I am not one who eats vegan food, ever but I absolutely love this place. The vegan nachos are perfection with so much flavor and I love to pair it with different kombuchas they have one tap. My wife orders the Mediterranean bowl which has some awesome grilling cheese and beet hummus, which adds a very colorful twist. My mother had the grilled cheese and really liked it, as well. I would highly recommend if you are looking for something new and different!

Very cool vibe. Bright, clean and inviting. The food was delicious! There are many vegetarian and vegan options if that's your preference. Lots of flavors to explore. It was hard to decide what to get because so many of the dishes looked appetizing. The self-serve area with water and condiments was well stocked and clean. Will return soon.

A year later and it's still just as amazing! We don't get out this way often, but we were so happy to be stopping by again today. The inside has been remodeled and is absolutely beautiful- fresh, open spaces. We also need to give a huge shout out and thank you. This past year I've dealt with numerous new allergies and food sensitivities, leaving my diet severely restricted. They were incredibly helpful in sorting through the menu and finding a perfect accommodation that I truly enjoyed. It has been difficult dining out because of my limitations, and they went above and beyond. Thank you! We cannot wait to get back again. Our first visit there and we cannot wait to go back. Fresh, flavorful., great atmosphere and helpful staff. You can create your own meal from so many fresh and tasty ingredients, or choose from their menu. They also have numerous drink and smoothie options. Clean up, everything can be composted and goes in one bin. It's a great all around place to be and an even better place for a healthy, delicious meal.

Incredible food, incredibly fast. Great flavors, quality ingredients in a beautiful atmosphere. Very satisfying. After coming here for three years, I can confidently say that this place just keeps getting better and better! Their menu is wonderful and their specials are to die for! We’ve had one small mishap in the years that we’ve come here and the customer service from that incident was exceptional. They’ve hit the perfect balance of using quality local ingredients, and having a fun and exciting diverse menu. Always enticing!!

Delicious! Vegan and vegetarian for my mom, daughter, and me, with meat dishes for my husband :) All so fresh and flavorful! Fast, friendly service. Helpful people at the counter. Love the compostable containers and utensils for takeout! Nice indoor & outdoor dining, too. Clean, open, with fresh flowers. Very nice - We'll be back!

Where to start with how amazing this place is. The food is amazing. I have literally had everything in their menu. Now to try all the new amazing creations they just added. I have a passion for cooking and eating whole foods to fuel my body and this place is something I thought was only a dream. And if the food wasn't beyond amazing the staff is hands down the best. I always like to go and eat in just to surround myself with the attitude of each person who works there.

Wowowowowow! I was really, really impressed with the menu. We ordered an appetizer, a smoothie, and two entrees and they were all amazing. This is the kind of restaurant I know that I will be craving the food from and want to keep coming back!

I really enjoyed this place. Everything tastes so good and as the name suggests, fresh. The sweet potato nachos were my favorite, but the togarashi fries and sunny bowl were really solid too! I added chicken to my bowl and it was one of the tastiest chicken breasts I’ve ever had. Ambiance is good, with the one caveat that they’re right next to Jackson Ave so it’s pretty noisy sitting outside, but that’s obviously no fault to the restaurant. Overall I highly recommend checking this place out.

The Mediterranean bowl was so, so good, and so healthy. The Ginger pop was also nicely sharp and spicy. Service was friendly. The dining room is comfortable and spacious.

Great spot for good, healthy, whole foods. Good vegan and vegetarian menu. The staff is always really friendly and helpful for indecisive people like me. They are quick to offer recommendations that never disappoint. They recently remodeled the dining room (within the past year or so). On my last visit, I ordered the vegan noodle bowl with rice noodles, chili lemongrass tofu, avocado, cucumber, lettuce, carrot, sprouts, cashew, purple cabbage, and Thai basil. The warm noodles with all the fresh veggies was so good. Fresh Forage is a fast casual spot, but don't let that turn you away. Came here on a Tuesday for a casual lunch and I am surprised to say...finally a good poke bowl in Ann Arbor! I had the tuna poke bowl and I thought it was really well-balanced and healthy. It's a nice space with a lot of plants and plenty of parking. I look forward to coming here again.

My review is only based off a delivered order. I got the Korean bowl, which almost hit the spot. It had really great ingredients but ate a bit dry unfortunately. The Korean corn dogs did not quite taste Korean and instead just came across like a dressed up hot dog. The fresh and green drink was good but was not worth the cost. I want to like this place so much more, but it just missed the mark for me.

Delicious food and super friendly staff! Loved the guacamole toast with egg. It has a very unique taste, not your typical toast. My husband said the breakfast burrito was fantastic!

I loved my tuna salad bowl and my wife really enjoyed her beet salad . I'll have to take her word for it because, despite loving Dwight Schrute, I really don't like beets. I know they supposedly good for you, but I gotta avoid them. My hot chocolate was wonderful too. The service was great, but be patient because they weren't incredibly fast. Oh! Root beer kombucha was fantabulous.

As a fry connoisseur, these fries were impeccable. I also especially enjoyed their peach burrata salad. What I DID NOT enjoy was their Strawberry Tea Latte. It tasted like floral milk and was quite expensive and lukewarm, when I wanted it to be iced.

FIVE STAR service, focaccia bread sandwhich, ingredients were so fresh and delicious, talk about a selection as well! Chef's kiss!! Definitely making the hour drive back again!

I'm so glad I tried Fresh Forage! My pita was delicious. The employees were super nice and my wonderful food was ready I less than 5 minutes. I was there at the end of lunch rush and all the unoccupied tables were spotless.

What a treat to find a fast food place that actually serves healthy food that also tastes delicious. I don't live near Ann Arbor but if I did, this would be a weekly visit (at least). Mediterranean bowl was so good, sweet potato nachos also delicious. My husband got the Korean bowl. He said it was very good except for the pork belly which was pretty much all fat. But still.... Everything else was great, including service.

To be fair I was warned off by a friend who lives close to this establishment. The kombucha on tap was very tasty but everything else was uninspired expensive.

Delish! You have a great thing going. My daughter and split the tuna bowl and caprese salad and loved every bite. Will come back again when in town.

Fresh Forage is where I go to when I want to treat myself to some really good food and I've never been disappointed. The ambiance is very nice inside and outdoor seating is also available. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable about everything on their menu. I've attached photos of my three most recent meals and found them all highly enjoyable.

Online ordering was simple with their website & you also receive text updates on when your food is ready for pick up. The togarashi fries were great and I recommend anyone ordering from here to try them. My sandwich was good but it only had a few small pieces of serrano ham for $16.

Ingredients are quality. Service is snobbish, ambiance is non existent, price is outlandish for what you get. Staff must be poorly paid due the the pressure for a tip. I used to enjoy this place. I probably won't return.

Well, You know that this place is great if the teenage boy wants to return! This time, while he stuck with his prior choice, I ventured out. I decided on the Mediterranean bowl. I highly recommend this if you are like me and love a meal with numerous tastes and textures. It was comprised of spinach falafel, beet hummus, za'atar cucumber and tomatoes, quinoa, roasted sweet potatoes, red lentils, kale salad, pita and grilled halloumi. It really delivered in terms of diversity. The dressing in the kale salad was tahini based, yet had a subtle honey mustard tone. The cucumbers had a little too much oil for my liking, but I think it would be perfect for most. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly , as usual. Overall it was a very healthy option and I will be returning to enjoy it.

Back again! I swear I come back every time they update with a new menu item: Fish tacos are back and pumpkin smoothies!!! You can see in the pic that the fish tacos have a large meaty piece and the pumpkin smooth tastes all pumpkin and good health. (Not the syrupy, dessert-like crap at "smoothie" stores) Love this place!

This is a go-to place for me. The food is fresh and always hits the spot. Although it is more expensive, you're paying for fresher ingredients and more locally-sourced produce. On my rotation is their poke, KBBQ bowl, Mediterranean bowl, and green goddess salad. Great place to catch up with friends.

Exactly what I was craving after a 12 hour fast. The Sicilian was spicy and sweet. The Pork Belly special was delicious with just enough heat with those jalapeños. Fries, well they are fries so... Thanks, Brian, I mean Dave.

I really like fresh forage but their recent price hike will make me look elsewhere most days I used to come nearly every day but I simply can't justify spending $25 for lunch (and more than 10 for a smoothie in Michigan!) With that said, if you are looking for good quality, real food (not processed crap), CoreLife and Fresh Forage are really the only options on the west side of Ann Arbor that are fast. I typically do CoreLife because I can get out of there for 11-13 dollars for a quality meal.

I loved this place! Their salad was delish! Lots of flavor and perfect! The watermelon and strawberry drinks were delicious and refreshing! Food: 10/10 Customer Service: 10/10

Today we got to try 3 wonderful drinks from fresh forage. We had the watermelon fizz mocktail, orange cream and the tiramisu frappe. I loved all three and my favorite one is the watermelon fizz, it was so refreshing, I will definitely be back again.

I came here for my birthday dinner as I had heard great things and it's my type of cuisine. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients that are healthy but flavorful. I got the Mediterranean bowl and subbed the pita for the GF wonton crisps which was an awesome twist. They added a delicious crunch and were useful to scoop up the kale/tomato/seasoned lentil salad. The spinach falafel is GF (!), and was lighter than chickpea falafel but still filling. I also enjoyed the beet hummus accompanying the bottom of the plate. My roommates got the Korean beef bowl and were satisfied with the portions and flavors; there were lots of add ins that would've been extra at other places but weren't here. I thought this bowl was a bit on the basic end, but was still huge and tasty. My other room mate got the ahi tuna nachos. I enjoyed them the most; I thought the combination of flavors worked well in a unique way! The real winner was our server. She introduced us to the menu, was more than kind when waiting on us and ensured we had everything we needed. She also let us know about the new spring menu dropping. When I told her it was my birthday, she offered me a free loaf of the chocolate loaf or the banana bread and I couldn't decide. She just said I can have both! How sweet! Loved it and would definitely recommend :)

An amazing experience every time!! The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is always the kindest!! (We even got free cookies today) Highly, HIGHLY recommend!!

The food here is in "bowl form" and, although it looks rather unappetizing (see my dinner photo), it's quite good. Ingredients are fresh and they're locally sourced - in fact, some of the veggies appear to be grown within the restaurant itself. I also like that they're compost-obsessed. They're on a mission to not take up inordinate space in a landfill, and I'm all for that. Bottom line: interesting place, food looks gross but tastes yummy.

Bowl restaurants are popping up all over town, but this has a more unique menu. The protein options are more unusual (chicken shawarma) and some are vegan friendly. The vegetables include hot (e.g., roasted beets, greens, green beans, roasted carrots, sweet potatoes) or cold (e.g., cucumbers, hummus, etc.) items. Service was fast, parking was easy, atmosphere was nice, and the person at the counter was friendly. And, all of their cups, bowls, and utensils are compostable. The only negative is that they are not near my house.

Absolutely love this place! Between the vegan blueberry muffin and the in house specialty ginger latte, I'm in love!!!!! I would've left a picture, but I ate all my food before I left a review!! So good!!

I love Fresh Forage. It's just up the road from where I get allergy shots, so it's my treat after my appointments. I've only gotten the Poke bowl so far (I'm a creature of habit), and and the Moroccan tofu, and they're both amazing!

Delicious food but it is very expensive so that was a pretty big turn off- also I wasn't a HUGE fan of the beet hummus but that may be personally my opinion and it just isn't my thing

This is a great place to eat if you own a money printer or want to prove that healthy, *affordable* restaurant food does not exist. $17 for brown rice and carrots lmfao

Lovely concept of farm-to-table. I was eager to try this place since hearing about its opening and loved everything about it. The staff were so friendly and helpful in explaining the menu, how to order, what could be customized, etc. I ordered a Korean protein bowl but had it made vegetarian with tofu and then got an egg on it. I paired with a kombucha that was recommended and all in all, it was a pretty delicious meal. They offer a wide variety of items for all dietary restrictions, plenty of sauces to top your bowls, lots of interesting kombucha on tap and their dishes and silverware are all biodegradable. It can get kind of expensive, but, at least the ingredients are fresh and you can tell they are quality ingredients. It's a shame I'm never really on the western side of town but I hope to come back to try more items soon!

Really great salad with the beet tzatziki. Very fresh ingredients and well balanced flavors. Can't wait to go back.

I love a bowl of tasty goodness so I was excited when Fresh Forage opened. I was not disappointed! I did take out and it was easy to call and order and pick up was a snap. So yes, they're a "bowl" concept, meaning tasty ingredients mixed together in a delicious, compostable bowl. They have a seasonal menu of pre-crafted bowls that include a variety of flavors, proteins, veggies, grains and more. There's Mexican inspired bowls, Asian inspired, vegetarian and vegan options, low carb/gluten free and more! You can also make your own bowl if you're in the mood for something in particular that they haven't already pre-designed. I was in the mood for basically a taco bowl so I made my own and it was fantastic. Quinoa base, a bunch of veggies, thinly sliced beef, a bit of cheese and sou cream. So tasty and so filling! For snacks and sides they sell tortilla chips, kale chips, soups, and dessert is rice pudding. Thirsty? They also have seasonal smoothies, nitro cold brew coffee, draft kombucha and natural sodas as well! Ingredients are locally sourced and seasonal, meaning that the offerings do rotate. Right now the menu is fall friendly with warm spices, squashes and root veggies, etc. Prices are a little higher because of that, but you get what you pay for. It's all fresh, nutritious, and very delicious! Also, high five to the awesome staff. I popped in right before they closed and I stupidly left my debit card there when I left and they called to tell me and kept my card safe until we were able to scoop it up the next day when they reopened.

It's a cute little cafe. I ordered a latte and a Mediterranean bowl. I didn't have high expectations, since it was a kale base. I like kale, but who really loves kale? I was surprised at How good it was! I could eat kale everyday their way! Wow. Unique and smaller menu, but everything was great and fresh. The latte was great too

It's way too pricey. The high prices don't make sense for the environment and the amount of food you get. It is a nice, chill environment with a casual diner feel but I can't justify coming here for the prices. Would give a 4-5 rating if the prices were reasonable.

What a delightful surprise! Drove into a strip mall and found a great lunch spot wile visiting University of Michigan. We ordered kombuchas on tap. Key lime ginger was my favorite. The vegan nachos were super yummy and the cob salad was fresh and delicious!

Based on reviews, I order the Mediterranean Salad. I love healthy food when it's conceptualized well but this wasn't, I'm sorry to say. It was very pretty and had potential, but ultimately it lacked acid, flavor, and integration. The tahini dressing was bland with the sweet notes, but lacked acid and salt. The beet hummus also had sweet notes and lacked acid and salt. The ingredients were not chopped properly but in huge chunks. Not only were they sometimes too big to eat, but apparently each ingredient was meant to be eaten alone? No integration of ingredients and flavors? I ordered delivery so I got my knife out and chopped up all ingredients- helped some. The cheese is delicious and salty (in a good way), but came in huge chunks. After chopping the ingredients myself the cheese did add flavor for bites with the cheese. To be fair, most restaurants in this town don't know about chopping to integrate salad ingredients. I don't think the kale had been coated in lemon and olive oil to make it less bitter and soft and stems hadn't been removed. The tomatoes need to be chopped more and more of them to add acid and flavor contrast to the dish. The cucumbers were well dressed and seasoned, but the flavor only came through if you ate them alone. Also had to chop them to integrate more. The sweet potato was a proper size and was fine. The falafel was also good and soft enough to break off a piece with your fork and grab other ingredients. The pita wasn't bad either though not like pita you would get at a Mediterranean restaurant but worked with the salad. Overall, a huge disappointment. Chopping, acid, and salt could make this a good salad. More attention to building flavor and textures with ingredients would help. Wish they had thought about what one bite tastes like. As it is, it's hard to eat and bland. I kept remembering I was eating "healthy" food. Makes me sad because it could be great.

Place is bit pricey but the quality of the food is excellent. Their menu is constantly changing but I've had couple iterations of their tuna bowl and the flavors are excellent. I highly recommend.

Very refreshing vegetarian options. Loved the Golden Buddha Iced coffee, sweet potato loaded nachos and the Mediterranean bowl ! Will be back for more !

I love fresh forage. Everything is fresh and delish. I've been going here through many different phases of make your own bowls with sauce to now some the pre chosen options and menu changes. Something that has never changed is how Delish it is. The new menu is particularly amazing. I ordered the chicken kafta and it was incredible. The kombucha and tea selection is always good. They had a fun pumpkin theme with some people carving pumpkins. Super good for vegetarians and vegans too. Highly recommend to anyone.

Great food, great selection of coffee/tea drinks. We had the chicken blt panini and the poke bowl. They were both devoured You order and pay at counter and they will bring you your food. Great outdoor seating area as well The food was fresh and prepared with care

Was on the west side today around lunchtime and decided to check this place out, as I've had my eye on it for a while. Ordered the curried seitan salad. It came quickly (the restaurant was half full and the lady at the counter said it was busier than usual). Tastewise, salad was ok. Lots of flavors that kind of cancelled each other out. The seitan was softer than most I've had. A bit pricey for what you get. $13 for a large salad . I know FF is offering higher quality ingredients in its food, but this is definitely not a place I could make a regular lunch stop. My meal today was vegan, but I'm not, so maybe next time I'll try the beef bulgogi.

I paid $20 + a tip for two small 3 ingredient smoothies. I won't do that again. I had looked forward to coming here. But the prices are beyond...

One of my favorite restaurants in Ann Arbor, and definitely my favorite quick service. I love the variety of flavors, and customization, and especially that the menu changes seasonally. I've yet to have a bowl that I did not like, and appreciate the seasonal flavors. Usually I opt for a vegetarian bowl, but just had the "Sweet Thai Chili Pork", which was great.

The best tasting food I've had in a long time! I loved this place. We had the Mediterranean kale salad, I couldn't believe how delicious and filling it was. Everything in the salad was so fresh and tasty. We also had the sweet potato nachos...couldn't get enough.... Although, it was a huge serving. The kombucha was out of this world, try the watermelon- lime, and lavender lemonade. Yum! Definitely will be back. One last note: the staff was awesome; they were very friendly, patient and attentive.

I picked up carry out from Fresh Forage on my way through Ann Arbor after finding them on Yelp, and wow was my food amazing! I got the Mediterranean bowl, altered because of a gluten allergy, with grilled chicken added. The chicken was tender and everything was fresh and flavorful. I will certainly go out of my way to get Fresh Forage next time I road trip from Ohio to Michigan.

Absolutely loved my lunch at fresh forage. While I was there enjoying my food, I was planning what I would order next time. The atmosphere is so relaxing and welcoming. I loved being surrounded by all plants. It was also cool to be able to see their micro greens growing behind the counter! There are two ways to order - you can order with a person at the counter or you can order at a tablet next to the counter. The employees are super friendly and helpful and were more than happy to answer all of my questions. Can't wait to go back again!!
