"If you’re going out with someone who says things like “This place has such good cocktails,” go to Fresh Kills. It’s where you’ll find some of the best cocktails in Williamsburg. The bartenders here take their jobs pretty seriously (but not in a pretentious sort of way), the drink list longer than most, and you can take a shot out of a tiny glass boot." - bryan kim

"There are about 100 different cocktail spots in Williamsburg, but Fresh Kills might be the best (top five, at the very least). It’s unpretentious, but the cocktails are top-of-the-line, and every bartender knows what they’re doing. So even if you don’t know what you want, they’ll figure it out with a few questions. Swing by with a few friends, and claim one of the booths. Or stop by with a date. This place gets crowded, so be prepared to wait in line at the door if you come here on a weekend." - Bryan Kim, Kenny Yang, Nikko Duren, Matt Tervooren

"Half a block away from Maison Premiere is your second stop. Fresh Kills might be much newer than Maison Premiere (it opened in 2015), but it’s another cocktail place that feels like an instant classic. This place doesn’t have any of the old-timey atmosphere - it’s just a well-designed, modern cocktail place that we’d happily go to for a nightcap every night." - katherine lewin

"Fresh Kills is one of the top cocktail bars in Williamsburg, although it isn’t the sort of place where you have to wear business casual and make a reservation several weeks in advance. Mostly, it’s just a neighborhood spot that happens to have some very good drinks, and it’s great for when you get tired of consuming pitchers of beer and long for something better. It’s a narrow space about the size of a modest fallout shelter, and it can fill up quickly, but if you get here early, you can usually claim a big booth." - bryan kim

"If you want to eat a phenomenal hot chicken sandwich without listening to a DJ or bumping into someone doing the two-step, go to this tiki-ish Williamsburg bar on the early side. If you’re into a crowded room, occasionally toppled micheladas, and the steady bump of Bronski Beat, go on the later side. Either way you’re going to have a good time." - ByThe Bon Appétit Staff

Google
I LOVE a “no menu” kind of spot. Fresh Kills delivers!! Exceptionally good cocktails and solid bartenders who can make anything your heart desires. I’d travel to come here again! Definitely give it a go.

Google
Really solid atmosphere. Perfect place to bring a friend especially if they are from out of town. The bartenders put a good deal of thought into the drinks, and the drinks they make you are all really fun and yummy. Make sure to get there early if you don’t want to wait outside on line for ~30min to one hour.

Google
An elite name in boutique cocktail culture, make sure to come early as there are no reservations and the line can get long. Even if you do have to wait, this booze forward program moves patrons along at a nice clip so you'll be inside soon enough. The atmosphere inside is always buzzing with a wide range of seating options but my favorite is always the bar seats where you can witness these master craftsman create their creative cocktails from scratch. Some important notes, there is no menu of cocktails, you merely need to tell your server/bartender what base spirit you like and the flavor profile you enjoy most. The other is that you DO NOT walk right in. Don't even open the door as there is a velvet rope there to stop you even if you do. Simply stand near the door and someone will help you soon enough. Oh and don't come here for wine and beer. That's not the vibe here.

Google
Loved the ambience and unique experience this bar offers. Thankfully didn’t have to wait for long to get in and was happy with the service I received. Described my preference to the bard tender and she came up with well mixed and strong drinks. Had a lemon drop and then a drink that infused pineapples in it (can’t remover the name). Kinda feels like there’s an unofficial menu in the waiter’s head when you state your preference but it’s interesting to see what they churn out when you share your preference.

Google
fantastic make your own cocktails. bring a vibe, tell the bartender what you’re feeling and what liquor your like (works for non alc too) and they will creat something fantastic. lounge vibes inside and perfect for a date or a night out with friends. add it to the BK cocktail crawl map.

Seckin Uysal

Google
Great atmosphere. Not goos acoustics. Don’t expect a menu to order your drink, the cool guy will ask you what you like and bring a drink. White negroni was not amazing but mezcal negroni was pretty good.

Google
SPRING BREAK 2024 baby! Best time to sneak in here on a Tuesday night. Been trying to get here for a while and always find it too hard to get in but alas spring break is the best time to get into those hard to reach BK joints! And this place did not disappoint. No menu, no problems. Tell them your vibe (or vice) and let the good times roll.

Google
So happy decided to try this place out. Upon arrival it’s a total vibe. Bear The Bartender was very personable. The drinks were phenomenal. Will definitely be back next time I am in the area.

Yelp
My friends and I literally stumbled across this place, thought it looked cool and mysterious from the outside and so wanted to check it out. This place is COOL. We had 5 of us and we squeezed into one of their booths so I wouldn't recommend this place for larger parties. There is no menu - you simply tell your server what sort of flavor profiles you like and maybe a preferred spirit. The bartenders will then make something to fit that. There were 5 of us and they nailed it for all 5 of us. I definitely recommend this bar!

Christine L.

Yelp
This is one of the coolest bars I've been to recently. It feels like a choose-your-own-adventure story, but for cocktails instead. They don't have a menu- you just tell the bartender what flavor profile you like (fruity, smoky) etc and they come up with the perfect drink. This was my first time at a bar like this so I wasn't sure what to expect but our server absolutely nailed it. I said I liked fruit but not citrus, so she asked if I liked berries (yes) and creamy drinks (yes!), and promptly brought out her version of an Ash Wednesday. I've never had one before- but it's classically made with blackberries, gin, honey, and cream, but she substituted strawberries basically making a boozy strawberry milkshake. My friend got a Penicillin after requesting something smoky and citrus- perfect for him! Each drink was $19- which I felt was very reasonable esp for the experience. The bar interior is dark and sexy, the service is knowledgeable and friendly, and the vibes are top notch. Perfect for a date night. Will 100% be back!

Yelp
Was glad I stumbled upon this spot on a Monday night after 10, so no crowds and easy entry. Low lights, natural colors enhanced by red and leather. Warm wood. No menu here. You give the server/bartender a flavor profile and they give you a drink based on that. For my first drink, I told them I like fruit, but I don't like sweet, my favorite spirit is gin, and I like herbs. This was one of those New York serendipity moments, as the bartender came around the corner grinning ear to ear, saying, "we can only make this drink one month out of the year because of the Concord grapes!" He had made me an enzoni, the original of which is made with Campari and purple concord grapes, which are only harvested between September and October. Most of the time, people sub green grapes, which is a TOTALLY different thing. My other drinks, I told them I liked pineapple, orange, rosemary, basil. And over the night I got a couple more great drinks with flavors I loved (of course, the drinks were composed with me in mind). At the end of the night, the bartender did a shot with me. The bill wasn't bad at all. I'll be thinking about that enzoni for a whole year until I get to have another.

Yelp
Fresh Kills is hands down the best cocktail bar in Williamsburg. They have no menu--just tell the bartenders what you like, and they'll craft something incredible every time. The drinks are expertly balanced, creative, and always on point. The vibe is intimate and relaxed, making it the perfect spot for a date night or a laid-back evening with friends. If you're a cocktail lover, this place is a must-visit!

Anna K.

Yelp
The cocktails are beyond! There is no menu you can just ask to the server and the bartender will make you a nice one just for you! All were amazing and refreshing!! All the sheets and tables are real leather on. You can smell it fancy! Less blight and good mood! Very recommend for a date :)

Yelp
It's been 8 months and unfortunately I still remember my experience here; my girlfriend convinced me to come after pitching me this portlandia-esque bar, and I thought okay, cool, who isnt down for a little intrigue and mystery when it comes to a night out and cocktails? We went with a friend and the server was rude off the bat, she seemed to be having a very bad day and brought it to work and DID NOT want to kiki with us girls. Mind you, we were sober coming in so there wasn't any reason to be pressed about serving us. We told the server what we prefer, typical girly non herbal drinks- something fruity and frothy, a sour would've done just fine. All three of us were served gin based botanical cocktails that tasted like licking blood off of a freshly varnished hardwood floor. When we let our server know that all of our cocktails were unbearable, she rolled her eyes and huffed and asked why what we didnt like about them, we explained, she fought back. Im not sure why it got her in a such a mood but she REALLY did not want to have any drinks remade. After 5 minutes of back and forth she served us all cosmos practically threw them down on the table, half of mine spilled on my shirt and I had to go to the restroom to wipe it off. This wasn't any fun, playful banter or behavior. We were PLEADING for new cocktails. How humiliating!! The replacement round she served us was fine so we wanted another; she ignored us, and I had to go to the bar to order another right from the bartender! He was dismissive and rude too, but at this point it was expected. After that round we left- people having fun at the bar were told to be quiet, we were told to be quiet- this bar was SO UNCOMFORTABLE to be at. Such a shame as they have the atmosphere and alcohol to create a great fun environment for everyone! At the end of the day, staff is everything, and beginning to end no one made us feel comfortable, welcomed, or appreciated. This was single-handedly THE WORST Bar experience I've had. Also, they have a velvet rope as if there were to be a line outside- yet there was none, it's comical and offensive. If you want to be exclusive, you have to be hot and have what it takes. This bar, simply, does not. Xoxo

Yelp
Still one of my fav bars. No menus so you just tell the bartender your preferences of drink of choice and off they go to surprise you. Now this concept could be hit or miss but the dim light and music selection make a great date night spot.

Pratima M.

Yelp
A unique bar in the heart of Williamsburg -- it gets popular, and for good reason! There isn't a set menu... rather, you tell the bartender flavors and liquors you like and they create a cocktail for you. Our table of 6 didn't have to wait more than ~15 minutes, but we also came in for a pre-dinner drink. I'd recommend coming with a smaller group, since the booth can get cozy. Our whole table had wildly different vibes and they nailed all the drinks. I asked for a mezcal base but maybe incorporating elements of a pisco sour -- I really loved the end result. I'll be back again soon!

Belle F.

Yelp
Really great energy, an attentive bartender and proper cocktails. Music level was perfect for convo over drinks.

Julia H.

Yelp
I should preface this review by saying that on the evening I went to fresh kills it was very late and it was not the first drink of the evening. This bar is very popular and I have internally gone back and forth on whether I wanted to give it a visit. I landed on the fact that I would go but only if there was no line/wait. Lucky for me around midnight on a saturday my criteria was met. My requests for my drink were mezcal, a little bubbly, not too sweet, and fruity. The drinks that came out were solid but I think I had more expectations as to the presentation. The vibe inside is cozy and intimate and I could see this being a fun place to catch up with a group of friends! Not sure if it would be worth a long wait but perhaps thats just me.

Melanie G.

Yelp
A cozier, more intimate vibe if you're looking for that. I enjoyed the ambiance for getting to know someone. I was able to have a drink crafted based on my cocktail preferences which was pretty cool. Friendly and attentive staff as well. Would come back.

Najin K.

Yelp
Fresh skills is consistently one of my favorite bars in Williamsburg. If you go here past 9 o'clock on a weekday, there is little to no wait. The drinks here are always well-made and the seating is perfect for a small group or a date.

Leela M.

Yelp
The service is great and the vibes are very cute! The drinks are pricey as expected, but still had a great time!

Preston S.

Yelp
Their menu-free cocktail program is a gamble but it's completely supported by talented bartenders who create unique drinks tailored to your flavor preferences. The music and great, the layout is nice, and the atmosphere is super sexy and sophisticated without being overly luxe or pretentious. There's a reason every other bartender in Williamsburg recommends it as the best cocktail bar.

Alana K.

Yelp
I came here with a friend on a Thursday night around 9pm. We waited about 25 minutes to get in. The inside was beautiful; very cool and great place to impress. There's no menu; you just tell the bartender what kind of drink you're interested in and work with them to come up with something. I told her I liked tequila, and she made me one of the best cocktails I've ever had. Not completely sure what was in it, nor do I care. It was damn good. Definitely would come back. I thought it was a really fun experience.

Hiral P.

Yelp
Great things to say about this bar! I've never been disappointed. I think the drink I got was similar to a gin sour with egg whites and it was very good. Great place to come with a couple friends. The waiting is kinda awkward. Never know if I should open the door or not. Just not a great vibe at the entrance.

Ilana Z.

Yelp
We were in the area and looking for a bar with good espresso martinis. We got in quickly and were able to get a table for 4. Fresh Kills does not have a menu - our waitress just asked us what we wanted / asked questions to figure out what type of drinks we liked. For the first round, three of us got espresso martinis. They came out very quickly. At first sip, the drink was sooooo sweet. So much simple syrup. On the next round, I got another without simple syrup and it was delicious. The drinks definitely got us buzzed. Good vibes and music. Nice spot to catch up with friends because it isn't too loud. We thought the bill would be pricier given no menu but it was around $160 for 8 drinks (pre tip). I would come back for another drink!

Min B.

Yelp
Fresh Kills had great vibes and drinks! The only downside was that we had to wait around 30 minutes, but if you go at the right time, you could just walk in without a wait. They don't have a menu, so we each told the staff what we like in drinks and almost all the drinks we got were very tasty. I would definitely go back if I was in the area.

James S.

Yelp
Drinks: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 8/10 Had a great night of drinks at Fresh Kills after Manchester City won the 2023 UEFA Champions League over Inter Milan 1-0 and completed the treble. We were sat at the far end of the bar and Susie (sp?) took care of us and she was great. Drinks were well made and she checked in on us often enough, even though she was consistently busy all night. Daiquiri: simple, but this is a drink I use to test whether a bar/bartender has their act together. This was great. Not too sweet, not too sour. Sounds simple enough, but you'd be surprised how often they turn out to be disappointments. Not this time. El Dorado 15 year rum (Guyana, neat) Yamazaki 12-year old single malt whisky (Japan, neat) Mai Tai: The Beach Boys' song Kokomo (1988, Elektra Records and featured in the Tom Cruise vehicle "Cocktail") had played as part of the bar's Spotify mix, and it got me thinking "yeah, I could use a tropical drink and get into a beach mindset." I checked with Susie to ensure they had orgeat (almond syrup) on hand, which is necessary for a properly made Mai Tai. They did, so we were in business. The drink was very nice, with a lot of crushed ice and wasn't super sweet. Fresh Kills is the sibling of LIC cocktail den Dutch Kills, and it doesn't have a cocktail menu. You just tell the bartender what you want or like, and they'll make something for you. It does not have soda, so don't suggest drinks that need it. It helps to do a little research beforehand to whittle down your list of what you want. Or just let the staff decide for you.

ray f.

Yelp
This visit was not my best and perhaps I should give 3.5 stars really. I like FKB finding it comfortable and having decent mixology. I'm not sure I want to stand in particularly long lines to get in so I go early. Tonight's cocktails were OK, but not great. My Turf Club was spot on, but my Blood and Sand was way too sweet and my request for it to be made with a smoky Islay seemed to go unheeded; or maybe just the excessive sweetness covered up the dearth of scotch. Our first requested cocktail - chili spicy, slightly sweet, sour - ended up being too pineapple sweet and syrupy and not particularly spicy. The second attempt at this made with mezcal instead of rum and with more chili was better. The real disappointment, though, was really slow service, like, really slow. I'll probably go back at some point when in Brooklyn, but I'm not rushing back.

Jasmin G.

Yelp
This is an awesome bar that is absolutely worth the wait. They don't take reservations so I'd recommend going at an off-peak time or preparing to wait if you happen to go on a weekend night. I love the concept of no menu - the bartenders are incredible and have made me a delicious, creative drink every time. I've been here twice so far and will continue to come back to try new creations. The vibe is cozy and comfortable. Such a gem!

John W.

Yelp
Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of the tell us what you like and we'll make it approach. I'm a menu-phile and study the hell out of the ingredients. Plus, I think it provides far more opportunity for me to get stuck with a pricey drink I don't like. So needless to say I was less than joyful once I realized that was their current format. Then I tasted the drinks. Extremely well-balanced. The tiki cocktail was classically wonderful. And the whiskey cocktail riff was one of the more unique drinks I've ever had. The bartenders are knowledgeable, speedy, and quite to the point. And, as I like to note, the music and white noise was at a great level.

Maggie T.

Yelp
Finally got around to trying Fresh Kills after hearing such good things about it from friends. I can officially say that it lived up to the hype! There's no menu, you just give your server an idea of what you want and the bartender will create something custom. Super cool concept! I asked for a fruity drink with vodka and received a super delicious pineapple and ginger cocktail. You can also order a classic cocktail, but I thought the element of surprise was really fun. Also, the inside of the bar was more beautiful than I expected. It's very sleek with low lighting and seems like it'd be a great place for a date. The biggest downside is they don't take reservations and it's table seating only, so you might have to wait in line outside until the host has a table ready for you (worth the wait though). Our server and host were great and super attentive. Overall, we had an excellent experience and I can't wait to come back!

Taylor Z.

Yelp
Quaint bar without a menu, bartender just asks what kind of flavors or style of drink you like. Both drinks were great! Not badly priced, not the biggest space so would recommend a smaller group max 4 people.

Linh L.

Yelp
What a cozy hidden gem ! We met up early for some drinks before dinner and stumbled upon this spot! There was a velvet rope behind the door and a host will come to you to seat you. I didnt get our host's name but she has blond hair and was lovely during our visit! This is not your typical bar! Theres no real menu. You tell them what you're craving for in terms of taste buds and what kind of alcohol you are a fan of and they make you a drink! We all loved our drinks ! They dont have any real bar food but definitely have pretzels and peanuts to snack on! But happy we came here for the experience!

Jessica G.

Yelp
I've been dying to try this place for a year or so but they don't take reservations and are always packed! I got there a few minutes before they opened in a Sunday and was the first party to be let in. Very romantic setting as the lights are very dim, there are groups of friends there as well. They have no cocktail menu, you tell the server what you like and they'll make a cocktail based on that. Very different and extremely yummy! They also can make any classic cocktail. Hopefully next time I come by they'll have a seat for me!

Kinjal P.

Yelp
Came here last night (Thursday night) there was a 5 minute wait so I guess we were lucky to get a spot so quickly. We love gin drinks so I ordered something similar to a French 75 while husband ordered a floral gin drink. We loved them both and ended up sharing our drinks because we couldn't decide which we liked more haha. A cool spot to bring a few friends or a date. No menu- they ask what you like and make a drink based off that. Def recommend mentioning things you don't like (for me aperol).

Emi B.

Yelp
Overall good but not amazing. Not really into the bar concept where there's no menu but when you ask for something interesting it came out not interesting enough. A bit tryin-to-be-cool vibe.

Kelsey P.

Yelp
Chill vibes and a cool concept! They don't have a menu, so you give the bartender a sense of what you like, and they'll create your drink. I'm usually pretty shy about these things, but our bartender was really great and helped us in the right direction, and the drinks were great! The place isn't too large, but we were able to walk in and get a booth for the five of us. The bar isn't too loud, so it's a great place to hang out and have conversations with a friend over drinks. Overall, great atmosphere and drinks!

Ashley Y.

Yelp
We both asked for tequila drinks, one sweet but not too sweet, one citrus-y. These did not disappoint! One was a tequila drink with grapefruit and the other was a tequila drink with apricot

Gab G.

Yelp
Started by an alum of Dutch Kills (the best bar in Queens), Fresh Kills has a few similarities to the other bar, while standing all on its own. My party of three walked in in at 8:35 on a Sunday night and got a booth. No menu; you tell the server or bartender what you want a la Attaboy and they bring you something awesome. We loved the Karaoke Honeymoon, Jet Pilot, Ex Pat and Casino cocktails. They also played Weezer's Blue Album in its entirety, which makes it a perfect bar.

Sophia S.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, good drinks. Remember the soup nazi episode in Seinfeld? This place is the cocktail equivalent. There's no menu, which is fine, but you need to order your drink in a specific way or they won't make you one. You have to choose a base & they will not recommend anything or guide your choices until you do. Staff are unfriendly, unhelpful, and their cocktail range & knowledge comes across as limited, but the drinks they do make are good, so if you're patient & if you care primarily about the base of your drink, you'll love it.

Glenn C.

Yelp
This review is going to be a bit short. It's not because the cocktail wasn't tasty, the bartender wasn't friendly, and the atmosphere wasn't nice, but rather the fact that I have only a partial clue what I drank as this was back in May prior to another dinner (at the nearby Atithi. Solid.) The friendly guy asked my general preferences and I said as per usual I like bitterer drinks, mostly amaro based with a touch of sweetness (i.e. not Campari based.) That's one of my two cocktail preferences along with bourbon based drinks and it depends on the mood. I think I remember him using Avena so my presumption is that it was the Malocchio with orange and chocolate bitters, averna, coffee liquor, calvados, and an orange twist. I remember a subtle orange sweetness with plenty of booze so that would make sense also. The cocktail was $15 and quite tasty. They gave some cucumber water to begin with which was a nice touch. Would go back and try more.

Marta M.

Yelp
Honestly , I cannot even begin to explain how well they made the cocktails considering there is no menu. I basically described what I wanted and Rob and Bear made them exactly how I wanted them but even better. I was honestly in awe of how amazing they made each cocktail. From a Negroni Bianco to a Clover Club all the way to a Classic Negroni variation which was absolutely phenomenal. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to do something completely different and go with the flow of things. I will definitely be coming back asap.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
I went here tonight by myself because I figured it increased my odds of being able to get in. I tried to come once before on a Sunday night in the cold with my boyfriend and wasn't super cool with waiting at the roped-off door to be acknowledged. Anyway, I returned today, a really nice, warm day, and turns out most folks were more interested in being outside than in a dark cocktail bar. I didn't love that this is the kind of place where the bartender decides what you'll have (it's too much of a gamble for an anxious person like me), but I got two different variations on a negroni and they were both great, as well as very different from one another. I was especially surprised when I asked for the check and the drinks were $19 each, including tax. To me, for a very popular cocktail bar in this neighborhood, this is quite reasonable. I can see why people like this place so much.

Isabel N.

Yelp
Neat concept. No menu, just tell them the types of cocktails you like and the types of spirits and they'll come up with something for you. Was not disappointed.

sandra R.

Yelp
Came here for drinks after dinner and the best time. The atmosphere, drinks and service were divine. Some of the best cocktails we've had.

Aidan E.

Yelp
C'mooon get outta heeere. We went here on a quiet rainy night when there weren't that many people out and we noticed there was no line for this place, and there usually is, so we decided to give it a try. We walked in. It was busy but not like full. We asked the hostess how long the wait was and she yelled across the bar, "Go wait outside". And we were like, "What? But there's no line. There's literally no one else outside. We're the only people waiting to get in. Just tell us, can you seat us and or not? how long is the wait?" Then she just stopped responding to us and looked down so we figured maybe she was busy doing inventory or something like that. So, we went outside... to wait...in the rain...for this hostess to eventually come out to tell us how long the wait was...for this bar that had literally no one else in line. I mean, there was literally no one else waiting to get in. And the three of us just stood there in the rain. It all felt very silly and pretentious, like they wanted to create this "exclusive club" vibe but it doesn't work cause 1. it's not a club it's just a small cocktail bar in Williamsburg and 2. it's not exclusive because, and I can't stress this enough, there was literally no one else waiting to get in. Also, they had these little silver poles by the door that they usually hang a velvet rope on but the velvet rope was missing. C'mooon. Get your head outta the clouds. You're a bar, not The Bellagio. Anyway, the hostess never came to get us and eventually we just left and went to another bar. Super weird experience. My advice to management: Your customer experience starts with the host or hostess. It starts the moment your customer walks in the door. Smile, communicate, be kind and treat your customers with respect. I get that everywhere is short-staffed these days but management needs to step up and own the customer experience and train their employees. If someone brings a date here, for example, and you treat them like that....no one wants to spend their date standing out in the rain waiting for a hostess that will never come get them. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Instead check out: 1. Maison Premiere. Great service, great cocktails, incredible oysters, and nice vibe w/ candles - perfect for a date or just a night out with friends. Also ask for the cod dip with the French bread it's amazing. or 2. Sauced. Incredible wine bar. Super, super high quality wines. Very very knowledgable wait staff. If you're big into wine this place is for you Also both (Sauced and MP) are like 2 blocks from here. If you can't get into those you can also check out Hole in the Wall or Woodhul Wine Bar (also two blocks). They're definitely not at the same level as Sauced or MP but they've got some nice drinks and they're solid choices if you want a drink in a pinch. You've got options, my friend. Enjoy your night

Caroline D.

Yelp
I stopped in here before a movie at Williamsburg Cinema and really fell in love with the concept of this place. They don't have a set menu - instead you explain what you typically like to the bartender and they whip up something unique. The bartender explained to me that most drinks they serve are plays on classic cocktails. I really liked both of the drinks that I was served, and it was fun to see everyone else's bevvies come out too.

Yelp
We were looking for a cozy bar to ring in the new year and Fresh Kills couldn't have done it more perfectly. It was almost a full bar but it wasn't chaotic or loud. Guests can share what kind of style cocktail they like and the bar will whip up something special and out of the ordinary for them. When I told them I wanted something up and with the texture of egg white froth, I was brought something delightfully vanilla, light, and not too boozy which I love. When it came 11:30 pm, the servers started handing out champagne flutes and poured us all multiple rounds of Prosecco. They had silver balloons on the ceiling that floated around all night and at night, played Auld Lang Syne - Guy Lombardo's version. It was so lighthearted, sweet and relaxed, we really enjoyed this night.

Yelp
Stopped for a cocktail at Fresh Kills Bar on Saturday night. A high-quality bar that really lets the creativity of its bartenders show. Quality: Always a fan of bars that place faith in their bartenders to come up with something delicious. I requested a sweet and spicy mezcal drink and was pretty happy with the result. Didn't quite nail the spiciness, opting for cinnamon rather than pepper, but still a satisfying drink. Had a few sips of the more floral gin drink my wife ordered. Not something I would want, but definitely had everything she enjoys. Quantity: Good mix of strength and flavor. Value: $18 for a Cocktail. Ambiance: Fresh Kills Bar is located in a busy section of Williamsburg. When you open the door you are immediately met with a velvet rope. They have specific seating assignments, so even if booths are open, you need a party of three or more to get into them. They have a front area with small tables, a few booths, and then bar seating. The bar had a bit of a nautical theme, with sailor portraits and a ship design. Crowd: A short wait for a seat on Saturday evening. People flow in and out relatively quickly. Service: No drink menu so heavy reliance on the bartenders. I felt they did a good job, though we both found small flaws in our requests. Parking: Limited street parking.

Yelp
Quite a pretentious bar with rude service. Pros: Was here at opening time and got seated right away for a group of 5 on a Sunday evening. Ambience is very nice. Perfect for a date or a nice evening out with friends. I had the spicy ginger drink which was tasty. Cons: I call it pretentious because they don't have a physical menu or a QR code. This made me think it was similar to Attaboy in the city (no menu, you tell the bartender what flavors you like and they whip something up on the spot so essentially you never have the same drink twice and they do not make you your basic drinks like espresso martinis or bloody Mary's, but if that's something you like, they'll whip that up but still add their own twist to it). Where as this place, didn't have a physical menu or a QR code, but rather they still had a set list of drinks you had to order from. My friends literally ordered gin and tonics, red wine, and an espresso martini. What the point of not having a menu if you're going to serve the most basic drinks? Service: very rude. Our first bartender was a woman with brown hair and she was very sweet- she just listed off the menu for us and left. The second bartender though was quite rude. My friend had questions about the menu and asked if they had any drinks that "weren't sweet or had sugar" to which he responded "well alcohol has sugar" in a very rude manner. Obviously we know that. She then had to specify "drinks with no added sugar" and he still wasn't very welcoming with telling her what options they had so she just ordered red wine. Would not come back.

Yelp
I came to here after visiting Baby's All Right for a Sam Fischer show and had a really nice time. I was looking for a place to have a really great cocktail and they didn't disappoint. Best part about this place is there are no drink menus. You give them a spirit and vibe and they'll make you something beautiful to drink. Will be back!!

Yelp
Amazing spot for a date with a dark - lit cozy interior. Although there will be a decent wait before you get inside. Amazing drinks & great ambiance!

Yelp
5 stars on the cocktails themselves, 1 star on the service. Had a little bit of a wait outside, even though it was only an hour after opening on a Sunday afternoon; but were finally able to get a seat inside, near the entrance in the front (limited seats at the bar and the tables in the back). Cool concept with drinks- where you let the bartender or waiter know what type of alcohol you like, and they whip you something up. The spicy tequila cocktail they made me was delicious- and I loved the big ice cubes. Unfortunately it was about 15 min before anyone came over to greet us or take our order, and took over an HOUR to receive those drinks (3 drinks for 3 of us). Took another 30 min to receive our bill, and another 30 min to get our credit card back. We 100% would've ordered atleast one more round, if drinks hadn't taken over an hour to receive.

Yelp
Yeah, I waited in a line when I was already a bit drunk in early fall to get in here in my late 30's. Life comes at you hard sometimes. The concept at Fresh Kills is that there's no menu. You describe the profile of the cocktail you want and the bartenders will make a drink according to that profile. I'm no alcoholic (don't have the time) but I think pretty much daily about the cocktail I had at Fresh Kills. We went to Pokito afterward and the scene was great. Why didn't I just stay for the art that is cocktail making at Fresh Kills ahhhh! I said I like cocktails that are fruity and with gin. The sole cocktail I ordered, the potable love of my life, was called The Debutante. It was pomegranate, lime, gin, and something else. It was perfect. I can't even describe the balance but it was mouth-puckering, fresh, sweet, herbaceous. UGH. Shakespeare, Pushkin, Nupur L...we've all been inspired by a drink now. Anyway, Fresh Kills is a place for which you SHOULD line up. I don't say that often but the cocktail making is transcendently good here. It's totally worth it. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
I loved my drinks here! They were spot-on to what I was wanting. They don't have a menu; you just tell them what you're in the mood for and they bring you something. My first drink was so good I could have ordered two, which I normally hate doing because I always want to try more things. Wish I could have gotten the recipe! The bartenders/servers were all very nice and helpful and the space is very swanky hipster inside. I loved it.
