"Operating inside a long-running eastside steak-and-sushi restaurant near the Desert Inn and Sandhill intersection, this concept was created by Wayne and Heidi Miyahira after they built a reputation in Haiku, Hawaii by running a food truck out of a small fishing boat. Known for sushi, rolls, tempura and katsu, the evolving menu at the Desert Inn location highlights items such as seared salmon with eel sauce, spicy tuna hand rolls and combination rolls like “Screaming O” and “Itsy Bisty Spider.” Practical details: located at 3751 E. A hidden gem Wayne and his wife brought the boat over from Maui! Def try their take on a corn dog! It’s wrapped in seaweed then in sushi rice before being fried and it’s damn good!!! Def try and support these guys around the corner from hard hat lounge.

Go fish combo , is the plate I had, first time here, can't wait to return, it's a boat , food truck, so cute, the owners are on site, loving what they do and you can taste it, 😍 in the food , fresh lite, but filling . lots of variety on the menu

Newly located behind the Strat. Drive down Industrial Road and look for the boat! Ample parking right up front. Cash and card accepted. Currently takeout only and no tap to pay. Menu offers a variety of choices - rice plates/bowls, tempura sushi and even a tempura hotdog! Quality of fish is unmatched - tastes like the fish were caught off the literal boat. The sides that accompany the dish compliment the fish well. And the sauces are what tie everything together. Service is top notch, 10/10!

I ordered CHIRASHI BOWL and GO FISH COMBO with shrimp. I'm a very picky eater but when I took a bite of the food it was amazingly delicious. Fish and everything was fresh and the sauces were excellent. I'll definitely go back and order some more!! I wish I could give them 10 stars.

This new hidden gem is a must try forsure!! If you're ever in the northern part of vegas (just outside of the strip) near the strat..make sure to stop by and grab a few bites from them. My husband and I ordered the Ahi Poke Plate w/ a scoop of spicy crab and regular crab mix. I've had many poke bowls and this one is definitely up there! The quality of the fish was beyond my expectations. The staff is just amazing and had excellent service. Highly recommend if you love poke Will be coming back soon!!

FotB is alive and well on Industrial Rd in Las Vegas. After following the incredible, sushi chef, Wayne and his wife Heidi from Vegas to Hawaii and back to the mainland, we were thrilled to enjoy some off the menu rolls once again. Their hospitality is unmatched! Their HI location had seating, and this is a to-go location -- no problem -- they pulled up chairs and sat us around their cooler. This is truly extraordinary sushi and that's coming from a sushi super foodie. M-I-L had the Mahi Mahi sandwich and loved it. We are coming back for lunch tomorrow! Sushi heaven awaits you at Fresh off the Boat! Thank you Heidi & Wayne for being so special and talented. Yum!

We've known Wayne and Heidi for many years, patronizing their sushi bar near the Strip, as well when they went back to Maui for some time. They have been back to Vegas for a while and we are happy to know that they set up shop again. Thankfully our go to, Cajun seared ahi salad is on the menu, tasting always amazing, better than any upscale brick and mortar restaurant out there. I had the tempura mahi mahi sandwich for the first time, it was probably the best I've eaten. Seems like dishes, flavors and combinations, just hit right.

I had the fish plate with fish tempura, tuna and butterfish. It was flavorful and cooked just right. At first I wasn't sure if I could eat the whole plate but once I had a bite, I couldn't stop! Loved the sauces that came with it. I will definitely be back.

Went to Fresh off the Boat yesterday and had the Cajun Ahi salad and it was da best. Come from Maui and know fresh fish and this melted in my mouth. The greens were crispy and the dressing complimented the plate. Would definitely go back and highly recommend this friendly food truck/ boat. Don't past it by.

Excellent Service, and welcoming people. I love the boat as their little kitchen it gives you that ocean feel. There sushi really tastes fresh off the boat, some of the best sushi I've had. This place is awesome. The fish was so fresh, the dressings delicious, and you can't meet better people than Heidi and Wayne. It's a touch out of the way for us in Centennial Hills and Summerlin, but it is worth. Don't let the location fool you, it's safe and you can park right next to the boat.
