pickup area, napkins and hot sauce on the tables. The food comes out on trays to help transport everything.
I had the red snapper, fried, and filleted. I split it with my mom and still had to take some home. My daughter had the fish tacos (3) and she brought 1 home. Sauce was nice. Fish was flaky. My nephew had the lobster croqueta sandwich. He said that it was amazing. My brother and his girlfriend had the snapper with the head on. Barely fit on the tray. For appetizers we had conch fritters (soft, full of conch, and quite tasty), tostones (they must have been good because they were gone before I could get one), fries, and black beans and rice.
I cannot wait to go back. I will also go by so that I can get fresh fish to take home.
The ONLY downside of this place is the parking. The experience is worth the parking headache though.
